ObjectiveTo establish an adjusted Serfling regression model to estimate the excess cases and the excess epidemic period of hand-foot-mouth disease (HFMD) in Beijing from 2011 to 2019, so as to provide data support and decision-making basis for HFMD prevention and control. MethodsThe weekly number of HFMD cases in Beijing from 2011 to 2019 was utilized for adjusted the Serfling regression model. Then the adjusted model was used to fit the baseline and epidemic threshold of HFMD in Beijing from 2011 to 2019, calculating the excess cases and determining the excess epidemic period. ResultsA total of 279 306 cases of HFMD were reported in Beijing from 2011 to 2019, with the climax of the disease occurring in summer and autumn. After adjusting the fitting R² of the Serfling regression model to 0.773, a total of 10 excess epidemic periods totaling 92 weeks were estimated, mainly occurring in summer. The highest number of excess cases during an excess epidemic period was found in 2014 (1 272 cases, 95%CI: 990‒1 554), accounting for 65.04% of the actual cases (95%CI: 50.62%‒79.46%). ConclusionThe adjusted Serfling regression model fits well and can be utilized for early warning of HFMD and estimating the disease burden caused by HFMD.

Objective To obtain the data of radiological diagnosis and treatment resource distribution at medical institutions of different levels and in various cities, understand the status of resource allocation, provide policy-making basis and suggestions for optimizing the allocation of radiological diagnosis and treatment resources within the province, and offer data and references for related research. Methods A basic situation questionnaire survey was conducted on radiological diagnosis and treatment institutions in Hunan Province. Data were reviewed, analyzed, and statistically processed using Excel software to understand the allocation situation of radiological diagnosis and treatment resources in Hunan Province. Results As of 2022, there were 3031 radiological diagnosis and treatment institutions, 19770 radiation workers, and 6617 pieces of radiological diagnostic and treatment equipment. There were 80 radiation treatment institutions, 49 nuclear medicine institutions, 178 interventional radiology institutions, and 3028 X-ray imaging diagnosis institutions. There were 1077 radiation workers in radiation treatment, 461 radiation workers in nuclear medicine, 3369 radiation workers in interventional radiology, and 14,863 radiation workers in X-ray imaging diagnosis. There were 135 pieces of radiation treatment equipment, 56 pieces of nuclear medicine equipment, 262 pieces of interventional radiology equipment, and 6164 pieces of X-ray imaging diagnosis equipment. Conclusion Primary and lower grade medical institutions in Hunan Province account for a relatively high proportion of the total number of medical institutions, whereas radiological diagnostic and treatment resources are predominantly concentrated in tertiary medical institutions, demonstrating a unbalanced allocation of radiological diagnosis and treatment resources in various cities. In terms of the overall allocation of radiological diagnosis and treatment resources, interventional radiology is superior to the national average, nuclear medicine and X-ray imaging diagnosis are comparable to the national averages, and radiation treatment is lower than the national average. The total GDP is not the decisive factor in determining the development of local medical levels. It is suggested that relevant authorities should improve the rationality of the planning for the allocation of radiological diagnosis and treatment resources, promote the allocation of radiological diagnosis and treatment resources to the grassroots and underdeveloped areas through various measures, and thus achieve the goal of balanced resource allocation.

Osteoarthritis (OA) causes chronic pain that significantly impairs quality of life, with current treatments often proving insufficient and accompanied by adverse effects. Recent research has identified the dorsal root ganglion (DRG) and its resident macrophages as crucial mediators of chronic OA pain through neuroinflammation driven by macrophage polarization. We present a novel injectable thermo-sensitive hydrogel system, KAF@PLEL, designed to deliver an anti-inflammatory peptide (KAF) specifically to the DRG. This biodegradable hydrogel enables sustained KAF release, promoting the reprogramming of DRG macrophages from pro-inflammatory to anti-inflammatory phenotypes. Through comprehensive in vitro and in vivo studies, we evaluated the hydrogel's biocompatibility, effects on macrophage polarization, and therapeutic efficacy in chronic OA pain management. The system demonstrated significant capabilities in preserving macrophage mitochondrial function, suppressing neuroinflammation, alleviating chronic OA pain, reducing cartilage degradation, and improving motor function in OA rat models. The sustained-release properties of KAF@PLEL enabled prolonged therapeutic effects while minimizing systemic exposure and side effects. These findings suggest that KAF@PLEL represents a promising therapeutic approach for improving outcomes in OA patients through targeted, sustained treatment.

Clinically,the incidence of chronic musculoskeletal pain is relatively high,and it is one of the main causes of disability in Chinese residents,causing a heavy health and economic burden to the society.There are limited treatments available for patients who are ineffective to conservative treatment and whose disorders are inoperable.Recently,transcatheter embolization(TCE)has become a potential treatment method for such patients.Chronic musculoskeletal pain,such as knee osteoarthritis,adhesive capsulitis of the shoulder(frozen shoulder),tendinopathy,and neck/back muscle pain,can induce pathological neovascularization and inflammatory reactions.TCE of abnormal neovasculature can improve patient's pain and limb function.So far,there are relatively few studies on the TCE of chronic musculoskeletal pain in China,and there are no large-scale high-quality clinical studies abroad.This paper aims to make a comprehensive review about the TCE for chronic musculoskeletal pain,focusing on its basic principles,operative techniques,and latest clinical achievements.

Objective To explore the molecular mechanism of miR-16-5p promoting apoptosis and inflammatory response by targeting GPR30 expression in an in vitro ischemic stroke microglia model(BV-2).Methods An ischemic stroke cell model was established by subjecting BV-2 cells to oxygen-glucose deprivation(OGD).qRT-PCR was utilized to assess the levels of miR-16-5p and GPR30 mRNA in OGD cells.A miR-16-5p inhibitor was transfected into OGD cells to silence miR-16-5p expression,and alterations in inflammatory response and apoptosis were measured using ELISA kits and Annexin V-FITC/PI staining.Starbase was employed to predict interactions,and dual-luciferase reporter gene assays were conducted to confirm that miR-16-5p targets the 3'-untranslated region(UTR)sequence of GPR30.Changes in cellular inflammatory response and apoptosis were evaluated by knocking down miR-16-5p and/or GPR30 in OGD cells.Results miR-16-5p expression was significantly elevated(P<0.01),while GPR30 expression was notably decreased(P<0.01)in OGD-induced cells.Knockdown of miR-16-5p reduced the expression levels of inflammatory factors and the cell apoptosis ratio(P<0.01).Inhibition of miR-16-5p expression led to an upregulation of GPR30 mRNA and protein levels(P<0.01).Simultaneous silencing of both miR-16-5p and GPR30 partially enhanced inflammatory factor expression levels and the cell apoptosis ratio compared to cells transfected solely with the miR-16-5p inhibitor(P<0.05).Conclusion In the microglia OGD model,miR-16-5p triggers inflammatory responses and enhances apoptosis by inhibiting GPR30 expression.

【Objective】 To explore the clinicopathological characteristics and comprehensive treatment strategies of prostate mucosa adenocarcinoma under multidisciplinary diagnosis and treatment (MDT) mode. 【Methods】 Data of two patients with typical prostate mucosa adenocarcinoma treated in our hospital during Sep.2020 and Apr.2023 were retrospectively analyzed. 【Results】 In case 1, the clinical manifestation was macroscopic hematuria; multiparametric magnetic resonance imaging (mpMRI) indicated solid prostatic nodules, clinical stage T4N1Mx; initial prostate specific antigen (PSA) was 1.2 ng/mL; ⁶⁸68Ga-prostate specific membrane antigen PET/CT (⁶⁸Ga-PSMA PET/CT) suggested abnormal uptake of nuclear lesions in the prostate (SUV4.2-5.3); biopsy results indicated invasive mucinous adenocarcinoma.After prostate and pelvic field radiotherapy + androgen deprivation therapy (ADT) + antihypertensive treatment, lesions were significantly reduced, and hematuria symptoms were relieved.In case 2, the clinical manifestation was dysuria; initial PSA was 91.78 ng/mL; mpMRI suggested invasion of prostate mass into the bladder and clinical stage of T4N1M1b; ⁶⁸Ga-PSMA PET/CT indicated prostate and pelvic lymph nodes, and multiple bone lesions showed increased nuclide uptake; biopsy results indicated prostate adenocarcinoma with mucinous adenocarcinoma.Initial endocrine treatment was performed.After 3 months, PSA was reduced to 0.083 ng/mL, and imaging showed the tumor was significantly reduced.Robotic-assisted laparoscopic tumor prostatectomy with extended pelvic lymph node dissection was performed, and endocrine adjuvant therapy was continued after surgery. 【Conclusion】 Prostate mucosa adenocarcinoma has different clinicopathological characteristics and prognosis from conventional acinar adenocarcinoma, and the whole-process management under MDT mode is of great value in the diagnosis and treatment of this disease.

Objective : Objective Methods : The expression levels of PATL1 in pancar- cinoma，gastric cancer and normal tissues were analyzed by TCGA database．The expression level of PATL1 in 40 human gastric cancer tissues and paired adjacent tissues was evaluated by quantitative real-time PCR (RT-qPCR) . The Kaplan-Meier Plotter database was used to analyze the prognosis of PATL1 in gastric cancer patients．The gas- tric cancer cell line AGS was transfected with PATL1 interference vector，and the interference effect was evaluated by RT-qPCR. The effects of PATL1 on the proliferation and migration of AGS were detected by cell counting kit-8 ( CCK-8) ，Transwell test and scratch healing test．The effects of interference with PATL1 on the expression of cel- lular-myelocytomatosis viral oncogene ( c-Myc) and autophagy related 7 ( ATG7) proteins in gastric cancer cells were detected by Western blot assay. Results : RT-qPCR showed that the expression of PATL1 in human gastric cancer tissue was higher than that in normal gastric tissue (P＜0. 001) ，and PATL1 was correlated with the progno- sis of patients with enteric gastric cancer (P＜0. 000 1) ．After PATL1 was knocked down，the number of prolifera- ting and migrating gastric cancer cells decreased (P＜0. 05) ．Western blot test results showed that the expression level of ATG7 protein decreased after PATL1 was knocked down (P＜0. 05) ． Conclusion PATL1 may inhibit the proliferation and migration of gastric cancer cells through crosstalk with c-Myc and ATG7 .

Objective To explore the mechanism underlying the protective effect of α2-macroglobulin (A2M) against glucocorticoid-induced femoral head necrosis. Methods In a human umbilical vein endothelial cell (HUVEC) model with injuries induced by gradient concentrations of dexamethasone (DEX;10-8-10-5 mol/L), the protective effects of A2M at 0.05 and 0.1 mg/mL were assessed by examining the changes in cell viability, migration, and capacity of angiogenesis using CCK-8 assay, Transwell and scratch healing assays and angiogenesis assay. The expressions of CD31 and VEGF-A proteins in the treated cells were detected using Western blotting. In BALB/c mouse models of avascular necrosis of the femoral head induced by intramuscular injections of methylprednisolone, the effects of intervention with A2M on femoral trabecular structure, histopathological characteristics, and CD31 expression were examined with Micro-CT, HE staining and immunohistochemical staining. Results In cultured HUVECs, DEX treatment significantly reduced cell viability, migration and angiogenic ability in a concentration- and time-dependent manner (P<0.05), and these changes were obviously reversed by treatment with A2M in positive correlation with A2M concentration (P<0.05). DEX significantly reduced the expression of CD31 and VEGF-A proteins in HUVECs, while treatment with A2M restored CD31 and VEGF-A expressions in the cells (P<0.05). The mouse models of femoral head necrosis showed obvious trabecular damages in the femoral head, where a large number of empty lacunae and hypertrophic fat cells could be seen and CD31 expression was significantly decreased (P<0.05). A2M treatment of the mouse models significantly improved trabecular damages, maintained normal bone tissue structures, and increased CD31 expression in the femoral head (P<0.05). Conclusion A2M promotes proliferation, migration, and angiogenesis of DEX-treated HUVECs and alleviates methylprednisolone-induced femoral head necrosis by improving microcirculation damages and maintaining microcirculation stability in the femoral head.

Based on the perspective of medical equipment safety culture,analyze the Global Patient Safety Report 2024 released by the World Health Organization(WHO)on May 30,and extract patient safety elements related to medical devices.Propose to initiate action plan for patient safety related to medical devices and discuss the pathway and measures to further ensure patient safety and strengthen safety management in the clinical use of medical devices,in conjunction with promoting high-quality development of hospitals.

Purpose/Significance To build an evaluation index system of hospital intelligence in line with China's national conditions,so as to provide references for the quantitative evaluation of the degree of hospital intelligence,and to help the orderly development of hospi-tal intelligence construction.Method/Process Based on the review of the existing evaluation standard system of hospital informatization con-struction,Delphi method and analytic hierarchy process are used to discuss the construction process of hospital intelligence evaluation index system from four processes:construction of an evaluation index system,selection of experts in letter consultation,evaluation of indicator im-portance and verification of letter consultation results,and determination of the evaluation index weight.Result/Conclusion The construc-tion of hospital intelligence evaluation index system,which includes 3 first-level indexes,8 second-level indexes and 33 third-level in-dexes,is complementary to the existing evaluation system of smart hospitals,can reflect the construction foundation and development goals of the current intelligent hospitals,and has certain applicability and guidance for the future construction of smart hospitals.
