Objective:To apply data mining and bibliometric methods to collect and analyze literatures related to the uPMR 790 integrated positron emission tomography/magnetic resonance imaging(PET/MRI)of the United Imaging Healthcare(UIH)and assess its output effects in clinical research and application,continued research and development,performance improvement,technology assessment,healthcare technology management,and other aspects.Methods:To conduct literature searches on data platforms such as China National Knowledge Infrastructure(CNKI),WanFang Data Knowledge Service Platform(WANFANG DATA),Wanfang Medical Network(WANFANG MED ONLINE),Chinese Medical Association Journal Database(Yiigle),NIH/PubMed,etc.Based on literature review,to implement bibliometric analysis and evaluate from several technological output dimensions.Results:134 sample literatures were obtained.Among them,there are 121 journal articles,10 dissertations(1 doctoral dissertation and 9 master's theses),3 case reports from the Chinese Medical Case Repository,59 of foreign language journals,and 101 articles sourced from uPMR 790 users as the first author affiliation.Engineering and technical personnel from UIH participated in 58 journal articles;89 clinical research articles,accounting for 66.42%of the sample literatures,15 engineering research and artificial intelligence(AI)research articles,accounting for 11.19%,15 technology assessment articles,accounting for 11.19%,4 healthcare technology management articles,1 experimental research article,and 10 reviews.In addition,33 related patent technologies were retrieved from UIH and its cooperative institutions,as well as UIH PET/MRI equipment users,including 20 invention patents,13 utility model patents.Conclusion:The research results show that the innovative medical equipment,the uPMR 790 PET/MRI,has definite technological outputs in clinical research and application,providing important and widely data of evidence-based medicine for clinical application promotion.It also map out the effective support of this innovative medical equipment for multidisciplinary clinical research such as medical imaging,neurology,cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases,geriatrics,pediatrics,etc.Driven by the model of medical-engineering integration and synergy mechanism,display multidimensional output effects such as continuous research and development,quality improvement,technology assessment,configuration management,and healthcare technology management.UIH actively participates in researchs and follows up on innovative practices in medical-engineering integration,demonstrating a positive attitude as a leading medical equipment enterprise.Real world research will provide evidence support for the application demonstration and promotion for equipment manufactured by Chinese medical equipment enterprises.

Objective:To explore the research hotspots and effective promotion paths of post market surveillance and supervise of medical consumables with non-active medical devices.Methods:Data mining methods were used to collect related journal literatures and documents from the websites of China regulatory institutions and the China National Knowledge Infrastructure(CNKI),order sub item data of medical device adverse event reports,extract the MeSH element words of literatures and documents,perform bibliometric analysis and visual display.Results:The number of medical devices adverse event reports in China has been increasing year by year,reaching 694 866 in 2022,in the four statistical years from 2019 to 2022,the number of reports on non-active medical devices and IVD reagents also showed a parallel increasing trend,accounting for about 65.00% of the total number of adverse event reports on medical devices in the year.The bibliometric analysis of journal literature shows that research in this field has received varying degrees of participation from regulatory institutions,universities,medical institutions,and enterprises.Regulatory institutions have contributed 46 articles,accounting for 56.79% of the total number of articles,followed by 28 articles from universities.The co-occurrence analysis shows that hot topic is focused in 5 clusters:quality management,risk management,international experiences discussion and adverse event surveillance and re-evaluation and real-world research.China regulatory institutions attach great importance to post market surveillance and supervise,and have issued more than 20 relevant documents since 2006,focusing on specific topics and gradually deepening around safety and effectiveness.Conclusion:The post market surveillance and supervise of medical devices,especially medical consumables based on non-active medical devices,need to be promoted synchronously in three dimensions:regulatory institutions,medical institutions,and enterprises.Universities,research institutes,and industry organizations should work in coordinating to strengthen the collection,identification,and active surveillance of risk signals based on adverse event surveillance,safety evaluation based on risk management,and conducting real-world research,research and develop risk control and corrective and preventive measures.

Based on the perspective of medical equipment safety culture,analyze the Global Patient Safety Report 2024 released by the World Health Organization(WHO)on May 30,and extract patient safety elements related to medical devices.Propose to initiate action plan for patient safety related to medical devices and discuss the pathway and measures to further ensure patient safety and strengthen safety management in the clinical use of medical devices,in conjunction with promoting high-quality development of hospitals.

Background and objective Lung cancer is a common malignant tumor all over the world, and Ca2+is a critical regulator for apoptosis of cancer cells. hTe monitoring of cytoplastic Ca2+level in real-time will contribute to further investigate the molecular mechanisms of apoptosis mediated by Ca2+in lung cancer cells. To evaluate the Ca2+indicator lfuo-3 and lfuo-4 in the process of H2O2 induced the apoptosis of lung adenocarcinoma A549 cells. hTe cytoplastic Ca2+concentration ([Ca2+]i) was determined in real-time, and the correlations between [Ca2+]i and cell apoptosis were investigated. hTe differences in lfuorescence intensity and measured value were compared between the two Ca2+indicators. Methods Cells were loaded with the Ca2+indicator lfuo-3 or lfuo-4 for 1 h, and then stimulated with 50 mM H2O2. Laser scanning confocal microscope was applied to perform real-time monitoring on the variation of [Ca2+]i in selected cells. DAPI staining was used to observe apop-tosis in H2O2 treated cells. Results Our results showed that the lfuorescence intensity of lfuo-4 was stronger than that of lfuo-3 in the same condition of dye concentration, loading time and image acquisition parameters before or atfer H2O2 stimulation. hTe cytoplastic [Ca2+]i was rapidly elevated in H2O2 stimulated A549 cells. hTe range of [Ca2+]i in selected cells loaded with lfuo-3 was 112.2 nM-1,069.6 nM, and that in selected cells loaded with lfuo-4 was 7.6 nM-505.4 nM. Moreover, the apoptotic rate was signiifcantly increased in H2O2 treated cells, compared with untreated ones (P<0.01). Conclusion In summary, H2O2 promoted Ca2+release in A549 cells, and induced cell apoptosis. Ca2+indicator lfuo-4 was probably more applicable to measure [Ca2+]i in cells with less content of Ca2+.

BACKGROUNDCluster of differentiation 44 (CD44) is a family of transmembrane glycoproteins. As cell surface hyaluronate receptor, it has been found to be widely expressed in a variety of cells. The aim of this study is to assess the relationship among CD44 expression, DNA content, proliferation index (PI) and apoptosis in female adenocarcinoma of the lung.

METHODSThe expression of CD44, DNA index (DI), PI and apoptotic rate were studied in 61 cases of female adenocarcinoma of the lung, paracancerous tissues and 45 cases of benign lesions by flow cytometry.

RESULTSThe percent of DNA aneuploidy was 75.41% in adenocarcinoma. The expression of CD44, DI and PI in adenocarcinoma were significantly higher than those in paracancerous and benign controls (P < 0.01), however the apoptotic rate was obviously lower in adenocarcinoma than that in paracancerous and benign controls (P < 0.01). There was a positive correlation between CD44 and DI (P < 0.01), and a negative correlation between apoptosis and DI in adenocarcinoma (P < 0.01).

CONCLUSIONSThe expression of CD44, DNA content, proliferation and apoptosis may play important regulating roles in oncogenesis, development and metastasis of female adenocarcinoma of the lung.

BACKGROUNDXeroderma pigmentosum group D (XPD) is one of the important DNA repair genes. XPD polymorphism at Lys751Gln site has been shown to alter XPD protein function, modulate DNA repair capacity and therefore affect cancer risk. The aim of this study is to explore the relationship between XPD polymorphism and susceptibility to lung cancer in nonsmoking female via a population-based case-control study.

METHODSThere were 105 female patients who were diagnosed with lung cancer between January 2004 and December 2005 from Liaoning Tumor Hospital and 202 Hospital, and the control group included 105 healthy volunteers who were obtained from community centers at the same time. Information concerning demographic and risk factors was obtained for each case and control by a trained interviewer. XPD genotypes of cases and controls were determined by PCR-RFLP method. Two-sided Chi-Square test was used to compare the distribution of the genotypes and risk factors between cases and controls. Unconditional logistic regression analysis was performed to calculate the odds ratios (OR) with 95% confidence intervals (CI) for estimating the association between certain genotypes and lung cancer and exploring the interaction of environmental risk factors and genetic polymorphism.

RESULTSAll of the subjects in this study were nonsmoking females in Shenyang. There was no significant demographic difference (age, economic level and education) between cases and controls. There was a significant difference in the frequencies of XPD polymorphism between cancer cases and controls. The frequencies of XPD 751Gln allele were 6.2% in controls and 13.8% in cases (P < 0.05). The risk of lung cancer was higher in those with the Lys/Gln or Gln/Gln genotype than in those with the Lys/Lys genotype and adjusted OR was 2.80 (95% CI: 1.21-6.48). The result showed that cooking fumes exposure was a risk factor for lung cancer (OR was 2.44). Furthermore, an interaction between environmental risk factors and the variant XPD 751Gln allele on the risk of lung cancer was observed. Individuals with both risk gen-otype and exposure to cooking fumes had a higher elevated risk of cancer than those with only one of them (adjusted OR= 6.85 ; 95% CI: 1.69-27.67; P=0.007).

CONCLUSIONSThe above findings indicate that the Lys751Gln polymorphism in XPD gene is associated with the risk of lung cancer in nonsmoking females. Individuals with both XPD 751Gln allele genotype and exposure to cooking fumes have a higher elevated risk of cancer than those with only one of them in nonsmoking female population.

BACKGROUNDXRCC1 polymorphism at Arg399Gln site has been shown to modulate DNA repair capacity. The aim of this study is to assess the relationship between XRCC1 polymorphism and susceptibility to lung adenocarcinoma in nonsmoking female via a hospital-based case-control study.

METHODSCases were 126 female patients with lung adenocarcinoma from January 2002 to October 2004 in China Medical University Hospital and Liaoning Tumor Hospital. Controls were selected from patients with other pulmonary diseases in the hospitals at the same time. These controls were matched to cases on age (±5 years). Information concerning demographic and risk factors was obtained for each case and control by a trained interviewer. XRCC1 genotypes were determined by PCR-RFLP. The adjusted odds ratio (OR) and 95% confidence interval (CI) were calculated using logistic regression.

RESULTSCases showed a higher prevalence of oil smoke compared with controls (P < 0.05). The frequencies of Arg/Arg, Arg/Gln and Gln/Gln in lung adenocarcinoma group (32.54%, 42.86%, 24.60%) were significantly different from those in controls (54.76%, 40.48%, 4.76%) (P < 0.05). The individual carrying Gln/Gln genotype was at a significantly increased risk of lung adenocarcinoma compared with those with Arg/Arg genotype (OR=8.695, 95%CI 3.343-22.614, adjusted for age and oil smoke exposure). Furthermore, the OR of lung adenocarcinoma for the variant XRCC1 399Gln allele combined with exposure to oil smoke was 5.21 (95%CI 1.85-14.70, P < 0.001).

CONCLUSIONSThe results indicate that the Arg399Gln polymorphism in XRCC1 is associated with the risk of lung adenocarcinoma in nonsmoking women.
