Objective To evaluate the diagnostic value of dual-layer spectral CT(DLCT)virtual non-contrast(VNC)imaging combined with iodine maps in differentiating early post-endovascular therapy(EVT)intracranial hemorrhage from contrast extravasation.Methods Retrospective analysis of 97 patients who underwent DLCT immediately after EVT was conducted.Taking 24-hour follow-up CT/MRI as the gold standard,patients were divided into hemorrhage and non-hemorrhage groups,and their clinical data were compared.VNC CT values and iodine concentration(IC)were measured.Spearman's rank correlation was used to analyze the relationship between VNC CT and IC values,and ROC curve analysis using R software to evaluate the diagnostic performance of VNC,iodine maps,and their combination.Results Among 97 patients,51(52.6%)showed no intracranial hyperdense lesions,while 46(47.4%)with abnormal densities were analyzed.Using 24-hour postoperative CT/MRI as reference stan-dard,among the 46 patients ultimately included in the analysis,38 cases(82.6%)were non-hemorrhagic and 8 cases(17.4%)hemorrhagic.No significant differences existed in age,sex,or treatment methods(all P>0.05).VNC CT values and IC showed significantly negative correlation(r=-0.537,P<0.01).ROC analysis revealed AUCs of 0.917(95%CI:0.786～0.999)for VNC,0.878(95%CI:0.719～0.999)for IC,and 0.919(95%CI:0.812～0.999)for the combination of the two(P<0.05 for combined vs.individual methods).Optimal thresholds were 53.6 HU for VNC and 0.605 mg/ml for IC.Based on the final analysis of 46 enrolled patients,the sensitivity of VNC,iodine map,and their combination in differentiating early cerebral hemorrhage from contrast extravasation was 88.9%,94.3%,and 91.4%,respectively;the specificity 94.3%,77.8%,and 88.9%,respectively;and the accuracy 90.9%,90.9%,and 93.2%,respectively.Conclusion The DLCT VNC-iodine map combination significantly im-proves differentiation between post-EVT hemorrhage and contrast extravasation,and it is recommended for routine clinical application.

Referring to domestic and foreign literatures, and combining the clinical situation of Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, the experts recruited by the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Imaging Technology Alliance reach a consensus on the technique and protection specifications for bone and joint examination to guide and standardize the work related to X-ray examination of bone and joint in the medical imaging department of medical institutions at all levels in the Greater Bay Area.

Objective:To understand the occurrence of major adverse cardiac events (MACE) during the perioperative period of cervical spine surgery and analyze its risk factors.Methods:A retrospective analysis of 426 cervical spine surgery patients admitted to the from March 2017 to March 2021. The basic information of the patients, including gender, age, body mass index (BMI), underlying diseases, and the Charlson comorbidity index (CCI) was calculated based on the underlying diseases.The preoperative serum cardiac troponin I(cTnI) level and the operation-related indicators were collected,including the type of cervical spine surgery, surgical procedure, approach, duration of surgery, duration of anesthesia, intraoperative bleeding, postoperative pain visual analogue scale (VAS), and electrolyte disturbances. Count data were expressed as cases (%), and comparisons between groups were made using the χ 2 test; logistic regression models were applied to perform a multifactorial analysis of the factors influencing the perioperative occurrence of MACE in patients undergoing cervical spine surgery. Results:Among the 426 patients, 54 (12.68%) experienced MACE during the perioperative period, including 4 cases of unstable angina (7.41%), 4 cases of acute myocardial infarction (7.41%), 33 cases of severe arrhythmia (61.11%), and 13 cases of acute heart failure (24.07%). The results of multivariate logistic regression analysis showed that the older the age group (50-59 years old: odds ratio=1.34, 95% confidence interval: 1.14-1.78; 60-69 years old: odds ratio=1.48, 95% confidence interval: 1.20-1.86; 70-79 years old: odds ratio=1.71, 95% confidence interval: 1.34-2.57; 80-89 years old: odds ratio=1.95, 95% confidence interval: 1.46-2.85), as well as females, CCI scores>3, and preoperative cTnI>0.04 μg/L, postoperative VAS score>5, and electrolyte disorders are all influencing factors for the occurrence of MACE in cervical spine surgery patients during the perioperative period (odds ratios of 1.84, 2.12, 2.34, 2.57, 2.20, 95% confidence intervals of 1.34-2.68, 1.50-3.41, 1.63-3.72, 1.53-4.01, 1.43-3.69, all P<0.05). Conclusions:The incidence of MACE in the perioperative period of cervical spine surgery is relatively high. Elderly age, female, high CCI score, high preoperative serum cTnI, postoperative pain and electrolyte disturbance are independent risk factors for the perioperative period of cervical spine surgery.

Objective:To investigate the feasibility of reducing radiation dose in coronary CT angiography for patients with arrhythmia with absolute phase and narrow window in prospective electrocardiogram-gating.Methods:200 patients with arrhythmia underwent coronary CT angiography procedure with prospective electrocardiogram-gating adaptive sequence in dual source CT were randomly divided into 2 groups according to the scan mode. Group A was scanned with absolute phase and narrow window(250-450 ms) and group B uesd relative phase and wide window (30%-75%). The other parameters and injection protocol of contrast media were the same in 2 groups. Both image quality and radiation dose of the 2 groups were analyzed.Results:No significant difference of image quality was found between the 2 groups. CTDI vol, DLP, E of group A were all lower than those in group B [CTDI vol : (16.71±8.35) vs.(29.35±17.90)mGy , DLP: (231.04±114.86) vs.(398.27±238.40)mGy·cm , E: (3.23±1.60) vs.(5.57±3.33)mSv, t=-6.40, -6.32、-6.32, P<0.05] . The patients with repeat scan cycles in group A and group B were 81 vs. 22 for 0 cycle , 17 vs. 62 for 1 cycle, 2 vs. 10 for 2 cycles, 0 vs. 6 for 3 cycles( χ2=70.76, P<0.05). Conclusions:The prospective electrocardiogram-gating adaptive CCTA sequence with absolute phase and narrow window can reduce radiation dose while the image quality meets the requirementsfor patients with arrhythmia.

Objective To study the influence of optimization of parenteral nutrition strategy on the head circumference and brain volume in very low birth weight infants.Method Very low birth weight infants admitted to NICU of University of Hong Kong-Shen Zhen Hospital from January 2014 to June 2016 were assigned to optimized group and conventional group according to early nutritional strategies.Early parenteral nutrition intakes were increased in infants assigned to optimizated group.Nutrition intakes and parenteral nutrition related complications within 28 days after birth were compared between groups.All participants underwent brain MRI at corrected gestational age (CGA) 36 weeks.Head circumference and brain volume measured by MRI were also compared between groups.Result A total of 40 preterm infants were recruited,with 20 infants in each group.There were no significant differences in the gestational age,birth weight,brain injury and intrauterine growth retardation rate between the two groups (P ＞ 0.05).The average daily total calories and protein intake of optimization group during the first 4 weeks were significantly higher than those of conventional group,respectively [(101.5 ± 3.1) kcal/ (kg · d) vs.(96.1 ± 3.2)kcal/(kg·d),(3.07±0.16) g/(kg·d) vs.(2.90±0.11) g/(kg· d),P＜ 0.05].Theaverage daily calorie intake and protein intake of optimization group was increased by 4.7％ and 5.5％,compared with those of conventional group.Compared with the conventional group,head circumference and total brain volume of optimized group at CGA 36 weeks was improved by 3.3％ and 4.1％,and the differences were both statistically significant (P ＜ 0.05).Cerebral cortex gray matter volume of optimized group was significantly higher than that of conventional group [(102.4 ± 4.9) ml vs.(96.4 ± 4.6) ml,P ＜ 0.05].There was no significant difference in brain white matter,deep gray matter and cerebrospinal fluid volume between the two groups (P ＞ 0.05).Conclusion The optimization of parenteral nutrition within the framework of active nutrition strategy of preterm infants can further improve the early nutritional intake of preterm infants,leading to the increase of the head circumference and the gray matter volume of the cerebral cortex.

A new type of piezoelectric oscillation-based non-contact spotting mode has been developed to overcome the disadvantages of traditional non-contact spotting modes including complicated operation procedure, cleaning difficulty of spotting needle, large sample consumption of electromagnetic microvalve and high spotting cost of piezoelectric inkjet based non-contact spotting mode. In the device, the capillary spotting needle and the piezoelectric driving device are two independent units used for replacing and cleaning capillary spotting needle. The glass capillary spotting needle is prepared by the laser melting method with adjustable diameter and low cost. The sample spotting volume of the device can be easily adjusted in the range of 10Symbolm_10-10Symbolm_9 by changing the amplitude and frequency of piezoelectric ceramic. A microarray spotting system is developed by the combination of the piezoelectric oscillation-based non-contact spotting mode and three dimensional precision displacement control technology. The multiple parameters of as-prepared microarray spotting system have been tested including spotting volume, density of spot and spotting precision. The experimental results indicate that the minimum volume of single spot with 320 pL and the highest density of spot with 4000 spots/cm2 can be achieved by the as-prepared microarray spotting system. Furthermore, the as-prepared microarray spotting system can also be employed to fabricate patterned interface.

Objective To evaluate the efficacy of the autologous epidermal grafting combining with NB-UVB radiation on the treatment of stable vitiligo.Methods Autologous epidermal graft acquired by suction blister under negative pressure were transplanted onto the laser-abraded depigmented areas,then the narrow-band UVB radiation was given after grafting to 35 patients with stable vitiligo.The onset time and the area repigmentation of every epidermal graft 3 months latter were observed (digital image contrasted before and after treatment).The results were compared with 37 cases only treated with autologous epidermal grafting.Results Both onset time and the cure rate in combined treatment group were statistically significant (P＜0.05) as compared with control group.Conclusions The combination of autologous epidermal grafting with NB-UVB radiation can shorten the onset time of repigmentation and promote generation and extension of the melanin.

Objective To explore the clinical characteristics of bronchial carcinoma in elder patients and determine the operative indication, surgical technique, and management in the perioperative period. Methods 16 patients with bronchial carcinoma aged 80 and over received major pulmonary resection through muscle sparing mini-thoracotomy. The operative procedures were lobectomy(8 cases), bilobectomy (3 cases), sleeve lobectomy (2 cases), pneumonectomy (1 case), and lobectomy plus wedge resection (2 cases). Clinical data were analyzed retrospectively. Results Of the 16 patients, 6 with stage Ⅰ disease, 3 with stage Ⅱ and 7 with stage Ⅲdisease. There were no perioperative death occurred. The most popular postoperative complications were cardiac arrhythmia, pulmonary infection and hypoxemia. Conclusion Major pulmonary resection is a rational choice for part of the octogenarian patients with lung cancer.
