With the widespread use of antimicrobial agents, bacterial drug resistance has become an increasingly severe issue, posing significant challenges to global healthcare. Traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) has emerged as a research focus in the field of bacterial resistance due to its broad sources, high safety profile, low toxicity, and antimicrobial mechanisms distinct from those of chemical drugs. Studies have shown that various TCM herbs, such as Scutellaria baicalensis, exert antibacterial effects through multiple pathways, including disrupting the integrity of bacterial cell walls and membranes, inhibiting nucleic acid and protein synthesis, and impairing energy production and metabolism. Additionally, certain TCM herbs, including Scutellaria baicalensis, Coptis chinensis, and Fritillaria thunbergii, can reverse antimicrobial resistance by eliminating resistant plasmids, inhibiting bacterial efflux pump function, and suppressing β-lactamase activity. TCM holds promising potential for antibacterial applications and synergistically reversing antimicrobial resistance, though systematic analyses remain limited. This review summarizes the mechanisms of antibacterial action of TCM and current research on its synergistic use with antimicrobial agents to reverse drug resistance, aiming to provide insights for developing novel TCM-based antimicrobials and addressing bacterial resistance.

In recent years, significant progress has been made in pharmacological research on the treatment of ischemic stroke with monomeric components of traditional Chinese medicine, among which flavonoids have shown good neuroprotective effects. This article reviews the regulatory role of flavonoids in the signaling pathway of ischemic brain injury.

Objective To evaluate the efficacy and safety of Bailemian capsule in the treatment of stroke-related sleep disorder(SSD).Methods The relevant literatures published by CNKI,VIP,Wanfang Data Knowledge Service Platform,SinoMed,PubMed,Web of Science,Cochrane Library database were retrieved from the establishment of the database to December 21,2024.Cochrane risk bias assessment tool was used to evaluate the literature quality,and RevMan 5.3 software was used to conduct Meta-analysis of the included literatures.Results A total of 11 literatures and 1054 patients were included.The results of Meta-analysis showed that cure and significant efficiency rate of patients of bservation group were significantly higher than those of control group(OR=1.93,95％CI:1.50-2.48,P＜0.000 01),clinical effective rate was significantly higher than that of control group(OR=3.70,95％CI:2.50-5.49,P＜0.000 01),incidence of adverse reactions was significantly lower than that of control group(OR=0.38,95％CI:0.22-0.67,P=0.0007).Conclusion Western medicine treatment combined with Bailemian capsule can reduce the insomnia symptoms of SSD patients,effectively improve the quality of life,and have good safety.

Objective To predict the lymphovascular invasion(LVI)status of breast cancer patients based on digital breast tomo-synthesis(DBT)intratumoral and peritumoral radiomics nomogram.Methods A total of 192 breast cancer patients from 2 institu-tions were retrospectively selected,in which institution 1 was used for train(n=113)and test(n=49),while institution 2 was used for external validation(n=30).Radiomics features were extracted and selected based on intratumoral and peritumoral 1 mm regions from DBT images.Different machine learning algorithms were used to construct intratumoral,peritumoral,and combined intratumoral and peritumoral models,respectively.Patient clinical data were analyzed by both univariate and multivariate logistic regression analy-ses to identify independent risk factors for the clinical imaging model.The performance of the models was evaluated using the receiver operating characteristic(ROC)curve.The radiomics features with the optimal diagnostic performance and the selected clinical imaging features were combined to construct a comprehensive clinical-radiomics model,and a nomogram was drawn.Results The combined intratumoral and peritumoral model was the optimal radiomics model.Maximum tumor diameter[odds ratio(OR)=1.486,P=0.014],suspicious malignant calcifications(OR=2.898,P=0.015),and axillary lymph node(ALN)metastasis(OR=3.615,P<0.001)were independent risk factors for LVI positive.Furthermore,the area under the curve(AUC)of the comprehensive clinical-radiomics model in the training set,test set and external valida-tion set was 0.889,0.916,and 0.862,respectively,which was higher than those of the combined intratumoral and peritumoral model(0.858,0.849,0.844)and the clinical imaging model(0.743,0.759,0.732).Conclusion The predictive nomogram,derived from both radiomics and clinical imaging features,is relatively accurate in identifying future LVI occurrence in breast cancer,demonstra-ting its potential as an assistive tool for clinicians to devise individualized treatment regimes.

Objective To analyze the situation and study trend of large-scale nurses'health cohort studies based on Web of Science,to help design clinical guidelines and scientific research for nursing staff in China.Methods Articles of large nurses'health cohort studies published from 1993 to 2023 were retrieved from Web of Science(WOS)Core Collection.Citespace and Bibilometrix were used to perform the bibliometric analysis.Results 2882 studies were included in this study.Total volume of papers was enlarging by year.Clustering results showed that the main keywords could be divided into 3 categories:risks of women's health,risks of cardiovascular disease and reproducibility.Results of keywords burst showed that lifestyle,cardiovascular disease,women reproductive health and mental health were the highlights of studies in recent 5 years.Conclusion Research on large-scale nurse health cohorts holds significant scientific significance.It is recommended to establish a nationwide large-scale nurse health cohort as soon as possible.In the study,appropriate exposure factors should be selected,with reproductive health,mental health,and psychiatric disorders being the primary outcome measures,and chronic physical illnesses being the secondary outcome measures.By systematically describing the factors influencing the physical and mental health of nurses in China,we can better safeguard their well-being and promote the development of the nursing discipline.

OBJECTIVES: Health workers are at risk of workplace violence, which can seriously affects their mental health and work status. This study aims to explore the mediating role of depression between workplace violence and job burnout among healthcare workers. METHODS: From January 10 to February 5, 2019, a questionnaire was distributed to frontline healthcare workers through the wenjuanxing platform using convenient sampling (snowball sampling). The questionnaire included the Chinese version of the Workplace Violence Scale, Maslach Burnout Inventory, and Patient Health Questionnaires (PHQ-2). Descriptive statistics, correlation analysis, and mediation model tests were conducted on the cross-sectional data collection. RESULTS: The study included 3 684 participants, with (31.63±7.69) years old. Among them 2 079(56.43%) were experienced workplace violence, 687(18.65%) were screened positive for depression, and 2 247(60.99%) were experienced high levels of occupational burnout. Correlation analysis showed positive association between workplace violence and depression, workplace violence and occupational burnout, depression and occupational burnout (r=0.135, r=0.107, r=0.335, respectively, all P<0.001). After controlling for covariates, workplace violence had an indirect effect on occupational burnout through depression, with a standardized coefficient of 0.25 (SE=0.02, 95% CI 0.21 to 0.28), accounting for 13.87% of the total effect. CONCLUSIONS The study highlights the close relationship between workplace violence, depression, and occupational burnout among healthcare workers, with depression acting as a mediator between workplace violence and occupational burnout. This study suggests that it is necessary to improve the communication skills of healthcare workers, increase the installation of security systems and emergency plans, use new media platforms to convey positive energy between doctors and patients, and open channels for medical consultation and complaints. It is also necessary to provide guidance for healthcare workers' depressive emotions. Addressing depression among health care workers will help reduce the harm caused by workplace violence, protect the physical and mental health of healthcare workers, and reduce work burnout.

There is still a lack of sufficient evidence-based basis for the treatment of simple gaming disorder. The purpose of this paper is to review the research progress of gaming disorder intervention， in order to provide references for the treatment of patients with gaming disorder. With the development and popularization of the Internet， the adverse events caused by the pathological use of online games have attracted wide attention. At present， gaming disorder has been listed in the International Classification of Diseases， eleventh edition （ICD-11） by WHO. This paper reviewed the latest interventions measures about gaming disorder at home and abroad in the past decade， including psychological， pharmacological and physical intervention methods， and analyzed and summarized these intervention measures， so as to provide references for patients with gaming disorder to formulate a reasonable intervention plan.

Objective To evaluate the value of the thumper cardiopulmonary resuscitator in the emergency cardiopulmonary resuscitation(CPR).Methods Fifty cardiac mspiratory sudden stop patients with thumper cardiopulmonary resuscitator from January 2004 to December 2007 were recruited into treatment group,and 80 cardiac respiratory sudden stop patients with barehanded CPR from May 2000 to December 2003 were recruited into control group.The SBP and blood oxygen saturation 5 to 10 minutes after the resuscitation was compared.The rate of restoration of spontaneous circulation(ROSC),hospitalization and the complication in the two groups was compared.Results The treatment group was better than the control group in improving the SBP and blood oxygen saturation(P＜0.05).The rates of ROSC and hospitalization in the treatment group were higher than those in the control group(44%,40%and 25%,21%).P＜0.05.The rate of complications had no significant difference between the two groups.Conclusions Thumper cardiopulmonary resuscitator Can surmount the factors of medical staff or patients.It can make the CPR more standard andmore effective.MeanwhileitCan raisethe SBP,strokevolume and blood supplv to the heart and brain,and then mcrease the successful rate of CPR.
