Sinisan is a classical prescription developed and applied by ancient medical experts and it is first recorded in the Treatise on Cold Damage written by ZHANG Zhongjing in the Eastern Han Dynasty. Later physicians have modified this prescription based on this original one. The bibliometrics methods were used to analyze the key information and research trend of Sinisan. According to the inclusion and exclusion criteria， 69 pieces of effective data were extracted， involving 67 ancient traditional Chinese medicine （TCM） books. The results showed that the name， composition， and decocting methods of Sinisan in later generations were inherited from the original record in the Treatise on Cold Damage. The original plants of medicinal materials used in Sinisan are basically clear. We recommend Bupleuri Radix as the dried root of Bupleurem scorzonerifolium， Paeoniae Radix Alba as the dried root of Paeonia lactiflora， Aurantii Fructus as the dried fruit of Citrus aurantium， Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma as the dry root and rhizome of Glycyrrhiza uralensis. Raw materials of Bupleuri Radix and Paeoniae Radix Alba， Aurantii Fructus stir-fried with bran， and stir-fried Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma should be used for preparation of Sinisan. According to measurement system in the Han Dynasty， a bag of Sinisan is composed of 1.25 g Bupleuri Radix， 1.25 g Paeoniae Radix Alba， 1.25 g Aurantii Fructus， and 1.25 g Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma. The materials should be grounded into coarse powder and taken with a proper amount of rice soup， 3 times a day. Sinisan has the effects of regulating qi movement and harmonizing the liver and spleen. It can be used for treating reversal cold in limbs and cold damage. In modern clinical practice， Sinisan can be used to treat chronic gastritis， irritable bowel syndrome， and dyspepsia. The above research results provide scientific reference for the future research and development of Sinisan.

Recent studies have indicated that the expression of ubiquitin-specific protease 51 (USP51), a novel deubiquitinating enzyme (DUB) that mediates protein degradation as part of the ubiquitin‒proteasome system (UPS), is associated with tumor progression and therapeutic resistance in multiple malignancies. However, the underlying mechanisms and signaling networks involved in USP51-mediated regulation of malignant phenotypes remain largely unknown. The present study provides evidence of USP51's functions as the prominent DUB in chemoresistant triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC) cells. At the molecular level, ectopic expression of USP51 stabilized the 78 kDa Glucose-Regulated Protein (GRP78) protein through deubiquitination, thereby increasing its expression and localization on the cell surface. Furthermore, the upregulation of cell surface GRP78 increased the activity of ATP binding cassette subfamily B member 1 (ABCB1), the main efflux pump of doxorubicin (DOX), ultimately decreasing its accumulation in TNBC cells and promoting the development of drug resistance both in vitro and in vivo. Clinically, we found significant correlations among USP51, GRP78, and ABCB1 expression in TNBC patients with chemoresistance. Elevated USP51, GRP78, and ABCB1 levels were also strongly associated with a poor patient prognosis. Importantly, we revealed an alternative intervention for specific pharmacological targeting of USP51 for TNBC cell chemosensitization. In conclusion, these findings collectively indicate that the USP51/GRP78/ABCB1 network is a key contributor to the malignant progression and chemotherapeutic resistance of TNBC cells, underscoring the pivotal role of USP51 as a novel therapeutic target for cancer management.

To explore the effects of different exercise prescriptions on glycemic metabolism in East Asian patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) and to compare the differences in the impact of population characteristics and exercise components on glycemic metabolism.

Objective To evaluate the environmental radioactive safety level in China, monitor the radioactivity of strontium-90 (⁹⁰Sr) in seafood from selected marine regions of China, and optimize the di-(2-ethylhexyl)phosphoric acid (HDEHP) extraction chromatography method for determining Sr-90 in seafood. Methods In 2023, seafoods of fish, shrimp, shellfish, and seaweed were collected from the Shandong Province (Bohai Sea and Yellow Sea) and Hainan Province (South China Sea). The levels of Sr in the samples were determined by inductively coupled plasma atomic emission spectrometer (ICP-AES). The ⁹⁰Sr separation were performed using HDEHP extraction chromatography, while the recovery of ⁹⁰Sr were determined by the gravitmetry with the assistant of ICP-AES. Results The content of strontium in seafoods varies greatly, and excessive strontium and calcium in seafood may lead to overestimated recovery due to insufficient leaching during chromatographic separation by HDEHP extraction. Therefore, the yttrium content in the eluent should be analyzed by ICP . The radioactivity of ⁹⁰Sr in seafood from the sea areas in Shandong Province was 0.22-1.85 Bq/kg (dry weight), and that of seafood from Hainan Province was 0.19-1.82 Bq/kg (dry weight). Conclusion For the analysis of shirmp and seaweed samples, the recovery rate of ⁹⁰Sr should be analyzed using both gravimetry and ICP-AES. There is no significant linear correlation between total Sr and ⁹⁰Sr in seafood. There is no significant difference in ⁹⁰Sr radioactivity between the seafood samples collected from Shandong and Hainan. The ⁹⁰Sr radioactivity levels of all 28 samples are below the limit specified in the Limited concentrations of radioactive materials in foods (GB 14882—1994) and are within the range of environmental background fluctuations.

Objective To organize a nationwide interlaboratory comparison for measurement of gross α and gross β radioactivity in water, and improve the laboratory analysis of gross α and gross β radioactivity in water. Methods A unified comparison protocol was developed by the organizers. The groundwater with high natural radioactivity was used as water sample and distributed randomly to the participating laboratories. The participating laboratories used routine analytical methods to measure the samples and provided information such as analytical results, original records, and test reports. The results were evaluated using z-score. Results A total of 76 laboratories participated in the comparison, all employing the evaporation concentration-α/β counting method. Among them, 69 laboratories achieved |z| ≤ 2 for both gross α and gross β radioactivity measurements, and 32 laboratories achieved |z| ≤ 0.50 for both gross α and gross β radioactivity measurements. There were 69 laboratories with qualified results and 30 laboratories with excellent results, yielding a qualified rate of 90.8% and an excellent rate of 39.5%. Seven laboratories showed unqualified results and the unqualified rate was 9.2%. Conclusion Most laboratories have the ability to analyze gross α and gross β radioactivity in water. The main reasons for the deviation in comparison results are calibration efficiency, errors in the total residue mass caused by improper water sample processing operations. By analyzing the main technical problems existed in unqualified laboratories, their ability for measurement of gross α and gross β radioactivity in water has been improved.

Objective To analyze the gene expression of patients with head and neck squamous cell carcinoma(HNSCC)using bioinformatics methods,identifying immune-related genes that impact prognosis and exploring new therapeutic targets for HNSCC.Methods This study was based on The Cancer Genome Atlas(TCGA)and Gene Expression Omnibus database to download RNA sequencing data from HNSCC and non-tumor tissue samples.Differential expression gene analysis and weighted gene co-expression network analysis were performed respectively to screen immune-related genes.Univariate Cox regression,Lasso regression and multifactor Cox regression analyses were used to identify the genes significantly associated with HNSCC prognosis,and on this basis,the risk score of each TCGA sample was calculated and the correlation prognosis model was constructed.The sample was divided into high and low risk groups according to the median risk score.Gene differential expression analysis was performed in high and low risk groups to reveal gene expression changes under different immune states,and pathway enrichment analysis was performed for differential genes.Results Screening identified MS4A1,IL12RB2,DMBT1 and LTF as immune-related genes affecting the prognosis of HNSCC.Among them,MS4A1 and IL12RB2 were highly expressed in HNSCC,and DMBT1 and LTF were lowly expressed.Risk score of HNSCC death group was significantly higher than that of the survival group.Risk score could be used as an independent prognostic indicator for HNSCC.Differential genes in high and low risk groups were significantly enriched in immune response-regulating cell surface receptor signaling pathways.Conclusion MS4A1,IL12RB2,DMBT1 and LTF can be used for risk assessment,disease surveillance and efficacy evaluation of HNSCC.The immune response is crucial in the prognosis of HNSCC patients,and further studies are expected to drive the development of new therapeutic strategies.

Objective:To analyze the epidemiological characteristics and influencing factors of single-cigarette use and dual cigarette-cigar use in China.Methods:This study was a cross-sectional study that selected 85 638 urban and rural residents who met the inclusion criteria from the 2018 China Health Literacy Survey as research subjects. An analysis was conducted on 21 849 users of cigarettes and cigars among them. Due to the small number of individuals who exclusively used cigars (247 cases), the research subjects were divided into two categories: exclusive cigarette users and dual users of cigarettes and cigars. The groups were categorized by age (18-34 years, 35-54 years, ≥55 years), gender (male, female), education level (primary school and below, junior high school and high school, university and above) and annual household income (<20 000 yuan, 20 000-<80 000 yuan, ≥80 000 yuan) to compare the tobacco usage rate and conduct subgroup analyses for each subgroup. Multivariate logistic regression analysis was employed, incorporating general demographic characteristic information to explore the influencing factors of exclusive cigarette use and dual use of cigarettes and cigars, respectively.Results:The rate of exclusive cigarette use in our country was 24.3%, while the dual use rate of cigarettes and cigars was 0.9%. The exclusive cigarette use rate and the dual use rate of cigarettes and cigars among males were significantly higher than those among females (48.25% vs 2.48%, and 1.84% vs 0.06%) (both P<0.001). For males, the high-risk factors for exclusive cigarette use included living in urban areas ( OR: 1.37, 95% CI: 1.23-1.54), being Han ethnicity ( OR: 1.73, 95% CI: 1.51-1.98), and having an annual household income ≥20 000 yuan ( OR: 1.54, 95% CI: 1.38-1.82) while having a junior high school education or higher was a protective factor ( OR: 0.68, 95% CI: 0.52-0.90). Age≥35 years ( OR: 3.36, 95% CI: 2.62-4.32) and having a junior high school education or higher ( OR: 1.30, 95% CI: 1.02-1.67) were risk factors for dual use of cigarettes and cigars in males. Among females, living in urban areas ( OR: 1.53, 95% CI: 1.19-1.97) and being Han ethnicity ( OR: 5.96, 95% CI: 4.47-7.96) were risk factors for exclusive cigarette use, while having a university education or higher was a protective factor ( OR: 0.28, 95% CI: 0.18-0.42). However, for female dual use of cigarettes and cigars, no significant effects were observed for any demographic characteristics. Conclusions:The use rate of cigarettes alone in China is significantly higher than that of cigarette-cigar dual use, and the rates of cigarette use alone and cigarette-cigar dual use in men are significantly higher than those in women. Tobacco use is being affected by sociodemographic factors, among which place of residence, ethnicity and education level are the main influencing factors of cigarette use alone, and gender, age and education level are the main influencing factors of cigarette-cigar dual use.

Objective:To develop a method for determining 14C in seafood using a tube combustion furnace (or oxygen bomb combustion devices) coupled with liquid scintillation counting (LSC), in order to accurately determine 14C in seafood. Methods:Four categories of seafood samples (i.e., fish, crustaceans, mollusks, and algae) were collected. They were then subjected to high-temperature oxidation using a tube combustion furnace or oxygen bomb combustion devices to isolate CO 2, followed by an analysis of the radioactivity concentration of 14C using LSC. The combustion conditions were optimized by investigating the heating nodes and rates in the oxidation combustion furnace, and the CO 2 collection conditions were optimized by placing a NaOH absorption solution in the oxygen bomb combustion devices. Additionally, the optimal measurement conditions were determined by comparing the effects of varying scintillation cocktails and the dark adaptation time of two preparation methods, i. e., the adsorption and suspension method. Results:When a tubular combustion furnace was used for oxidation and combustion, the optimal heating rate of the sample pyrolysis temperature zone was determined at 1.5℃/min. In this case, the combustion efficiency of various seafood could reach over 95%. When the oxygen bomb combustion devices were employed, placing NaOH solutions both inside and at the exhaust end increased absorption efficiency by 10% compared to the traditional practice of placing a NaOH solution only at the exhaust end. Samples prepared using the absorption method should be kept in the dark for at least 10 h before measurement using LSC, while samples prepared with the suspension methods should be kept for at least 20 h. The results obtained using two preprocessing devices and two sample preparation method were consistent, with a detection limit of 9.10 Bq/kg (dry samples). Compared to the suspension method (The relative standard deviation of the results obtained by two preprocessing devices were 9.00% and 8.27%), the absorption method (the corresponding relative standard deviation were 3.61% and 3.29%) exhibited higher precision in repeated measurements.Conclusions:The aforementioned pretreatment devices and sample preparation method are suitable for determining 14C in seafood.

Chronic wounds, defined as persistent failure to heal due to specific etiological factors, remain a major clinical challenge. Current standard interventions such as negative pressure wound therapy are limited by complications like hypergranulation and poor patient compliance, while emerging stem cell-based therapies carry potential tumorigenic risks. Consequently, identifying strategies to safely and effectively accelerate wound healing continues to be a critical focus in contemporary clinical research. Platelet-rich plasma derived extracellular vesicles (PRP-EVs) are extracellular vesicles released by platelets after activation. They have the characteristics of autologous origin, higher safety, and more mild and convenient clinical application. Studies have shown that PRP-EVs are rich in bioactive molecules such as lipids, proteins and RNA, which have outstanding performance in regulating wound inflammation, promoting angiogenesis, enhancing cell migration and proliferation, and are expected to become an effective tool for the treatment of chronic wounds. This review discusses the methods, mechanisms of action, and challenges associated with the use of PRP-EVs in chronic wound management, providing a foundation for future research and clinical applications in this field.

Objective To explore the effect of resistance exercise on glycolipid metabolism in over-weight or obese people,with the aim of providing reference for the clinical development of appropriate resist-ance exercise programs.Methods PubMed,Cochrane Library,EmBase,Web of Science,CNKI,Wanfang Data Knowledge Service Platform and VIP database were systematically searched to obtain the relevant litera-ture on the effects of resistance exercise on glucose and lipid metabolism from the establishment of the library to December 31,2023 in overweight and obese populations.The type of literature was limited to randomized controlled studies in which the exercise intervention included resistance exercise in the test group but did not include resistance exercise in the control group.The literature was screened by 2 researchers according to in-clusion and exclusion criteria and relevant data were extracted.Meta-analysis of included literature was per-formed using RevMan 5.3 software,and publication bias was assessed using funnel plots.Results A total of 17 papers and 700 study subjects were included,with 351 cases in the test group,and 349 cases in the control group.Meta-analysis results showed that compared with the control group,the glycosylated hemoglobin of the test group with resistance exercise[SMD(95％CI)=-0.30(-0.53--0.07),P=0.010],fasting blood glucose[SMD(95％CI)=-0.58(-0.90--0.26),P＜0.001],insulin re-sistance index[SMD(95％CI)=-0.90(-1.42--0.38),P＜0.001],and low-density lipoprotein cholesterol(LDL-C)[SMD(95％CI)=-0.28(-0.53--0.04),P=0.020]levels were reduced.Subgroup analysis showed that the glucose metabolism levels of the test group with only resistance exercise and a combination of resistance-anaerobic exercise were significantly lower than those of the control group(both P＜0.05).The heterogeneity of the effect of resistance exercise on glucose metabolism in Asian popu-lations(I2=57％)was smaller than that in Caucasion(I2=76％)and other populations(I2=94％),and the level of decrease in glucose metabolism indexes was significant[SMD(95％CI)=-1.15(-1.73--0.57),P＜0.001].Conclusion Resistance exercise can significantly reduce the level of glycolipid me-tabolism indexes in overweight or obese people.
