Abstract The development of effective school health education in the key to enhancing students health literacy. In 2024, the United States issued the National Health Education Standards (NHES) (3rd Edition), which established a goal system centered on health literacy. Its features included a hierarchical, continuous and holistic design of the standards, an emphasis on skills based health education, a focus on overall health and well being, and promotion of a diversified evaluation system. Through a textual analysis of the U.S. NHES (2024), four insights have been gained: integrating health literacy into the core competencies of disciplines to develop localized health education standards; creating a health education knowledge graph based on backward design to improve content structure; deepening the "disciplinary penetration + thematic education +" model, emphasizing students deep participation and performance in implementation; and improving the health education evaluation system by using digital and intelligent technologies for precise intervention.These efforts aim to promote students holistic development and advance educational modernization.

ObjectiveTo evaluate the efficacy and safety of transcutaneous electrical acupoint stimulation (TEAS) for muscle atrophy in patients with immobilization after surgical fixation of foot and ankle fractures.MethodsThis was a two-arm randomized controlled trial wherein 80 patients were recruited and divided into control (n = 40) and intervention (n = 40) groups. The control group received conventional orthopedic treatment, whereas the intervention group received TEAS and conventional treatment. The intervention group received TEAS 3 times a week for 30 min each time for 8 weeks. The primary outcomes were muscle thickness (MT) and cross-sectional area (CSA) of the rectus femoris and gastrocnemius muscles, whereas the secondary outcome measure was echo intensity (EI). Data were collected before the fixation operations (baseline assessment) and 4 and 8 weeks after intervention.ResultsCompared with baseline, the MT and CSA were reduced in both groups by the end of treatment, whereas EI increased in both groups. At week 4, the reduction in the rectus femoris CSA in the intervention group was significantly lower than that in the control group (P = .02); however, the between-group differences in the MT and EI (all P .05) were not significant. No serious adverse events were observed in either group.ConclusionOur study showed that TEAS can improve muscle atrophy by attenuating the decline in the muscle CSA. Because this was only a pilot trial, subsequent studies will need longer follow-ups and larger sample sizes.

Objective:To study positive rates and typing of oligoclonal bands (OCB) in patients with neurological disorders, and to reveal the clinical significance and applicational value of OCB test.Methods:A retrospective analysis was performed on the detection results of 3 217 patients with neurological disorders who undertook both serum and cerebrospinal fluid OCBs in the First Hospital of Peking University from January 2012 to August 2022. According to the final diagnosis, the patients were divided into 13 groups including multiple sclerosis (479 cases), neuromyelitis optica spectrum disorders (935 cases), autoimmune encephalitis (192 cases), viral encephalitis (94 cases), nervous system complication after HSCT (232 cases), Guillain-Barré syndrome (644 cases), chronic inflammatory demyelinating polyneuropathy (157 cases), etc. Cerebrospinal fluid and serum OCBs were detected using isoelectric focusing electrophoresis combining immunofixation, then classified into Ⅰ-Ⅴ types according to the morphology. Consequently, positive rates and types were analyzed for each group. χ2 test was used for comparison between groups. Results:The positive rates of cerebrospinal fluid OCB in multiple sclerosis, nervous system complication after hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (HSCT), autoimmune encephalitis, viral encephalitis, neuromyelitis optica spectrum disorders, Guillain-Barré syndrome and chronic inflammatory demyelinating polyneuropathy were respectively 66.8% (320/479), 48.7% (113/232), 46.4%(89/192), 19.1% (18/94), 17.6% (165/935), 9.9% (64/644), 5.1% (8/157). For patients with multiple sclerosis, neuromyelitis optica spectrum disorders, viral encephalitis, and autoimmune encephalitis, Type Ⅱ bands took the majority of cerebrospinal fluid OCB-positive cases with the rates of 94.1% (301/320), 78.7% (70/89), 77.8% (14/18), and 77.6% (128/165) respectively, indicating intrathecal IgG synthesis; for patients with nervous system complication after HSCT, Guillain-Barré syndrome and chronic inflammatory demyelinating polyneuropathy, type Ⅳ bands took the majority of cerebrospinal fluid OCB-positive cases with the rates of 94.7% (107/113), 82.8% (53/64) and 100% (8/8), indicating no obvious intrathecal IgG synthesis. The positive rates of cerebrospinal fluid oligoclonal bands were significantly different among all groups (χ 2=1 268.31, P<0.001). Conclusion:The positive rates of cerebrospinal fluid oligoclonal bands are different among different neurological disorders, in which the positive rate of cerebrospinal fluid OCB is higher with type Ⅱ bands as the majority type in multiple sclerosis, which indicates that the detection and typing of cerebrospinal fluid OCB are helpful for the diagnosis of various neurological diseases, especially for multiple sclerosis.

Objective:To explore the relationship between parental rearing style and mental health of community correction offenders, as well as the mediating role of personality and coping styles in it.Methods:A questionnaire survey was conducted on 385 community correction offenders by the Egma Minnen av Bardndosna uppforstran(EMBU), symptom checklist-90 (SCL-90), NEO five-factor inventory(NEO-FFI) and simplified coping style questionnaire(SCSQ) from February to July 2022.SPSS 27.0 software was used for correlation analysis and regression analysis.AMOS 26.0 was used for the construction of structural equation, and Bootstrap was used for mediating effect analysis.Results:In parental rearing styles, the dimension of parents' severe punishment(19.09±5.32, 12.93±4.77), father's preference for subjects(9.29±3.30), father's excessive protection(10.40±2.19), mother's excessive interference and protection(33.81±6.06)and parents' refusal and denial (9.08±3.03, 12.17±4.25) were significantly positively correlated with the total score of SCL-90 (140.63±44.28)( r=0.114, 0.168, 0.121, 0.144, 0.224, 0.187, 0.220 respectively, all P<0.05). Parents' emotional warmth and understanding, parents' severe punishment and parents' refusal and denial were significantly correlated with coping styles ( r=0.420, 0.420, -0.189, -0.190, -0.174, -0.163 respectively, P<0.05). Neuroticism, extraversion, conformity, rigor in personality were significantly correlated with the total score of SCL-90 ( r=0.542, -0.442, -0.204, -0.202 respectively, P<0.05). Coping style was significantly negatively correlated with the total score of SCL-90 ( r=-0.352, P<0.05). The father's refusal and denial, the mother's emotional warmth and understanding, the mother's excessive interference and protection in the parental rearing styles could predict the mental health of community correction offenders ( β=0.191, -0.163, 0.233 respectively, P<0.05). Coping styles had a negative predictive effect on mental health ( β=-0.352, P<0.05). Neuroticism, preciseness and extra-version in personality could predict mental health ( β=0.461, 0.183, -0.281 respectively, P<0.05). The pathway coefficient of parental rearing styles → mental health was 0.261 ( P<0.001), and the direct effect was significant. The confidence intervals of parental rearing styles → personality traits → mental health path, parental rearing styles → coping tendency → mental health path did not include 0, indicating that partial mediating effect of personality traits and coping tendency were significant. Conclusion:Personality traits and coping styles play a mediating role in the influence of parental rearing style on mental health of community correction offenders.

Objective:To investigate the effects of high-energy shock and vibration on cortex injury and peripheral blood immune cells in goats.Methods:Seventeen Boer goats without gender preference were selected. By using random number tables, the goats were divided into normal control group ( n=5) and shock and vibration injury group ( n=12). The goats in the normal control group were anatomized routinely and their brain was collected after being sacrificed without any other treatment. The goats in the high-energy shock and vibration model group were placed on a loading table (part of the BY10-100 instant shock and vibration simulation platform) in a restrained state, and made into a high-energy shock and vibration injury model induced by a vertical impact waveform generator. The intravenous blood samples were taken from the goats in the shock and vibration injury group before and at 0, 3, 6 and 24 hours after injury.Then, the goats were sacrificed and the following procedures were the same as the normal control group. At 24 hours after injury, the brain injury and the histopathological changes of the cerebral cortex in the normal control group and shock and vibration injury group were observed by gross pathological and anatomical examination and HE staining. The mRNA expression of zonula occludens 1 (ZO-1), tight junction protein 5 (Claudin-5), glial fibrillary acidic protein (GFAP), ionized calcium binding adaptor molecule 1 (IBA-1), interleukin (IL)-1β, IL-6 and cluster of differentiation antigen 177 (CD177) of the cerebral cortex in the normal control group and shock and vibration injury group were measured through fluorogenic quantitative polymerase chain reaction. The expression of ZO-1 and Claudin-5 proteins of the cerebral cortex in the normal control group and shock and vibration injury group were detected by Western blotting. Hematology analyzer and coagulation analyzer were used to detect white blood cell count, neutrocyte, lymphocyte, monocyte, prothrombin time 1 (PT-1), prothrombin time international normalized ratio (PT-INR), activated partial thromboplastin time (APTT), thrombin time (TT), prothrombin activity (PTA) and fibrinogen (FIB) levels in goats of the shock and vibration injury group before and at 0, 3, 6 and 24 hours after injury, respectively. Results:At 24 hours after injury, no visible contusion or necrosis was found in goat brain tissue in the shock and vibration injury group; the cerebral micro-vessels presented with a local dilation, hyperemia, edema, aggregation of inflammatory cells, disruption of vessel walls and leakage of red blood cells. These changes were not observed in the normal control group. In the shock and vibration injury group, ZO-1 and Claudin-5 mRNA expressions in the cerebral cortex were 0.25±0.10 and 0.09(0.04, 0.44) respectively, which were significantly lower than those of the normal control group [1.00±0.15 and 0.99(0.80, 1.20)]; GFAP, IBA-1, IL-1β, IL-6 and CD177 mRNA expression levels were 4.40(3.88, 6.75), 2.60±1.07, 3.04±0.51, 2.71±0.45 and 2.93±0.62 respectively, which were significantly higher than those of the normal control group [1.00(0.78, 1.22), 1.00±0.37, 1.00±0.27, 1.00±0.57 and 1.00±0.35]; ZO-1 and Claudin-5 protein expression levels were 0.41±0.06 and 0.42±0.11 respectively, which were significantly lower than those of the normal control group (1.08±0.12 and 0.91±0.23) (all P<0.01). In the shock and vibration injury group, the levels of white blood count, neutrocyte, and lymphocyte in peripheral blood were (13.7±3.3)×10 9/L, (35.3±14.8)% and (57.2±15.1)% respectively before injury, (19.4±3.1)×10 9/L, (60.5±12.5)% and (33.6±14.2)% respectively at 3 hours after injury, and (20.6±3.6)×10 9/L, (63.6±13.0)% and (30.9±15.0)% respectively at 6 hours after injury. By contrast, the levels of white blood count and neutrocyte were significantly increased but the level of lymphocyte was significantly decreased at 3 and 6 hours after injury ( P<0.05 or 0.01); the levels of the above indicators showed no significant changes at 0 and 24 hours after injury (all P>0.05); the level of monocyte did not change significantly at all time points before and after injury (all P>0.05). The levels of PT-1, PT-INR, APTT, TT, PTA and FIB in the shock and vibration injury group did not change significantly at each time point before and after injury (all P>0.05). Conclusion:Cerebral cortex microvascular injury and disruption of blood-brain barrier can be initiated in the early stage of high-energy shock and vibration injury in goats, accompanied by the presence of central and peripheral inflammatory response.

Objective:To evaluate the clinical efficacy of cannulated screws with sutures in the treatment of patellar transverse fractures.Methods:A retrospective analysis was performed of the data of 70 patients with patellar transverse fracture who had been admitted to Senior Department of Orthopedics, The Fourth Medical Center of Chinese PLA General Hospital from January 2017 to March 2021. According to the construction methods for the tension band, the patients were divided into 3 groups. In group A of 21 cases subjected to fixation with cannulated screws with sutures (Fiber-Tape), there were 8 males and 13 females with a median age of 55.0 (48.0, 65.0) years; in group B of 32 cases subjected to fixation with Kirschner wire tension band, there were 15 males and 17 females with a median age of 52.5 (41.5, 63.0) years; in group C of 17 cases subjected to fixation with Cable-Pin system, there were 5 males and 12 females with a median age of 55.0 (37.0, 65.0) years. The 3 groups were compared in terms of complications, secondary surgery (removal of internal fixation), operation time, intraoperative blood loss and knee function rated by the Lysholm and B?stman scores at the last follow-up.Results:There were no significant differences in the preoperative general data between the 3 groups, showing they were comparable ( P > 0.05). There was no significant difference in the operation time, intraoperative blood transfusion or follow-up time among the 3 groups ( P > 0.05). The incidence of soft tissue irritation [4.8% (1/21)] and the secondary operation rate [4.8% (1/21)] in group A were significantly lower than those in group B [43.8% (14/32) and 37.5% (12/32)] and group C [41.2% (7/17) and 35.3% (6/17)] ( P < 0.05), but there was no statistically significant difference between group B and group C ( P > 0.05). In groups A, B and C, respectively, the Lysholm knee score was 84.0 (69.0, 88.0), 89.0 (71.5, 95.0) and 82.0 (63.0, 90.0), and the B?stman knee score 26.0 (23.0, 28.0), 26.5 (24.0, 27.5) and 26.0 (22.0, 28.0), showing no significant difference ( P > 0.05). There was no significant difference either in the incidence of other complications among the 3 groups ( P > 0.05). Conclusion:In the treatment of patellar transverse fractures, compared with the Kirschner wire tension band and Cable-Pin system, cannulated screws with sutures (Fiber-Tape) may lead to a lower incidence of soft tissue irritation and a lower rate of secondary surgery, but no significant differences in operation time, intraoperative blood loss, other complications or postoperative functional scores.

Objective:To study the prevalence and clinical characteristics of hepatitis D patients.Methods:A total of 832 144 HBsAg positive persons who were from infectious department of Southwest Hospital Affiliated to Army Military Medical University were screened from January 1, 2010 to December 31, 2020. A total of 13 585 subjects completed relevant Hepatitis Delta virus (HDV) biomarker tests, 157 HDV patients were evaluated. The mean age was 53 ± 13 years, with a range of 22-85 years. The majority of these subjects were male. The prevalence, clinical characteristics, the outcome of 28 days follow-up and the influencing factors of the outcome were analyzed.Results:In recent 10 years, the screening rate related to hepatitis D was only 1.6% (13 585/832 144), and the screening rate was the highest in 2011, up to 4.13% (962/23 289); The positive rate of screening was only 1.17% (157/13 346). In 2012, the positive rate of screening was the highest, up to 3.56% (58/1627). In Southwest Hospital, the source of disease was 66.24% (104/157) in Chongqing, 22.93% (36/157) in Sichuan, 8.28% (13/157) in Guizhou, 1.27% (2/157) in Yunnan, and 0.64% (1/157) in each of Jiangxi and Tibet. Of 157 patients, 29 (18.47%) had non-cirrhotic with chronic low bilirubin hepatitis, 23.57% (37/157) was non-cirrhotic with chronic high bilirubin hepatitis, 28.66% (45/157) had acute-on-chronic liver failure (ACLF), 27.39% (42/157) had compensated cirrhosis or decompensated cirrhosis, and 1.91% (3/157) had primary hepatocellular carcinoma. The incidence of disease progression was 48.89% (22/48) of chronic-on-acute liver failure>33.33%(1/3) of primary hepatocellular carcinoma>25.58%(11/43) of compensated or decompensated cirrhosis>18.92%(7/37) of non-cirrhotic with chronic high bilirubin hepatitis>6.90%(2/29) of non-cirrhotic with chronic low bilirubin hepatitis ( P<0.05). Among them, 7.64%(12/157) had hepatic encephalopathy, and the rate of disease progression was 83.33%(10/12) ( P<0.05); 3.82% (6/157) of them had combined with other hepatophilic viruses including hepatitis C virus (HCV), Epstein-barr virus, (EBV), Cytomegalovirus (CMV) infections. Logistic regression analysis showed that old age, complication with hepatic encephalopathy, hyperbilirubinemia and prolonged coagulation time were independent risk factors affecting the outcome of hepatitis D. Conclusions:In recent 10 years, the screening rate of hepatitis D is low and the positive rate is not high. It should be noted that HDV infection can accelerate the progress of hepatitis and increase the risk of adverse liver outcomes.

Objective:To investigate the knowledge of the disease and demands of medical intervention in high-risk individuals of arteriosclerotic cardiovascular diseases (ASCVD).Methods:The 10-year ASCVD incidence risk prediction model was used to screen ASCVD high-risk individuals from Luohu district of Shenzhen city. From October 2018 to April 2019,a semi-structured in-depth interview was conducted among ASCVD high-risk individuals selected by stratified sampling method according to age, gender and educational level. The original data were analyzed with Colaizzi′s seven-step analysis method.Results:Total 37 interviewees were enrolled with an average age of (65.2±8.9) years and with an average ASCVD risk value of (14.2±3.2). Three themes were extracted from the interview, including: (1) Majority interviewees had better Knowledge about the hazards and risk factors of ASCVD; (2) Most of the interviewees had lower medical demands; (3) The interviewees were more likely to focus on symptomatic diseases or diseases disturbing them.Conclusions:The asymptomatic high-risk ASCVD individuals generally have better awareness of ASCVD and less demands for intervention. The result indicates that for health education, not only the knowledge, but also the attitude and behavior should be enhanced.

Objective: To explore the genetic cause for abnormal pregnancies through detecting chromosomal copy number variations (CNVs) in abortic tissues by next generation sequencing (NGS). Methods: NGS technique was used to detect CNVs in abortion tissues. Parental chromosomal karyotypes were predicted based on the results. The aberrant chromosomal segments of the parents were accurately mapped by G-banding karyotyping analysis and fluorescence in situ hybridization (FISH). Results: In addition to numerical chromosomal aberrations, 12 microdeletion/microduplications were detected by NGS. For 8 families where both parents accepted chromosomal karyotyping, 4 carriers of chromosomal abnormalities were identified. One marker chromosome was missed by karyotyping analysis, and a mother was confirmed to carry a cryptic balanced translocation by FISH. Conclusion NGS can facilitate detection of cryptic chromosomal translocations in couples with repeated pregnancy failure and is of great value for detecting abnormal CNVs for its high sensitivity.
