Objective: To analyze the characteristics and key risk factors of abnormal blood disposal throughout the 2024-2025 blood collection and supply process based on nationwide multi-site monitoring data, develop a comprehensive prevention and control strategy across the entire chain, reduce preventable blood waste, and ensure clinical blood safety. Methods: According to the Guidelines for Haemovigilance (T/CSBT 001-2026), we extracted 74 cases of abnormal blood disposal events reported by the China Blood Transfusion Association′s Blood Safety Monitoring System from January 1 2024, to December 31 2025, and conducted descriptive statistical analysis on the distribution of events, types of deviations, root causes, and classifications of disposal manifestations. Results: A total of 664 adverse events related to blood collection and supply were reported over two years, with 74 cases involving discarded abnormal blood units, accounting for 11.1% of the total. Among these, blood component preparation (40.5%) and blood collection (37.8%) remained traditional high-risk stages. The proportion of blood waste occurring during storage, distribution, and transportation increased from 7.7% in 2024 to 34.3% in 2025. Deviations from standard operating procedures (SOP) by personnel were the primary cause, accounting for 74.3% of cases. Discarded blood units were categorized into four types: compromised closed blood bag systems (40 cases), mainly due to inadequate heat sealing, physical damage, or dropped bags; blood out of the cold chain (12 cases), primarily resulting from blood being left at work sites; imbalanced proportion of preservation solution (10 cases), mostly caused by blood collection volumes exceeding the standard capacity of blood bags; and other causes (12 cases). Conclusion: Human operational errors are the core cause of abnormal blood waste. The collection and preparation stages have long been at high-risk, and the risks in the storage and transportation stages have been increasing year by year. We should focus on standardizing personnel management, improving specialized operation norms such as heat sealing, transportation, and storage, establishing a full-process intelligent cold chain monitoring and multi-node visual verification mechanism, and systematically reducing the occurrence rate of abnormal blood waste through a closed-loop quality intervention system, thereby improving the utilization efficiency of voluntary blood donation resources.

Journal of Preventive Medicine 2026;38(3):237-241
Objective:
To analyze the epidemiological characteristics of pulmonary tuberculosis (PTB) in Jinhua City, Zhejiang Province from 2015 to 2024, so as to provide the evidence for optimizing tuberculosis control strategies.
Methods:
Data of PTB cases in Jinhua City from 2015 to 2024 were collected through the China Disease Prevention and Control Information System. Descriptive epidemiological methods were used to analyze the population, temporal and spatial distribution characteristics of PTB cases. Seasonal index was used to analyze temporal distribution characteristics. The average annual percent change (AAPC) was used to analyze the trends in reported incidence and etiological positivity rate of PTB from 2015 to 2024.
Results:
A total of 34 750 PTB cases were reported in Jinhua City from 2015 to 2024, with an average annual reported incidence of 56.35/105. There were 20 054 cases with positive etiological test results, with a positive rate of 57.71%. The reported incidence of PTB showed an overall declining trend (AAPC=-5.814%, P<0.05), while the etiological positivity rate demonstrated an overall upward trend (AAPC=6.687%, P<0.05). The average annual reported incidence of PTB was 71.29/105 in males, higher than 39.98/105 in females (P<0.05). The reported incidence in both males and females showed a downward trend (AAPC=-5.909%, -6.803%, both P<0.05). The population aged ≥60 years had a higher proportion and reported incidence, which were 40.15% and 134.05/105, respectively. The reported incidence showed downward trends in the groups aged 0-<20 years, 20-<40 years, 40-<60 years, and ≥60 years (AAPC=-11.191%, -10.849%, -6.343%, and -4.006%, all P<0.05). Farmers were the predominant occupation, with 21 584 cases, accounting for 62.11%. PTB was highly prevalent from March to September, with a higher seasonal index in May (116.37%). Lanxi City, Pujiang County and Yiwu City had higher reported incidence, which were 77.85/105, 65.89/105 and 60.77/105, respectively. Except for Pan'an County where the trend in reported incidence was not statistically significant (P>0.05), the reported incidence in other regions showed downward trends, with AAPC values ranging from -9.039% to -1.964% (all P<0.05).
Conclusions
From 2015 to 2024, the reported incidence of PTB in Jinhua City showed an overall declining trend, while the pathogen positivity rate showed an upward trend. PTB was highly prevalent in spring and summer. Males, the elderly and farmers were the key target population for prevention and control. Lanxi City, Pujiang County and Yiwu City were high-incidence areas.

Objective:To evaluate the effect of fluoride on the viability of rat ameloblast HAT-7 cells and calcium concentration in the cells.Methods:HAT-7 cells were exposed to NaF at 0,0.4,0.8,1.6,3.2 and 6.4 mmol/L for 24,48 and 72 h respectively. CCK-8 assay was performed to examine the cells proliferation;the apoptosis rate was determined by flow cytometry;Ca2 +concentration in the cells was detected by laser scanning confocal microscopy. Results:The cell proliferation was increased by NaF at 0.4 mmol/L and 0.8 mmol/L,whereas inhibited at 1.6 mmol/L and above. The effects were in a time-dependent manner.NaF increased apoptosis of the cells and increased Ca2 + concentration in the cells in a concentration-dependent manner. Conclusion:Fluoride at low doses promotes proliferation,at high doses inhibits proliferation of HAT-7 cells.NaF of 1.6 mmol/L or more induces apoptosis of HAT-7 cells and in-duce Ca2 + overloading in the cells.
