Objective:To compare the differences in prefrontal activation patterns between major depressive disorder and schizophrenia during the eye basic emotion discrimination task (EBEDT).Methods:Using functional near infrared spectroscopy (fNIRS) technology and block design, the changes of prefrontal lobe oxyhemoglobin (Oxy-Hb) concentrations under EBEDT in 40 patients with major depressive disorder, 47 patients with schizophrenia and 55 normal controls were compared. Subsequently, employing years of education as a covariate, an analysis of covariance was performed on the EBEDT behavioral results and the changes in prefrontal Oxy-Hb concentrations in the three groups.The statistical software was SPSS 25.0.Results:(1)The correct number of EBEDT in schizophrenia group (13.93±7.67) was significantly lower than that in major depressive disorder group (19.26±8.07) and normal control group (21.79±6.36)(both P<0.05), and the EBEDT reaction time in schizophrenia group ((3.97±1.77) s) was significantly longer than those in major depressive disorder group ((3.21±1.27) s) and normal control group ((2.63±0.62) s)(both P<0.05).(2)During the EBEDT task block, the normal control group showed increased activation levels in the frontal polar region, Broca's area, anterior motor cortex and supplementary motor area (SMA) compared with the control block( t=2.02-3.18, all P<0.05); and the schizophrenia group showed increased activation levels in the frontal eye field compared with the control block( t=2.26, P=0.03); while the major depressive disorder group exhibited decreased activation levels in the entire prefrontal lobe compared with the control block( t=-3.47--2.34, all P<0.05). (3)During the emotion recognition task of EBEDT, the activation levels of the frontal polar area (ch37), dorsolateral prefrontal cortex (ch31), Broca's area (ch49, ch51, ch53), and SMA (ch1, ch47, ch52) were significantly different among the major depressive disorder, schizophrenia and normal controls( F=3.23-5.53, all P<0.05). Further pairwise comparisons showed that the activation levels in all the above pathways were lower in the major depressive disorder group than those in the normal control group, and the activation levels in Broca's area (ch53) and SMA area (ch52) were lower in the schizophrenia group than those in the normal control group, while the activation levels in the frontal polar area (ch37) and Broca's area (ch49) were lower in the major depressive disorder group than those in the schizophrenia group(all P<0.05). Conclusions:In EBEDT, the activation patterns of the prefrontal cortex are different between patients with major depressive disorder and patients with schizophrenia. Patients with major depressive disorder have a decrease in prefrontal cortex activation, while patients with schizophrenia have an increase in the frontal eye field activation.The activation levels in prefrontal cortex of both patients group are lower than that of normal controls. Meanwhile, the prefrontal cortex activation level of patients with major depressive disorder is lower than that of patients with schizophrenia.

Objective:To investigate the effects and mechanisms of zinc ion-loaded composite hydrogel (hereinafter referred to as the zinc-containing hydrogel) on infected full-thickness skin defect wounds in diabetic mice.Methods:This study was an experimental study. A poly (glycerol sebacate)-co-poly(ethylene glycol)-g-catechol prepolymer/quaternized-chitosan hydrogel (hereinafter referred to as the simple hydrogel) and a solid-state zinc-containing hydrogel with porous and good adhesion by adding zinc ions to the simple hydrogel were prepared. The release rate of zinc ions from the zinc-containing hydrogel after immersion in phosphate buffer solution (PBS) for 14 days was calculated. The concentration of methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) cultured for 2 hours with the simple hydrogel, zinc-containing hydrogel, and PBS was measured. The scavenging ability of the simple hydrogel, zinc-containing hydrogel, and PBS for 1,1-diphenyl-2-picrylhydrazyl radical 2,2-diphenyl-1-(2, 4, 6-trinitrophenyl) hydrazyl (DPPH) was detected using microplate reader to reflect the ability of oxygen free radical removal. The length of vessels formed by human umbilical vein endothelial cells (HUVECs) cultured for 24 hours with the simple hydrogel, zinc-containing hydrogel, and PBS was measured. The cell viability of L929 cells cultured for 24 hours with the simple hydrogel, zinc-containing hydrogel, and PBS was detected using the cell counting kit-8. The mouse red blood cell suspension was divided into blank control group treated with PBS, simple hydrogel group, zinc-containing hydrogel group, and Triton X-100 group treated with corresponding solution. Hemolysis was detected using microplate reader after 2 hours of treatment, and the hemolysis rate was calculated. All experiments had a sample size of 3. Twenty-one C57BL/6J mice aged 6-8 weeks were taken, and a full-thickness skin defect wound was prepared in the symmetrical position on the back spine and infected with MRSA. Mice were divided into blank control group treated with PBS, simple hydrogel group, and zinc-containing hydrogel group treated with the corresponding hydrogel. Three days after injury, bacterial concentration in the wounds were measured in all groups of mice ( n=4). On day 0 (immediately), 3, 7, and 14 after injury, the wound infection status of mice was generally observed and the wound healing rate was calculated ( n=5). Hematoxylin-eosin staining and Masson staining were used to detect new epithelium and collagen formation in the wounds of mice on day 14 after injury. Immunofluorescence staining was used to detect neovascularization and distribution of M2 macrophages in the wounds of mice. Results:After immersion for 14 days, the release rate of zinc ions of the zinc-containing hydrogel was (70.5±4.6)%. Compared with the zinc-containing hydrogel, the bacterial concentration was significantly increased after 2 hours of culture with PBS and the simple hydrogel ( P<0.05). The DPPH scavenging rate of the zinc-containing hydrogel was significantly higher than that of PBS and the simple hydrogel (with P values all <0.05). The length of vessels formed by HUVECs cultured for 24 hours with the zinc-containing hydrogel was significantly longer than that cultured with PBS ( P<0.05). Compared with PBS and the simple hydrogel, the cell viability of L929 cells cultured for 24 hours with the zinc-containing hydrogel was significantly higher ( P<0.05). After 2 hours of incubation, compared with that in Triton X-100 group, the hemolysis rate of red blood cells in blank control, simple hydrogel, and zinc-containing hydrogel groups was significantly reduced ( P<0.05); and the hemolysis rate of red blood cells in the latter three groups was similar ( P>0.05). On day 3 after injury, the bacterial concentration in the wounds of mice in zinc-containing hydrogel group was significantly lower than that in blank control and simple hydrogel groups (with P values all <0.05). From day 3 to day 14 after injury, the wounds of mice in all the three groups were gradually healing, and on day 14 after injury, the wounds of mice in the zinc-containing hydrogel group were basically healed. On day 7 after injury, the wound healing rate of mice in zinc-containing hydrogel group was (72.4±8.4)%, which was significantly higher than that of blank control and simple hydrogel groups, being (31.6±6.7)% and (44.7±5.4)%, respectively(with P values all< 0.05). On day 14 after injury, the wound healing rate of mice in zinc-containing hydrogel group was (92.7±4.3)%, which was significantly higher than (73.5±7.4)% in blank control group ( P<0.05). On day 14 after injury, compared with that in blank control and simple hydrogel groups, the newly formed epidermis in mice wound of zinc-containing hydrogel group was longer and thicker, with more collagen deposition, and a more abundant distribution of new vessels and M2 macrophages. Conclusions:The zinc-containing hydrogel exhibits good biocompatibility, oxygen free radical scavenging capacity, and antimicrobial effects both in vitro and in vivo, as well as angiogenic promotion capability. It can provide sustained release of zinc ions to promote re-epithelialization and collagen synthesis, thus enhancing the healing of infected full-thickness skin defect wounds in diabetic mice.

Objective To compare the clinical efficacy and postoperative urinary control between robot-assisted radical prostatectomy(RARP)with posterior-anterior-lateral(PAL)approach and with anterior(conventional)approach using propensity score matching method.Methods Clinical data of 145 patients undergoing RARP in our hospital during Jan.2020 and Jan.2023 were retrospectively analyzed,including 122 patients in the conventional group and 23 in the PAL group.The patients were matched by 2∶1 propensity score matching,including 46 cases in the conventional group and 23 in the PAL group.The perioperative outcomes were compared of prostate cancer(PCa)patients undergoing RARP surgery with different approaches before and after matching,including operation time,intraoperative blood loss,pelvic drainage time,hospitalization days,preservation of neurovascular bundles(NVB)during surgery,deep dorsal venous complex(DVC)suture,reconstruction of bladder neck,and postoperative urinary control recovery rate after extubation immediately,and 1,3,and 6 months after surgery.Results There were no significant differences in baseline data,operation time,bleeding volume,pelvic drainage time,hospitalization days,preservation of NVB,and reconstruction of bladder neck between the two groups(P＞0.05).The PAL group used less DVC suture during surgery(30.4％vs.100％,P＜0.001),but had better urinary control recovery rate immediately after extubation,1,3 and 6 months after surgery(P＜0.05).Conclusion RARP with PAL approach is as safe and effective as the conventional approach,and has significant advantages in early postoperative urinary control.

Operation duration has consistently been regarded as a important factor influencing the outcome of total knee arthroplasty(TKA).Prolonged operation time can give rise to an array of adverse events,ultimately leading to surgical failure,escalated healthcare expenses,and even jeopardizing patient survival.Numerous studies have demonstrated that prolonged operation time is linked with an augmented risk of postoperative complications.Recent investigations have revealed that extended operation duration can heighten the likelihood of postoperative pain,wound dehiscence,anemia and blood transfusion requirements,surgical site infection,sepsis,prolonged hospitalization and readmission rates;impact prosthetic longevity and patient survival rate.

Robot assisted laparoscopic surgery is a more advanced minimally invasive procedure with distinct advantages over conventional laparoscopic surgery. Since the introduction of Da Vinci robotic equipment in 2006, a large number of robotic surgeries have been performed in China, especially in the field of Urology, and robotic surgery has been widely used in the treatment of adrenal tumor, renal tumor, bladder cancer, prostate cancer, and other diseases. Based on rich experience of more than 3000 cases of robotic surgery in our center, we summarize the status quo of urologic robotic surgery and discuss its development prospect.

Hepatitis B virus core protein (HBc) has become a hot spot in drug carrier protein research due to its natural particle self-assembly ability and ease of modification. The truncation of the C-terminal polyarginine domain (CTD, aa 151-183) of HBc does not affect the self-assembly of the particles. However, it does affect the internal and external charges of the particles, which may subsequently affect drug encapsulation. Thus, the truncated C-terminal polyarginine domain (CTD) of HBc and the inserted RGD peptide were selected to construct and express three HBc variants (RH) encapsulated with ICG (RH/ICG) with different C-terminal lengths to compare the stability and drug activity of their nanoformulations. RH160/ICG was found to have a great advantages in encapsulation efficiency and biological imaging. Compared with other HBc variants, RH160/ICG significantly improved encapsulation efficiency, up to 32.77%±1.23%. Cytotoxicity and hemolysis assays further demonstrated the good biocompatibility of RH160/ICG. Cell uptake and in vivo imaging experiments in mice showed that RH160/ICG could efficiently deliver ICG in tumor cells and tumor sites with good imaging effect. This research provides a new direction for further expanding the diagnosis and treatment application of ICG and development of HBc-based nanoparticle drug carrier platform.

Objective: To examine the effect of functional sports training on the development of spatial awareness in children aged 6-8 years old,to provide a reference to improve children s ability of spatial sense. Methods: A class of 125 children aged 6-8 years from first, second, and third grades of an elementary school in Zhengzhou City were conveniently selected by stratified random sampling, who were divided into the experimental group ( n =62) and the control group ( n =63) by random number tables. The experimental group received functional sports intervention for 8 weeks,3 times a week,20 min each time, and the control group received traditional sports game program. Results: After the intervention,the error values of depth perception, orientation perception, and space perception in the experimertal group of 6 and 7 year old children reduced by 1.98 cm, 2.88°, and 22.00 cm (6 year old children) and 1.61 cm, 2.34°, and 17.99 cm (7 year old children) compared with the control group, respectively. Compared with those in the control group of 8 year old after the intervention, and the differences were of statistical signifiance( t =-3.07, -2.94, -3.07 ; -3.25, -3.29, -3.15, P <0.01). There was no significant difference in the error values of depth perception, orientation perception and space perception between the experimental group and the control group after intervention ( P >0.05). In the experimental group, the error values of depth perception, orientation perception and space perception reduced by 2.30 cm, 3.88°, 28.05 cm (6 year old children), 2.16 cm, 2.15°, 17.45 cm (7 year old children) and 1.16 cm, 1.81°, 9.10 cm (8 year old children) in children aged 6-8 years after intervention, significant improvement were observed compared with before intervention ( t = 8.50 , 9.04, 7.35; 7.39, 10.30, 11.05; 4.67, 4.46, 14.14, P <0.01). Compared with before the intervention, children aged 6-8 in the control group only had significant differences in space perception( t =4.13, 6.71, 8.93, P <0.01). Conclusion Functional sports games can improve depth perception, orientation perception and spatial perception for children aged 6-8 years. It can be integrated into children s daily activities to play a positive role in promoting the healthy growth of children.

Objective:To explore the clinical effect of high-titer plasma in the treatment of severe viral pneumonia in children.Methods:A total of 80 eligible children with severe viral pneumonia in intensive care unit of Guangzhou Women and Children Medical Center were enrolled in this retrospective study from January 2016 to June 2019, According to whether high-titer plasma was used or not, patients were divided into the high-titer plasma group (40 cases) and non-high-titer plasma group (40 cases). Chi-square test, Fisher's exact probability test and Mann-Whitney U test were used to compare the basic data, infection indicators, blood gas and ventilator parameters related indicators, treatment and prognosis of the two groups. Results:There were no significant differences in age, sex, admission weight, onset days and fever days between the high-titer plasma group and non-high- titer plasma group before entering the study (all P>0.05); There were no significant differences in the worst SOFA score, Murray lung injury score, chest X-ray involvement and sepsis within 3 days (all P>0.05). There were no significant differences in white blood cells, neutrophils and c-reactive protein between the two groups before and after entering the study (day 3 and 7) (all P> 0.05). There were no significant differences in arterial partial pressure of oxygen (PaO 2), partial pressure of carbon dioxide (PaCO 2), lactic acid (Lac), mean airway pressure (MAP), oxygenation index (P/F) and oxygen index (OI) between the two groups before and after entering the study (day 1, 3 and 7) (all P>0.05). There were no significant differences in the use of immunoglobulin, hormone, fiberoptic bronchoscope, blood purification, high frequency ventilator, pulmonary surfactant and extracorporeal membrane between the two groups (all P>0.05). There were no statistical differences in the number of days using invasive ventilator, the number of days staying in PICU and the total length of hospital stay between the two groups (all P>0.05). There was shorter time of the body temperature decreased to normal time in the high-titer plasma group than in the non-high-titer plasma group ( Z=-2.10, P=0.04). The survival rate of the high-titer plasma group was higher than that of the non-high-titer plasma group (85% vs 65%, χ2=4.27, P=0.04). The average daily cost of the high-titer plasma group was less than that of the non-high-titer plasma group, 3 688.38 yuan (2 335.49, 5 741.51) yuan vs 3 979.24 yuan (2 670.68, 9 992.62) yuan, but the difference was not statistically significant (Z=-1.35, P=0.18). No serious adverse reactions were observed during the treatment with high-titer plasma. Conclusions:The treatment of severe viral pneumonia with high-titer plasma can shorten fever time and improve survival rate. High-titer plasma can be used as a safe and effective treatment for severe viral pneumonia.

Objective: To analyze the distribution and drug resistance of pathogens isolated from patients with catheter-related bloodstream infection (CRBSI) in burn intensive care unit (BICU). Methods: From January 2011 to December 2018, among 2 264 patients who were peripherally inserted central venous catheter at the BICU of the First Affiliated Hospital of Army Medical University (the third Military Medical University), hereinafter referred to as the author′s unit, 159 patients were diagnosed CRBSI, including 131 males and 28 females, aged 43 (1, 79) years. The pathogens primarily isolated from peripheral venous blood and central venous catheter blood/anterior central venous catheter specimen of patients with CRBSI were retrospectively analyzed. API bacteria identification kits and automatic microorganism identification instrument were used to identify pathogens. Broth micro-dilution method or Kirby-Bauer paper disk diffusion method was used to detect the drug resistance of the pathogens to 5 antifungal drugs including fluconazole and itraconazole, etc., and 37 antibacterial drugs including tigecycline and imipenem, etc. Modified Hodge test was used to further identify imipenem- and meropenem-resistant Klebsiella pneumonia. D test was used to detect erythromycin-induced clindamycin resistant Staphylococcus aureus. The WHONET 5.6 software was applied to analyze the annual incidence of CRBSI, mortality of patients with CRBSI, incidence of CRBSI cases, distribution of infection site, and duration of catheterization, detection of Gram-negative and Gram-positive bacteria, fungi, methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA), and methicillin-sensitive Staphylococcus aureus (MSSA), and drug resistance of fungi and major Gram-negative and Gram-positive bacteria to the commonly used antibiotics in clinic. Results: (1) The incidence of CRBSI was 7.0% (159/2 264) during the eight years, which was slightly higher in 2014 and 2017 with 13.6% (30/221) and 11.1% (24/217) respectively. The mortality rate of patients with CRBSI was 7.5% (12/159). (2) The incidence of CRBSI cases was 14.9% (338/2 264); the main infection site was femoral vein, totally 271 cases (80.2%), and the duration of catheterization of this site was 9 (2, 25) d. (3) During the eight years, totally 543 strains of pathogens were isolated, including 353 (65.0%) strains of Gram-negative bacteria, 140 (25.8%) strains of Gram-positive bacteria, and 50 (9.2%) strains of fungi. The top three isolated pathogens with isolation rate from high to low were Acinetobacter baumannii, Staphylococcus aureus, and Pseudomonas aeruginosa, accounting for 23.2% (126/543), 17.1% (93/543), and 15.7% (85/543), respectively. Fungi were mainly Candida parapsilosis. Among the Staphylococcus aureus, the detection rate of MRSA was 98.9% (92/93), and that of MSSA was 1.1% (1/93). (4) Except for the low drug resistance rates to polymyxin B, minocycline, and tigecycline, the drug resistance rates of Acinetobacter baumannii to the other antibiotics were considerably high (80.1%-100.0%). Pseudomonas aeruginosa was not resistant to polymyxin B but highly resistant to netilmicin (88.7%) and piperacillin (92.6%), with resistance rates to the other antibiotics from 34.5% to 62.7%. Klebsiella pneumoniae was not resistant to tigecycline and lowly resistant to imipenem and meropenem (28.9%, 9 imipenem- and meropenem-resistant strains were further confirmed by modified Hodge test), with resistance rates to the other antibiotics from 40.9% to 95.2%. The resistance rates of MRSA to most antibiotics were higher than those of MSSA. MRSA was not resistant to linezolid, vancomycin, teicoplanin, sulfamethoxazole, or tigecycline. The resistance rates of MRSA to clindamycin and erythromycin were 7.9% and 62.0%, respectively, and those to the other antibiotics were higher than 91.5%. Except for the complete resistance to penicillin G and tetracycline, MSSA was not resistant to the other antibiotics. Thirty-three strains of Staphylococcus aureus showed resistance to erythromycin-induced clindamycin. Fungi was not resistant to amphotericin B, with drug resistance rates to voriconazole, itraconazole, ketoconazole, and fluconazole from 4.2% to 6.2%. Conclusions The incidence of CRBSI and mortality of patients with CRBSI are high in BICU of the author′s unit, and the main infection site is femoral vein. There are various types of pathogens in patients with CRBSI, and most of them are Gram-negative. The top three isolated pathogens are Acinetobacter baumannii, Staphylococcus aureus, and Pseudomonas aeruginosa, accompanying with grim drug resistance phenomenon.
