Cemental tear is a rare and indetectable condition unless obvious clinical signs present with the involvement of surrounding periodontal and periapical tissues. Due to its clinical manifestations similar to common dental issues, such as vertical root fracture, primary endodontic diseases, and periodontal diseases, as well as the low awareness of cemental tear for clinicians, misdiagnosis often occurs. The critical principle for cemental tear treatment is to remove torn fragments, and overlooking fragments leads to futile therapy, which could deteriorate the conditions of the affected teeth. Therefore, accurate diagnosis and subsequent appropriate interventions are vital for managing cemental tear. Novel diagnostic tools, including cone-beam computed tomography (CBCT), microscopes, and enamel matrix derivatives, have improved early detection and management, enhancing tooth retention. The implementation of standardized diagnostic criteria and treatment protocols, combined with improved clinical awareness among dental professionals, serves to mitigate risks of diagnostic errors and suboptimal therapeutic interventions. This expert consensus reviewed the epidemiology, pathogenesis, potential predisposing factors, clinical manifestations, diagnosis, differential diagnosis, treatment, and prognosis of cemental tear, aiming to provide a clinical guideline and facilitate clinicians to have a better understanding of cemental tear.

Endo-periodontal lesions(EPLs)involve both the periodontium and pulp tissue and have complicated etiologies and pathogenic mechanisms,including unique anatomical and microbiological characteristics and multiple contributing factors.This etiological complexity leads to difficulties in determining patient prognosis,posing great challenges in clinical practice.Furthermore,EPL-affected teeth require multidisciplinary therapy,including periodontal therapy,endodontic therapy and others,but there is still much debate about the appropriate timing of periodontal therapy and root canal therapy.By compiling the most recent findings on the etiology,pathogenesis,clinical characteristics,diagnosis,therapy,and prognosis of EPL-affected teeth,this consensus sought to support clinicians in making the best possible treatment decisions based on both biological and clinical evidence.

As a crucial regulatory molecule in the context of vascular stenosis, transforming growth factor-β (TGF-β), plays a pivotal role in its initiation and progression. TGF-β, a member of the TGF-β superfamily, can bind to the TGF-β receptor and transduce extracellular to intracellular signals through canonical Smad dependent or noncanonical signaling pathways to regulate cell growth, proliferation, differentiation, and apoptosis. Restenosis remains one of the most challenging problems in cardiac, cerebral, and peripheral vascular disease worldwide. The mechanisms for occurrence and development of restenosis are diverse and complex. The TGF-β pathway exhibits diversity across various cell types. Hence, clarifying the specific roles of TGF-β within different cell types and its precise impact on vascular stenosis provides strategies for future research in the field of stenosis.

Objective:To understand the work experiences of vaccination nurses in western China under the background of free vaccination with COVID-19 vaccine of the entire population, and provide references for these nurses to better their performance in large-scale COVID-19 vaccination.Methods:Semi-structured interviews were conducted on working experience of COVID-19 vaccination with 11 community outpatient nurses who participated in the " Second Western Immunization Planning and Health Summit Forum" held in Chongqing on April 16 to 18, 2021. The sample size was set as information saturation, and the 7-step Colaizzi analytical methods was used in data clarification and analysis.Results:Such interviews extracted three themes: difficulties and challenges, psychological experience, organization and coordination. Difficulties and challenges included shortage of nursing human resources, shortage of resources for routine vaccination, imperfect online appointments, and epidemic prevention and control risks brought by mass vaccination; psychological experience included strong sense of responsibility, accumulation of anxiety, and lack of social identity; organizational coordination included organizational and the overall integration of vaccination resources.Conclusions:Community vaccination nurses have demonstrated a high sense of responsibility and mission in the work of the COVID-19 vaccination. Software and hardware facilities should be enhanced for higher efficiency; vaccination nurses deserve more psychological assistance to help ease their tension; the localities are recommended to organize their vaccination work to fit local conditions.

Background At present, the evaluation of water quality in public swimming places mostly adopts the single index evaluation method, ignoring the possible correlation between the indicators, the problem of information overlap between the indicators, and the differences between the swimming places with single or multiple unqualified water quality indicators. Objective To evaluate water quality in public swimming places in Chongqing objectively, intuitively, and comprehensively. Methods In 2020, a stratified random sampling method was used to investigate seven water quality indicators of 112 public swimming places in the central urban area, the new downtown urban area, the northeastern area, and the southeastern area of Chongqing. The selected indicators were free residual chlorine, turbidity, pH, free residual chlorine in disinfection pool of feet, urea, total plate count, and coliform bacteria. Principal component analysis was utilized to comprehensively evaluate water quality of swimming places by calculating principal component characteristic values and comprehensive evaluation values. Results The qualification rates of free residual chlorine, turbidity, pH, free residual chlorine in disinfection pool of feet, urea, total plate count, and coliform bacteria were 91.30%, 89.40%, 91.30%, 91.30%, 99.00%, 95.20%, and 86.50%, respectively, and the P₅₀ values were 0.455 mg·L⁻¹, 0.59 NTU, 7.352, 6.63 mg·L⁻¹, 0.78 mg·L⁻¹, 8 CFU·mL⁻¹, and 0 CFU·100mL⁻¹, respectively. The results of principal component analysis showed that KMO=0.573, P<0.001; four principal components were extracted, the eigenvalues of each principal component were 2.990, 1.624, 0.854, and 0.617, respectively, and the cumulative contribution rate was 86.928%. The comprehensive values of Banan District, Beibei District, Bishan District, Fengdu County, Fengjie County, Jiangbei District, Nan'an District, Nanchuan District, Pengshui County, Qianjiang District, Rongchang District, Shizhu County, Tongnan District, Wanzhou District, Yongchuan District, Yuzhong District, Changshou District, and Zhongxian County were −0.139, 0.228, 0.587, 0.042, −3.365, 0.587, 0.597, 0.587, 0.587, 0.189, −1.127, −0.201, −0.181, 0.587, 0.416, 0.587, 0.587, −0.098, and 0.043, respectively. The comprehensive evaluation values (P₅₀) of the central urban area, the new downtown urban area, the southeastern area, and the northeastern area of Chongqing were 0.587, 0.587, −0.181, and 0.043, respectively. Conclusion The hygienic status of water in public swimming places in Chongqing is above average in China, but there are still potential health problems in turbidity and bacterial pollution in the southeastern area and Fengjie County of Chongqing.

Objective To investigate the attitude of PhD nursing students towards clinical work. Methods A qualitative research was made to ten full-time PhD students in nursing from six universities in a semi-structured interview,with the data so acquired analyzed using Colaizzi phenomenological methedology. Results Four themes were extracted from the analysis.They are their evaluation on nursing career and clinical work;their role in clinical work;their concerns for engaging in clinical work;and their expectations for clinical work.Conclusions Some of the nursing PhD students intend to engage in clinical nursing work after graduation, yet not without concerns, namely decent positions and career development.In this consideration,nursing administrators should take into full account of the students′career expectations and value their important role in this field.In addition, a scientific hierarchical management system should be established,suitable positions should be set up, and new fields of clinical nursing practice explored, in order to fully leverage their talents and promote disciplinary progress to the field of nursing.

Objective To investigate the status quo,influencing factors and training willingness of rescue knowledge in elderly people so as to provide the basis for formulating the elderly rescue training programs.Methods A total of 488 elderly people in three urban districts of Guiyang City were sampled by simple random and convenient sampling methods.The self-made elderly people rescue knowledge and skill status quo questionnaire was used to conduct the investigation.The general condition,training status quo and willingness were descriptively analyzed.The rescue knowledge score adopted the independent sample t test and variance analysis.Results The rescue knowledge status quo:the awareness rate of medical emergency call was the highest(66.6％),and the rest rescue awareness rate was less than 20.0 ％.The training status quo and willingness:the people receiving the rescue knowledge training orly accounted for 13.3％.91.9 ％ and 94.1％ of the elderly people considered it necessary and were willing to participate in the rescue knowledge training.The pathways obtaining the rescue knowledge:network media and families or friends introduction accounted for 37.5 ％ and 22.4 ％ respectively,followed by books and magazines,publicity column and related knowledge lectures.The influencing factors:the knowledges and skills grasping situation in the elderly people experiencing the rescue training was better than those without experience.The higher the education level,the better grasping the rescue knowledge.The grasping situation in different occupations from high to low were special technical staffs,administrative staffs,workers and farmers.Conclusion The elderly people are short of rescue knowledge,their willingness of the first aid training is strong.The government and relevant agencies should jointly perfect the first aid law and first aid training system,and formulate the rescue training program that suitable for the elderly physical and mental characteristics,increase the rescue training strength and increase the rescue ability of the elderly people.

Objective To understand the current situation of nursing human resources at tertiary hospitals in Guiyang city , and to recommend on strategies for nursing human resource management under the universal two-child policy .Methods Stratified sampling method was adopted , and 141 head nurses were sampled from 5 tertiary hospitals in Guiyang city for a customized questionnaires survey .The survey aimed at learning the nursing human resource allocation and work scheduling model in the face of growing number of pregnant and puerperal nurses .Results The 141 departments surveyed in Guiyang tertiary hospitals had a total of 2667 nurses and 6604 beds, with a nurse-bed ratio of 0.4:1 for the hospital in general , but only 34.1％of the departments reached this standard .The number of second-time pregnant nurses and second-time maternity leave nurses posed a significant impact on nursing human resource management (P<0.05). Conclusions Currently tertiary hospitals in Guiyang city seriously lack nursing human resource and the allocation was uneven .With the implementation of the universal two-child policy , the increased number of pregnant and maternity leave nurses placed a great pressure to clinical departments , It is recommended that nursing managers increase the number of nurses , raise bed-nurse ratio up to national requirements , recruit and retain male nurses , call back retired and capable nurses , and minimize factors affecting human resource stability;establish a survey mechanism to learn nurses fertility intention , avoid excessive concentration of pregnant nurses over the same period , and make a reasonable scheduling , for nursing quality stability .

Objective　To review the experience in the management of burned patients inflicted by inhalation injury in our institute in the past 42 years. Methods　Patients with inhalation injury were analyzed chronically in three different periods as 1958 to 1980, 1981 to 1990, and 1991 to 2000. Results　The mortality rates in general and in terms of different degrees decreased obviously with the elapse of time. In other words, the rates were 48.93%, 26.60% and 8.53 for the above three periods. Conclusion　The mortality of inhalation injury was decreased dramatically during the last decade in our institute. Five main measures consisting of inhalation of high concentration or pure oxygen, preventive tracheotomy, frequent tracheal lavage with small amount of lavage fluid at early stage of postburn, mechanical ventilation with PEEP and humidification as early as possible, and application of exogenous pulmonary surfactant contribute greatly to the decrement of death rate in the patients with inhalation injury.
