[Purpose]To analyze the incidence and mortality of lung cancer in Zhejiang cancer regi-stration areas in 2021 and trends from 2000 to 2021.[Methods]Using data from Zhejiang cancer registration areas from 2000 to 2021,the crude rate,age-standardized rate by Chinese standard population(ASRC)and the world standard population(ASRW),and composition ratio were calcu-lated to describe the incidence and mortality in 2021.Joinpoint regression was employed to ana-lyze temporal trends over the 22 years,calculating the annual percentage change(APC),average annual percentage change(AAPC),and their 95％confidence intervals(CI).[Results]The crude incidence rate of lung cancer in 2021 was 128.58/105,with an ASRC of 68.74/105,ac-counting for 24.22％of all cancers;the crude mortality rate was 51.55/105,with an ASRC of 21.58/105,constituting 27.98％of all cancer deaths.Both crude incidence rate(AAPC=5.73％,P＜0.001)and ASIRC(AAPC=4.14％,P＜0.001)of lung cancer showed significant increasing trends from 2000 to 2021.The crude mortality rate increased slowly(AAPC=1.76％,P＜0.001),while the ASMRC(AAPC=-0.40％,P=0.035)exhibited a modest decline.The increase in incidence was more pronounced in females than males,though no statistically significant difference was observed in mortality trends.The incidence rates in urban and rural areas showed similar growth trends;the crude mortality rate in rural areas was growing significantly faster than that in urban areas,and the decline in the ASRC was only statistically significant in urban areas.The incidence rate was in-creasing in all age groups.The mortality rate was declining among younger people(＜65 years old).The age group of 15～44 years old demonstrated a greater increase in incidence and a sharper decline in mortality than those aged 45 years old and above.[Conclusion]From 2000 to 2021,Zhejiang Province experienced a marked rise in lung cancer incidence with escalating disease burden.Despite severe population aging,ASRC of mortality declined steadily,reflecting effective prevention and control measures.

Objective:To study the clinical effects of modified surgical method with H-uvulopalatopharyngoplasty(H-UPPP)and traditional surgical method in the treatment of obstructive sleep apnea hypopnea syndrome(OSAHS)in children.Methods:The clini-cal data of 364 pediatric patients with OSAHS were retrospectively analyzed.The patients were divided into 2 groups and treated by low-temperature plasma knife radio frequency ablation for bilateral tonsil removal combined with H-UPPP(group A,n=204)and low-temperature plasma knife radio frequency ablation only(group B,n=160)respectively.The operative time,intraoperative bleed-ing,postoperative secondary bleeding,VAS of pain following operation,postoperative traumatic white film shedding time,OAH1,LSaO2,ESS scores and complications of the 2 groups were compared.Results:In group A the operative time,intraoperative bleed-ing,VAS,OAHI and ESS scores were lower than those in group B(P＜0.05),wile postoperative traumatic white film detachment time and LSaO2 were higher(P＜0.05).No statistically significant difference in terms of the number of cases of postoperative seconda-ry bleeding and complications was observed between the 2 groups(P＞0.05).Conclusion:The combination of low-temperature plas-ma radio frequency ablation and H-UPPP for the treatment of OSAHS may provide clear intraoperative view,and may improve the treatment effects.

Objective Nutrition plays an indispensable role in disease prevention,recovery,and medical improvement.The ability of medical staff to master correct nutrition knowledge plays an important role in nutritional support and education for disease recovery.This survey aims to invest the nutritional knowledge,attitudes,and dietary behaviors of medical staff in a tertia-ry hospital in Guangzhou.Methods Questionnaire surveys is conducted as a sampling survey for nutritional knowledge and be-havior in medical staff,including the mastery of nutrition knowledge,nutritional behavior habits,and others.Results Accuracy Rate of nutrition knowledge was only 49.72％in medical staff while 68％present with high enthusiasm for learning nutrition knowledge.Forty-four percent believe that the current public opinion lacks sufficient promotion of nutrition,resulting in a lack of nutrition knowledge and attention to the actual dietary situation.Conclusion Improvement of nutrition knowledge training,dieta-ry structure and lifestyle of medical staff,could promote both their physical health and their patients'health status.

OBJECTIVE To explore the effect of changing lifestyle diet in the treatment of laryngeal reflux disease(LRPD).METHODS A total of 92 patients with LRPD who received outpatient treatment in the Second Affiliated Hospital of Fujian Medical University from January 2022 to June 2023 were selected as the study control,divided into control group(46 cases)and treatment group(46 cases).The control group was treated with conventional acid suppression and gastric motogenic therapy.The treatment group was treated on the basis of the control group with giving guidance on lifestyle and diet.The changes of reflux symptom index scale(RSI)and reflux sign score scale(RFS)and the clinical efficacy of the two groups were compared 8 weeks and 12 weeks after treatment.RESULTS RSI total score was improved 8 weeks after treatment compared with before treatment in both RSI control group and treatment group(P＜0.05).The total RSI score of 12 weeks after treatment was improved compared with that of 8 weeks after treatment in both control and treatment groups(P＜0.05).The total RFS score at 8 weeks after treatment was improved in both control group and treatment group compared with before treatment(P＜0.05).Compared with 8 weeks after treatment,the total RFS score in both control group and treatment group was improved(P＜0.05).After 8 weeks of treatment,the total effective rate of the control group(60.9%)was compared with that of the treatment group(71.7%),and there was no significant difference between the two groups(χ2=1.335,P=0.513).After 12 weeks of treatment,the total effective rate of the control group(73.9%)was compared with the total effective rate of the treatment group(91.3%),and the difference between the two groups was statistically significant(χ2=6.226,P=0.044).CONCLUSION The change of lifestyle and diet should become an important part of the treatment of LRPD.By adjusting the unhealthy lifestyle and diet,the symptoms of patients can be significantly reduced and better clinical efficacy can be obtained.

Objectives To investigate the effects of low level of ambient NO₂ on the death of cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases in Enshi city and to identify sensitive population, so as to provide a scientific basis for formulating health policies. Methods The data of air pollutants, meteorological factors and death of cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases in Enshi city from 2015 to 2018 were collected. The generalized additive model based on Poisson distribution was used to analyze the effects of low ambient NO₂ level on the death risk of cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases in Enshi city. A subgroup analysis was performed on age, gender, and season. Results The average concentrations of major gaseous air pollutants in Enshi city from 2015 to 2018 were NO₂ (21.40 μg/m³), SO₂ (9.68 μg/m³), CO (0.88 mg/m³), and O₃ (61.21 μg/m³), respectively, all of which did not exceed the national secondary standard. The results of single pollutant model analysis showed that each 1 μg/m3 increase in NO₂ concentration in lag0 day was associated with a 0.33% increase (95% CI: 0.06 - 0.72) (P>0.05) in mortality risk of cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases. In the female population, each 1 μg/m3 increase in NO2 concentration in lag01 day was associated with a 0.92% increase (95% CI: 0.26 - 1.56) (P<0.05) in mortality risk of cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases. In the cold season, each 1 μg/m3 increase in NO₂ concentration in lag0 day was associated with a 0.62% increase (95% CI: 0.12 - 1.12) (P<0.05) in mortality risk of cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases. The results of the two-pollutant model showed that after controlling other gaseous pollutants (SO₂, CO or O₃), the effect of NO₂ on the mortality risk of cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases in women and the whole population in cold season still existed. Conclusion The low ambient level of NO₂ in Enshi city was significantly associated with increased mortality risk of cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases in female population as well as in cold seasons in the whole population. Attention should be paid to the health protection of special populations in areas with low ambient pollution level of NO₂ in special seasons.

Programmed death factor-1 (PD-1) is a promising target molecule for clinical tumor immunotherapy in recent years. Recent studies suggest that PD-1 and related signaling pathways (PI3K/AKT, JAK/STAT3, p38MAPK, ERK, etc.) played a key regulatory role in the process of pulmonary fibrosis. Silicosis is a systemic disease caused by inhalation of free silicon dioxide dust, which is mainly characterized by extensive pulmonary nodular fibrosis and seriously endangers the health of patients. Dissecting the role of PD-1 in the pathogenesis of silicosis may be of great significance in the mechanism research and clinical diagnosis and treatment of silicosis. This paper reviews the regulation of PD-1 molecule on related signaling pathways and its role in pulmonary fibrosis, and looks forward to the potential application of these mechanistic studies in silicosis research.

Objective:To evaluate the effect of imatinib on growth impairment in children with chronic myeloid leukemia (CML-CP) in the chronic phase.Methods:From July 2018 to July 2019, questionnaires were distributed to CML children aged <18 years at the time of diagnosis who were receiving imatinib for at least 3 months or to their parents in China. The height-for-age standard deviation score (HtSDS) and the difference of standard deviation integral (△HtSDS) were used to explore the change in height with imatinib therapy.Results:The data of 238 respondents were included; 138 (58.0% ) respondents were men. The median age at the first diagnosis of CML was 11.0 years (range, 1.4-17.9 years) , and 93 (39.0% ) respondents were at the prepuberty stage. At the time of completing the questionnaires, the median age was 15.0 years (range, 2.0-34.0 years) . The median duration of imatinib therapy was 28 months (range, 3-213 months) . Among all the respondents, the mean HtSDS when completing the questionnaires (-0.063±1.361) was significantly lower than that at the time of starting imatinib treatment (0.391±1.244) ( P<0.001) . Total 71.0% respondents showed growth impairment that was more common in those starting imatinib therapy at prepubertal age than in those starting at pubertal age. Multivariate analysis showed that younger at the start of imatinib therapy ( P<0.001) and longer duration of imatinib therapy ( P<0.001) were significantly associated with severe growth impairment on imatinib therapy. Conclusions:Imatinib induced growth impairment in children with CML-CP. Younger the age of initiation and longer the duration of imatinib therapy, more obvious the effect of imatinib on growth impairment.

BACKGROUND: How to obtain human-derived hepatocyte of high quality is the key problem for both bioartificial liver and hepatocyte transplantation. Bone marrow stem cells (BMSCs) can differentiate hepatocyte under proper condition, which provides a new think for obtaining hepatocyte.OBJECTIVE: To investigate the methods of the trans-differentiation of human BMSCs into hepatocyte in rats so as to provide a new think for clinical transplantation of liver and source of bioartificial liver.DESIGN: Randomized controlled study.SETTING: General Surgery of Zhujiang Hospital of Southern Medical University.MATERIALS: The experiment was conducted at Central Laboratory of Zhujia ng Hospital of Southern Medical University from May 2004 to February 2005. Totally 40 male SD rats of clean grade were divided randomly into five groups: model group, modeling + 14-day transplantation group of human BMSCs, modeling + 28-day transplantation group of human BMSCs, modeling + 14-day transplantation group of CL-1 cell (human hepatocyte family), and modeling + 28-day transplantation group of CL-1 cell (human hepatocyte family) with 8 in each group.acetaminofIuorene + carbon tetrachloride + cyclophosphamide were esand differentiated into hepatocyte with remedial liver regeneration. Human BMSCs were observed for 14 days in modeling + 14-day transplantation group of human BMSCs, for 28 days in modeling + 28-day transplantation group of human BMSCs, for 14 days in modeling + 14-day transplantation group of CL-1 cell and for 28 days in modeling + 28-day transplantation group of CL-1 cell. However, cells in model group function of rats was measured at normal state, before and after transplantation. The expressions of human albumin mRNA in liver were detected by immunohistochemistry staining, polymerase chain reaction (PCR) and real time reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) respectively.of human albumin mRNA in liver.transplantation of human BMSCs on hepatic function and content of total bilirubin: Hepatic function and content of total bilirubin in each transplantation group were similar to those in model group at normal state and before transplantation (P ＞ 0.05); values in each group were obviously increased before transplantation as compared with those at normal state (P ＜ 0.01) and were obviously decreased after transplantation as compared with those before transplantation (P ＜ 0.01) but were higher ical section of hepatic cells: At normal state, pathological section of hepatic cells showed that hepatic cells lined in strip-chorda shape and radian shape around central vein; and inflammatory cells were not infiltrated in crossed-channel area. Necrosis was observed in model group. Proliferated changes were observed in transplantation groups of human BMSCs after a few of necrosis, and ovale-round cells and small bile duct proliferation main histocompatibility antigen-I in liver: Positive rate was 0 in model group; (13.03±0.18)% in modeling + 14-day transplantation group of human BMSCs; (9.47±0.46)% modeling + 28-day transplantation group of human BMSCs; (10.27±0.50)% in modeling + 14-day transplantation group of CL-1 cell; and (9.84±0.23)% in modeling + 28-day transplanwas detected in model group, but Sox11 and Alu-sx were detected in both transplantation groups of human BMSCs and CL-1 cells at various RT-PCR: Expression of human albumin mRNA was not observed in model group, but expression of that was observed in transplantation groups of human BMSCs and CL-1 cell as well as positive controls at various time points respectively.CONCLUSION: Human BMSCs can promote recovery of hepatic function.Replaceable rate of human-derived cells is 10% in liver of rats, which suggests that human BMSCs can converse into hepatocyte in xenoma and replace partly.

The main acupoints Huantiao (GB 30) and Juliao (GB 29), combined with the adjunct acupoints according to the pain characteristic, were punctured, after arrival of qi, needle warming therapy was performed, and then Tuina therapy was applied after the removal of needles. Among 72 cases of sciatica treated by these therapies, 53 cases were cured, 13 cases were remarkably improved, 4 cases were effective, and 2 cases got no effect, with the total effective rate being 97.2%.
