Irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) is a functional bowel disorder characterized primarily by abdominal pain and altered defecation habits. In recent years, traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) has made progress in multiple aspects of IBS research and treatment, including syndrome distribution, development of TCM formulas, clinical efficacy evaluation, external therapies, and psychosocial regulation. However, it still faces challenges such as over-reliance on symptomatic manifestations rather than biomarkers for diagnostic criteria, and the lack of high-quality evidence-based data supporting the efficacy of TCM formulas in treating IBS. This paper proposed that TCM diagnosis and treatment of IBS should adhere to the strategy of integrating the holistic concept with syndrome differentiation and treatment, combining TCM external therapies such as acupuncture, moxibustion and acupoint application), and emphasizing individualized diagnosis and treatment for psychosomatic abnormalities. Future research should integrate multi-omics technologies, artificial intelligence and other methods to deepen the understanding of the pathogenesis of IBS and the mechanisms of TCM formulas, so as to promote the standardization and internationalization of TCM in the diagnosis and treatment of IBS.

A deep learning-based method for recognizing the minutiae in fingerprint,as well as a Python programming-based evaluation system for quantifying the evidence value of fingerprint was proposed.Firstly, latent fingerprints, which were developed using a series of fluorescent nanomaterials synthesized by chemical methods, were used as unknown fingerprint(UKFP),while ink impressed fingerprints were used as known fingerprint(KFP).Then, the bifurcations and terminations in minutiae were recognized using the improved YOLOv8 deep learning model. After that, the similarity index(Sim.)of UKFP vs KFP were calculated by analyzing the angle similarity factor(α)and the curve similarity factor(β)between UKFP and KFP,meanwhile, the sensitivity index(Sen.)were calculated by analyzing the fineness factor(γ)between UKFP and KFP.The evidence value(EV)of fingerprint was thus obtained by the combination of Sim.and Sen..The calculation formulas for above evaluation factors(i.e.α,β and γ),evaluation indexes(i.e.Sim.and Sen.),and EV were also put forward. Finally, the evaluation system for quantifying the evidence value of fingerprint was established, the feasibility and reliability of this system were verified, and the external factors that impacted on Sim.,Sen.,and EV were investigated in detail. The Python-based evaluation system for quantifying the evidence value of fingerprint could achieve the goals objectively, comprehensively, accurately and efficiently, exhibiting easy operability, high efficiency, responsiveness and reliability. This research was expected to provide beneficial references for quantitatively evaluating and thoroughly developing the evidence value.

This study aims to isolate and culture primary rabbit spinal cord microvascular endothelial cells in vitro, providing a practical source of test cells for spinal cord injury research.Spinal cord tissue was aseptically extracted from one-month-old rabbits and processed sequentially through mincing, bovine serum albumin density gradient centrifugation, mesh filtration, and type Ⅱ collagenase digestion to ob-tain purified spinal cord microvascular segments. The microvascular segments were homogeneously mixed with an apprapriate volume of M199 complete culture medium and seeded into a culture dish for primary culture.Throughout the culture period, cell growth performance were continuously observed and recor-ded.Additionally,immunocytochemical staining was performed to evaluate the expression of factor Ⅷ-re-lated antigen. The results showed that after 24 hours of inoculation,a small amount of endothelial-like cells were observed to emerge from the spinal cord microvascular segments.Within 36~60 hours, the cell colonies gradually expanded and fused. After 72 hours, the cells spread across the base of the dish, forming a"cobblestone-like"monolayer.Immunocytochemical staining showed that more than 99%of the cells showed brown-red cytoplasm and were positive for factor Ⅷ-related antigen. It is these results that suggest this study has successfully established a convenient and stable primary rabbit spinal cord micro-vascular endothelial cells culture method.

Objective To explore the effects of dodecanoylcarnitine(DA)and myristoleic acid(MA)on the function of mouse alveolar epithelial cell line MLE-12 and their underlying mechanisms. Methods An inflammatory model was established by stimulating MLE-12 cells with IL-4.The expression levels of DA,MA,and sphingosine-1-phosphate(S1P)in the cell supernatant were detected by ELISA.MLE-12 cells were separately intervened with DA and MA.RT-PCR and flow cytometry were used to detect the expression changes of inflammatory factors IL-6 and tumor necrosis factor-α(TNF-α)and the level of intracellular reactive oxygen species(ROS).Additionally,Western blot was performed to detect the expression of key proteins such as p38 mitogen-activated protein kinase(p-38 MAPK)and src homology 2 domain-containing phosphatase 1(SHP-1).To explore the role of S1PR2 in the effects of DA and MA,MLE-12 cells were pretreated with the S1PR2 inhibitor JTE-013,and the above experiments were repeated. Results IL-4 stimulation significantly upregulated the levels of DA,MA,and S1P in MLE-12 cells(P<0.05).DA/MA treatment groups exhibited significantly increased expression of IL-6 and TNF-α compared with the control group(P<0.05),along with elevated ROS levels(P<0.05).Western blot analysis revealed that DA/MA promoted SHP-1 dephosphorylation and phosphorylated p38 MAPK activation in MLE-12 cells.Notably,JTE-013 pre-treatment completely reversed these effects(P<0.05).Conclusion Asthma-related metabolites DA and MA exacerbate the inflammatory and oxidative stress responses of MLE-12 cells by activating the S1PR2 receptor, promoting the dephosphorylation of SHP-1 and the activation of the p-p38 MAPK pathway. This study reveals the core regulatory role of S1PR2 in this pathway as well.

The scaphoid bone is one of the important bone of hand, which is frequently injured and difficult to treat in clinical practice. Therefore,it is very important to deeply study the microstructure and biomechanical characteristics of the scaphoid bone for understanding its injury mechanism and optimizing treatment scheme.Microcomputed tomography(micro-CT)provides high-resolution imaging of bone tissue, while finite element analysis can help to simulate the stress distribution and behavioral patterns of the scaphoid bone under various physiological and pathological states. The high-resolution three-dimensional image of the scaphoid bone obtained by micro-CT technology can be used to construct finite element models of real anatomical structure of the scaphoid bone, thus achieving accurate simulation of the mechanical properties of the scaphoid bone. The fusion of these two advanced technologies provides a new perspective for revealing the structural and functional relationships and injury mechanism of the scaphoid bone. Therefore, this paper reviews the anatomical characteristics of the scaphoid bone and its biomechanical behavior in different states, emphasizing the specific applications and advantages of micro-CT and finite element analysis techniques in the study of the scaphoid bone.By summarizing the research findings in recent years, this paper provides novel scientific basis and methods for the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of scaphoid bone-related disorders.

Objective:To evaluate the efficacy and feasibility of a domestically developed robotic surgical system based on fiber-optic dedicated line communication in cross-regional urological telesurgery. Methods:This was multicenter,single-arm,retrospective case series study. The data of patients who underwent urological telesurgeries using the telesurgical system between January 2023 and December 2024 were analyzed. The cohort included 59 patients from seven hospitals across China. Among the patients,47 were male(79.7%)and 12 were female(20.3%),with a median age of 63.0(56.0,68.0)years and a body mass index of(24.7 ± 3.0)kg/m 2. Surgical procedures included 32 radical prostatectomies,24 partial nephrectomies, one radical nephrectomy, one adrenalectomy, and one ureteral reconstruction. The perioperative indicators, pathological results and postoperative complications were analyzed. The network monitoring data were collected, and the perioperative data of patients, remote system monitoring data and costs were compared between the two communication modes of optical transport network(OTN)and cloud-connect network(CCN). Results:All 59 remote surgeries were successfully completed, with a mean operative time of(138.0 ± 54.0)minutes,median intraoperative blood loss of 50.0(30.0,100.0)ml and a postoperative hospital stay of 5.0(4.0,6.0)days. No cases required reoperation,Clavien-Dindo grade ≥3 complications,or readmission. The geographical distance between the primary and remote surgical sites ranged from 450 to 2 800 km. Network monitoring revealed increased bidirectional latency with distance increasing:the shortest latency time(Hefei-Hangzhou,450 km)was(16.59 ± 0.80)ms,while the longest(Harbin-Hangzhou,2 200 km)latency time was(53.31 ± 0.31)ms. Average frame loss per procedure was 0?1.27 frames. The results of subgroup analysis comparing OTN and CCN communication modes showed no significant differences in operative time[(130.7 ± 70.5)minutes vs.(142.1 ± 42.9)minutes, P = 0.442],postoperative hospitalization[6.0(4.0,8.0)d vs. 5.0(4.0,6.0)d, P = 0.581],or readmission rates(0 vs. 0). However,CCN demonstrated significant cost advantages with 500 RMB per operation vs. 3 000 RMB per operation for OTN. Conclusions:Urological telesurgery using fiber-optic communication is feasible. The CCN mode, with its cost-effectiveness,excellent usability, and multi-point interconnection flexibility,is currently the preferred communication model for telesurgical applications.
