Objective:
To analyze the relationship of gross motor skills and perceptual motor abilities with physical activity levels in preschool children in a Beijing kindergarten, so as to provide a reference for promoting the development of motor competence.
Methods:
From September 2018 to March 2021, preschoolers aged 4-5 years were selected using convenience sampling method from an urban kindergarten in Beijing. The Test of Gross Motor Development-Third Version(TGMD-3) was used to assess basic preschoolers s gross motor skills ( n =152). The Pictorial Scale of Perceived Movement Skill Competence(PMSC) was used to evaluate perceptual motor skills ( n =151). Accelerometers (Actigraph GT3X) were used to record physical activity levels ( n =52). Data were analyzed using one way analysis of variance (ANOVA) and Pearson correlation coefficients.
Results:
The mean scores for gross motor skills and perceptual motor abilities were (38.76±13.48) and (35.49±6.50), respectively. The moderate to vigorous physical activity(MVPA) level was(52.60±27.44) minutes per day. No statistically significant correlations were found between gross motor skills, perceptual motor abilities MVPA among boys, girls or the overall group ( r =-0.20 to 0.25, all P >0.05). However, Boys locomotor skills, overall children s locomotor skills, and boys gross motor skills were all positively correlated with MVPA( r =0.34-0.45, all P <0.05).
Conclusion
There is a correlation between locomotor skills and physical activity levels in 4 to 5-year-old children.

ObjectiveTo analyze the epidemiological and clinical characteristics of the 21 confirmed monkeypox cases in a district of Chengdu City, and to provide scientific guidance for the prevention and control of subsequent monkeypox epidemics. MethodsData of confirmed monkeypox cases residing in this district were collected from the Disease Control and Prevention Information System of China. A retrospective descriptive epidemiological analysis was used to analyze the demographic, distributional and behavioral characteristics of the cases. ResultsThe first confirmed case of monkeypox was reported on July 5, 2023. Up to April 30, 2025, a total of 21 confirmed cases of monkeypox have been reported. All cases were male, with a mean age of (30.9±6.2) years. The highest proportion of cases(47.62%) was in the 30‒40 years age group. The majority were men who have sex with men (MSM) population (90.48%, 19/21). The results showed that 19.05% of cases were co-infected with HIV, and 19.05% had a history of syphilis infection. Within 21 days prior to symptom onset, 19 cases (90.48%) self-reported engaging in male-to-male sexual contact, among whom 10 cases (52.63%) reported having taken protective measures, while 9 cases (47.37%) did not take safety precautions. Thirteen cases (61.90%) had no travel history to areas with reported monkeypox cases during the 21 days before symptom onset. The predominant manifestation was exanthem (100%, 21/21), followed by fever (57.14%, 12/21) and lymphadenectasis (47.62%, 10/21). Among febrile cases, 50.00% (6/12) had low-grade fever (37.3‒38.0 ℃). All cases were identified through active medical consultation. The median interval from symptom onset to the first medical visit was 3 (2, 6) days, with a maximum interval of 14 days. The median interval from symptom onset to laboratory confirmation was 7 (5, 9) days. Six cases (28.57%) had two or more visits to the hospital, with bacterial infection being the primary initial diagnosis. ConclusionMonkeypox prevention and control efforts in a district of Chengdu City should prioritize MSM population and young and middle-aged adults aged 30 to <40 years. It is recommended to establish an integrated monkeypox epidemic prevention and control network by leveraging existing HIV/AIDS prevention and control network. Concurrently, accelerating the deployment of the national intelligent infectious disease monitoring and early warning front-end software will strengthen early detection capabilities and be beneficial for the overall effectiveness of epidemic prevention and control efforts.
3.Exploring Ameliorating Mechanism of Qinlian Jiangxia Decoction for Glucose and Lipid Metabolism Disorders Based on Integrated Pharmacology
Chinese Journal of Experimental Traditional Medical Formulae 2026;32(14):237-246
ObjectiveTo investigate the pharmacological basis and mechanism of Qinlian Jiangxia decoction (QLJXD) in the treatment of glucose and lipid metabolism disorders. MethodsThe Encyclopedia of Traditional Chinese Medicine (ETCM) and the GeneCards database were used to predict the active components and targets of QLJXD in the treatment of type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) combined with dyslipidemia. The key components and core targets were screened following protein-protein interaction (PPI) network, Gene Ontology (GO), and Kyoto Encyclopedia of Genes and Genomes (KEGG) analyses of the targets and then verified by molecular docking. SD rats were used to prepare the QLJXD-medicated serum, and a 3T3-L1 adipocyte model of insulin resistance (IR) was constructed with 1 μmol·L-1 dexamethasone (DEX). After intervention with four sera, cell glucose consumption and lipid metabolism levels were measured to screen the optimal action concentration of the medicated serum. A 3T3-L1 adipocyte model of IR with fatty acid-binding protein 4 (FABP4) overexpression was further constructed by plasmid transfection. Western blot and Real-time quantitative PCR (Real-time PCR) were employed to determine the expression of FABP4 and peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor γ (PPARG) at protein and mRNA levels, respectively, on the basis of which the regulatory effect of QLJXD on the FABP4/PPARG pathway was evaluated. ResultsNetwork pharmacology revealed that the key active components of QLJXD in treating T2DM complicated with dyslipidemia were baicalein, acacetin, and α-linolenic acid, and FABP1, FABP4, and PPARG were the core targets. Molecular docking showed good binding activity between the key components and core targets. QLJXD-medicated serum improved the glucose uptake capacity, increased insulin (INS)-stimulated glucose consumption (P<0.01), and reduced total cholesterol (TC), triglyceride (TG), and free fatty acid (FFA) levels (P<0.01) in the 3T3-L1 adipocyte model of IR, with the medium-dose-medicated serum demonstrating the most potent effects. Overexpression of FABP4 impaired the glucose uptake capacity in the 3T3-L1 adipocyte model of IR and promoted intracellular accumulation of TC, TG, and FFA (P<0.05). The medium-dose-medicated serum improved glucose uptake capacity and reduced the accumulation of TC, TG, and FFA (P<0.01), while decreasing the protein and mRNA expression levels of FABP4 and concomitantly increasing the protein and mRNA levels of PPARG (P<0.05) in the 3T3-L1 adipocyte model of IR with FABP4 overexpression. ConclusionThe QLJXD-medicated serum has been evidenced to ameliorate glucose and lipid metabolism disorders in the 3T3-L1 adipocyte model of IR through multiple components, with the mechanism related to the FABP4/PPARG signaling pathway.

In this study,a sensitive lateral flow immunoassay(LFIA)platform based on carbon dots-mesoporous silica nanocomposite(CD-MSNs)fluorescent probes was constructed for high-performance detection of inflammatory marker interleukin-6(IL-6).Green fluorescent carbon dots(CDs)were prepared by hydrothermal method with 3,9-perylenic acid and 3-aminopropyltriethoxysilane(APTES)as raw materials, and highly fluorescent CD-MSNs composites were then constructed by encapsulating the prepared CDs in mesoporous silica nanoparticles(MSNs).Fluorescent probes were prepared by covalent coupling of CD-MSNs with IL-6 antibody.Fluorescent immunochromatographic test strips were constructed by spraying IL-6 capture antibody and goat anti-mouse IgG on nitrocellulose membrane as detection line(T-line)and quality control line(C-line),respectively.The fluorescence immunoassay analyzer was used to quantitatively detect the fluorescence intensity of T-line,and the experimental results showed that the LFIA platform based on this probe had a good linear relationship in IL-6 concentration range of 102-106 pg/mL,and the detection limit was 64 pg/mL,which was two orders of magnitude more sensitive than that of the traditional colloidal gold test strips. This method effectively solved the issue of insufficient sensitivity of traditional LFIA technique, and provided a rapid and highly sensitive detection method for early diagnosis of inflammatory diseases.

Due to the poor ionization efficiency and the weak mass spectrometry(MS)intensity of weakly polar substances, direct analysis using the traditional electrospray ionization mass spectrometry(ESI-MS)is a big challenge. In this study,a novel rapid on-site detection method of four prohibited sex hormones in cosmetics was proposed using online derivatization strategy coupled with a miniature mass spectrometer. The target substances in the samples were extracted by a custom-made polyaniline/multi-walled carbon nanotube solid-phase microextraction(SPME)probe. The stirring speed was 200 r/min,the extraction temperature was 40℃,and the extraction time was 2 min.A pulled dual-channel θ borosilicate glass capillary emitter was used as the nano-ESI ion source. The SPME probe was inserted into the channel containing methanol in theθborosilicate glass capillary. When the spray voltage was applied, the four sex hormones were desorbed and formed spray microdroplets, which then collided with the hydroxylamine microdroplets generated from the other channel. The microdroplets of reaction product entered into the miniature mass spectrometer for direct analysis. The limits of detection(LOD)and limits of quantification(LOQ)for the four sex hormones were 10-20 ng/mL and 20-50 ng/mL,respectively.The recoveries were from 84.6%to 107.8%with the relative standard deviations(RSD)from 4.1%to 11.6%.Compared to detection without derivatization, the MS signals of the four target substances were increased by 3 to 15 times. This method was simple, rapid, highly efficient and sensitive, and suitable for on-site rapid analysis of weakly polar sex hormones in cosmetics.

Surface enhanced Raman scattering(SERS)is an important technique for detecting pesticide residues. However, many pesticides have small Raman scattering cross sections and low affinity for gold/silver enhancement substrates, resulting in low sensitivity for direct SERS detection.Indirect methods typically require complex surface modifications and have poor universality. Here,a dual functional composite Au@MnO2 combined with acetylcholinesterase(AChE)was proposed for SERS biosensing of pesticides. The Au@MnO2 with oxidase-like activity could oxidize 3,3′,5,5′-tetramethylbenzidine(TMB)into oxTMB with a large Raman scattering cross section, producing strong SERS signal using Au@MnO2 itself as enhancement substrate. In the presence of AChE,acetylthiocholine(ATCh)was catalytically hydrolyzed to produce thiocholine(TCh),and its reducibility could induce the decomposition of MnO2.Consequently,oxidase-like activity of Au@MnO2 was declined, less oxTMB was produced, and gold nanoparticles(AuNPs)detached from the MnO2 layer, resulting in a weakened SERS response.Organophosphorus pesticides(OPs),as inhibitors of AChE,prevented the production of TCh,thereby blocking the decomposition of MnO2 and leading to the recovery of Raman signals.Under optimized conditions, the Raman signal switching strategy was successfully used for detection of three OPs,i.e.,fenthion,chlorpyrifos,and methyl parathion, with detection limits of 4×10-11 mol/L,2×10-9 mol/L,and 3×10-9 mol/L,respectively.In actual spinach sample testing, the spiked recoveries of the three OPs ranged from 86.5%to 110.6%.This study provided a new strategy for detecting pesticide residues using SERS.

Journal of Guangzhou University of Traditional Chinese Medicine 2025;42(4):1007-1012
Autoimmune disease is a kind of disease characterized by immune imbalance, abnormal activation of immune cells, massive production of inflammatory factors and immune complexes, which leads to the damage of multiple organs and systems.Autoimmune disease is easy to recur in clinical practice. The previous studies showed that there is a correlation between dampness syndrome in traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)and immune dysfunction. This paper explains the theoretical basis for the correlation between dampness syndrome of TCM and the recurrence of autoimmune diseases, and the similarities between the two in macro appearance, pathogenesis characteristics, etc.,analyzes the possible correlation about biological mechanism between dampness syndrome and autoimmune diseases, and discussed the correlation between pathogenic dampness of TCM and the recurrence of autoimmune diseases such as psoriasis, rheumatoid arthritis, ulcerative colitis, and nephrotic syndrome. It is pointed out that pathogenic dampness of TCM is an important pathogenic factor for the recurrence of autoimmune diseases, and is closely related to the recurrence of autoimmune diseases.Autoimmune diseases can be treated from the perspective of pathogenic dampness in TCM,and therapy of invigorating spleen, replenishing qi and removing dampness is frequently adopted, which is beneficial to alleviating the clinical symptoms of patients and reducing the recurrence of autoimmune disease.

Objective:
To explore the plasma metabonomic characteristics of patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus and turbid toxin accumulation syndrome.
Methods:
One hundred and three patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus and turbid toxin accumulation syndrome were enrolled from November 2023 to February 2024 in the First Teaching Hospital of Tianjin University of Traditional Chinese Medicine and 54 healthy individuals were recruited. The general data of the two groups were analyzed, and the plasma metabolite content was detected using ultra-high performance liquid chromatography-Orbitrap mass spectrometry. Construct an orthogonal partial least squares discriminant analysis model to screen metabolites with significant intergroup changes. The variable importance in projection≥ 1, |log2FC|>1, and P<0.05 were used as the criteria for the screening of differential metabolites. Annotate differential metabolites using internal databases and the human metabolome database, and perform pathway analysis using MetaboAnalyst website.
Results:
There was no statistically significant difference in gender and age between the two groups.Seventeen potential differential metabolites were identified. The D-4′-phosphopantothenate, 2, 6-dichloroindophenol, 4-methylphenol, hypoxanthine, 11, 12-epoxyeicosatrienoic acids, oleamide, 3-phenyllactic acid contents were higher in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus and turbid toxin accumulation syndrome than in healthy individuals(P<0.05); 3-anisic acid, 3-iodo-octadecanoic acid, mebendazole, β-alanine, citric acid, trans-aconitic acid, geranyl diphosphate, lysophosphatidylcholine(18∶2), phosphatidylethanolamine(18∶1), and caprolactam contents were lower in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus and turbid toxin accumulation syndrome than in healthy individuals(P<0.05). Ten metabolic pathways were identified, including the key metabolic pantothenate and coenzyme A biosynthesis pathways.
Conclusion
Metabolic differences were observed between patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus and turbid toxin accumulation syndrome and healthy individuals, and the underlying mechanism may involve the pantothenate and coenzyme A biosynthesis pathways, jointly mediated by D-4′-phosphopantothenate and β-alanine.
