Objective To investigate the relationship between APCV sign on SWI and END in pa-tients with acute anterior circulation cerebral infarction. Methods A retrospective study was con-ducted on 146 patients with acute anterior circulation cerebral infarction who were consecutively admitted in our hospital from May 2023 to March 2024.According to the results of SWI,they were divided into a negative APCV sign group(93 cases)and a positive APCV sign group(53 cases),and based on the progression of END or not within 3 d after admission, they were also assigned into a non-END group(97 cases)and an END group(49 cases). The general clinical data were compared between the negative and positive APCV sign groups and between the non-END and END groups.Multivariate logistic regression analysis was used to identify the risk factors for END and analyze the relationship between the occurrence of END and APCV sign in cerebral infarction. Results The positive APCV sign group had significantly larger proportions of hypertension and diabetes, higher glycosylated hemoglobin level and NIHSS score at admission, and elevated infarct volume than the negative APCV sign group(P<0.01).Advanced age, higher ratios of hyperten-sion and diabetes, elevated NIHSS score, larger infarct volume and more APCV sign were ob-served in the END group than the non-END group(P<0.05,P<0.01).Multivariate logistic re-gression analysis showed that APCV sign was an independent risk factor for the occurrence of END in acute anterior circulation cerebral infarction after adjusting the variables, including age,hypertension,diabetes,N1HSS score, and infarct volume(OR=6.629,95%CI:1.799-24.428).Conclusion APCV sign is an independent risk factor for the occurrence of END in cerebral infarc-tion,and its appearance on the SWI sequence is an early marker in predicting the prognosis of cer-ebral infarction.

Objective:To investigate the application of three-dimensional digital technique in customized ear framework fabrication for auricular reconstruction. Methods:From July 2018 to October 2019, the patients with microtia who underwent ear reconstruction in the Department of Plastic and Aesthetic Surgery, Nanfang Hospital, Southern Medical University were enrolled. Each patient with unilateral microtia underwent auricular CT scan and preoperative analysis and ear framework design were carried out with Mimics software 18.0. The two-dimension(2D) ear films and three-dimension(3D) silicon models were produced by 1∶1 2D printing and 3D printing, respectively. Microtia reconstruction was performed according to the guide of the models, patients were followed up over a six-month period to evaluate the size, outline, height and auriculocephalic angle of the reconstructed ear. The satisfactory outcomes of the patients were scored according to a 5-point Likert scale. Results:A total of 15 patients were included in this study, including 11 males and 4 females, aged 8-27 years, with an average of 15.5 years old. All the 15 patients completed the surgical planning and ear reconstruction successfully, without major complications, such as hematomas, inflammation, skin necrosis and framework exposure. The costal cartilage frameworks were very similar to the printed 3D models in size and contour. Comparison between the two sides was made at six months postoperatively. The reconstructed ear was much the same as that of contralateral side, and all patients were satisfied with their reconstructed ear outcomes with average score of 4.4.Conclusions:With the application of digital technique for pre-surgical planning in microtia reconstruction patients, ear templates were produced from 2D to 3D, and the correction of microtia was changed from standard auricular reconstruction to personalized auricular reconstruction, with a great improvement of the precision in ear framework fabrication.

Objective:To carry out content analysis of clinical practice guideline recommendations related to physical activity in survivors of colorectal cancer at home and abroad so as to provide a reference for formulating a standardized and personalized physical activity plan for survivors of colorectal cancer. Methods:Clinical practice guidelines related to physical activity in survivors of colorectal cancer were retrieved in Chinese-English databases, guideline websites and professional society websites by computer from 1st, January 2009 to 1st, July 2019. Guideline recommendations were extracted, translated, classified and analyzed on content with the method of content analysis. Results:A total of 7 clinical practice guidelines were included and 26 recommendations on physical activity of survivors of colorectal cancer were extracted. A total of 8-item content on physical activity were analyzed including the safety and benefits of physical activity, assessment before physical activity, amount of physical activity, way of physical activity, intensity, frequency and duration of physical activity, attention of physical activity, contraindications of physical activity and incremental strategy of physical activity. Conclusions:There are many recommendations on the way, amount, frequency, intensity and attention of physical activity. There are inconsistencies between recommendation mentioned frequency and clinical importance, and consistencies between partial recommendations and domestic practice content, and the recom mendations are more diversified than domestic practice content. We should carry out localization for the high level of foreign guideline to explore the evidences suitable for physical activity in survivors of colorectal cancer in China.

The theories of pathophysiology come from experimental research, and experimental teaching is an important part of pathophysiology course.Experimental teaching can cultivate the abilities of independent thinking and comprehensive analysis in students, improve their practical skills, and enhance their understanding and application of theoretical knowledge. However, teaching reform should be carried out due to the drawbacks of current pathophysiological experimental teaching. With the teaching idea centered on learning, the quality of pathophysiological experimental teaching can be enhanced by rational arrangement of experimental courses, optimization of teaching contents, and comprehensive application of various teaching models,so as to effectively improve the level of theoretical knowledge and comprehensive practical ability among students.

Secondary metabolites of endophytic fungi FSN002 from Juglans mandshurica Maxim have excellent liver cancer resistance. Preparation of mutant strains is an important means to study the biosynthesis mechanism of catalitaxol. Fungal spores germinating young hyphae with 4 to 6 cells after culturing for 13 hours were used as starting materials of ultraviolet (UV) mutagenesis. UV light intensity and irradiation time have a linear relationship with fungal mortality. The two factors had no obvious interactions. When UV light was 90 000 μJ/cm2 and irradiation time for 6 s, the mortality of fungi was around 95%. Under the optimization mutation condition, two mutant strains were obtained, of which one lost the synthesis ability of catalitaxol completely, and the another synthetized only 16% catalitaxol of the wild strain. Our findings may serve basis for further study on the biosynthesis mechanism and efficient production of catalitaxol.
