Objective To study the relationship between the expression of long non-coding RNA lung adenocarcinoma metastasis-associated transcript 1(lncRNA MALAT1)and microRNA(miR)-181a-5p in lung adenocarcinoma tissues and the signal pathway of Janus kinase 2/signal transducer and activator of transcription 3(JAK2/STAT3),clinicopathological features and prognosis.Methods 218 patients with lung adenocarcinoma who had surgical resection at our institution between January 2018 and May 2021 had their cancer tissues and nearby normal lung tissues collected,the levels of lncRNA MALAT1,miR-181a-5p and key factors of JAK2/STAT3 signaling pathway(JAK2 mRNA,STAT3 mRNA)in lung adenocarcinoma tissues and adjacent tissues were detected by reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction(RT-PCR).The correlation between the expression levels of lncRNA MALAT1 and miR-181a-5p in cancer tissues of lung adenocarcinoma patients and the levels of key factors in JAK2/STAT3 signaling pathway were analyzed by Pearson test.The relationship between the expression levels of lncRNA MALAT1 and miR-181a-5p and the clinicopathological features of lung adenocarcinoma patients were analyzed.Patients with lung adenocarcinoma were followed up for 3 years,and their prognosis was counted,the 3-year overall survival rate of lncRNA MALAT1 and miR-181a-5p low/high expression groups were analyzed by Kaplan-Meier method.The prognostic factors were analyzed by univariate and multivariate COX risk proportional regression models.Results In lung adenocarcinoma tissues,the expression levels of lncRNA MALAT1,JAK2,and STAT3 mRNA were substantially greater(P＜0.05)than in neighboring normal lung tissues,whereas the expression level of miR-181a-5p was significantly lower(P＜0.05)in compared to nearby normal lung tissues.Pearson test results showed that,lncRNA MALAT1 was positively correlated with JAK2 and STAT3 mRNA expression levels in cancer tissues of patients with lung adenocarcinoma(P＜0.05,r=0.526、0.483),and miR-181a-5p was negatively correlated with JAK2 and STAT3 mRNA expression levels in cancer tissues of patients with lung adenocarcinoma(P＜0.05,r=-0.430、-0.493).lncRNA MALAT1 had a considerably greater expression rate and miR-181a-5p had a significantly lower expression rate in patients with TNM stage Ⅲa,lymph node metastasis and poorly differentiated lung adenocarcinoma than in patients with TNM stage Ⅰ-Ⅱ,without lymph node metastasis and moderately well differentiated lung adenocarcinoma(P＜0.05).Three patients were lost during the 3-year follow-up of 218 patients with lung adenocarcinoma,and the 3-year overall survival rate was 58.14％(125/215).The 3-year overall survival rate of the lncRNA MALAT1 high expression group was considerably lower than that of the lncRNA MALAT1 low expression group.The miR-181a-5p high expression group had a substantially greater(P＜0.05).Lymph node metastasis,TNM stage Ⅲ a,decreased expression level of miR-181a-5p,and increased expression level of lncRNA MALAT1 are risk factors for the prognosis of patients with lung adenocarcinoma(P＜0.05).Conclusion The low expression of miR-181a-5p and the high expression of lncRNA MALAT1 in lung adenocarcinoma tissues are related to TNM stage Ⅲa,lymph node metastasis and poor prognosis,which may promote the progression of lung adenocarcinoma and cause poor prognosis by activating JAK2/STAT3 signaling pathway.

ObjectiveTo investigate the objective characteristics of tongue manifestations in patients with coronary heart disease （CHD）. MethodsA total of 315 participants with CHD were recruited in the CHD group， and 211 healthy participants who underwent physical examination were recruited as the healthy control group. In addition， according to the common comorbidities （primary hypertension， carotid atherosclerosis， type 2 diabetes mellitus， fatty liver， hyperlipidaemia， heart failure， and cerebral infarction） in 315 participants with CHD， each comorbidity was classified into a group of comorbidities with that disease and a group of non-comorbidities. Tongue images were captured using a TFDA-1 tongue diagnostic instrument to characterise the tongue body （TB） and tongue coating （TC）， comparing the RGB， HIS， and Lab colour spaces in the chromaticity index （R， red； G， green； B， blue； H， hue； I， intensity； S， saturation； L， lightness； a， red-green axis； b， yellow-blue axis）， the tongue coating thickness index （per-All）， contrast （CON）， angular second moment （ASM）， entropy （ENT）， and mean （MEAN） in texture metrics. ResultsCompared with the healthy control group， the characteristic indexes of tongue body in CHD group showed lower TB-R， TB-G， TB-B， TB-I， TB-L and higher TB-H， TB-b； and the characteristic indexes of tongue coating in CHD group showed lower TC-R， TC-B and higher TC-CON， TC-MEAN， TC-H， TC-b （P＜0.05 or P＜0.01）. Compared with non-combined primary hypertension group， CHD combined primary hypertension group showed higher per-All， TB-G， TB-L， and lower TB-a， TC-a （P＜0.05）； compared with the non-combined carotid atherosclerosis group， CHD combined carotid atherosclerosis group showed higher TB-CON， TB-ENT， TB-MEAN， and lower TB-ASM （P＜0.05 or P＜0.01）； compared with the non-combined type 2 diabetes mellitus group， CHD combined type 2 diabetes mellitus group showed lower per-All and higher TB-H （P＜0.05 or P＜0.01）； compared with the non-combined fatty liver group， CHD combined fatty liver group showed higher TB-CON， TB-MEAN， TB-ENT， and lower TB-ASM and TC-S （P＜0.05 or P＜0.01）； compared with the non-combined hyperlipidaemia group， CHD combined hyperlipidaemia group showed lower TB-S and TB-a （P＜0.05）； compared with non-combined heart failure group， CHD combined heart failure group showed lower TB-R， TB-G， TB-I， TB-L， and higher TB-a （P＜0.05 or P＜0.01）； compared with non-combined cerebral infarction group， CHD combined cerebral infarction group showed higher TC-CON， TC-ENT， TC-MEAN， and lower TC-ASM （P＜0.05 or P＜0.01）. ConclusionCompared to healthy individuals， patients with CHD tend to have darker tongue colours and rougher TC textures. Compared with non-comorbidity participants， those with primary hypertension tended to be lighter tongue colour and thicker tongue coating， those with carotid atherosclerosis had paler tongue body， those with type 2 diabetes mellitus had thinner tongue coating， those with fatty liver disease had paler tongue body and whiter tongue colour， those with hyperlipidaemia and heart failure had paler tongue colour， and those with cerebral infarction had rougher tongue texture.

Objective:To summarize the best evidence for thirst care management in maintenance hemodialysis patients.Methods:Literature on thirst management in maintenance hemodialysis patients was systematically searched in UpToDate, BMJ Best Practice, Australian Joanna Briggs Institute Evidence-Based Health Care Center database, National Guideline Clearinghouse, Medlive, PubMed, China National Knowledge Infrastructure, Wanfang data, and other databases or websites, including clinical decisions, best practice, evidence summaries, guidelines, expert consensus, systematic reviews, and randomized controlled trials. The search period was from the establishment of the databases to July 1, 2023. Two researchers independently evaluated the quality of the literature and extracted and summarized the evidence.Results:A total of 18 articles were included, including six clinical decisions, three guidelines, one evidence summary, one systematic review, and seven randomized controlled trials. Thirty-eight of the best pieces of evidence were summarized from four aspects, including thirst assessment, risk factors for thirst, prevention and mitigation strategies, and educational management.Conclusions:This study summarizes the best evidence for thirst management in maintenance hemodialysis patients and recommends that healthcare professionals apply evidence based on clinical context and patient willingness.

Objective To explore the impact of butylphthalide soft capsules on the related factors and quality of life of Parkinson patients with dementia.Methods 90 Parkinson patients with dementia were selected,and they were divided into the study group and the control group by the random number table method,45 cases in each group.The control group was treated with donepezil hydrochloride combined with routine nursing method,and the study group was treated with butylphthalide soft capsules based on the treatment of the control group.Before and after treatment,the serum C-reactive protein(CRP),recombinant human Parkinson disease protein 7 (PARK7),neurotrophic factor -3 (NT-3) levels of all patients were detected.And the quality of life of patients at admission and discharge were evaluated by the scale of disease self management efficiency and quality of life scale WHO (WHO QOL-BREF),quality of life of the two groups was compared before and after treatment.The Parkinson's Disease Rating Scale (UPDRS) scores was compared between the two groups before and after treatment.Results Before treatment,the dementia related factors and quality of life score,UPDRS score of the two groups had no statistically significant differences (all P ＞ 0.05).After treatment,the dementia related factors of the two groups were all improved,which of the study group improved significantly [CRP:(3.24 ± 0.78) mg/L vs.(6.02 ± 0.95) mg/L,PARK7:(13.15 ± 1.51) μg/L vs.(24.93 ±2.02)μg/L,NT-3:(34.16 ± 3.47) μg/L vs.(26.23 ± 2.97) μg/L,all P ＜0.05].After treatment,the quality of life(QOL) and UPDRS score of the study group were significantly higher than those of the control group [(80.5 ± 12.5) points vs.(66.0 ± 10.3) points,(33.28 ± 2.18) points vs.(41.26 ± 2.54) points,all P ＜ 0.05].Conclusion Butylphthalide soft capsules can effectively improve the dementia related factor of Parkinson patients with dementia,and enhance the quality of life with good effect.

Objective To investigate the effects and mechanisms of 5-aza-2'-deoxycytidine (5-Aza-CdR) on endometrial cancer cell.Methods In vitro experiments of 5-Aza-CdR were done using human endometrial cancer cell line HEC-1B.Evaluation of cellular proliferation and apoptosis was ascertained respectively using trypan blue exclusion and flow cytometry.RT-PCR and methylation specific PCR(MSP) was done to detect the expression of RASSF1 A mRNA and methylation status of RASSF1 A promoter of HEC-1B cell line.Results (1) The status of cellular growth and apeptosis of HEC-1 B cell line:the growth inhibition effects of 5-Aza-CdR on HEC-1B cell line were both concentration-dependent (P ＜ 0.01) and time-dependent(P ＜0.01),as well as the apoptosis rate of HBC-1-B cell line depended on the dose of 5-Aza-CdR obviously(P ＜0.01).(2)The expression of RASSF1A mRNA of HEC-1B cell line:RASSF1A mRNA was expressed in HEC-1B cell after 5-Aza-CdR treatment,but it was undetectable before the treatment.In the groups with different concentration of 5-Aza-CdR (0.05,0.1,1,5,10 nmol/ml),the expression of RASSF1A mRNA was respectively 0.074±0.004,0.105±0.004,0.167±0.006,0.334±0.005,0.484±0.007,which were remarkably different from the group without 5-Aza-CdR(the expression of RASSF1A mRNA was 0;P ＜ 0.01).(3) The hypermethylation of RASSF1A promoter of HEC-1B cell line:the hypermethylation of RASSF1A promoter was detected in HEC-1B cell line.The status of hypermethylation was decreased after treatment with 5-Aza-CdR of 0.05,0.1,1,5 nmol/ml,meanwhile,both methylation bands and demethylation bands were observed by methylation specific PCR.After the treatment with 5-Aza-CdR of 10 nmol/ml the hypermethylation was absent absolutely.Conclusions (1) In HEC-1B cell line,5-Aza-CdR can inhibit cell proliferation and induce cell apopotosis.(2) 5-Aza-CdR can renew the expression of RASSF1A mRNA of HEC-1B cell line and reverse the hypermethylation of RASSF1A promoter.

Objective To evaluate the short-term effect of CT-guided interstitial implantation of 125I seeds for metastatic lung carcinoma. Methods A total of 82 patients with 126 metastatic lung tumors were treated with CT-guided percutaneous interstitial implantation of 125I seeds at a dose of 80 Gy. Six months after the treatment, the change of tumor volume was observed by using CT scan. The patients were followed up for 2 years. Results The mean radioactive dose was (159.3?34.5) Gy, and the median dose was (118.6?33.2) Gy. Six months after the treatment, CT scan showed a CR of 25.4% (32/126), PR 64.3% (81/126), NC 6.3% (8/126), PD 4.0% (5/126), and CR+PR 89.7% (113/126). Twelve patients showed pneumothorax and 41 had hemoptysis. During the follow-up, 11 patients (6 cases of malignant fibrous histiotoma, 3 cases of lung cancer, 1 rectal carcinoma, and 1 liver carcinoma) died within 8-12 months after the surgery. Fifteen patients (4 cases of malignant fibrous histiotoma, 4 lung cancer, 4 ovarian cancer, 2 multiple myeloma, and 1 uterine leiomyosarcoma) died within 13-24 months after the implantation. The 1-and 2-year survival rates were 86.6% (71/82) and 68.3% (56/82) respectively. Conclusion CT-guided percutaneous interstitial implantation of 125I seeds is effective for lung metastatic carcinoma.

Objective To evaluate the short-term efficacy of interstitial implantation of 125I seeds by using flexible fiberoptic bronchoscope (FFB) guided by CT for advanced non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). Methods A total of 185 patients with NSCLC, who were diagnosed clinically and pathologically, were enrolled into this study and divided into two groups. In 125I seeds group (n=121), the patients received interstitial implantation of 125I combined with NP regimen (NVB+DDP) chemotherapy with a prescribed dose (PD) of 80 Gy. Among the patients, the implantation was guided by CT in 89, and was performed directly under a FFB in 32. In control group (n=64), NP regimen (NVB+DDP) chemotherapy was used. Six months after the treatments, the tumor volume in the two groups was measured by using CT and FFB. The outcomes of the 2 groups were compared, and the efficacy of the treatments was evaluated according to the international standards. Results In the 125I seeds group, the mean radiation dose was 153.7 Gy, matched peripheral dose (MPD) was 89.6 Gy, and D90 was 93.5 Gy. Six months after the treatment, the effectiveness rate (CR+PR) was 95.0% (115/121), and 1-year survival rate was 0.90. In the control group, the effectiveness rate was 42.2% (27/64), and 1-year survival rate was 0.65. There existed significant difference between the two groups (log-rank test, ?2=5.12, Prob=0.04

Objective To evaluate activity alteration of the pancreatic tissue phospholipase A 2 (PLA 2) and the therapeutic effects of verapamil in acute pancreatitis (AP) rats. Methods After the model of AP in the rat was established by the closed duodenal loop technique, the changes of PLA 2 activity were observed, and the pancreatic histology was examined by light and electron microscopy. Results At 16 and 24 hours after induction of AP in rats, significant inhibition of PLA 2 avtivity in pancreatic tissue was shown in the treated group (32.34?3.87, 35.26?4.52) as compared with AP group (44.83?5.31,47.77?5.86). The treated animals also showed decreasing in the severity of pancreatic pathology. Conclusions In AP rats exist high activity of PLA 2. Verapamil, a calcium channel blocker, might have therapeutic effects on AP by inhibiting the activity of PLA 2.
