OBJECTIVE To investigate the effects and mechanisms of Buyang huanwu decoction （BYHWD） and its active fractions in ameliorating non-alcoholic fatty liver disease. METHODS BYHWD and its effective fractions obtained through ethanol precipitation， as well as 30% ethanol， 50% ethanol， and 75% ethanol fractions （namely， the CC effective fraction， 30YC effective fraction， 50YC effective fraction， and 75YC effective fraction）， were prepared. These preparations were administered to rats via intragastric administration to prepare corresponding drug-containing serum （blank serum and simvastatin-containing serum were prepared using the same protocol）. Human L02 hepatocytes were divided into control group， model group， simvastatin-containing serum group， BYHWD-containing serum group， CC-containing serum group， 30YC-containing serum group， 50YC-containing serum group， and 75YC-containing serum group. Except for the control group， other groups were given 0.2 mol/L oleic acid for 24 h to induce a lipid accumulation model， and then intervened with 20% drug-containing serum/blank serum for 24 h. The lipid deposition in cells was observed， and the proportion of lipid droplet area was calculated； the levels of triglycerides （TG） and indicators of oxidative stress [malondialdehyde （MDA）， superoxide dismutase （SOD）] as well as liver function [alanine amino- transferase （ALT）， aspartate amino-transferase （AST）] in cells were detected； protein and mRNA expressions of AMP-activated protein kinase （AMPK）/sterol regulatory element-binding protein-1 （SREBP-1）/glycerol-3-phosphate acyltransferase （GPAT） signaling pathway were also measured. RESULTS Compared with the control group， cells in the model group exhibited severe cellular steatosis， with a significantly increased proportion of lipid droplet area， as well as the elevated levels of TG， ALT， AST， and MDA in cells， along with significantly up-regulated mRNA and protein expression levels of SREBP-1 and GPAT （P＜0.05）. The level of SOD， mRNA expression of AMPK， as well as the protein phosphorylation level of AMPK were decreased significantly （P＜0.05）. Compared with the model group， cellular steatosis was alleviated in all drug-containing serum groups， and the levels of most of the aforementioned quantitative indicators were significantly reversed （P＜0.05）. CONCLUSIONS BYHWD and its active fractions can exert a therapeutic effect on improving non-alcoholic fatty liver disease by regulating the AMPK/SREBP-1/GPAT signaling pathway， inhibiting oxidative stress responses， and reducing lipid deposition.

【Objective】 To investigate the correlation of the levels of interleukin-25 (IL-25) and interleukin-33 (IL-33) in cord blood with the development of infantile eczema within 42 days after birth, so as to provide theoretical support for the prevention of early infant eczema. 【Methods】 A total of 145 newborns who met the inclusion criteria and were born in the Obstetrics and Gynecology Department of the Air Force Special Medical Center from September 2020 to September 2021 were selected. Cord venous blood was collected at birth and the levels of IL-25 and IL-33 in cord blood were measured. The occurrence and severity of infantile eczema were recorded in 42 days. 【Results】 Among 145 infants, 79(54.5%) suffered from eczema. The level of IL-25 in cord blood in eczema group was significantly lower than that in non-eczema group (Z=4.957, P<0.001), and the level of IL-33 in cord blood in eczema group was significantly higher than that in non-eczema group (Z=4.594, P<0.001). The proportion of family history of allergy in the eczema group was significantly higher than that in non-eczema group (χ²=4.693, P<0.05). Logistic regression analysis showed that family history of allergy (OR=4.296), lower level of IL-25(<14.5pg/mL) (OR=4.034) and higher level of IL-33(>21.1pg/mL) (OR=2.759) in cord blood were risk factors for eczema (P<0.05), while birth weight was not associated with the onset of eczema in infants at 42 days (P>0.05). Meanwhile, the level of IL-33 in cord blood was related to the mode of delivery (P<0.05). ROC analysis showed that the optimized positive cutoff value was <14.0pg/mL for cord blood IL-25(sensitivity 62.0%, specificity 75.8%) and >22.1pg/mL for IL-33 (sensitivity 64.6%, specificity 69.7%). Spearman correlation test found that there was a linear correlation of the level of cord blood IL-33 with eczema area and severity index (EASI) score (r=0.398, P<0.01). 【Conclusion】 Family allergy history, lower level of cord blood IL-25 and higher level of cord blood IL-33 are important influencing factors of infant eczema in 42 days after birth, and higher level of cord blood IL-33 will aggravate the severity of early infantile eczema.

OBJECTIVE To investigate the effects of Buyang huanwu decoction on red blood cells in hyperlipidemia model mice. METHODS Male C57BL/6 mice were fed a high-fat diet to prepare a hyperlipidemia model. Successfully modeled mice were randomly assigned to the model group， atorvastatin calcium group （0.26 g/kg）， fenofibrate group （1.3 mg/kg）， and high-， medium-， and low- dose groups of Buyang huanwu decoction （18.6， 9.3， 4.6 g/kg）， with 10 mice in each group. Additionally， 10 mice fed with regular chow served as the normal group. Each group of mice received intragastric administration with the corresponding drug or normal saline once daily for 21 consecutive days. After the last administration， the body weight of the mice in each group was measured， and blood glucose， total cholesterol （TC）， triglyceride （TAG）， high-density lipoprotein cholesterol （HDL-C）， and low-density lipoprotein cholesterol （LDL-C） levels were measured. Red blood cell morphology changes were observed， and the expression levels of glucose transporter type 1 （GLUT1）， erythrocyte membrane protein band 4.2 （protein 4.2）， caveolin-1， and flotillin-1 in erythrocyte membrane were determined. RESULTS Compared with the model group， the body weight and levels of TC， TAG， HDL-C， LDL-C， and the expression levels of GLUT1， caveolin-1 and flotillin-1 in the Buyang huanwu decoction groups were significantly decreased， while blood glucose levels and the expression levels of protein 4.2 were significantly increased （P＜0.05）. The red blood cell morphology in the low- and medium-dose groups of Buyang huanwu decoction was significantly promoted. CONCLUSIONS Buyang huanwu decoction can reduce blood lipid levels in hyperlipidemia model mice and strengthen the morphology and function of red blood cells in a hyperlipidemic environment， which has the potential to be used for preventing hyperlipidemia complications such as atherosclerosis.

Aim To investigate the value of ultrasound in the diagnosis of congenital internal carotid artery hypo-plasia(CICAH).Methods Patients diagnosed with CICAH by ultrasound in Baotou Central Hospital,Inner Mongolia from July 2022 to December 2023 were retrospectively collected.The general data,ultrasound and imaging data of all patients were recorded.Results Among the 25 317 carotid artery ultrasonography subjects,13 patients were di-agnosed as CICAH.The ultrasonic detection rate of CICAH was 0.051％.The 13 cases of CICAH included 11 cases of unilateral internal carotid artery hypoplasia and 2 cases of bilateral internal carotid artery hypoplasia.CT scan of carotid canal confirmed that all 13 cases of internal carotid artery hypoplasia were unilateral lesions,among which 2 cases of unilat-eral lesions were misdiagnosed as bilateral lesions by ultrasound,with a misdiagnosis rate of 15％.Taking carotid canal dysplasia as the gold standard,ROC curve was plotted to evaluate the diagnostic value of ultrasound in CICAH.The area under the curve(AUC)was 0.941,and the optimal diagnostic threshold value of CICAH was 3.2 mm,sensitivity was 100％,and specificity was 85％.The consistency test between ultrasonic examination and gold standard test method for CT scanning of carotid artery canal showed that Kappa value was 0.846.Conclusion Ultrasound has a high diagnostic value in the diagnosis of CICAH,and can be used as the first choice of clinical examination.

Objective To investigate the relationship between early infant eczema and cord blood interleukin(IL)-36γ level.Methods Fifty-nine full-term healthy newborns were selected as the study subjects.General information was collected including gender,birth weight,delivery method,gestational age,maternal age,physical fitness during pregnancy(diabetes,infection,hyperthyroidism and other complications),family history of allergies and intake times of seafood during pregnancy≥3 times.The level of IL-36γ in umbilical cord blood after birth was detected by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay.The presence and severity of eczema within 42 days were followed up.Multivariate Logistic regression was performed to analyze the influencing factors of early infant eczema,and receiver operating characteristics(ROC)were plotted to evaluate the diagnostic effectiveness.Results Among 59 infants,40 had eczema,of which 35 were mild,5 were moderate and 19 were eczema free.The proportion of seafood intake times≥3 and the level of IL-36γ in umbilical cord blood were higher in the eczema group than those in the no-eczema group(P＜0.05).There was no significant difference in IL-36γ level in cord blood between mild and moderate eczema patients.Multivariate Logistic regression analysis showed that the increased level of IL-36γ in umbilical cord blood and≥3 intake times of seafood during pregnancy were risk factors for early infant eczema(P＜0.05).ROC results showed that the AUC(95%CI)of umbilical cord blood IL-36γ was 0.743(0.611-0.874),sensitivity was 87.6%,specificity was 57.9%,and truncation value was 103.823 ng/L.Conclusion The elevated level of IL-36γ in umbilical cord blood is an independent risk factor for early infant eczema,and early detection is valuable for predicting the occurrence of infantile eczema.

Objective To investigate the application of Resourcefulness Scale ( RS) and evaluate its reliability and validity. Methods By five steps of translation, back-translation, comprehension, group discussion and expert discussion, the RS was translated into Chinese and went on cultural debugging. Totals of 330 patients with breast cancer were randomly selected to evaluate the reliability and validity. Results After translation and cultural debugging, the content reliability was 0. 90. The Chinese RS exploratory factor extracted two factors, which could explain 80. 22% variables. Conclusions Chinese RS has a high reliability and validity, so it can serve as an evaluation tool for patients with breast cancer.
