Objective To investigate the effect of operation mode,thickness,and number of implanted electrode leads on tricuspid regurgitation.Methods This was a single-center retrospective study.Patients who received their first cardiac implantable electronic device at the Second Affiliated Hospital of Harbin Medical University from January 2019 to January 2024 and were followed up within(10±4)months were continuously enrolled.General clinical data,preoperative and outpatient follow-up echocardiography,and other indicators were collected.According to the different operation modes,patients were divided into delivery sheath group,support wire group,and delivery sheath combined support wire group.Under the premise of only one electrode wire crossing the tricuspid valve,according to the different thicknesses of the electrode wire,they were divided into 3830 69 group(4.1 F),5076 58/Solia S60 group(7 F),and 6935M-65cm defibrillator group(9 F).The number of electrode wires was divided into 3830 69 subgroup and 6935M-65cm defibrillator subgroup under the premise of balanced operation mode and electrode material.The changes in tricuspid valve regurgitation were compared in each group.Results A total of 219 patients,aged(65.92±12.04)years,were enrolled.There was no difference in tricuspid valve regurgitation in the 6935M-65cm defibrillator subgroup before implantation(all P＞0.05).In the 3830 69 subgroup,there was a higher proportion of severe regurgitation in the two-electrode group before implantation(P=0.013).In comparison with the change in tricuspid valve regurgitation before electrode wire implantation and during follow-up,the regurgitation of the tricuspid valve in the 6935M-65cm defibrillator subgroup with≥2 electrodes was unexpectedly improved compared to that in the group with one electrode,and the regurgitation of the valve in the group with one electrode was more severe than that in the group with ≥ 2 electrodes implantation(P=0.019).Conclusions The operation mode and thickness of the implanted electrode lead did not cause significant differences in tricuspid valve regurgitation.Single implantation of a 6935M-65cm defibrillator electrode will lead to increased tricuspid regurgitation,and the effect brought by combination with physiological pacing will offset the adverse effects of electrode leads on the valve,providing directional evidence for future implantation strategy selection.

Objective:To explore the clinical effects of sterilization of vas deferens by irrigation in clinic.Methods:Eighty-six male patients with voluntary sterilization were divided into control group(usual vasectomy,n=50)and observation group(sterilization of vas deferens by irrigation,n=36).The age,testicular volume,preoperative average concentration of spern,serum testosterone level,recovery duration evaluated by Artificial Obstruction Azoospermia(AOA)and degree of satisfaction were compared between the two groups of patients.Results:There were significant differences in recovery duration,degree of satisfaction between the two groups(P＜0.05).And there was no significant difference in age([32.0±5.5]years vs[31.0±6.3]years),testicular volume([16.0±4.8]mL vs[17.0±4.4]mL),preopera-tive average concentration of sperm([39.6±20.2]× 106/mL vs[40.2±22.6]× 106/mL)and levels of blood testosterone([4.3±0.8]ng/mL vs[4.4±0.8]ng/mL).There was significant difference in patency rate between the two sides of testicular ducts(91.7％vs 83.3％,P＜0.05).Conclusion:The method of sterilization of vas deferens by irrigation is worth popularizing in clinic.

Objective To introduce how to import and analyze data using the Research Electronic Data Capture(REDCap)system,taking a multi-center randomized controlled clinical research of total knee arthroplasty as an example.Methods Various tools within the REDCap system,including data import tools,data export functions,reports and statistics,project dashboards,and coding manuals,were used to systematically process and analyze the multi-center randomized controlled clinical trial data for total knee arthroplasty.Initially,electronically collected clinical data were adjusted and standardized,then uploaded in bulk to the system using the REDCap data import tool.Subsequently,the data were organized through REDCap's data export feature,and basic descriptive statistical analysis was performed using its reporting and statistical functions to ensure data quality and completeness.Results An electronic data collection and management platform for clinical research on knee osteoarthritis wase successfully created by the REDCap system.The platform enabled real-time data collection from multiple centers,and ensured data accuracy and consistency through built-in data management and quality control mechanisms.With the statistical analysis features of REDCap,the research team could monitor the progress of data in real time,conduct effective quality assessments,and perform dynamic analysis for further in-depth statistical evaluations.Conclusion The REDCap system can be used not only to build a new clinical research project,but also to import and analyze data that has been previously digitized of ongoing clinical researches into the system,which improved the scientificity of data management and research efficiency.

Objective To investigate the expression of serum long non-coding RNA X-inactive specific transcript(lncRNA XIST)and microRNA-126-3p(miR-126-3p)in patients with non-small cell lung cancer(NSCLC),and their relationship with recurrence after radical surgery.Methods A total of 108 NSCLC patients who underwent radical surgery and were admitted to General Hospital of Southern Theater Command of the People's Liberation Army of China from February 2019 to October 2020 were selected as the NSCLC group,and 52 healthy volunteers who underwent physical examination in this hospital were selected as the control group.qRT-PCR method was used to detect the relative expression levels of serum lncRNA XIST and miR-126-3p.Pearson method was used to analyze the correlation between serum lncRNA XIST and miR-126-3p expression.Logistic regression analysis was used to analyze the influencing factors of postoperative recurrence in NSCLC patients.Receiver operating characteristic(ROC)curve was used to evaluate the predictive value of serum lncRNA XIST and miR-126-3p on postoperative recurrence in patients.Results The expression level of serum lncRNA XIST in the NSCLC group was higher than that in the control group(P<0.05),while the expression level of miR-126-3p was lower than that in the control group(P<0.05).The expression levels of serum lncRNA XIST and miR-126-3p were related to TNM staging and lymph node metastasis(P<0.05).Bioinformatics website predicted that there was a targeted binding site between lncRNA XIST and miR-126-3p,and serum lncRNA XIST was negatively correlated with miR-126-3p expression(r=-0.579,P<0.05).Compared with the non-recurrent group,the expression level of serum lncRNA XIST in the recurrent group increased(P<0.05),while the expression level of miR-126-3p in the recurrent group decreased(P<0.05).Logistic regression analysis results showed that lncRNA XIST,miR-126-3p,lymph node metastasis,and TNM staging were the influencing factors for postoperative recurrence in NSCLC patients(P<0.05).The area under the curve(AUC)of serum lncRNA XIST,miR-126-3p,and the combination of the two in prediction of postoperative recurrence in NSCLC patients were 0.750,0.886,and 0.933,respectively,the combined prediction of the two was superior to individual prediction(Zcombination vs.lncRNA XIST=4.076,Zcombination vs.miR-126-3p=2.065,P<0.05).Conclusion The expression of serum lncRNA XIST is increased and miR-126-3p is decreased in NSCLC patients,both of which have certain predictive value for recurrence after radical surgery in patients.

Objective:To investigate the radioactivity levels and variation trends of 90Sr in drinking water and food around the Qinshan Nuclear Power Plant in operation. Methods:From 2012 to 2022, the source, factory, and tap water was collected within 30 km around the Qinshan Nuclear Power Plant during the wet and dry seasons (i.e., May and October, respectively) each year to determine the 90Sr concentration in water. According to the dietary habits of local residents, four kinds of food, including rice, cabbage, mullet, and crucian carp, were collected to determine and analyze the 90Sr radioactivity concentration in food using the bis-(2-ethylhexyl) phosphoric acid extraction chromatographic method. Results:From 2012 to 2022, the 90Sr radioactivity concentrations in the source, factory, and tap water around the Qinshan Nuclear Power Plant ranged from 3.73 to 11.89 mBq/L, 2.95 to 9.83 mBq/L, and 3.12 to 8.70 mBq/L, respectively, showing nonsignificant fluctuations over the years. The 90Sr radioactivity concentrations in rice, cabbage, mullet, and crucian carp ranged from 0.02 to 0.46 Bq/kg (dry weight), 0.26 to 1.07 Bq/kg (fresh weight), 0.38 to 1.05 Bq/kg (fresh weight), and 0.08 to 1.32 Bq/kg (fresh weight), respectively, all below the national standard limits. Conclusions:From 2012 to 2022, the 90Sr radioactivity levels in drinking water and food around the Qinshan Nuclear Power Plant were at the background level and remained stable.

To promote the development of radiological health by means of high quality and efficient quality control measures is worthy of further discussion and practice. There are 34 radiological health technical service institutions (including 11 Grade A ones), 36 occupational health examination institutions for radiation workers, and 4 radiation disease diagnosis institutions in Zhejiang province. Zhejiang Provincial Health Commission approved the establishment of Zhejiang Provincial Radiological Health Technical Service Quality Control Center and Zhejiang Provincial Occupational Health Technical Service Quality Control Center in 2012 and 2021, respectively, both under the leadship of Zhejiang Provincial Center for Disease Prevention and Control. Through constructing a multi-dimensional closed-loop quality control system, a great progress has been made in efforts in radiological health of Zhejiang province.

Objective To investigate the influence of helical tomographic radiotherapy plans with different combinations of lead gate width,pitch and algorithms on threading effects.Methods A target model was established with a Cheese Phantom used as the simulated human body,then three lead gate widths(1.0,2.5,and 5.0 cm),six screw pitches(0.143,0.172,0.215,0.287,0.430,and 0.500)and two computational grids(Fine algorithm and Normal algorithm)were respectively combined for designing the helical tomography radiotherapy plans.The radiotherapy plans with a pitch of 0.143,0.172,0.215,0.287 or 0.430 were enrolled into an experimental group,and the plans with a pitch of 0.500 were divided into a control group.The dosimetric parameters including maximum dose(Dmax),minimum dose(Dmin)and mean dose(Dmean)of the target area PTV1 and PTV2 were evaluated by the dose volume histogram(DVH).The dose homogeneity index(HI)of the target area was calculated,and the single rotation time and total treatment time of each plan were recorded and counted.SPSS 27.0 software was used for statistical analysis.Results No significant threading effect appeared regardless of the pitch value when the lead gate width was 1.0 cm.The threading effects in the experimental group were weaker than those in the control group when the lead gate width was 2.5 or 5.0 cm.The threading effect gradually rose with the pitch increased when the lead gate width was 5.0 cm.The most significant difference was found between the threading effect in case of the screw pitch being 0.500 and that with the screw pitch being 0.143,with the differenes being statistically obvious(P<0.05).The lead gate width had significant effects on the Dmax,Dmin,Dmean and HI of PTV1 and PTV2.When the lead gate width was 5.0 cm,high HI value and uneven dose distribution were detected and lowered screw pitch weakened the threading effect.The single rotation time first remained constant and then increased with the screw pitch was enlarged,with the changing points occurring in case of the screw pitches of 0.287 and 0.430.With a certain lead gate width,the treatment time for plans was shortened with the decrease of the pitches in case of the pritches lower than 0.287,and tended to be constant after the screw pitches reached 0.287.The changes of the computational grid had no significant effects on the results of radiotherapy plans when the lead gate width and screw pitch were kept constant.Conclusion When designing a spiral tomotherapy plan with conventional doses,a lead gate width of 1.0 or 2.5 cm and a screw pitch of 0.287 or 0.430 should be selected in order to minimize the threading effect while ensuring the efficiency of plan implementation.[Chinese Medical Equipment Journal,2025,46(8):58-66]

Objective To understand the implementation status of"Diagnosis of Ascariasis"(WS/T 565-2017)and provide a scientific basis for promoting,revising,and improving the Standard.Methods Using the convenient sampling method,the investigation targeted professional and technical personnel at the provincial,city,county,and township levels engaged in parasitic disease prevention,control,or diagnosis and treatment in Anhui and Sichuan provinces.No less than 150 individuals were included in each province.The implementation survey of Diagnosis of Ascariasis(WS/T 565-2017)was conducted by the subjects completing a questionnaire by themselves.Results The response rate to the questionnaire was 91.90%(386/420).The awareness and utilization rates of the Standard were 81.87%and 49.22%,respectively and both increased with age(χ2 trend=7.977 and 19.016,respectively,P＜0.01).Respondents with college degrees(90.72%)had a higher awareness rate(χ2=8.619,P＜0.05).In terms of utilization rate,males(58.38%),those with college degrees(67.01%),staff members of provincial-level units(77.78%),and personnel in medical institutions(71.43%)had higher utilization rates(χ2=13.486,17.166,8.426,and 5.956,respectively,all P＜0.05).The survey indicated that 57.77%of the work units of respondents have conducted promotional activities,and 53.89%of the work units of respondents have sent personnel to participate in training.Moreover,this proportion tended to increase as the unit level decreased(χ2 trend=9.403 and 14.729,P＜0.01).The level of participation in publicity and training by medical institutions(89.29%)was significantly higher than that of disease control institutions(55.31%and 51.12%,respectively,χ2=12.290 and 15.225,P＜0.01).Furthermore,training participation is a crucial factor in enhancing awareness rates.A total of 368 respondents(95.34%)reported that their work units have conducted testing for ascariasis.Additionally,378 individuals(97.92%)believe that the Standard is"applicable"or"basically applicable,"while 369(95.60%)felt that no revisions were needed.Conclusions The results indicated that"Diagnosis of Ascariasis"(WS/T 565-2017)remains applicable to the diagnostic needs of ascariasis and it is recommended to strengthen its promotion and implementation.
