Objective To observe the ultrasonic manifestations of aggressive angiomyxoma(AAM).Methods Four patients with newly diagnosed AAM and 3 with recurrent AAM confirmed by pathology were retrospectively enrolled, and the ultrasonic manifestations were analyzed. Results Among 7 cases of AAM,the lesions located in subcutaneous regions of perineum in 3 cases,in both perineum and pelvic cavity in 2 cases,in pelvic cavity and in cervix each 1 case, with a median maximum diameter of 7.6 cm.The lesions mainly manifested as heterogeneous hypoechoic, scattered cord-like moderate/moderate-hyperechoic inside, regular or lobulated shape with finger-like protrusions, with clear boundary or unclear boundary with adjacent vagina/rectum.Layered structure could be observed with gray-scale ultrasound and CDFI.Conclusion AAM mainly affected pelvis and perineal region, often manifested as large lesion tended to infiltrate surrounding areas and form finger-like protrusions, most with clear boundaries and interior heterogeneous hypoechoic regions, also the characteristic stratified structures.

Energy metabolism disorders are a critical factor contributing to cognitive dysfunction.Astrocytes,as key suppliers of energy substrates to neurons, help to sustain normal cognitive function via their extensive energy metabolism activities in the brain, coordinated by various energy supply mechanisms.Imbalances in astrocyte-neuron energy metabolism coupling lead to abnormal neuronal activity, thereby driving the pathogenesis and progression of Alzheimer's disease(AD).It is therefore essential to investigate the pathological mechanisms and therapeutic targets associated with AD from the perspective of energy metabolism to support the future development of AD treatments and interventions.Traditional Chinese medicine(TCM),characterized by multi-component and multi-target effects, has shown potential efficacy for regulating cerebral energy metabolism, suggesting that modulating brain energy metabolism may represent a significant pathway by which TCM might ameliorate AD.This review systematically elucidates the mechanistic role of the dysregulation of astrocyte-neuron bioenergetic coupling in the pathogenesis and progression of AD,and critically evaluates recent advancements in therapeutic interventions mediated by TCM.

With the introduction and implementation of relevant policies such as the outline of "Healthy China 2030" plan and Healthy China Action (2019-2030), the health service function of traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) has been valued and developed. TCM health literacy has become one of the important ways to promote the health of the whole population. TCM health preservation literacy refers to the ability of individuals to obtain TCM health preservation concepts, knowledge and technical services, and to make correct health care decisions to promote their own health by using knowledge and information as well as medical and technical services. According to survey data from the National Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine, the compliance rate of TCM health literacy among Chinese citizens has increased from 8.55% in 2014 to 24.62% in 2023, and is still on the rise. However, there are differences in the level of TCM health literacy among different regions, genders, and occupational groups. This article retrieves relevant literature published on CNKI and Wanfang Data from the establishment of the databases until December 2024. The content is sorted out using thematic analysis, and a review is conducted on the concept, evaluation tools, current status, and influencing factors of TCM health literacy. This article provides a reference for enhancing public health awareness and improving the level of TCM health literacy.

Pancreatic cancer has a concealed onset and poor prognosis, and surgical resection is the main treatment method.Neoadjuvant therapy may improve the rate of negative resection margin and prolong overall survival of patients with pancreatic cancer.Functional and quantitative imaging can non-invasively reflect tumor microenvironment characteristics related to chemotherapy resistance, providing a new perspective for evaluating and predicting the efficacy of neoadjuvant therapy for pancreatic cancer. The research progresses in functional and quantitative imaging for evaluating and predicting the efficacy of neoadjuvant therapy of pancreatic cancer were reviewed in this article.

Objective:This report analyzed the epidemiological characteristics of adenovirus enteritis in hospitalized children based on data from a nationwide multicenter study. Methods:We analyzed patient admission records of children hospitalized for adenoviral enteritis from the FUTang Update medical Records (FUTURE) database. Data were collected from 22 tertiary pediatric hospitals between January 2016 and December 2021. The study focused on identifying epidemiological trends and assessing the disease burden. Results:A total of 1 638 children were hospitalized for adenovirus gastroenteritis, accounting for 0.03% (1 638/5 465 249) of all hospitalizations in this age group and 2.88% (1 638/56 859) of diarrhea-related hospitalizations. The male-to-female ratio was 1.47∶1, with more males affected across all age groups, years, and regions. The majority of hospitalizations (77.41%) occurred among children aged 7 months to 2 years, who also represented the highest proportion (0.070%) of hospitalizations within their age group. Additionally, the number of hospitalizations increased annually from 2016 to 2021, with a noticeable rise in admissions during the summer and autumn months (July-October). Two-thirds of the patients had no significant extraintestinal comorbidities, while approximately one-fifth developed respiratory comorbidities such as pneumonia or acute bronchitis. The median length of hospital stay was 5 days (IQR 3.75-6), and the median hospitalization cost was 4 582.56 RMB (IQR 3 261.52-6 256.87).Conclusions:This study highlights adenovirus gastroenteritis as a significant cause of diarrhea-related hospitalizations in children in China, particularly among those aged 7 months to 2 years. Hospitalization rates were notably higher in males, with a peak in admissions during July to October. Most children experienced no extraintestinal comorbidities.

China Pharmacy 2024;35(23):2883-2888
OBJECTIVE To investigate the effects of different drying aids on the hygroscopic property of extract powder of modified Liujunzi decoction (MLJZD),and screen the best drying aid. METHODS MLJZD extract was mixed with β-cyclodextrin,microcrystalline cellulose, lactose, arabic gum, maltodextrin, corn starch, mannitol, dextrin, soluble starch and pre-gelatinized starch at the mass ratio of 1∶0.3 and 1∶0.5,respectively. The extract powder was prepared after vacuum drying. Physical fingerprints were established with 8 physical indexes, including moisture content, bulk density,vibrating-solid density, gap rate,Carr index,Hausner ratio, angle of rest and hygroscopicity, and then similarity evaluation was performed. The matrix hotspot map was drawn to analyze the influence of physical indexes on hygroscopicity. The moisture absorption rate of MLJZD extract powder was measured at room temperature for 2,4,8,10 h and 1,2,3,7 d. The moisture absorption rate-time curve was drawn, and the best auxiliary materials were selected by comparison. RESULTS The similarity evaluation results of physical fingerprint showed that the prepared MLJZD extract powder were stable and the similarities were above 0.90. The matrix hotspot analysis showed that there was significant correlation between bulk density and vibratory density and the moisture absorption rate of the MLJZD extract powder (P<0.05). The moisture absorption rate-time curve analysis showed that the moisture absorption rate of MLJZD extract powder prepared with the mass ratio of 1∶0.5 was lower than prepared with the mass ratio of 1∶0.3. Under both ratios, lactose showed the best drying aid effect, followed by soluble starch and mannitol. CONCLUSIONS Lactose,as the drying aid (under the mass ratio of 1∶0.5),can obviously improve the hygroabsorbance effect of the extract powder of MLJZD,which provides a reference for the selection of auxiliary materials for MLJZD solid preparations.
