Objective To analyze and investigate the diagnostic value of strain imaging elastosonography in stationary phase plasma cell mastitis. Methods Retrospective analysis was made on the plasma cell mastitis patients, who sought medical care in the hospital from Jan 2014 to Feb 2016 and were later confirmed by pathological examination.Eighteen patients with stationary phase plasma cell mastitis were selected for analysis of the features of conventional uhrasonographic images, the BI-RADS classification and the features of elastosonography images. Results In spite of the fact that more features of tumor and higher grade of classification might be manifested in conventional ultrasonography, the scores of elastosonography were mostly 1-2,indicating that they might be benign tumors. Conclusion For stationary phase plasma cell mastitis with just breast tumor, conventional ultrasonography coupled with elastosonography could significantly increase diagnostic accuracy of stationary phase plasma cell mastitis.
