Objective To investigate the biomechanical characteristics of clear aligners combined with Class Ⅱelastics during retraction of upper anterior teeth,and compare the differences between two traction methods.Methods A case with a molar distal relationship and extraction of four first premolars was selected.The finite element method was applied to analyze tooth displacement,force distribution,and periodontal ligament(PDL)stress during 0.2 mm en-masse retraction of the anterior teeth.Three working conditions were defined:en-masse retraction without elastics(Condition 1),120 g Class Ⅱ elastics with aligner-cut hooks on upper canines and lower first molars(Condition 2),120 g Class Ⅱ elastics with aligner windows and bonded buttons on upper canines and lower first molars(Condition 3).Results Class Ⅱ elastics significantly enhanced lingual movement of the upper anterior teeth and mesial movement of the lower posterior teeth,while reducing mesial movement of the upper posterior teeth and lingual movement of the lower anterior teeth.In the transverse direction,the forces exerted on the teeth in all three conditions were minimal.In the sagittal direction,in Condition 2,the mesial force of the upper posterior teeth was effectively reduced by an average of 0.13 N,and the mesial force of the lower posterior teeth was increased by an average of 0.31 N.In Condition 3,the distal force of the upper canine teeth and the mesial force of the lower first molar were significantly increased by 0.40 N and 1.14 N,respectively.In the vertical direction,In condition 2,the average extrusive force of the upper teeth and the extrusive force of the lower molars were increased by 0.22 N and 0.20 N,respectively.In Condition 3,the upper canine extrusive force was increased by 0.91 N,while the lower molar intrusive force and the second molar extrusive force were reduced by 0.27 N and 0.25 N,respectively.The PDL stress distribution in the three conditions was generally similar.In Condition 3,the maximum principal stress distribution area on the lower first molars expanded slightly,but the magnitude did not increase significantly.Conclusions Condition 2 optimized the lower posterior teeth mesialization through balanced force distribution and protected the upper posterior teeth anchorage.Condition 3 significantly increased extrusive and distal forces on the upper canines and mesial forces on the lower first molars but did not substantially elevate periodontal risks for these teeth.

Background and purpose:Transmembrane and coiled-coil domains 1(TMCO1)is a recently discovered endoplasmic reticulum calcium channel protein that has been found to be associated with the progression of various tumors,however,its role in cervical cancer has not yet been clarified.This study aimed to investigate the effects of TMCO1 on the proliferation and migration of cervical cancer HeLa cells.Methods:By transfecting cervical cancer HeLa cells with plasmids,cells with stable overexpression of TMCO1 and cells with stable knockdown of TMCO1 were obtained.Cell counting kit-8(CCK-8)assay,clone formation assay and EdU labeling assay were used to detect cell proliferation ability,transwell assay was used to detect cell migration ability,and proteomic analysis was performed on the cells that stably overexpressed TMCO1 and control cells.Results:TThe CCK-8 experiment and clone formation experiment showed that overexpression of TMCO1 in cervical cancer HeLa cells significantly increased their proliferation ability(P＜0.05).EdU labeling experiments showed that overexpression of TMCO1 in cervical cancer HeLa cells significantly increased the number of cells undergoing active DNA synthesis(P＜0.01).After knocking down TMCO1 in cervical cancer HeLa cells,the expression of cell cycle inhibitory protein p27 increased,and the phosphorylation of histone H3 decreased.Clonogenesis experiments showed that knocking down TMCO1 significantly inhibited the proliferation of cervical cancer HeLa cells(P＜0.001).EdU labeling experiments showed that after knocking down TMCO1 in cervical cancer HeLa cells,the number of cells undergoing active DNA synthesis was significantly reduced(P<0.05).Transwell experiment showed that overexpression of TMCO1 in cervical cancer HeLa cells significantly increased their migration ability(P＜0.001),while knocking down TMCO1 significantly inhibited the migration of cervical cancer HeLa cells(P＜0.001).The pathways related to extracellular matrix adhesion and PI3K-AKT signaling were significantly upregulated in the cells with stable overexpression of TMCO1,while ribosome related pathways were downregulated in proteomic analysis.Conclusion:Overexpression of TMCO1 significantly promotes the proliferation and migration of cervical cancer cells,while knockdown of TMCO1 significantly inhibits the proliferation and migration of cervical cancer HeLa cells.TMCO1 may affect the proliferation and migration of HeLa cells by regulating cell adhesion and signal transduction.

Objective To investigate the situation of sexual partners and related factors among men who have sex with men (MSM) in college students.Methods Snowball sampling and Convenience sampling were both used to recruit MSM from colleges in Tsingtao in 2016.Questionnaire-based interviews were conducted to collect data of socio-demographic and situation of sexual partners.Sample Size was estimated based on cross-sectional study,and theoretical 267.SPSS 17.0 software was used for statistical analysis.Results A total of 300 MSM,average aged 20.7,were analyzed.Both first sex partner and the last same-sex sexual partner were mct instantly,with proportions as 58.7％ (176/300) and 62.3％ (187/300) respectively.Among all the MSM,88.3％ (265/300) preferred selecting men as sex partners and 42.7％ (128/300) enjoyed finding sex partners in college,while 86.0％ (258/300) preferred finding their sex partners through intemet.Conclusions Intemet had been the major way of looking for sex partner among MSM in college students,the male sexual partner were met instantly.We should focus on men who have sex with men and their sexual health among college students to prevent and control HIV/AIDS.

Lao-Xiang-Huang (LXH) of Chaozhou is the processed product of Fructus Citri sarcodactylis.LXH from different producing areas were used as research objects in the study for the establishment of HPLC fingerprints of LXH.Contents of hesperidin and 5,7-dimethoxycoumarin were also determined to provide scientific basis for the establishment of quality standard of LXH.Samples were separated by an Agilent Eclipse XDB C18 column (4.6 mm × 250 mm,5 μm) using acetonitrile-0.1％ phosphoric acid with water gradient system as a mobile phase.The flow rate was 1.0 mL· min-1.The injection volume was 20 μL.The detection wavelength was at 283 nm.The results showed that HPLC fingerprint of LXH was established with good separation and repeatability.The similarity evaluation on 27 batches samples of LXH showed that there was a certain similarity on the HPLC fingerprints of LXH.However,there was a certain difference as a whole.Contents of hesperidin and 5,7-dimethoxycoumarin in LXH were simultaneously determined.It was concluded that the established HPLC fingerprint of LXH and content determination of hesperidin and 5,7-dimethoxycoumarin method were accurate,sensitive and repeatable.It provided scientific evidence for the quality control standard of LXH of Chaozhou.

Objective To explore the effects of Omaha system on transitional care in discharged patients with colon carcinoma.Methods Patients with colon carcinoma who accepted surgical treatment in Tangshan Gongren Hospital of Hebei Province were selected as subjects. A total of 62 patients were chosen as control group with routine transitional nursing education from January 2012 to December 2013. Besides, a total of 63 patients were chosen as observation group with Omaha system nursing education based on intervention in control group from January 2014 to December 2015. The improvement of nursing outcomes and general self-efficacy in Omaha problem system was compared between two groups.Results The scores of problem recognition from four domains including physiology, social psychology, health-related behaviors and environments of patients in observation group were (1.21±0.20), (2.14±0.30), (1.23±0.72), (2.15±0.34) better than those in control group with significant differences (t=4.635, 2.695, 3.896, 14.632;P<0.01) 6 months after intervention. The score of the cancer self efficacy scale was (35.12±5.22) in observation group and (21.27±8.27) in control group with a significant difference (t=8.652,P<0.01).Conclusions Transitional care for discharged patients with colon carcinoma based on Omaha system can nicely help nurses understand the nursing needs of discharged patients and provide corresponding education and guidance according to problems so as to help patients, family members and community solve the problems that they encounter during rehabilitation course, and to improve the quality of life of them.

Objective:To study the effect and underlying mechanism of sulfur-fumigation and water-soaking on total ash of Di-oscoreae Rhizoma, find the key factor( s) affecting the total ash of Dioscoreae Rhizoma, and explore the rationality of ash limits of Di-oscoreae Rhizoma described in Chinese Pharmacopoeia. Methods:Dioscoreae Rhizoma was respectively dealt with sulfur-fumigation and water-soaking. The changes in total ash content of Dioscoreae Rhizoma was detected by the ash determination methods for total ash and SO2 described in the pharmacopoeia, and then the ash content change of inorganic salts was used to study the mechanism. Results:Sulfur-fumigation could slightly reduce the total ash content of Dioscoreae Rhizoma, while significantly reduce the ash content of calcium oxalate and calcium sulfate with the reduction degree of 7. 20% and 9. 90%, respectively. Calcium phosphate and calcium chloride were slightly affected by sulfur-fumigation, and the results indicated that the effect of sulfur-fumigation on ash content was mainly real-ized by increasing the decomposition rate of calcium oxalate and calcium sulfate. Water-soaking could decline the ash content of Di-oscoreae Rhizoma, and the phenomenon was common in the rhizome medicinal materials. The influence of water-soaking on total ash was more significant than that of sulfur fumigation. Conclusion:Sulfur-fumigation can reduce the total ash content of Dioscoreae Rhizo-ma by increasing the decomposition rate of calcium oxalate and calcium sulfate, however, the effect is mild and the process isn't the key influencing factor in the total ash content of Dioscoreae Rhizoma. During the preparation of Dioscoreae Rhizoma medicinal slices, water-soaking can cause the great loss of water-soluble mineral salts, such as Cl-, C2 O4 2-, NO3 - and SO4 2-, which leads to the reduction of total ash content, therefore, water-soaking is the key influencing factor in the total ash content of Dioscoreae Rhizoma.

OBJECTIVETo explore the prevalence of syphilis and HSV-2 among female sex workers (FSWs) who use new types of drugs in Jiaozhou city.

METHODSThrough convenient sampling, an anonymous questionnaire survey was conducted among female sex workers to collect demographic characteristics, new-type drugs abusing characteristics and related sexual behaviors from October to December, 2013. Blood specimens were drawn for serological tests of syphilis antibody and HSV-2 antibody. Urine specimens of the subjects surveyed were collected to test for methamphetamine. Differences in demographic characteristics, new-type drug abusing characteristics, and sexual behaviours between drug-abusing FSWs and non-drug-abusing FSWs were compared by t-test and χ(2)-test.

RESULTSA total of 460 FSWs were recruited in this study, and 105 FSWs admitted their drug abuse history. Among the 341 urine specimens confirmed to be methamphetamine positive, there were 3 FSWs claimed that they never abuse new-type drugs. The rate of new-type drug abuse was 23.5% (108/460). A total of 71.4% (75/105) of the new drug-abusing FSWs started using drugs under 25 years old. The main reasons for drug abuse were clients request (24, 22.9%), making more money (23, 21.9%) and companion temptations (22, 21.0%). Totally, 41.9% of them (44/105) took drugs with 4-5 persons, 32.4% (34/105) had sex with 2-3 men after taking drugs, and 60.2% of new-type drug-abusing FSWs (65/108) used condoms in the latest commercial intercourse, while only 7.4% FSWs (8/108) used condoms every time during their commercial sex activities in the recent month. Compared with FSWs having no drug abuse behavior, drug-abusing FSWs had higher single proportion (73.2% (79/108) vs 63.6% (224/352), χ(2) = 8.64, P < 0.05), lower condom use rate in the recent month (7.4% (8/108) vs 22.7% (80/352), χ(2) = 12.53, P < 0.01) and higher pregnancy rate in the recent 6 months (24.1% (26/108) vs 8.8% (31/352), χ(2) = 17.74, P < 0.01) and most of them come from the middle and high-level entertainmens (78.7% (85/108) vs 65.1% (229/352), χ(2) = 13.09, P < 0.01). Among the new-type drug-abusing FSWs, the prevalence rates of syphilis and HSV-2 were 12.0% (13/108) and 55.6% (60/108) , respectively. A total of 33 FSWs claimed that they were diagnosed with STDs in the recent year (30.6%) . The rates of syphilis(12.0% (13/108) vs 4.0% (14/352), χ(2) = 9.72, P < 0.01), HSV-2(55.6% (60/108) vs 39.2% (138/352), χ(2) = 9.01, P < 0.01) and diagnosed STDs (30.6% (33/108) vs 17.9% (63/352), χ(2) = 8.02, P < 0.01) among the drug-abusing FSWs were significantly higher than those of non-drug-abusing FSWs.

CONCLUSIONThere is a higher proportion of new-type drug abuse among the FSWs in Jiaozhou, with significantly higher prevalence rates of syphilis and HSV-2 infection, compared with non-new types of drug abusing FSWs. Prevalent risk sexual behaviors and ignorance of new-types drugs' harm were seen among them.

METHODSThrough convenient sampling, an anonymous questionnaire survey was conducted on female sex workers to collect related information. Blood specimens were drawn for serological tests on HIV, syphilis and HSV-2 antibodies, respectively. Patients with positive results from both treponema pallidum and HSV-2 tested by ELISA method, were defined as being superinfected.

RESULTSA total of 460 FSWs were recruited in this study. The prevalence rates of HIV, syphilis, HSV-2, and syphilis/HSV-2 superinfection were 0.22% , 5.9% , 43.0% , and 11.7% , respectively. Among the methamphetamine users, the prevalence rates of syphilis, HSV-2, and syphilis/HSV-2 superinfection were 12.4%, 55.2%, and 22.9%, respectively. Results from multivariate analysis showed that factors that significantly associated with syphilis infection would include: methamphetamine use (OR = 3.61, 95% CI:1.62-8.06), having first commercial sex intercourse at under 20 years of age (OR = 2.80, 95% CI:1.15-6.85), more than 2 establishments that the FSWs worked in the last month (OR = 4.37, 95%CI:0.83-22.83). Factors associated with HSV-2 infection were methamphetamine use (OR = 2.30, 95%CI:1.43-3.70), having first commercial sex intercourse at under 20 years of age (OR = 1.77, 95% CI:1.16-2.69), working at low-end establishments (OR = 2.61, 95%CI:1.66-4.10), working at the local sex-work venues for more than one year (OR = 2.01, 95% CI:1.28-3.14), with low education backgrounds (OR = 2.27, 95% CI:1.18-4.36), using methamphetamine (OR = 3.95, 95% CI:2.09-7.44), low education background (OR = 2.43, 95% CI: 1.10-5.36), 21-30 year-olds (OR = 2.95, 95%CI:1.08-8.03), older than 31 years of age (OR = 7.05, 95% CI:2.48-20.01) etc., were independent risk factors associated with the superinfection of syphilis and HSV-2.

CONCLUSIONThe prevalence rates of syphilis, HSV-2 and syphilis/HSV-2 superinfection were relatively high among FSWs in Jiaozhou, especially among the FSWs who were methamphetamine users.
