Objective:To explore the mediating effect of illness acceptance between self-compassion and rehabilitation motivation in stroke patients with partial disability. Methods:By convenience sampling method, stroke patients who attended the neurology outpatient clinic of Xinxiang Central Hospital from February to December 2024 were selected as the research subjects. The General Information Questionnaire, Self-Compassion Scale (SCS), Chinese version of Acceptance of Illness Scale (AIS-CHI), and Stroke Rehabilitation Motivation Scale (SRMS) were used for the survey. Pearson correlation analysis was applied to analyze the relationships among self-compassion, illness acceptance, and rehabilitation motivation. AMOS 21.0 software was used to establish a structural equation model and verify the mediating effect. Results:A total of 300 questionnaires were distributed, and 289 valid ones were recovered, with an effective recovery rate of 96.33%. Among the 289 stroke patients with partial disability, the total score of SCS was (65.73±5.50), the total score of AIS-CHI was (17.46±5.62), and the total score of SRMS was (77.18±10.97). Pairwise positive correlations were found between self-compassion, illness acceptance, and rehabilitation motivation (all P<0.05). Self-compassion had a direct positive effect on rehabilitation motivation ( β=0.328, P<0.01) and a direct positive effect on illness acceptance ( β=0.439, P<0.01). Illness acceptance played a partial mediating role between self-compassion and rehabilitation motivation, and the mediating effect accounted for 31.38% of the total effect (0.150/0.478) . Conclusions:The levels of self-compassion, illness acceptance, and rehabilitation motivation in stroke patients with partial disability need to be further improved. Illness acceptance exerts a partial mediating effect between self-compassion and rehabilitation motivation. Clinically, the rehabilitation motivation of patients can be enhanced by improving their levels of self-compassion and illness acceptance.

Background and Purpose:Previous studies have investigated the prognostic significance of skeletal muscle and adipose tissue composition and distribution in colorectal cancer patients, yet most have not differentiated between rectal and colon cancer patient cohorts. This study aimed to explore the relationship between body composition and long-term prognosis, and to develop a postoperative predictive model. Methods:Clinical data of rectal cancer patients who underwent surgical treatment at Qingdao University Affiliated Hospital from January 2018 to December 2021 were retrospectively collected.Inclusion criteria:①Age>18 years;② Preoperative colonoscopy and pathological diagnosis of colorectal cancer;③ Complete surgical resection;④Abdominal computed tomography(CT)scan 1 month before surgery.Exclusion criteria:① Clinical data is missing;② Multiple metastases of tumors;③ Tumor T stage 0 or carcinoma in situ;④ Severe artifacts lead to poor quality CT imaging, making it difficult to distinguish between fat and muscle;⑤ Inability to obtain follow-up results. This study has been approved by the Medical Ethics Committee of the Affiliated Hospital of Qingdao University(approval number:QYFYWZLL30313),and informed consent has been waived in the ethical approval process. The skeletal muscle index(SMI)and subcutaneous adipose tissue index(SATI)were calculated by dividing the areas of skeletal muscle and subcutaneous fat observed on CT scans by the square of the patient's height.Univariate and multivariate COX regression analyses were conducted to identify risk factors influencing recurrence-free survival(RFS)and overall survival(OS)in rectal cancer patients.Based on the results of the multivariate analysis,a nomogram prediction model was developed, its predictive power and accuracy were assessed using the receiver operating characteristic(ROC)curve, calibration plots and decision curve analysis(DCA),and internal validation was conducted. Results:A total of 696 patients were included in this study, with 96(13.8%)patients experiencing postoperative recurrence and 89(12.8%)patients dying.Multivariate COX regression analysis showed that SMI,SATI,tumor T stage and N stage were independent factors affecting the postoperative RFS and OS of patients.Nomogram prediction models for RFS and OS in rectal cancer patients were constructed based on the above independent predictors. The area under ROC curve(AUC)for 3-,4-and 5-year RFS was 0.862,0.846 and 0.824,respectively;the AUC for 3-,4-and 5-year OS was 0.886,0.898 and 0.875,respectively.The models were evaluated using calibration curves and decision curves, and internal validation was performed, which showed that the prediction accuracy of the models was good. Conclusion:CT body composition is an independent predictor of RFS and OS in rectal cancer patients, and the nomogram model developed based on these factors demonstrates good predictive value for patient prognosis.

Objective:Based on an integrated model of quality function deployment(QFD)and TRIZ theory, this study aims to design an intelligent rehabilitation device tailored for home-based stroke recovery.Method:Initially,a literature review, competitive product analysis, and scenario observation were conducted to examine the current state of rehabilitation devices.Subsequently, grounded theory and means-end chain(MEC)analysis were applied to interview 10 stroke patients, while demand ratings were collected from 29 ex-perts to extract user needs.QFD was used to calculate weightings and construct a house of quality(HOQ),and TRIZ theory was applied to identify and resolve functional conflicts, optimizing the design solution. The final design was evaluated through user ratings and JACK simulation analysis.Result:A multifunctional, intelligent rehabilitation device was developed, supporting 7 joint areas and 10 types of motion, integrated with multi-modal and multi-mode interaction. The design received an average user rating of 8.8 out of 10,and simulation results confirmed its ergonomic feasibility. Conclusion:The proposed design aligns with the current needs of stroke patients for home rehabilitation,dem-onstrating the effectiveness of the QFD-TRIZ integrated approach and providing valuable insights for future re-habilitation device development.

Genitourinary tract infections caused by Chlamydia trachomatis ( Ct) are characterized by their insidious onset, mild symptoms, and prolonged disease course, making them challenging to treat effectively. Chronic persistent infections and associated complications impose a significant burden on both patients and society. Numerous studies have shown that relying solely on antibiotics as first-line therapy may not be sufficient to completely eradicate urogenital Ct infections. Additionally, antibiotic use can lead to the development of Ct resistance and disrupt the body′s microbial balance. Therefore, the development of novel Ct inhibitors is crucial. This review summarizes recent advances in research on Ct inhibitors, aiming to provide a valuable reference for both basic research and clinical treatment of urogenital Ct infections.

S-methyl-L-cysteine sulfoxide (SMCO) is a non-protein sulfur-containing amino acid with a variety of functions. There are few reports on the enzymes catalyzing the biosynthesis of SMCO from S-methyl-L-cysteine (SMC). In this study, the flavin-containing monooxygenase gene derived from Schizosaccharomyces pombe (spfmo) was heterologously expressed in Escherichia coli BL21(DE3) and the enzymatic properties of the expressed protein were analyzed. The optimum catalytic conditions of the recombinant SpFMO were 30 ℃ and pH 8.0, under which the enzyme activity reached 72.77 U/g. An appropriate amount of Mg2+ improved the enzyme activity. The enzyme kinetic analysis showed that the Km and kcat/Km of SpFMO on the substrate SMC were 23.89 μmol/L and 61.71 L/(min·mmol), respectively. Under the optimal reaction conditions, the yield of SMCO synthesized from SMC catalyzed by SpFMO was 12.31% within 9 h. This study provides reference for the enzymatic synthesis of SMCO.
