Patients with inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) require long-term pharmacotherapy. Due to the wide variety of clinically available drugs, medication safety has become increasingly concerning. As an indispensable component of pharmaceutical formulations, drug excipients may induce various adverse reactions, including rash, allergic responses, and gastrointestinal discomfort, and may even lead to severe organic injury. However, they are often overlooked in clinical practice. Therefore, identifying and managing excipient-related adverse reactions is crucial for ensuring medication safety. To address this issue, this article systematically reviews common excipients in IBD therapeutics, the underlying mechanisms of excipient-induced adverse reactions, and corresponding management strategies, aiming to enhance clinicians' awareness of excipient-related issues, improve their ability to recognize and manage such reactions, and ultimately ensure patient safety.

Objective:To analyze the operational effectiveness of a multi-medication management and consultation service platform for elderly patients based on quality function deployment (QFD) and “Internet+”.Methods:It was a non-randomized controlled trial. A total of 100 elderly patients were selected from the Department of Neurology of the First Affiliated Hospital of Wenzhou Medical University from September to November 2023 with convenience sampling method. The medication management was carried out through the multiple medication management and counseling service platform for the patients based on QFD and “Internet+”. The core modules included reminder module, evaluation module, consultation module and popularization module. A self-designed satisfaction questionnaire was used to collect the satisfaction scores of hospital service quality, medication adherence, medication knowledge, and medication safety before and one month after the platform was implemented. A total of 100 questionnaires were distributed, and 100 valid questionnaires (100%) returned. The t-test was used to analyze the differences between the satisfaction scores before and after the operation of the platform to evaluate the operation effects. Results:Among the 100 elderly patients with multiple medications included in the analysis, 65 were male and 35 were female, 84 patients had a combination of ≥2 chronic diseases. The patients aged (68.73±5.99) years, and the number of medications they were taking was (7.65±1.04). The scores of hospital service quality, medication adherence, medication knowledge, and medication safety after the application of the platform were all significantly higher than those before the launch of the platform [(3.66±0.48) vs (2.91±0.70) points, (3.90±0.30) vs (1.30±0.46) points, (3.39±0.49) vs (3.02±0.63) points, (3.75±0.44) vs (1.48±0.59) points](all P<0.05). Conclusion:The multiple medication management and consultation service platform for elderly patients based on QFD and “Internet+” can enhance the scientific management of multiple medication in elderly patients, reduce the burden of medication, improve the quality of medical services, and promote the development of intelligent elderly care services.

OBJECTIVE To explore the improvement effect of rape pollen on androgenic alopecia mice and its mechanism. METHODS The blank group, model group, positive drug group and administration group were set up, the androgenic alopecia mice model was induced by applying 0.2% testosterone after hair removal. The hair growth rate of mice were observed by using 5% minoxidil as positive drug and 0.4 g·mL-1 rape pollen oil solution as administration group. The hair quality and follicle condition of mice were observed by scanning electron microscope(SEM) and HE staining of skin tissue, respectively. The level of VEGF and bFGF in skin were detected by immunofluorescence staining and Western blotting, while the level of serum sex hormones and reactive oxygen species were detected by ELISA. RESULTS Rape pollen could significantly promote the hair growth in mice and improve the state of mice hair scales compared with model group. Mechanism exploration experiments showed that rape pollen could not promote hair regeneration of mice by regulating hormone levels or anti-oxidative stress. However, rape pollen could increase the expression of bFGF and VEGF related to skin angiogenesis at the modeling site. CONCLUSION Rape pollen can promote hair regeneration in androgenic alopecia mice. Its mechanism may be that it promotes perifollicular vascular regeneration by increasing bFGF and VEGF level.

Objective:To investigate the efficacy of venetoclax-based combined regimen in treatment of adult patients with acute myeloid leukemia (AML).Methods:The data of 50 adult AML (non-acute promyelocytic leukemia) who received venetoclax-based combined regimen in the First Affiliated Hospital of Xiamen University, Dongguan People's Hospital, the First Hospital of Longyan City, Jieyang People's Hospital from December 2018 to May 2021 were retrospectively analyzed. Different doses venetoclax combined with demethylation drugs or low-dose chemotherapy regimen were used to analyze the therapeutic efficacy. The related factors influencing efficacy were analyzed by using logistic regression.Results:The composite complete remission (CR) rate of 50 AML patients was 62.0% (31/50), the overall response rate (ORR) was 76.0% (38/50); 28 patients achieved effectiveness [CR and partial remission (PR)] after the first cycle and could achieve effectiveness by 3 courses of treatment at the latest. Among 50 patients, 28 cases were newly diagnosed AML, the composite CR rate was 60.8% (17/28), ORR was 78.6% (22/28); 22 cases were recurrent and relapsed, the composite CR rate was 63.6% (14/22), ORR was 72.7% (16/22); and there was no statistically significant difference of ORR between the both groups ( χ2 = 0.23, P = 0.743). Logistic regression multivariate analysis showed age was the only independent influencing factor for the treatment effectiveness ( OR = 8.451, 95% CI 1.306-54.697, P = 0.025). The median duration time of patients receiving venetoclax treatment regimen was 4.5 months (1.1-15.0 months); 16 cases who had treatment effectiveness finally relapsed, the median time of maintaining effectiveness was 5 months (1.1-11.0 months). Additionally, the common treatment-related adverse reactions included bone marrow suppression after treatment, followed by some gastrointestinal reactions like nausea, vomiting and stomachache. In addition, no patient stopped medication for more than 1 week due to bone marrow suppression related complications. Conclusion:Venetoclax-based combined regimen shows a good short-term efficacy in treatment of AML. It is also effective and tolerable for elderly patients receiving reduced dose therapy.

AIM To establish an HPLC method for the simultaneous content determination of calycosin-7-glucoside,ononin,calycosin,formononetin,oxypaeoniflorin,alibiflorin and benzoylpaeoniflorin in Sangqishouwu Tablets (Talxilli Herba,Astragali Radix,Polygoni multiflori Radix Praeparata,etc.).METHODS The analysis of methanol extract of this drug was performed on a 25 ℃ thermostatic Diamonsil C18 colmn (250 mm × 4.6 mm,5 μm),with the mobile phase comprising of acetonitrile-0.02％ phosphoric acid flowing at 0.9 mL/min in a gradient elution manner,and the detection wavelengths were set at 230 nm and 254 nm.RESULTS Seven constituents showed good linear relationships within their own ranges (r ≥ 0.999 2),whose average recoveries were 97.13％-100.03％ with the RSDs of 0.69％-1.47％.CONCLUSION This sensitive,accurate and specific method can be used for the rapid quality control of Sangqishouwu Tablets.

Objective To discuss the association of allele polymorphisms SNP-rs1799724(C>T)in the TNF-αand SNP-rs11559013(G>A)in the ALCAM with HCV chronic infection in Han population in Yunnan province. Methods 434 HCV chronic infectious patients and 444 healthy individuals of Han Chinese population in Yunnan province were recruited. Two single nucleotide polymorphisms(SNPs)in the SNP-rs1799724(C>T) of TNF-αgene and SNP-rs11559013(G>A)of ALCAM gene were determined by real-time TaqMan polymerase chain reaction. We evaluated the associations of the two SNPs with HCV chronic infection. Results The distributions of allele and genotype of SNP-rs1799724(C>T)in the TNF-αand SNP-rs11559013(G>A)in the ALCAM between hepatitis C virus(HCV)chronic infectious patients and the healthy controls were not statistically significant(P > 0.05). Conclusion SNP-rs1799724(C>T)in the TNF-αand SNP-rs11559013(G>A) in the ALCAM have no association with HCV chronic infection in the Han population in Yunnan province.

Objective To evaluate clinical performance on dry chemistry method of Vitros 350 for the determination of serum bilirubin in order to ensure the quality of examination.Methods Evaluation protocols were employed to evaluate the precision,the trueness and the linearity of total bilirubin(TBIL),unconjugated bilirubin (Bu)and conjugated bilirubin (Bc)by dry chemistry method,to verify the reference ranges of TBIL,Bu and Bc simultaneously.Results The precision and trueness of TBIL,Bu and Bc were within the allowable ranges of Clinical and Laboratory Ltandards Institute (CLSI).The linear range of TBIL,Bu and Bc in our laboratory were 6.57-428.83 μmol/L,4.5-320.1 μmol/L and 4.5-364.9 μmol/L respectively.Conclusion Both technical per-formance evaluation and diagnostic performance verification of bilirubin by dry chemical detection system could meet the needs of the clinic.

Objective:To investigate the inhibitory effects produced by combination of carboplatin ( CA) and Tanshinone ( TA) on the growth of B16.Methods:After the mice were injected B16 subcutaneously in the right thigh, the mice were divided into four groups,PBS group,TA group,CA group,and TA+CA group.Normal mice were set up as control.Mice of PBS group were injected 0.2 ml PBS intraperitoneally;mice of CA group were injected 0.5 mg CA intraperitoneally for four consecutive days and followed by four days without administration until the mice were killed;mice of CA+TA group were injected 0.5 mg CA intraperitoneally for four consecutive days and followed by four days without administration,TA (0.5 g/kg body weight) was administered to the mice through gastric injection every day until the mice were killed.Results:The tumor weight and volume of CA+TA mice were significantly smaller than those of CA mice,TA mice and PBS mice ( P<0.05 );the tumor weight and volume of CA mice were significantly smaller than those of TA mice and PBS mice (P<0.05).The body weight grow of TA+CA mice was more significant than that of TA mice and CA mice( P<0.05).Conclusion:Combination of carboplatin (CA) and Tanshinone (TA) will produce a better inhibitory effects on the growth of B16 cells.

Objective To observe the impact of coal-burning-borne fluorosis on the opening day of vagina,and estrogen cycle and endocrinology of female rat.Methods Ninety weaned two weeks and healthy female SD rats,weighing 60-80 g were selected,and divided into three groups by body weight using random number table:control group,moderate fluoride exposed group,and higher fluoride exposed group,thirty rates in each group.Rats in fluoride exposed groups were fed with baked corn collected from coal-burning-borne fluorosis areas containing different levels of fluorine(fluorine contents were 47.8 and 96.0 mg/kg,respectively) to establish coal-burning-borne fluorosis models.The corn fed to control group rats were collected from non-endemic areas (fluoride content was 5.2 mg/kg).After exposed to fluoride for 60,120 and 180 days,the rats were put to death during estrus in three batches (10 rats in every batche).The situation of female vaginal opening was observed and recorded every morning at 8:00 at the beginning of the experiment.Ten female rats in each group were randomly selected to observe vaginal exfoliated cells for 10 days continuously every morning,and HE staining was selected to discriminate estrogen cycle.Femoral artery blood was collected to observe the impact of estradiol(E2) in estrus.Results The vaginal opening day age of the longer fluoride exposed group [(49.0 ± 4.5)d] was longer than that of the control group[(45.4 ± 2.3)d] and the moderate fluoride exposed group[(46.7 ± 1.9)d,all P ＜ 0.05].Estrogen cycle of the longer fluoride exposed group[(5.8 ± 0.8)d] after fluoride exposure for 120 d was higher than that of the control group [(4.4 + 0.9)d] and the moderate fluoride exposed group [(4.9 ± 0.7)d,all P ＜ 0.05].Estrogen cycle increased with increasing dosage of fluoride after fluoride exposure for 180 d in three groups [control group:(4.3 ± 0.7)d,moderate fluoride exposed group:(5.4 ± 1.1)d,higher fluoride exposed group:(6.7 + 0.9)d,all P ＜ 0.05].Estrogen cycle in higher fluoride exposed group at 180 d[(6.7 ± 0.9)d] was higher than that of 60 d and 120 d[(5.2 ± 1.1),(5.8 ± 0.8)d,all P ＜ 0.05].At 60 d after exposed to fluoride,E2 levels of fluoride exposed groups were increased[control group:(30.125 ± 94.17)ng/L,moderate fluoride exposed group:(438.75 ± 71.80) ng/L],higher fluoride exposed group (456.25 ± 57.80)ng/L with increasing dosage of fluoride (all P ＜ 0.05).E2 level in rats exposed to fluoride for 180 d [(275.00 ± 127.83)ng/L] was lower than that of 60 d and 120 d [(456.25 ± 57.80),(392.50 ± 102.50)ng/L,all P ＜ 0.05] in higher fluoride exposed groups.Conclusions Coal-burning-borne fluorosis has a significant effect on vaginal opening day age,estrogen cycle and endocrinology of female rats.The higher the fluoride dose,and the longer the exposure time,the more severe the impact.
