The incidence and mortality rates of lung cancer remain high, making it the leading cause of cancer-related deaths. In women, the predominant histological subtype is lung adenocarcinoma, commonly associated with epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) mutations, and EGFR-tyrosine kinase inhibitors (EGFR-TKIs) can significantly improve patient prognosis. Metastasis of primary lung cancer to the endometrium is extremely rare and is often misdiagnosed as a primary reproductive system tumor, and its occurrence indicates poor prognosis. This article reports a case of an advanced lung adenocarcinoma patient with EGFR mutation, who developed abnormal vaginal bleeding after EGFR-TKIs treatment failure, and biopsy confirmed endometrial metastasis. A review of similar cases is also presented.

Objective To investigate the main pharmacological basis and mechanism of action of Guhuaisi Kangfu Pill(GHSKF)in the treatment of steroid-induced osteonecrosis of the femoral head(SONFH).Methods The active constituents and targets of GHSKF were screened by using Traditional Chinese Medicine Systems Pharmacology Database and Analysis Platform(TCMSP)and other databases.The speculative targets of SONFH were screened out based on GeneCards and Online Mendelian Inheritance in Man(OMIM)databases.The gene modules and hub genes of SONFH were identified using a weighted gene co-expression network analysis(WGCNA).The intersection of the two targets and the result of WGCNA was taken to obtain the potential targets of GHSKF for the treatment of SONFH.The key active constituents were screened with the"active constituent-target"network,which was constructed by the Cytoscape software.Then,the STRING database was used to construct the protein interaction network to screen the key targets.The Kyoto Encyclopedia of Genes and Genomes(KEGG)enrichment analysis of key targets was performed,and the relationship between key active constituent,key targets and key signaling pathways was explored.Finally,the molecular docking between key active constituents and key targets was verified.In addition,the SONFH rat model was used for experimental verification.Results A total of 146 compounds and the corresponding 346 targets were identified based on the TCMSP database.A total of 4 187 targets of SONFH were obtained based on GeneCards and OMIM databases.In addition,twelve gene modules and 2 556 hub genes of SONFH were screened out based on WGCNA.Quercetin,luteolin and kaempferol were key active ingredients for the treatment of SONFH.Various signaling pathways such as PI3K/AKT were involved.Molecular docking showed the key active ingredients had good binding activity with the key targets.The results of animal experiments demonstrated that GHSKF could improve bone biological alterations by up-regulating AKT1,PI3K,RUNX2,and down-regulating the expression of Caspase-3 and IL-6(P＜0.01),which verified some results of the network pharmacology prediction.Conclusion We analyzed the potential mechanism of action of GHSKF for the treatment of SONFH using network pharmacology and animal experiments,which may provide a reference for further research on its pharmacological basis and targets.

Objective To explore analysis method of repeated measurements in single-sample. Methods Mixed linear model was presented and an example of repeated measurements in single-sample was analyzed. Results The reasonable results were obtained for repeated measurements in single-sample by the methods of mixed linear model. Conclusion Mixed linear model can be used to analyze repeated measurement data in single-sample.

Objective　To explore the relationship of pathological types of lung cancer with sex, age, site, and clinical diagnosis. Methods　The data of 1 310 patients with lung cancer diagnosed with fibrobronchoscopy, was retrospectively analyzed. Results　①The preliminary clinical diagnosed lung cancers which were comfirmed by fibrobronchoscopic biopsy later were mainly small cell lung cancer. ②The percentage of squamous carcinoma was significantly greater in male (78.0%) than in female (49.7%), but the percentage of adenocarcinoma was significantly higher in female (38.1%) than in male (13.1%)(P<0.0001). ③Among the patients with lung cancer, 53.7% was from 40 to 59 years old and 40.2% over 60. The average age of male patients (56.9 years old) was significantly greater than that of female (51.1 years old) (P<0.0001). ④ The average age of patients with squamous carcinoma and adenocarcinoma was greater in male than in female, but that with small cell carcinoma and squamous carcinoma was greater in female than in male. ⑤The percentage of male with lung cancer in the left lung (37.3%) was greater than that of female (26.0%), but the female had lung cancer in the right lung (59.7%) while male had (49.3%). The left and right upper lobe was more (45.4%) in male, but the right upper and lower lobe was more(43.3%) in female. Conclusion　①The fibrobronchoscopic examination is very important in the diagnosis of lung cancer. ②The pathological types and sites of lung cancer is different in different sex and age, which provide the exact bases for medical and surgical treatment for lung cancer.
