Amorphous calcium phosphate（ACP）is a component of urinary stones，primarily forming mixed stones with calcium oxalate，while pure ACP stones are relatively rare. This article reports a case of a patient with an ACP bladder stone who was admitted due to progressive dysuria over 5 years，which had worsened in the past months. Upon admission，tPSA was 29.63 ng/ml. CT and enhanced MRI revealed multiple bladder stones and prostatic hyperplasia. The patient underwent ultrasound-guided prostate biopsy and transurethral cystolithotripsy with pneumatic lithotripsy. Postoperative infrared spectroscopy confirmed the stone composition as ACP，and prostatic adenocarcinoma was diagnosed by prostate biopsy pathology. Endocrine therapy was administered postoperatively，and follow-up imaging at 3 months showed no stone. This article presents the first reported case of an ACP bladder stone coexisting with prostate cancer，providing important clinical insights into the etiology of such stones and the rare local manifestations of prostate cancer.

Objective:To explore a new surgical approach [anteromedial approach of the hip (AMA)] for Pipkin Ⅰ and Ⅱ femoral head fractures through an imaging and anatomical study.Methods:The hip imaging data were collected of the 38 patients who had undergone lower limb CT angiography for open tibiofibular fractures at Department of Orthopaedics, The Sixth People’s Hospital, School of Medicine, Shanghai Jiao Tong University from June 2023 to January 2024. There were 20 males aged (40.9±3.5) years and 18 females aged (41.5±3.3) years. The origins and shapes of the femoral artery and its main branches were observed. The distances between the femoral head and the femoral artery, the medial femoral circumflex artery, and the lateral femoral circumflex artery were measured. Four fresh adult cadavers were collected, including 2 males and 2 females. Their ages of death were 56, 65, 72 and 78 years old, respectively. An incision was made along the axis of the limb at the midpoint of the inguinal ligament at the 4 fresh cadavers. After the femoral head was exposed through the gap between the femoral artery and the femoral nerve, the range of the femoral head exposed was marked.Results:The femoral artery ran along the anteromedial side of the femoral head. The shortest distance between the medial femoral circumflex artery and the femoral head was (13.1±5.7) mm, and the shortest distance between the origin of the lateral femoral circumflex artery and the femoral head (21.6±8.6) mm. On the lateral view of CT angiography, the distance between the femoral artery and the femoral head was (20.6±4.9) mm at the level of the apex of greater trochanter. Gross observation on the cadavers found only small branches of vessels between the femoral artery and the femoral nerve. After the femoral artery and femoral nerve were respectively pulled medially and laterally, the anterior-inferior part of the femoral head was exposed directly by pulling the muscles to open the joint capsule. The exposure range of the femoral head was further expanded through internal and external rotation of the hip joint under traction. The anatomical gap between the femoral artery and the femoral nerve was named the AMA.Conclusion:AMA utilizes the potential gap between the femoral artery and the femoral nerve, providing a new surgical approach for exposure and fixation of Pipkin type Ⅰ and Ⅱ femoral head fractures.

ObjectiveTo understand the infection characteristics of multidrug-resistant organisms (MDROs) in hospitalized patients in a tertiary sentinel hospital in Shanghai, so as to provide an evidence for the development of targeted prevention and control measures. MethodsData of MDROs strains and corresponding medical records of some hospitalized patients in a hospital in Shanghai from 2021 to 2023 were collected, together with an analysis of the basic information, clinical treatment, underlying diseases and sources of sample collection. ResultsA total of 134 strains of MDROs isolated from hospitalized patients in this hospital were collected from 2021 to 2023 , including 63 strains of methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA), 57 strains of carbapenem-resistant Acinetobacter baumannii (CRAB), and 14 strains of carbapenem-resistant Klebsiella pneumoniae (CRKP). Of the 134 strains, 30 strains were found in 2021, 47 strains in 2022 and 57 strains in 2023. The male-to-female ratio of patients was 2.05∶1, with the highest percentage (70.90%) in the age group of 60‒<90 years. The primary diagnosis was mainly respiratory disease, with lung and respiratory tract as the cheif infection sites. There was no statistically significant difference in the distribution of strains between different genders and infection sites (P>0.05). However, the differences in the distribution of strains between different ages and primary diagnosis were statistically significant (P<0.05). Patients who were admitted to the intensive care unit (ICU), had urinary tract intubation, were not artery or vein intubated, were not on a ventilator, were not using immunosuppresants or hormones, and were not applying radiotherapy or chemotherapy were in the majority. There was no statistically significant difference in the distribution of strains for whether received radiotherapy or chemotherapy or not (P>0.05), while the differences in the distribution of strains with ICU admission history, urinary tract intubation, artery or vein intubation, ventilator use, and immunosuppresants or hormones use or not were statistically significant (all P<0.05). The type of specimen was mainly sputum, the hospitalized ward was mainly comprehensive ICU, the sampling time was mainly in the first quarter throughout the year, the number of underlying diseases was mainly between 1 to 2 kinds, the application of antibiotics ≥4 kinds, and those who didn’t receive any surgery recently accounted for the most. There were statistically significant differences in the distribution of strains between different specimen types, wards occupied and history of ICU stay (P<0.05), but no statistically significant difference in the distribution of strains between different sampling times, number of underlying diseases and types of antibiotics applied (P>0.05). ConclusionThe situation of prevention and control on MDROs in this hospital is still serious. Focus should be placed on high-risk factors’ and infection monitoring and preventive measures should be strengthened to reduce the incidence rate of MDROs infection.

Objective:To analyze the prevalence, trends in disease burden, and risk factors of esophageal cancer in various provinces of China from 1990 to 2019.Methods:Utilizing data from the 2019 global burden of disease study, the disease burden of esophageal cancer of 31 provinces, municipalities, and autonomous regions, as well as Hong Kong Special Administrative Region and Macao Special Administrative Region of China from 1990 to 2019 were analyzed. The disease burden of esophageal cancer in China was described with the number (and incidence) of cases, the number (and mortality) of death, and disability-adjusted life year (DALY) and their age-standardized rates. Joinpoint regression analysis and t-test were used to evaluate the annual percent change and the average annual percent change (AAPC). Scatter plots and Spearman correlation coefficients were performed to analyze the correlation between the disease burden of esophageal cancer and the socio-demographic index (SDI), as well as DALY in each province. Results:In 2019, there were 278 121 new cases of esophageal cancer and 257 316 deaths in China, increased by 60.13% and 45.70% respectively compared with 1990. The top 3 provinces with the highest age-standardized incidence of esophageal cancer were Sichuan Province (25.96/100 000), Jiangsu Province (23.80/100 000), and Fujian Province (21.98/100 000). From 1990 to 2019, except for Jiangsu Province and Sichuan Province, the age-standardized incidence in other provinces showed a declining trend. The age-standardized mortality and DALYs of esophageal cancer decreased in all provinces as well as in Hong Kong and Macao Special Administrative Regions of China. The attributable risk factors of esophageal cancer caused deaths in China mainly included smoking, alcohol consumption, high body mass index, and low fruit intake, accounting for 91.38% of all the cases. With the increase of the SDI, the age-standardized rates of DALY in high incidence areas of esophageal cancer (Sichuan Province, Jiangsu Province, Fujian Province, Henan Province, Chongqing City, Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, Shanxi Province, and Anhui Province) demonstrated a trend of initially decline and then an upward. In contrast, the age-standardized rates of DALY of esophageal cancer in other provinces, as well as in Hong Kong and Macao Special Administrative Regions of China, showed a trend of initially upward and then decline. The age-standardized rate of DALY of esophageal cancer showed a negative correlation with SDI ( r=-0.315, P<0.001). From 1990 to 2019, the age-standardized incidence and mortality of esophageal cancer generally demonstrated a downward trend. The AAPC was -1.43% ( t=-19.16, P<0.001) for incidence and -1.83% ( t=-29.63, P<0.001) for mortality, respectively. It is projected that by 2044, the actual number of new esophageal cancer cases in China will increase from 278 121 in 2019 to 291 206 in 2044, and the actual number of deaths will increase from 257 316 to 275 856. Conclusions:In recent years, the disease burden of esophageal cancer in China remains a serious status, with significant differences in geography and gender. It is projected that by 2044, the number of new esophageal cancer cases and deaths in China will continue to increase. Effective strategies and policies are urgently needed to reduce the disease burden.

Background::Evaluating the impact of digestive system diseases is vital for devising effective prevention strategies. However, comprehensive reports on the burden of digestive system diseases in China are lacking. Our study aimed to provide an overview of the burden and trends of digestive system diseases from 1990 to 2019 in China and its provinces.Methods::This cross-sectional study utilized the Global Disease Burden Study 2019 to estimate the incidence, mortality rate, disability-adjusted life years (DALYs), years of life disability, years of life lost, and changes in the burden of digestive diseases across Chinese provinces from 1990 to 2019. The analysis of disease burden primarily examines the characteristics of sub-disease distribution, time trends, age distribution, and sex distribution. Additionally, we compared provincial age-standardized DALYs for digestive diseases with the expected rates based on the socio-demographic index (SDI).Results::In 2019, there were 499.2 million cases of digestive system diseases in China, resulting in 1,557,310 deaths. Stomach cancer, colon and rectal cancer, and esophageal cancer are the top three diseases associated with mortality and DALY related to digestive system diseases. Meanwhile, cirrhosis and other chronic liver diseases, gastroesophageal reflux disease, and gallbladder and biliary diseases are the top three kinds of diseases with the highest prevalence among digestive system diseases. The risk of gastric cancer sharply increases among men after the age of 40 years, leading to a significant disparity in burden between men and women. As the SDI increased, the DALYs associated with digestive system diseases in China and its provinces showed a downward trend.Conclusion::Our study highlights the inverse correlation between DALYs associated with digestive system diseases and the SDI.

Objective: To understand the interrelationships of parental control, peer relationship, and aggressive behavior in junior high school students, in order to provide a theoretical basis for preventing the occurrence of adolescent aggressive behavior. Methods: During June to July, 2022, 2 564 students of grade one to grade three were selected from 6 junior high schools from each of Suzhou and Xuancheng cities in Anhui Province by using convenient cluster random sampling method, and then the questionnaire survey was administered, including the Chinese version of Parent Control Questionnaire, Chinese version of Buss & Perry Aggression Questionnaire and Adolescent Peer Relationship Questionnaire. Results: Boys scored (185.31±27.49, 21.65±7.43, 21.77 ±8.18, 69.50±11.41, 72.39±11.53) higher than girls (178.21±25.13, 20.08±7.09, 20.61±7.62, 66.56± 11.14 , 70.95± 11.84 ) in parental control, father s psychological control, mother s psychological control, father s behavioral control, and mother s behavioral control ( t =8.63, 5.47, 3.70, 6.60, 3.12), while girls scored (48.41±11.26) higher in peer relationship than boys ( 47.13 ± 10.84 ) ( t =-2.95) ( P <0.01). The scores of first grade students in parental control, father s psychological control, mother s psychological control, father s behavior control, peer relationship, and aggressive behavior (184.67±27.18, 21.83± 7.29 , 22.15±8.07, 68.81±10.95, 50.21±9.57, 80.23±17.66) were higher than those of second gradestudents (180.98±25.46, 20.16±7.82, 20.21±7.55, 68.29±11.69, 45.47±11.67, 74.08±17.70) and third grade students (179.21±26.79, 20.53±7.22, 21.17 ± 8.06 , 66.81± 11.39 , 47.54±11.43, 75.75±16.29) ( F =9.44, 12.87, 13.61, 6.84, 42.85, 30.40, P <0.01). The scores of parental control and peer relationship were positively correlated with the scores of aggressive behavior ( r=0.22, 0.47, P <0.01). Peer relationship partially mediate the relationship between parental control and aggressive behavior, with a partial mediation effect value of 0.04, accounting for 26.39% of the total effect of parental control on aggressive behavior. Conclusions High parental control and poor peer relationship are both positively correlated with the level of aggressive behavior. The peer relationship of teenagers should be improved by establishing appropriate parenting style, tackling campus violence, and maintaining good social norms, in order to reduce the occurrence of aggressive behavior among adolescents.

Objective To investigate the correlations microRNA-203a-3p(miR-203a-3p)and paired allographic box protein 2B(PHOX2B)expression levels in glioma tissues with clinical features and prognosis.Methods Ninety-six glioma patients admitted to our hospital from June 2017 to April 2020 were included in the study.The resected glioma tissues and corresponding paracancerous tissues from the patients were collected intraop-eratively.qRT-PCR and immunohistochemistry were conducted to detect the expression of miR-203a-3p and PHOX2B mRNA in glioma tissues and paracancerous groups.Pearson's method was used to analyze the correlation between miR-203a-3p and PHOX2B mRNA.Kaplan-Meier survival curves were used to analyze the correlations of miR-203a-3p and PHOX2B mRNA with the prognosis of glioma patients.COX regression was used to analyze the risk factors affecting the prognosis of glioma patients.Results The miR-203a-3p level and positive expression rate of glioma tissues were significantly lower than that of paracancerous tissues(P<0.05),and the PHOX2B mRNA level and positive expression rate were significantly higher than that of paracancerous tissues(P<0.05).By Pearson correlation analysis,the miR-203a-3p and PHOX2B mRNA levels of glioma patients were negatively correlated(P<0.05).miR-203a-3p and PHOX2B were associated with KPS score,tumor tissue necrosis,and WHO grading(P<0.05).Kaplan-Meier curve analysis yielded the results that the survival rate of the miR-203a-3p highly expressed group was significantly higher than that of the lowly expressed group(P<0.05),and the survival rate of the PHOX2B mRNA highly expressed group was significantly lower than that of the lowly expressed group(P<0.05).COX regression analysis showed that miR-203a-3p,PHOX2B mRNA,tumor tissue necrosis,and WHO grading were the risk factors affecting the prognosis of glioma patients(P<0.05).Conclusion The expression level of miR-203a-3p is obviously reduced and the expression level of PHOX2B mRNA is obviously increased in glioma,both showing close correlation with clinical characteristics and prognosis.
