Objective To explore the characteristics of TCM syndromes in patients with obesity with metabolic associated fatty liver disease(MAFLD).Methods TCM Symptom Collection Form was developed to collect the clinical symptoms of obesity patients who attended the Department of Acupuncture and Moxibustion of Beijing Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine,Capital Medical University, from July to December of 2024.Factor analysis and clustering analysis were used to explore the distribution law of different syndrome elements and TCM syndromes. Results A total of 309 obese patients(221 with MAFLD)were included, with 20 symptoms with a frequency of≥5%.Factor analysis suggested that there was a significant difference between the two groups in the pathogenic syndrome elements of qi stagnation, yin deficiency,qi deficiency, hyperactivity of yang, yang deficiency, dampness, dynamic wind, and the locus of disease syndrome elements of the spleen and the heart spirit(P<0.05).Clustering analysis showed that the syndrome types of patients with MAFLD were mainly the syndrome of liver and stomach stagnation and heat, the syndrome of spleen deficiency and stomach heat, and the syndrome of spleen and kidney deficiency;the syndrome types of patients without MAFLD were mainly spleen-stomach qi stagnation, gastrointestinal excess-heat,spleen-deficiency-dampness obstruction, and spleen-kidney deficiency. Conclusion Patients of obesity with MAFLD are more likely to have the co-existence of the pathogenesis of damp-heat obstruction and spleen-kidney deficiency.

Neurosyphilis is a group of clinical syndromes caused by treponema pallidum invading the central nervous system and causing varying degrees of damage to the brain parenchyma, brain (spinal) membrane or spinal cord. Cerebral syphilitic gumma is the rarest form of neurosyphilis, and its clinical manifestations lack specificity, which is easily confused with other intracranial space occupying lesions on imaging. In this article, a patient with cognitive dysfunction, intracranial hypertension, and imaging findings similar to multicentric glioma was diagnosed as cerebral syphilitic gumma by serology, cerebrospinal fluid test and brain histopathology. The symptoms basically disappeared after treatment with standard penicillin. This report aims to raise awareness of cerebral syphilitic gumma in order to reduce missed diagnosis and misdiagnosis.

Objective To resolve the problems of comprehensive evaluation on pilot's situation cognition basing on studying the mission situation. Methods The model of fuzzy comprehensive evaluation on pilots' situation cognitive was established on the basis of researches on concepts and methods of environmental quality evaluation in environment science. Results On the basis of theoretical consideration and analysis of experiments, the state of pilot's situation cognition was revealed preliminarily. Conclusion It is showed that the fuzzy comprehensive evaluation method on pilot's situation cognition can provide real and complete flight cognitive information. It is reliable basis for pilot's efficacy of training and flight safety.

Objective To establish a system to evaluate the mental workload on visual display interface in airplane cockpit after synthesizing three kinds of mental workload assessment techniques,i.e.main task measure method, physiology measure method and subjective evaluate method. Methods The evaluation indices of every kind of assessment techniques was defined, and the amount of each index through experiment and subjective inquiry was gained, weighted average was calculated and a quantification evaluation value of each kind of evaluation methods was got.At last, with weighted calculation of above three evaluation values, the evaluation value of mental workload on visual display interface in airplane cockpit was obtained. Results In M kinds of different designs of visual display interface in airplane cockpit, the synthetic evaluation value of one design was the smallest and the mental workload of this design was the smallest. The design of the smallest mental workload was chosen prior as the final scheme of visual display interface in airplane cockpit. Conclusion The evaluation system is combined with present main evaluation methods of mental workload and utilizes their advantages. The evaluating result can be quantified more directly and clearly. With this evaluation system, the mental workload can be evaluated during the design of visual display interface of airplane cockpit and the best scheme can be confirmed.

Objective This paper deals with the problem of human movement characteristics of target acquisition. Method A hypothetical model was posed by using experimental data. Result The conception of final target size was put forward, an equation for calculating the movement time of target acquisition was obtained, and a new definition of index of difficulty was given. Conclusion Analysis of experimental data showed that this equation could give a better description of target acquisition in a wide range.

AIM To determine whether O-β -D-fructofuranosyl-〔(2→1 )-O-β-D-fructofuransyl〕4α-D-glucopyranoside (inulin-type hexasaccharide, IHS), a monomer extracted from the roots of Morinda of ficinalis How, has antidepressant action. METHODS Fo rced swimming tests in mice and rats and differential-reinforcement-of-low-r ate 72 second schedule (DRL 72 s) in rats were used. RESULTS In the forced swimming test in mice, IHS (80 mg*kg-1, po), like the effe ct of clinically effective antidepressant desipramine (10 mg*kg-1, ip), produced significant decrease in immobility time. IHS (20 mg*kg-1,po ) also elicited significant decrease in immobility time in forced swimming test in rats, which was comparable to the effect of desipramine (40 mg*kg-1, po). Moreover, in the DRL 72 s in rats, IHS (5~10 mg*kg-1, ip), s imilar to desipramine (5 mg*kg-1, ip), elicited significant increase in reinforcers. CONCLUSION These findings demonstrate that IHS has antidepressant action and is an effective component extracted from the root s of Morinda officinalis How.
