Objective:To explore the research status, hotspots, and directions in traditional Chinese medicine treatment for postoperative gastrointestinal dysfunction both domestically and internationally. Methods:The bibliometric software CiteSpace 5.7.R5 was used to visually analyze literature published on the China National Knowledge Infrastructure and Web of Science core collection from establishment until 2022, and to draw the knowledge graph of authors, research institutions, and keywords. Results:After screening by two researchers, a total of 1 012 Chinese articles and 111 English articles were included. The analysis of annual publication volume showed that this field was showing an upward trend both domestically and internationally. The co-occurrence analysis of authors displayed that Hu Kaiwen and Jingwen Yang had the highest number of publications. Institutional co-occurrence analysis indicated that there were relatively few mature and influential teams formed domestically and internationally, and research institutions had limited cross-regional cooperation. Keyword clustering analysis revealed that the research hotspots mainly focused on integrated traditional Chinese and Western medicine nursing, clinical research, and traditional Chinese medicine external treatment methods. Conclusions:The research on the treatment of postoperative gastrointestinal dysfunction with traditional Chinese medicine is mainly concentrated in China, but there are few closely cooperating and stable research teams. Research in this field is still in its developmental stage both domestically and internationally, close cooperation between multiple institutions and authors is needed to form influential teams to conduct in-depth research on the mechanisms and principles of this field, making significant contributions to its development.

Objective:This study aims to analyze the clinical characteristics of elderly patients with lung adenocarcinoma and to construct a predictive model for assessing their survival. Methods:We conducted a retrospective analysis of clinical data sourced from the SEER database for patients aged 60 years or older who were diagnosed with lung adenocarcinoma between 2013 and 2018.Cox regression analysis was employed to identify independent prognostic factors affecting the survival of elderly lung adenocarcinoma patients, leading to the development of a nomogram model. The discriminative ability and calibration of the nomogram were assessed using the C-index and calibration curve. Each patient's total risk score was calculated based on the predictive model, and patients were stratified according to the quartiles of their total risk scores. The Kaplan-Meier method and Log-rank test were utilized to evaluate survival differences among the identified risk groups. Results:Among 38, 852 lung adenocarcinoma patients, 17, 200 were males and 21, 652 were females.Significant differences in survival rates were observed among lung adenocarcinoma patients based on age, gender, marital status, histological grade, TNM stage, tumor size, and the presence of bone, brain, or liver metastases, as well as the type of treatment received, including surgical treatment, radiation therapy, and chemotherapy(all P<0.001).The C-index of the training model was 0.815(95% CI: 0.811-0.819), while the validation model yielded a C-index of 0.810(95% CI: 0.804-0.816).The prediction model demonstrated higher Area Under Curve(AUC)values of 0.746, 0.768, and 0.775 for 1-year, 3-year, and 5-year survival in the modeling dataset, respectively, and 0.747, 0.770, and 0.777 in the validation dataset.Furthermore, the risk stratification model effectively distinguished patients at varying levels of risk( P<0.001). Conclusions:Age, gender, marital status, histological grade, TNM stage, tumor size, and the presence of bone, brain, and liver metastases, along with treatment modalities such as surgery, radiotherapy, and chemotherapy, were identified as independent prognostic factors for elderly patients with lung adenocarcinoma. The risk prediction model developed in this study effectively differentiates between patients at varying levels of risk, which holds significant implications for predicting treatment responses in elderly lung adenocarcinoma patients and advancing the practice of precision medicine.

Normalizing inflamed soils including reactive oxygen species (ROS), nitric oxide (NO), cell-free DNA, and regulating inflammation-related seeds such as macrophages, neutrophils, fibroblasts, represent a promising strategy to maintain synovial tissue homeostasis for rheumatoid arthritis (RA) treatment. Herein, ROS scavenging amphiphilic block copolymer PEGylated bilirubin and NO-scavenging PEGylated o-phenylenediamine were fabricated to self-assemble into a dually responsive nanoparticle loaded with JAK inhibitor notopterol (Not@BR/oPDA-PEG, NBOP NPs). The simultaneous ROS and NO depletion combined with JAK-STAT pathway inhibition could not only promote M2 polarization to reduce further ROS and NO generation, but also decrease cytokines and chemokines to prevent immune cell recruitment. Specifically, NBOP NPs responded to high level ROS and NO, and disintegrated to release notopterol in inflamed joints as the hydrophobic heads BR and oPDA were transformed into hydrophilic ones. The released notopterol could inhibit the JAK-STAT pathway of inflammatory cells to reduce the secretion of pro-inflammatory cytokines and chemokines. This strategy represented an effective way to regulate RA soils and seeds through breaking the positive feedback loop of inflammation aggravation, achieving an excellent anti-RA efficacy in a collagen-induced arthritis rat model. Taken together, our work offered a reference to adjust RA soils and seeds for enhanced RA treatment.

Objective:To explore the application effect of early intervention of pulmonary rehabilitation management in emergency department-ward linkage under multi-disciplinary team (MDT) mode in patients with acute exacerbation of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (AECOPD).Methods:Using convenient sampling method, 124 AECOPD patients admitted to Department of Emergency of Qilu Hospital of Shandong University (Qingdao) were selected as the study objects. According to the admission order, 62 patients admitted from March to October 2020 were taken as the control group, and 62 patients admitted from March to October 2021 were taken as the observation group. The control group was given routine treatment and rehabilitation guidance. On the basis of this, the observation group received the early lung rehabilitation management of emergency-ward linkage under MDT mode. The arterial oxygen saturation, lung function index (FEV 1, FEV 1%Pred, FEV 1/FVC), 6-minute walk test (evaluation only after intervention) and quality of life of patients were evaluated before and after intervention. Results:Finally, 60 patients in each group completed the study. After the intervention, the arterial oxygen saturation, the score of quality of life, 6-minute walk test and FEV 1, FEV 1%Pred, FEV 1/FVC of patients in observation group were 0.93 ± 0.04, (29.68 ± 4.87) points, (341.93 ± 46.55) m, and (1.86 ± 0.68) L, (66.13 ± 8.96)%, (68.2 ± 58.53)%, respectively. And in the control group, they were 0.91 ± 0.04, (35.83 ± 2.94) points, (268.75 ± 50.78) m, and (1.50 ± 0.66) L, (61.70 ± 7.16)%, (64.10 ± 8.42) %, respectively. The observation group was significantly better than the control group ( t values were -8.23 to 8.37, all P<0.01). Conclusions:Early intervention of pulmonary rehabilitation by emergency-ward linkage under MDT mod can effectively improve arterial oxygen saturation, pulmonary function, exercise ability and quality of life of patients with AECOPD.

Background:
Classical swine fever (CSF) is a severe infectious disease of pigs that causes significant economic losses to the swine industry.
Objectives:
This study developed a solid-phase blocking enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (spbELISA) method for the specific detection of antibodies against the CSF virus (CSFV) in porcine serum samples.
Methods:
A spbELISA method was developed based on the recombinant E2 expressed in Escherichia coli. The specificity of this established spbELISA method was evaluated using reference serum samples positive for antibodies against other common infectious diseases. The stability and sensitivity were evaluated using an accelerated thermostability test.
Results:
The spbELISA successfully detected the antibody levels in swine vaccinated with the C-strain of CSFV. In addition, the detection ability of spbELISA for CSFV antibodies was compared with that of other commercial ELISA kits and validated using an indirect immunofluorescence assay. The results suggested that the spbELISA provides an alternative, stable, and rapid serological detection method suitable for the large-scale screening of CSFV serum antibodies.
Conclusions
The spbELISA has practical applications in assessing the vaccination status of large pig herds.

Magnetically controlled growing rods have been used to treat early-onset scoliosis for the last 9 years; however, few studies have been published, with only short-term follow-up. The aim of the present study is to systematically review the outcomes of magnetically controlled growing rods in the treatment of early-onset scoliosis with a minimum of 2-year follow-up. Studies were included if patients with early-onset scoliosis (scoliosis diagnosed before 10 years of age) underwent implantation of magnetically controlled growing rods with a minimum of 2-year follow-up. The literature review and data extraction followed the established preferred reporting items for systematic review and meta-analysis guidelines. Data of distraction frequency, number of distractions, distracted length, Cobb angle, kyphosis, T1–T12 length, and T1–S1 length preoperatively, postoperatively, and at final follow-up were collected. Data regarding complications and unplanned reoperations were also extracted. The mean values of these parameters were calculated, or pooled meta-analysis was performed if available. Ten articles were included in this systematic review, with a total of 116 patients and a follow-up period between 23 and 61 months. The mean preoperative Cobb angle and kyphosis angle were 60.1° and 38.0°, respectively, and improved to 35.4° and 26.1° postoperatively. At final follow-up, the Cobb and kyphosis angles were maintained at 36.9° and 36.0°, respectively. The average preoperative T1–T12 and T1–S1 lengths were 180.6 mm and 293.6 mm, respectively, and increased to 198.3 mm and 320.3 mm postoperatively. T1–T12 and T1–S1 lengths were 212.3 mm and 339.3 mm at final follow-up, respectively. The overall rate of patients with complications was 48% (95% confidence interval [CI], 0.38–0.58) and unplanned reoperation 44% (95% CI, 0.33–0.55) after sensitivity analysis. The current evidence from different countries with a minimum of a 2-year follow-up suggests that magnetically controlled growing rods are an effective technique to treat pediatric scoliosis and promote spine growth. However, nearly half of patients still developed complications or required unplanned reoperations.
