Chinese Journal of School Health 2020;41(12):1872-1875
Objective:
To understand the current situation and associated factors of myopia among primary school students, and to provide scientific basis for prevention and control of myopia among primary school students.
Methods:
In Gansu, Guangdong, Guangxi, Guizhou, Liaoning, Shandong, Shanxi and other provinces, 1 prefecture was selected, and a number of primary schools were selected from each region. All the students in the class were selected as the object of this survey. A total of 8 365 middle school students were examined for their eyesight, and the data of general population economic indicators and natural environment indicators were obtained through the statistical yearbook of various provinces and cities. The influencing factors of primary school students myopia were analyzed by chi-square test and multivariate Logistic regression.
Results:
Univariate analysis showed that different provinces and different sex, different nationalities, different grade, parents average salary, sunshine duration, air temperature, altitude, longitude, latitude, different economic zone(χ2=116.22, 18.08, 26.33, 1 059.04, 14.86, 10.28, 16.95, 10.01, 23.15, 29.43, 88.14, P<0.05). Multivariate analysis results showed that gender, grade, sunshine duration, longitude were risk factor for poor vision(OR=1.31, 1.71, 1.45, 1.54, P<0.05); Economic zone and parents salary were protective factors for poor eyesight of students (OR=0.65, 0.86, P<0.05).
Conclusion
Myopia of primary school students is affected by a variety of factors, economic and social factors and natural environmental factors have an impact on the screening.

To observe the protective effect of heparin-coated circuits (HCC) on the platelet function during cardiopulmonary bypass (CPB), 23 patients with heart valve replacement were studied. The system heparin dose was 3 mg/kg in the control group (n = 15) and heparin-coated circuits in the HCC group (n = 8). Platelet count, alpha-granule membrane protein-140 (GMP-140) concentrations were determined before CPB, at 60 min of CPB, 30 and 60 min after protamine administration, first 12 h after CPB, respectively. At end of CPB the arterial filters in the circuits were observed by electron microscopy. The amount of first 12-h postoperative blood loss was measured. There was significant reduction in platelet loss during and after CPB in the HCC group in contrast to the control group during CPB (P<0.05). During the first 12 h, postoperative blood loss was reduced in the HCC group as compared with that in the control group (218+/-61 ml, vs. 332+/-118 ml, P<0.05). Electron microscopy showed that in the HCC group the filter meshes and their fringes were clear and fragments of floccules were occasionally seen, without adherent cells or only few adherent cells on their surfaces, whereas several cellular and fibrous components were found to adhere to the surfaces of the filter meshes in the control group. This study indicates that heparin-coated circuits might reduce the platelet loss and activation during CPB and improve hemocompatibility of cardiopulmonary bypass equipment.

Chinese Traditional and Herbal Drugs 1994;0(02):-
Objective To study the protective effect of total flavone from Rhododendron simsii(TFRS) on myocardial ischemia-reperfusion injury rats and its mechanism. Methods The ischemic model was made by occluding the anterior descending of the left artery(LAD) in rats. The change of ST segment and T wave of electrocardiograph(ECG) were observed, and the activity of lactate dehydrogenase(LDH),creatine kinase(CK),levels of the maleic dialdehyde(MDA),and nitric oxide(NO) in serum were measured. And by tetrazolium chloride(TTC) staining, the areas of myocardial infarction were observed. The expression of inducible nitricoxide synthase(iNOS) in rats was detected by emploring the reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction(RT-PCR) technique. Results On the myocardial infarction model by occluding the anterior descending of the LAD in rats,TFRS(100 mg/kg) obviously reduced the height of ST segment after occluding 30 min and TFRS(25,50,and 100 mg/kg) obviously reduced the height of ST segment after reperfusion 30 min.TFRS(50 mg/kg) reduced by myocardial infarction area.TFRS(50 and 100 mg/kg) obviously reduced the activity of CK and LDH.TFRS(50 mg/kg) decreased the level of MDA in serum.By RT-PCR technique,it was found that the expression of iNOS mRNA in myocardium in IR rats pretreated with TFRS(100 mg/kg) was higher than that in IR and normal groups. Conclusions TFRS has the significant protection against myocardial ischemia-reperfusion injury via atte-nuating oxygen free radical and increasing the expression of iNOS mRNA and NO production.
