Objective:
To explore the causal link of cumulative ecological risk and future orientation with health risk behaviors among higher vocational college students, so as to provide reference for reducing and preventing health risk behaviors among higher vocational college students.
Methods:
A longitudinal follow up study was conducted on 612 students using convenience sampling from 2 vocational colleges in Hunan Province. The Cumulative Ecological Risk Scale, Future Orientation Scale, and Health Risk Behavior Scale were used during three follow up visits (T1: September 2022, T2: June 2023, T3: March 2024), and a cross lagged panel model was constructed to examine the longitudinal causal relationship of cumulative ecological risk, future orientation and health risk behaviors. Analysis of longitudinal intermediary effect between variables by Bootstrap.
Results:
The cumulative ecological risk scores of T1, T2 and T3 among higher vocational college students were (2.94±1.44,2.99±1.63,3.02±1.54), future orientation scores (40.49±4.71,41.51±5.72,41.06±4.35) and health risk behavior scores (3.73±2.01,3.49±2.00,3.23±2.00). The results of repeated measures ANOVA showed that the future orientation score of T2 was higher than that of T1, and the main effect of measurement time was statistically significant ( F=5.09,P<0.01,η 2=0.02). The health risk behavior score of T1 was higher than that of T2, and the health risk behavior score of T2 was higher than that of T3, and the main effect of measurement time was statistically significant ( F=10.12,P<0.01,η 2=0.03).The cross lagged model showed good adaptability, with χ 2/df =7.20 ( P <0.01), relative fitting indicators GFI=0.98, CFI=0.99, TLI=0.96, IFI=0.99, NFI =0.99, and absolute fitting indicator RMSEA =0.06. Among them, the T1, T2 cumulative ecological risk showed negatively predictive effects on T2, T3 future orientation ( β =-0.24, -0.47 ), and T1, T2 cumulative ecological risk positively predicted T2, T3 health risk behavior ( β =0.20, 0.24), while T1, T2 future orientation negatively predicted T2, T3 health risk behavior ( β =-0.25, -0.18) ( P <0.01). Bootstrap test analysis found that T2 future orientation had a longitudinal mediating effect ( β=0.04, P <0.01) on the T1 cumulative ecological risk and T3 health risk behavior.
Conclusions
The accumulation of ecological risk among higher vocational college students can positively predict health risk behaviors, while future orientation can negatively predict healthrisk behaviors. Moreover, future orientation plays a longitudinal mediating role between accumulated ecological risks and health risk behaviors.

Journal of Sichuan University (Medical Sciences) 2025;56(2):324-330
Objective Vascular dementia(VD)is a common cognitive dysfunction associated with cerebrovascular disease. This study is aimed at investigating the therapeutic effect of anisodine hydromide(AH)on VD and the potential antioxidative stress mechanisms involved. Methods A VD model was established in Sprague-Dawley(SD)rats through permanent bilateral common carotid artery occlusion. The rats were divided into a sham group,a VD model group, and AH treatment groups receiving AH at low, medium,or high doses(n=4).The neurological function of the rats in each group was evaluated using the Bederson scale, and limb coordination ability was assessed using the pole climbing test.Superoxide dismutase(SOD)and malondialdehyde(MDA)levels in the serum and brain were measured by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay(ELISA)to assess the level of oxidative stress. In addition, apoptosis was assessed by TUNEL assay, and reactive oxygen species(ROS)levels in neuronal cells were determined using dichloro-dihydro-fluorescein diacetate(DCFH-DA)probe.The potential mechanism of action of AH on M receptors was investigated using M1-M5 inhibitors. Results Compared with the sham group, the nerve function and limb coordination of rats in the VD model group were significantly impaired(P<0.01),and the SOD levels were significantly decreased in the serum([100.70±18.95]U/mL vs.[44.22±7.11]U/mL,P<0.001)and the brain([131.77±8.34]U/mg vs.[84.39±4.10]U/mg,P<0.01),MDA levels were significantly increased in the serum([12.03±1.01]nmol/mL vs.[17.74±1.00]nmol/mL,P<0.001)and the brain([4.41±0.30]nmol/mg vs.[6.17±0.70]nmol/mg,P<0.05).AH treatment significantly improved the neurological function and limb coordination ability of VD rats.In comparison with the VD group, the high-dose AH treatment group,in particular, exhibited the most significant increase in SOD levels in the serum([44.22±7.11]U/mL vs.[98.67±0.86]U/mL,P<0.001)and the brain([84.39±4.10]U/mg vs.[162.83±17.36]U/mg,P<0.001),and the most significant decrease in MDA levels in the serum([17.74±1.00]nmol/mL vs.[6.68±0.06]nmol/mL,P<0.001)and the brain([6.17±0.70]nmol/mg vs.[3.96±0.77]nmol/mg,P<0.01).AH also reduced the number of TUNEL positive cells(P<0.01)in a dose-dependent manner. The percentage of apoptotic cells was(36.10±9.07)%,(9.60±5.63)%,and(3.43±0.92)%,respectively,for AH treatment at low, medium, and high concentrations, indicating that AH had an inhibitory effect on apoptosis.According to findings from the in vitro experiments,AH treatment reduced the MDA content(P<0.01),increased the SOD activity(P<0.01),and decreased the ROS levels of HT22 and NSC-34 cells in a dose-dependent manner.M2 receptor inhibitors could reduce the ROS level in oxidative stress injury, suggesting that AH,as an M receptor antagonist, might exert its effect by inhibiting the M2 receptor. Conclusion AH modulates SOD and MDA levels and reduces oxidative stress injury, thereby improving neurological function and limb coordination and showing potential therapeutic effects in VD.The neuroprotective effects of AH may be related to its antioxidative stress and antiapoptotic mechanisms, and the M2 receptor may be a potential target of its actions. These findings provide an important theoretical basis for the development of new therapeutic strategies for VD.

Aim To prepare tripterygium glycoside nanoparticles and probe into their therapeutic effect on collagen-induced arthritis ( CIA) rats. Methods Tripterygium glycosides polyglycoside nanoparticles were prepared by thin film dispersion method and their quality was assessed. The CIA model was established and drug intervention performed. The body weight, toe swelling degree and arthritis index were measured. The pathological changes of the organs, knee and ankle synovium were observed. The serum levels of kidney function and inflammatory cytokine expression were detected in rats. Results The prepared tripterygium wil-fordii polyglycoside nanoparticles were round particles with uniform distribution and stable properties under electron microscope. Compared with the model group, the swelling of the left and right toes of medication group significantly decreased (P < 0. 01), and the ar-thritis index markedly decreased ( P < 0. 01). Among them, the efficacy of the TG-NPs group was better than that of the TG group. Compared with the normal group, the indexes of heart, spleen, kidney and testis all significantly decreased (P <0. 05, P<0.01). TG-NPs group had a significantly reduced pathological ankle-joint injury in knee cartilage and increased apoptotic synovial cells. Compared with the model group, the serum levels of ALT and BUN and CRE in TG-NPs group were significantly lower (P < 0. 05 ), and IL-1β, TNF-α and IL-6 levels decreased significantly (P <0. 05). Conclusions TG-NPs have good therapeutic effect on CIA through induction of synovial cell apoptosis and decrease of the expression of inflammatory cytokines. By intravenous injection of blood circula-tion, slow and controlled release of drugs can be achieved, the first pass effect caused by oral drug can be avoided, the viscera toxicity can be reduced, which provides an experimental basis for the development of new nanoagents for the treatment of rheumatoid arthritis.

Aim To investigate the mechanism of Banxia Baizhu Tianma Decoction(BBTD)in interfer-ing methamphetamine(MA)addiction using network pharmacology. Methods The mechanism of BBTD intervention in MA addiction was analyzed using net-work pharmacology, and MA-dependent SH-SY5Y cell model was further constructed to observe the effects of BBTD on cell model and PI3K-Akt pathway. Results A total of 88 active ingredients and 583 potential tar-gets of BBTD were screened.KEGG analysis showed that BBTD might intervene in MA addiction through PI3K-Akt,cAMP and other pathways. The molecular docking results showed that key active ingredients ex-hibited strong binding ability with core targets of PI3K-Akt pathway. In vitro experiments showed that MA-de-pendent model cells had shorter synapses, tended to be elliptical in morphology, had blurred cell boundaries, showed typical cell damage morphology, and had high intracellular expression of cAMP(P<0.01)and low expression of 5-HT(P<0.05).BBTD intervention could counteract the above morphology,cAMP,and 5-HT changes, suggesting that it had therapeutic effects on MA-dependent model cells.Western blot showed that MA modeling elevated the p-PI3K/PI3K(P<0.05)and p-Akt/Akt(P<0.01);BBTD inter-vention decreased their relative expression.Conclu-sions Gastrodin and other active ingredients in BBTD have therapeutic effects on MA addiction, and the mechanism may be related to regulation of PI3K-Akt pathway relevant targets.

Chinese Journal of Epidemiology 2023;44(6):917-923
Objective: To analyze the morbidity and mortality trends of thyroid cancer in China from 1990 to 2019, explore the causes of the trends, and predict morbidity and mortality in the future. Methods: The morbidity and mortality data of thyroid cancer in China from 1990 to 2019 were collected from the 2019 Global Burden of Disease database. The Joinpoint regression model was used to describe the change trends. Based on the morbidity and mortality data from 2012 to 2019, a grey model GM (1,1) was constructed to predict the trends in the next ten years. The model was tested by the posterior error method and residual test method. Results: In all populations, men and women, the AAPC values of the crude morbidity rates were 4.15% (95%CI: 3.86%-4.44%, P<0.001), 5.98% (95%CI: 5.65%-6.31%, P<0.001) and 3.23% (95%CI: 2.94%-3.53%, P<0.001) respectively, the AAPC values of age-standardized morbidity rates were 2.47% (95%CI: 2.12%-2.83%, P<0.001), 3.98% (95%CI: 3.68%-4.29%, P<0.001), 1.65% (95%CI: 1.38%-1.93%, P<0.001), the AAPC values of crude mortality rates were 2.09% (95%CI: 1.92%-2.25%, P<0.001), 3.68% (95%CI: 3.45%-3.90%, P<0.001), 0.60% (95%CI: 0.50%-0.71%, P<0.001). The age-standardized mortality rates in men showed a fluctuating trend of first decrease (1990-1994), then increase (1994-2012), and then decrease (2012-2019) (AAPC=1.35%, 95%CI: 1.16%-1.53%, P<0.001). The age-standardized mortality rate in women continuously decreased (AAPC=-1.70%, 95%CI: -1.82%- -1.58%, P<0.001). The GM (1,1) models can be used for medium and long-term predictions. The results of the residual test show that the average relative error values of all models are less than 10.00%, the prediction accuracy values are more than 80.00%, and the prediction effects are good. The results of the posterior error method show that all the prediction results are good except the qualified prediction of the age-standardized morbidity rate in men. In 2029, the crude morbidity rates would increase to 3.57/100 000, 2.78/100 000, and 4.40/100 000, respectively, and the age-standardized incidence rates would increase to 2.38/100 000, 1.89/100 000, and 2.88/100 000, respectively, the crude mortality rates would increase to 0.57/100 000, 0.62/100 000 and 0.53/100 000, and the age-standardized mortality rates would decrease to 0.33/100 000, 0.42/100 000 and 0.27/100 000 in all population, men and women in China. Conclusions: The overall, gender- specific age-standardized mortality rates showed downward trends in the last decade or so, and the prediction results showed that it might further decline. However, the crude morbidity rates, age-standardized and crude mortality rates have been on the rise, and the population aging is becoming increasingly serious in China, which requires close attention and targeted prevention and control measures.
