OBJECTIVE:
To explore the research history, hotspots and development trends of acupuncture and moxibustion in the treatment of gastroesophageal reflux disease(GERD)based on knowledge graph technology, and to provide references for clinical and basic research in this field.
METHODS:
The literature of acupuncture and moxibustion for gastroesophageal reflux disease was searched from the CNKI, Wanfang, VIP and SinoMed, from the establishment of the databases to December 31th, 2023. CiteSpace 6.2.R6 Advance was used to draw the knowledge graph of authors, institutions, keywords and other elements, and then perform the visual analysis.
RESULTS:
A total of 341 articles were included, with the number of publications showing an upward trend and the research types continually diversifying. A total of 832 authors and 308 institutions were analyzed, with XIE Sheng from the First Affiliated Hospital of Guangxi University of CM and BAI Xinghua from the Beijing University of CM as representative figures, forming core research teams. However, there was a lack of close collaboration between institutions, and no significant cross-regional research networks had been formed. A total of 192 keywords were included, forming 8 cluster labels, which mainly included 4 categories:treatment methods, disease types, TCM syndrome types, and literature types. The burst analysis showed that the methods of acupuncture and moxibustion in the treatment of gastroesophageal reflux disease had gradually become more integrated, the treatment methods had transitioned from simple acupuncture therapy to combined therapies with proton pump inhibitors or TCM decoctions, the disease types had become more refined, the focus of mechanism research had shifted from lower esophageal sphincter pressure and esophageal motility to changes in gastrointestinal hormone levels, and the research hotspots had gradually shifted from improving clinical symptoms to considering both mental and psychological states. Twenty-three high-frequency acupoints were obtained, forming 8 clusters of "acupuncture techniques-acupoints" for the treatment of gastroesophageal reflux disease with acupuncture and moxibustion, indicating a gradual enrichment of acupuncture and acupoint treatment protocols.
CONCLUSION
The research on acupuncture and moxibustion in the treatment of gastroesophageal reflux disease has gradually deepened, in the future, the cooperation among research teams should be strengthened, the quality of clinical research should be improved, more multi-dimensional mechanism research and horizontal comparative research of different acupuncture and moxibustion methods should be made, to provide a basis for clinical promotion and deeper exploration.

Journal of Clinical Otorhinolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery 2025;39(1):61-65
Objective:To investigate optimal treatment strategy for pT3N0 laryngeal squamous cell carcinoma(SCC). Methods:A retrospective study of 150 patients with pT3N0 laryngeal SCC treated in the First Affiliated Hospital of Chongqing Medical University was performed. The efficacies of partial laryngectomy and total laryngectomy, as well as surgery alone and postoperative radiotherapy were evaluated. The overall survival(OS), disease specific survival(DSS) and disease-free survival(DFS) were analyzed with statistical package from SPSS. Results:Among the 108 patients with glottic laryngeal SCC, there were no significant differences in OS, DSS and DFS between the partial laryngectomy group and the total laryngectomy group(Log-rank=0.184, 0.010 and 0.051, P>0.05). Similarly, there were no significant differences in OS, DSS and DFS between the surgery-alone group and postoperative radiotherapy group(Log-rank=0.214, 0.251 and 0.003, P>0.05). Among the 38 patients with supraglottic laryngeal SCC, the OS in the total laryngectomy group was significantly higher than that in the partial laryngectomy group(Log-rank=7.338, P=0.007). The DSS and DFS in the total laryngectomy group were higher than in the partial laryngectomy group, but the differences were not statistically significant(Log-rank=0.895 and 1.792; P>0.05). The DFS in the postoperative radiotherapy group was significantly higher than in the surgery-alone group(Log-rank=7.172, P=0.007), but there were no significant differences in OS and DSS between these two groups(Log-rank=0.010 and 0.876, P>0.05). Conclusion:For pT3N0 glottic laryngeal cancer patients, the efficacy of partial laryngectomy is comparable to total laryngectomy, same as surgery alone and postoperative radiotherapy. For pT3N0 supraglottic laryngeal cancer patients, total laryngectomy could improve the overall survival, and postoperative radiotherapy could reduce the recurrence. Prospectively randomized study with large samples is still needed.

Objective:To observe any effect of supplementing treatment according to the Early Start Denver model (ESDM) with repeated transcranial magnetic stimulation (rTMS) in the treatment of children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD).Methods:Sixty-seven children on the autism spectrum aged 2 or 3 years were randomly divided into a control group of 33 and an observation group of 34. Both groups were treated as specified by the ESDM for 24 weeks, but the observation group additionally received rTMS. At 12 and 24 weeks, both groups were evaluated using the Autism Behavior Checklist, the Childhood Autism Rating Scale (CARS), the revised version of the Repetitive Behavior Scale (RBS-R), Gesell Development Schedules, and the Autism Treatment Evaluation Checklist (ATEC).Results:The CARS, Gesell, RBS-R and ATEC results of both groups had improved significantly after 12 weeks, with further improvements observed another 12 weeks later, when the average Autism Behavior Checklist scores had also improved significantly. At that point the results of the observation group were significantly better than those of the control group, on average. Conclusions:Combining ESDM and rTMS can significantly relieve the main symptoms of autism and improve the comprehensive development of children on the autism spectrum 2 or 3 years old. Therefore, such combination is worthy of application in clinical practice.

Objective:To obtain a prevalent respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) clinical isolate in Beijing and analyze the genotype and biological characteristics of the strain. Methods:A nasopharyngeal secretion specimen was collected from a child with RSV infection in Beijing in 2023 and used for viral isolation. Viral nucleic acid was amplified using qRT-PCR. The isolated virus was identified by transmission electron microscopy, indirect immunofluorescence assay, and plaque formation assay. A phylogenetic analysis was conducted based on the whole-genome sequencing results. Virus titers were determined, and replication characteristics were analyzed. The efficacy of the isolated strain for in vitro screening of antiviral drugs was validated. Results:A clinical RSV isolate, named hRSV/C-Tan/BJ 202301, was successfully isolated, which could form syncytia in Hep-2 cells. Spherical, filamentous, and irregular virus particles were observed by electron microscopy. Immunofluorescence detection showed green fluorescence in Hep-2 cells, and plaque assay showed round plaques, which were similar to the Long strain in morphology. Genomic sequence analysis showed that it belonged to ON1 genotype. It exhibited similar cell growth kinetics characteristics with the Long strain and could be used for antiviral drug screening in vitro. Conclusions:In this study, one RSV strain is successfully isolated and identified. The biological characteristics and the phylogenetic relationship of this strain reflect the characteristics of the circulating strains in Beijing, which provides experimental material for RSV vaccine development and antiviral drug screening in China.

Chinese Journal of Applied Clinical Pediatrics 2025;40(9):668-674
Objective:To explore the reliability and validity of the Chinese version of Hammersmith Neonatal Neurological Examination (C-HNNE).Methods:A prospective cohort study. One hundred and fourteen neonates born in Longgang District Maternity & Child Healthcare Hospital of Shenzhen City between October 2022 and August 2023, who were hospitalized in the Neonatology or Obstetrics Department after birth and met the inclusion criteria, were enrolled as study subjects. They were divided into an early preterm group(34 cases), a mid-late preterm group(50 cases), and a full-term group(30 cases) based on gestational age.The first C-HNNE assessment was completed within 24 hours after birth, and 20 cases from each group were selected for inter-rater reliability assessment; 48 hours after the first C-HNNE assessment, 20 cases from each group were selected to undergo the C-HNNE assessment again for test-retest reliability assessment. At corrected 4 months of age, short-term neurodevelopmental outcomes were determined by pediatric rehabilitation physicians using clinical examination combined with general movements (GMs) assessment.Inter-rater reliability and test-retest reliability were assessed by calculating intra-class correlation coefficient (ICC). The optimal cutoff scores of the C-HNNE for each group were determined by plotting receiver operating characteristic(ROC) curves.Predictive validity was determined by calculating sensitivity, specificity, positive predictive value (PPV), and negative predictive value (NPV).Results:The highest sensitivity for predicting neonatal corrected neuromotor developmental outcome at 4 months of age was achieved when the optimal C-HNNE scores were taken as 22.25, 25.25, and 29.25 in the early preterm, mid-late preterm, and term groups, respectively. The ICCs for the inter-rater reliability of the total C-HNNE score and subscale scores in all 3 groups were above 0.7, indicating good reliability. The ICCs for test-retest reliability of some individual items were<0.6, indicating moderate reliability. In terms of validity, the correlation coefficients between the total C-HNNE scores and the GMs scores of the three groups were 0.550, 0.483, 0.473 (all P<0.01), and the sensitivity of the C-HNNE for predicting neurodevelopmental developmental outcomes in neonates corrected to 4 months of age was 82.9%, specificity was 70.4%, PPV was 58.0%, and NPV was 89.3%. Conclusions:C-HNNE demonstrates good reliability and validity and can be used as a routine bedside examination program for early neonatal life.
