1.Review on the Classification Method of TCM Prescription in the Past Dynasties
Journal of Zhejiang Chinese Medical University 2025;49(6):769-774
[Objective]To explore the general laws of the occurrence and development of the main prescription classification methods.[Methods]Based on the classification concepts of various formulas and the era background of the corresponding periods, explore the research for the emergence and development of disease classification, function classification, species classification and stroke classification.[Results]Disease classification was the main classification approach employed in medical books of past dynasties, which originated from the need of physicians to popularize their medication experience.Function classification and species classification were mainly refined during the Ming and Qing Dynasties. The common material basis for their emergence and development was the substantial number of proven prescriptions accumulated during the course of the development of traditional Chinese medicine.Among them, the function classification was used for organizing and researching current prescriptions, while the species classification was more frequently applied in the study of classical prescriptions from Treatise on Febrile Diseases.[Conclusion]Disease classification constitutes the main thread in the development of formula classification, profoundly mirroring the evolution of the overall theory of traditional Chinese medicine, which serves as the principal vehicle for the inheritance of the medicinal application experience in traditional Chinese medicine and directly caters to clinical practice.Function classification and species classification are further derivations of the classification of diseases and syndromes in the two trajectories of current prescriptions and classical prescriptions, both leaning towards theory to a greater extent.
2.On the Differentiation and Treatment of Comorbidities in Chinese Medicine Based on the"Formula-Disease-Person"Diagno-sis and Treatment Model
Journal of Nanjing University of Traditional Chinese Medicine 2025;41(9):1134-1139
Comorbidities will be a challenge faced by both Chinese and Western medicine in the future. The coexistence of multiple diseases logically begins with a holistic view of life that integrates form,qi,and spirit, and a holistic view of disease that integrates dis-ease and syndrome. From a Chinese medicine perspective, the core pathogenesis of comorbidities involves the interaction between ab-normal qi transformation and physical damage. The key to treatment lies in restoring the disordered state of qi.The basis for formula se-lection is the formula-syndrome.The therapeutic goal of the formula-syndrome is not a specific disease, but rather a holistic differenti-ation and treatment of the entire body.The"formula-disease-person"diagnosis and treatment model for treating comorbidities is a model for innovative theoretical guidance in clinical practice. It offers three approaches to diagnosing and treating comorbidities:formu-la-disease correspondence,formula-person correspondence, and formula-disease and formula-person correspondence, which provides a more original perspective and broader thinking for the study of comorbidity.

5.A Probe into the Holistic Concept of Professor Huang Huang's Formula-Disease-Person Diagnosis and Treatment Model
Journal of Nanjing University of Traditional Chinese Medicine 2024;40(9):875-879
To explore the connotation of the holistic view of"formula-disease-person"diagnosis and treatment model of Professor Huang Huang from the aspects of construction process, thinking dimension, clinical practice, etc. It's believed that"formula-dis-ease-person"diagnosis and treatment model is based on the holistic view of"unity of form and spirit",and contains a wealth of consti-tution epistemology based on the holism of"form-qi-spirit",which has the characteristics of three-dimensional,scene character and embodiment. From the perspective of therapeutics, two key points are derived, namely"correspondence between formula and person"and"correspondence between formula and disease",which embodies the systematic and holistic thinking of"constitution differentia-tion,disease differentiation, syndrome differentiation, pathogenesis differentiation",emphasizes the unity of formula-person,formula-disease,formula-syndrome and formula-pathogenesis,and is the embodiment of the idea of combining disease and syndrome.The"formula-disease-person"diagnosis and treatment model combines the formula-syndrome view of"diagnosis-identification"and the treatment view of constitution differentiation-disease differentiation and incorporates a holistic view throughout the entire process of dis-ease diagnosis and treatment, which has guiding significance for the treatment of chronic diseases and difficult diseases.

A method was developed for the determination of tetrodotoxin in marine organisms by high perfor-mance liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry with immunoaffinity column. The samples were extracted with 1% acetic acid methanol solution and diluted with phosphate buffer at pH 7-8. After cleaned up by immuno-affinity column, the samples were analyzed by LC-MS/MS and quantitatively determined by external standard method. The chromatographic separation was performed on an ACQUITY UPLC BEH Amide column with gradient elution by using acetonitrile and 5 mol/L ammonium acetate solution containing 0. 1% formic acid as mobile phase. Detection was carried out by electrospray positive ionization mass spectrometry in the multiple reaction monitoring mode. Linear ranges of TTX was in the range of 0. 3 -20. 0 μg/L with correlation coeffi-cient more than 0. 997. The quantification limit of the method was 0. 3 μg/kg. The recoveries of standard addition for tetrodotoxin were 88. 7%-102. 3%, and the relative standard deviation was 2. 0%-6. 4%. The method could be used to identify and quantify tetrodotoxin in marine organisms with satisfactory reproducibility and sensitivity.
