Bone is a highly calcified and vascularized tissue. The vascular system plays a vital role in supporting bone growth and repair, such as the provision of nutrients, growth factors, and metabolic waste transfer. Moreover, the additional functions of the bone vasculature, such as the secretion of various factors and the regulation of bone-related signaling pathways, are essential for maintaining bone health. In the bone microenvironment, bone tissue cells play a critical role in regulating angiogenesis, including osteoblasts, bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells (BMSCs), and osteoclasts. Osteogenesis and bone angiogenesis are closely linked. The decrease in osteogenesis and bone angiogenesis caused by aging leads to osteoporosis. Long noncoding RNAs (lncRNAs) are involved in various physiological processes, including osteogenesis and angiogenesis. Recent studies have shown that lncRNAs could mediate the crosstalk between angiogenesis and osteogenesis. However, the mechanism by which lncRNAs regulate angiogenesis‒osteogenesis crosstalk remains unclear. In this review, we describe in detail the ways in which lncRNAs regulate the crosstalk between osteogenesis and angiogenesis to promote bone health, aiming to provide new directions for the study of the mechanism by which lncRNAs regulate bone metabolism.

This paper summarized Professor BU He's clinical experience in the integrative internal and external treatment of pediatric functional constipation. He believes that dysfunction of the spleen in transportation leads to impaired function of the sanjiao （三焦） and intestinal obstruction， which constitutes the core pathogenesis of pediatric functional constipation. The treatment emphasizes regulating the spleen and harmonizing the pivot， as well as unblocking the bowel and eliminating stagnation. An integrated approach combining internal and external therapies is advocated. Internally， Chinese herbal medicine， primarily Modified Sijunzi Decoction and Shaoyao Gancao Decoction （四君子汤合芍药甘草汤加减） is used to regulate the internal organs. Externally， pediatric tuina and moxibustion on qi interlocking are employed. Together， these methods fortify the spleen and facilitate transportation， restoring the smooth function of the sanjiao pivot， and ensuring intestinal patency， thereby relieving constipation.

BACKGROUND: Huaier granule is an important medicinal fungus extract widely used in cancer treatment. Previous retrospective studies have reported its effectiveness in breast cancer patients, but the imbalanced baseline characteristics of participants could have biased the results. Therefore, this retrospective study aimed to examine the efficacy of Huaier granule on the prognosis of breast cancer patients. METHODS: In this single-center cohort study, breast cancer patients diagnosed and treated at the Guangdong Provincial Hospital of Chinese Medicine between 2009 and 2017 were selected. The data were retrospectively analyzed and divided into two groups according to whether the patients received Huaier granules. The propensity score matching (PSM) method was used to eliminate selection bias. The disease-free survival (DFS) and overall survival (OS) for these groups were compared using the Kaplan-Meier method and the Cox regression. RESULTS: This study included 214 early invasive breast cancer patients, 107 in the Huaier group and 107 in the control group. In the Kaplan-Meier analysis, the 2-year and 5-year DFS rates were significantly different in the Huaier group and control group (hazard ratio [HR], 0.495; 95% confidence interval [CI], 0.257-0.953; P = 0.023). The 2-year and 5-year OS rates were also significantly different (HR, 0.308; 95% CI, 0.148-0.644; P = 0.001). On multivariable Cox regression, Huaier granule was associated with improved DFS (HR, 0.440; 95% CI, 0.223-0.868; P = 0.018) and OS (HR, 0.236; 95% CI, 0.103-0.540; P = 0.001). CONCLUSION In this retrospective study, Huaier granules improved the DFS and OS of early invasive breast cancer patients, providing real-world evidence for further prospective studies on treating breast cancer with Huaier granules.

BACKGROUND: Whether adherence to a healthy lifestyle is associated with a lower risk of developing pneumonia and a better long-term prognosis remains unclear. This study aimed to investigate associations of individual and combined lifestyle factors (LFs) with the incidence risk and long-term prognosis of pneumonia hospitalization. METHODS: Using data from the China Kadoorie Biobank study, we used the multistate models to investigate the role of five high-risk LFs, including smoking, excessive alcohol drinking, unhealthy dietary habits, physical inactivity, and unhealthy body shape, alone or in combination in the transitions from a generally healthy state at baseline to pneumonia hospitalization or cardiovascular disease (CVD, regarded as a reference outcome), and subsequently to mortality. RESULTS: Most of the five high-risk LFs were associated with increased risks of transitions from baseline to pneumonia and from pneumonia to death, but with different risk estimates. The greater the number of high-risk LFs, the higher the risk of developing pneumonia and long-term mortality risk after pneumonia, with the strength of associations comparable to that of LFs and CVD. Compared to participants with 0-1 high-risk LF, the adjusted hazard ratios (HRs) and 95% confidence intervals (CIs) for transitions from baseline to pneumonia and from pneumonia to death in those with five high-risk LFs were 1.43 (1.28-1.60) and 1.98 (1.61-2.42), respectively. Correspondingly, the respective HRs (95% CIs) for transitions from baseline to CVD and from CVD to death were 2.00 (1.89-2.11) and 1.44 (1.30-1.59), respectively. The risk estimates changed slightly when further adjusting for the presence of major chronic diseases. CONCLUSION In this Chinese population, unhealthy LFs were associated with an increased incidence and long-term mortality risk of pneumonia.

Objective : To explore the expression of prohibitin2(PHB2) in breast cancer and its effect on the biological behaviors of tumor cells. Methods : Immunohistochemistry was used to detect the expression of PHB2 protein in breast cancer tissues and its relationship with clinicopathologic features. Breast cancer stable transient cell lines were constructed with knockdown and overexpression ofPHB2, respectively. The effects of PHB2 on cell proliferation, migration and invasion ability were detected by clone formation assay, scratch assay and Transwell assay. Western blot(WB) was used to detect the effects of PHB2 on the expression of epithelial-mesenchymal transition(EMT)-related markers, including E-cadherin, N-cadherin, Snail family transcriptional repressor 1(Snail) protein, Vimentin, and Claudin-1. The effect of PHB2 on tumorigenicityin vivowas detected by subcutaneous tumor formation assay in nude mice. Results: The result of immunohistochemical showed that PHB2 was highly expressed in breast cancer and the expression of PHB2 was significantly positive correlated with tumor size, human epidermal growth factor receptor-2(HER-2) status and proliferation index Ki-67 levels(P<0.05). Clone formation assay, scratch assay and Transwell assay revealed that knockdown ofPBH2significantly inhibited the proliferation, migration and invasion ability of breast cancer cells(P<0.01), while the overexpression ofPHB2significantly promoted cell proliferation, migration and invasion(P<0.01). The result of subcutaneous tumor formation experiment in nude mice revealed a significant decrease in tumor volume and weight in knockdownPHB2mice(P<0.000 1), whilePHB2overexpression tumors significantly increased in volume and weight(P<0.001).WB assay showed that the protein expression of epithelial marker E-cadherin increased, while the expressions of mesenchymal markers N-cadherin, Snail and Vimentin decreased significantly afterPHB2knockdown with them in control cells(P<0.01). The expression of Claudin-1 decreased, while the expressions of N-cadherin, Snail and Vimentin increased significantly inPHB2overexpression cells(P<0.05). Conclusion PHB2 is highly expressed in breast cancer and promotes multiple malignant biological behaviors in tumor cells, suggesting PHB2 may be a potential target for breast cancer diagnosis and treatment.

Objective:To analyze the willingness and related factors of pregnant women in Shanghai City to receive influenza vaccines during pregnancy.Methods:An online questionnaire survey was conducted among pregnant women who registered in maternal and child health hospitals in 16 districts of Shanghai. The basic information, health status during pregnancy, attitude towards influenza vaccination, and knowledge of influenza and influenza vaccine were collected, and χ2 test and multivariate logistic regression analysis were used to analyze the willingness and related factors of pregnant women to receive influenza vaccines during pregnancy. Results:A total of 3 219 valid questionnaires were received, with 10.90% of pregnant women willing to receive influenza vaccination during pregnancy, 57.50% unwilling to receive vaccination and 31.59% holding an uncertain attitude. Among the pregnant women who were willing to receive the vaccine, 82.91% would take the initiative to know the relevant information about the influenza vaccine, and 87.18% understood the transmission routes of the flu. 32.09% believed that pregnant women could receive the influenza vaccination at any stage of pregnancy. Among those who were unwilling and held an uncertain attitude, the proportions of the above three questions were 47.06%, 83.95% and 17.80%, respectively. Among pregnant women who were unwilling to receive vaccination and held an uncertain attitude, the main reason for their vaccine hesitation was the concern about the safety of the vaccine for pregnant women and fetuses during pregnancy. Multivariate logistic regression analysis showed that pregnant women with higher education ( OR=3.278, 95% CI: 1.678-6.406, P=0.001), second trimester ( OR=1.542, 95% CI: 1.159-2.054, P=0.003), third pregnancy ( OR=2.318, 95% CI: 1.008-5.331, P=0.048), and previous influenza vaccination ( OR=1.552, 95% CI: 1.119-2.152, P=0.008) had a higher willingness to receive influenza vaccines during pregnancy. Conclusion:Pregnant women in Shanghai have a relatively low willingness to receive influenza vaccines during pregnancy, mainly due to concerns about vaccine safety.

Objective:To investigate tetanus antibody levels and distribution characteristics in a healthy population of Henan Province.Methods:A cross-sectional survey was conducted in Henan Province from 2022 to 2023 to investigate the permanent population. Enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) was used to detect anti-tetanus toxoid IgG antibody (anti-TT), and the positive rate (≥0.01 IU/ml), protection rate (≥0.1 IU/ml) and concentration differences of tetanus antibodies in different populations were analyzed.Results:The age M ( Q1, Q3) of 5 494 participants was 14 (4, 40) years old, with a minimum age of 8 months and a maximum age of 81 years old. The male-to-female ratio was 1.00∶1.18. The total positive rate, protective rate and mean concentration (MC) [ M ( Q1, Q3)] of Anti-TT were 76.48%, 41.72% and 0.067 (0.010, 0.154) IU/ml, respectively. The positive rates of Anti-TT in individuals aged <3, 3-5, 6-9, and 10-14 were 95.32%, 96.05%, 97.81%, and 93.17%, respectively, but gradually decreased with age ( χ2trend=1 283.02, P<0.001). The antibody protection rate [82.13% (579/705)] and MC [ M ( Q1, Q3) of 0.160 (0.122, 0.259) IU/ml] in the population under 3 years old were relatively high, and both showed a decreasing trend with age (protection rate: χ2trend=1 889.49, P<0.001; MC: t=-54.22, P<0.001). There were significant differences in antibody levels among populations of different ages, regions, occupations, and immunization histories (all P<0.001). Within 13 years after the last dose of TTCV vaccination, the positive rate of Anti-TT was all greater than 90%, but the protection rate and MC continued to decrease with the prolongation of vaccination time (protection rate: χ2trend=160.58, P<0.001; MC: t=-14.93, P<0.001). After the last dose of vaccination, the protection rate and MC [ M ( Q1, Q3)] decreased to 30.43% and 0.055 (0.036, 0.115) IU/ml, respectively, for 10-13 years. The protection rates of Anti-TT for farmers, workers, people aged 60 and above, and women of childbearing age (20-45 years old) were 7.77%, 22.96%, 8.39%, and 12.72%, respectively. Conclusion:The level of tetanus antibodies in infants and young children in Henan Province is relatively high from 2022 to 2023, but it decreases with age and prolonged post-immunization time. There are significant differences in antibody levels among individuals of different ages, regions, occupations, and immunization histories. Occupational high-risk groups such as farmers and workers, elderly people, and women of childbearing age lack sufficient immunization protection.

Breast cancer is one of the most common malignant tumors among women worldwide, with an increasing incidence rate year by year, making it a significant public health concern. With the continuous advancement of tumor biology research, N 6-methyladenosine (m 6A) modification, as an important form of RNA modification, has attracted growing attention. The m 6A modification, the most prevalent RNA modification in eukaryotes, occurs in almost all types of RNA and plays a critical role in the occurrence, progression, and metastasis of breast cancer. It influences cell proliferation, apoptosis, and alterations in the tumor microenvironment, though the specific mechanisms underlying these effects require further in-depth investigation. Moreover, the specific patterns of m 6A modification demonstrate its potential as a novel biomarker for breast cancer, which could provide new directions for early diagnosis and prognosis evaluation.

Objective To provide a comprehensive and multi-dimensional objective assessment of the online medi-cal service quality supplied by public hospitals in China,and providing feasible suggestions for further improving.Methods It adopted a standardized patient method and relied on the IOM model to conduct a descriptive analy-sis of the online medical service quality from the perspectives of safety and effectiveness,efficiency,patient-cen-tered care,and accessibility.Results The process quality(adherence to checklist)in public hospital was 17.65％,the diagnostic accuracy was 66.04％,and the treatment correctness was 88.68％.The average consultation fee was 50 yuan.The patients'disease experience was 4.00 points,the social situation was 0,and the agreement between the physician and the patient was 12.00 points.The average time waiting for first response was about 1.60 hours,the average time waiting for each response was about 5.14 hours,and the patient's total time was about 20.32 hours.The time for response was 3,and the total words of providers was 149.50.Conclusion Internet medical ser-vices quality in public hospital are still insufficient in three aspects:the process quality(adherence to checklist),pa-tient-centered care,and accessibility.Improving online medical service quality can be achieved by strengthening"in-process supervision"and improving physicians'comprehensive clinical ability.

Objective To observe the value of three-dimensional ultrasound combined with microvascular flow imaging for prenatal diagnosis of fetal intracranial anomalies.Methods Totally 118 fetuses with intracranial anomalies diagnosed through cranial MRI/induced labor specimen dissection who underwent prenatal ultrasound examination were retrospectively enrolled.Two-dimensional,three-dimensional ultrasound and microvascular flow imaging manifestations of fetal intracranial anomalies were observed,and the accuracy of three-dimensional ultrasound combined with microvascular flow imaging for prenatal diagnosis of fetal intracranial anomalies was analyzed.Results The accuracy of three-dimensional ultrasound combined with microvascular flow imaging for prenatal diagnosis of fetal intracranial anomalies was 93.22％(110/118),of isolated and non-isolated intracranial anomalies was 97.47％(77/79)and 84.62％(33/39),respectively.Six fetuses were missed diagnosis of malformations of cortical development(1 fetus of tuberous sclerosis,4 of abnormal morphology of the sulci gyrus and 1 of schizencephaly)and 1 fetus of intracranial softening lesion,while posterior fossa arachnoid cyst in 1 fetus was misdiagnosed as mega cisterna magna.Conclusion The accuracy of three-dimensional ultrasound combined with microvascular flow imaging for prenatal diagnosis of fetal intracranial anomalies was relatively high.
