Objective:To explore the level of mental health literacy and its relationship with symptoms of de-pression,anxiety,and insomnia in young adults.Methods:A total of 10 273 young adults aged 18-23 in Guang-zhou were selected and assessed with the National Mental Health Literacy Questionnaire,Patient Health Question-naire-9(PHQ-9),General Anxiety Disorder 7-Item Scale(GAD-7)and Insomnia Severity Index(ISI).Results:Totally 1 137(11.1％)participants met the criteria for adequate mental health literacy,2 758(26.8％)participants were with symptoms of depression,1 355(13.2％)with symptoms of anxiety and 4 936(48.0％)experiencing symptoms of insomnia.Logistic regression analyses showed that after adjusting for other factors,substandard mental health literacy was an independent risk factor for symptoms of depression,anxiety and insomnia(OR=2.08,1.93,1.49;95％CI:1.74-2.48,1.52-2.46,1.31-1.70).Conclusion:The level of mental health literacy in young a-dults is insufficient,and the lack of mental health literacy is significantly associated with the symptoms of depres-sion,anxiety and insomnia.

The utilization of optimal orthodontic force is crucial to prevent undesirable side effects and ensure efficient tooth movement during orthodontic treatment.However,the sensitivity of existing detection techniques is not sufficient,and the criteria for evaluating optimal force have not been yet established.Here,by employing 3D finite element analysis methodology,we found that the apical distal region(A-D region)of mesial roots is particularly sensitive to orthodontic force in rats.Tartrate-resistant acidic phosphatase(TRAP)-positive osteoclasts began accumulating in the A-D region under the force of 40 grams(g),leading to alveolar bone resorption and tooth movement.When the force reached 80 g,TRAP-positive osteoclasts started appearing on the root surface in the A-D region.Additionally,micro-computed tomography revealed a significant root resorption at 80 g.Notably,the A-D region was identified as a major contributor to whole root resorption.It was determined that 40 g is the minimum effective force for tooth movement with minimal side effects according to the analysis of tooth movement,inclination,and hyalinization.These findings suggest that the A-D region with its changes on the root surface is an important consideration and sensitive indicator when evaluating orthodontic forces for a rat model.Collectively,our investigations into this region would aid in offering valuable implications for preventing and minimizing root resorption during patients'orthodontic treatment.

【Objective】 To conduct the laboratory quality assessment between 12 blood stations in Hebei province, analyze the results and explore the accuracy and comparability of testing, so as to improve the level of testing ability and quality management. 【Methods】 With reference to the external quality assessment rules of National Center for Clinical Laboratories and combined with the instructions of quality assessment samples, daily testing process of the laboratories were assessed. The quality indicators include blood cell count (WBC, RBC, Hb, HCT, MCV, MCH, MCHC and PLT), biochemical items (TP) and coagulation parameters (FIB and FⅧ). 【Results】 There are still problems in laboratories in terms of personnel operation, instrument maintenance and the impact of different reagent batches, especially in biochemical items and coagulation parameters. The pass rate of biochemical items was the lowest, only 72.75%, and that of blood cell count was the highest, reaching 98.75%. 【Conclusion】 With the progress of the project, the quality monitoring level of daily blood sampling tests in the quality control laboratory of each blood station has been improved. However, it is still necessary for each laboratory to improve the testing ability and quality management to a higher level in Hebei.

BackgroundPatients with schizophrenia are at high risk of suffering from metabolic syndrome. Most previous studies on the influencing factors of metabolic syndrome focused on the inpatients and limited ones on patients dwelling in community. ObjectiveTo explore the influencing factors at different risk levels of metabolic syndrome in community-dwelling patients with schizophrenia in Guangzhou， so as to provide references for future interventions on metabolic syndrome in this patient population. MethodsIn November 2021， 3 339 patients with schizophrenia who were registered in and administered by Guangzhou Mental Health Information System were included. All these patients had finished the physical examination in 2020， and whether they had metabolic syndrome was assessed basing on Guideline for the prevention and treatment of type 2 diabetes mellitus in China （2020 edition）. Patients were divided into high-risk group （n=423）， critical group （n=1 524） and metabolic syndrome group （n=1 392） according to the Chinese expert consensus on the management of metabolic syndrome in patients with schizophrenia. Multiple logistic regression analysis were performed on the risk factors of metabolic syndrome in community-dwelling patients with schizophrenia. ResultsThe prevalence rate of metabolic syndrome in community-dwelling patients with schizophrenia was 41.69%. Univariate analysis showed that the results in gender （χ²=44.610）， age （χ²=55.992）， marriage status （χ²=30.755）， illness course （χ²=25.913） and body mass index （χ²=829.265） were significantly different among the three groups （P<0.01）. Kruskal-Wallis H test showed that the levels of waist circumference （H=920.331）， systolic blood pressure （H=436.673）， diastolic blood pressure （H=393.337）， fasting blood glucose （H=807.304）， triglyceride （H=1 134.125） and high-density lipoprotein cholesterol （H=593.615） among the three groups were significantly different （P<0.01）. Logistic regression analysis showed that age ≥50 （OR=1.761， 95% CI： 1.087~2.853）， overweight （OR=2.418， 95% CI： 1.862~3.140） and obesity （OR=57.903， 95% CI： 14.340~233.802） were risk factors contributing to high-risk patients becoming critical population （P<0.05 or 0.01）. Female gender （OR=1.295， 95% CI： 1.034~1.622）， aged 40~49 （OR=2.597， 95% CI： 1.582~4.263）， age ≥50 （OR=4.392， 95% CI： 2.609~7.395）， overweight （OR=7.844， 95% CI： 6.018~10.223） and obesity （OR=426.785， 95% CI： 105.724~1 722.839） were risk factors for high-risk patients developing into metabolic syndrome population （P<0.05 or 0.01）. ConclusionThe prevalence rate of metabolic syndrome is higher in community-dwelling patients with schizophrenia. Objective:To explore the reasons for delayed medical seeking in patients with heart failure, and to provide new ideas for guiding patients with heart failure to seek medical treatment in time, increasing the scope of in-hospital and out-of-hospital nursing and optimizing the nursing mode.Methods:Using the purposive sampling method, patients with heart failure who had delayed medical seeking in Department of Cardiovascular Medicine in the Affiliated Hospital of Qingdao University were selected as the research objects from June to July 2020. Based on the theory of "health ecology model", 15 patients with heart failure were given semi-structured in-depth interviews. The descriptive phenomenological analysis method in qualitative research and Chinese version of Nvivo11.0 software were used to analyze and refine the interview data.Results:The delayed medical treatment time of 15 patients with heart failure was 7 to 44 days. The reasons for delayed medical seeking were summarized into 5 thematic groups, including insufficient symptom cognition, lack of disease management ability, cognition and experience of special population, insufficient family social support and medical delay.Conclusions:Medical staff should optimize the content and mode of health education for patients with heart failure, improve the self-management ability of patients with heart failure, timely identify special patients and give targeted intervention, and explore the way for patients with heart failure to obtain the support of high-quality medical resources outside the hospital so as to improve the occurrence of delayed medical treatment.

Cardiovascular disease is still the leading cause of mortality worldwide. Vascular endothelial dysfunction is viewed as the initial step of most cardiovascular diseases. Many studies have indicated that periodontal pathogens, especially Porphyromonas gingivalis, are closely correlated with vascular endothelial homeostasis, but the function of P. gingivalis and the underlying mechanisms are still elusive. To illuminate the effects and elucidate the mechanisms of P. gingivalis on endothelial structural integrity, we developed P. gingivalis infection models in vivo and in vitro. Endothelial cell proliferation, differentiation and apoptosis were detected. Here, we showed that P. gingivalis can impair endothelial integrity by inhibiting cell proliferation and inducing endothelial mesenchymal transformation and apoptosis of endothelial cells, which reduce the cell levels and cause the endothelium to lose its ability to repair itself. A mechanistic analysis showed that TLR antagonist or NF-κB signalling inhibitor can largely rescue the damaged integrity of the endothelium caused by P. gingivalis, suggesting that TLR-NF-κB signalling plays a vital role in vascular endothelial homeostasis destroyed by P. gingivalis. These results suggest a potential intervention method for the prevention and treatment of cardiovascular disease.

Objectives: To examine the effect of VAE and open surgery on the postoperativelocal recurrence of benign phyllodes tumors of breast and to investigate the clinical efficacy of VAE in the treatment of benign phyllodes tumors. Methods: The clinical data of 128 patients with benign phyllodes tumors of breast admitted to the Guangdong Women and Children Hospital from January 2013 to January 2018 were retrospectively analyzed. All patients were female, aged (37.7±9.1) years (range: 16 to 56 years). Eighty patients underwent ultrasound-guided VAE (minimally invasive group) and 48 patients underwent open surgery (open group). The t-test, χ² test or Fisher exact probability method were used to compare the clinical characteristics of the two groups of patients. Logistic regression was used to analyze the prognostic factors of postoperative local recurrence. Results: The maximum diameter of tumor in the minimally invasive group was smaller than that in the open group ((20.6±7.4) mm vs. (42.0±2.0) mm, t=-7.173, P=0.000). The follow-up time was (36.4±1.8) months (range: 12 to 71 months). There were 7 cases of local recurrences during the follow-up period. The local recurrence rates in the minimally invasive and open groups were 5.0% (4/80) and 6.3% (3/48). The results of multivariate analysis showed that the maximum tumor diameter of 25 mm was an independent prognosis factor for postoperativelocal recurrence (OR=0.122, 95%CI: 0.016 to 0.901, P=0.039). While surgical procedure, age, menopausal status and history of fibroadenomas in the ipsilateral breast is not an independent prognostic factor for postoperative local recurrence. In the minimally invasive surgery group, the local recurrence rates were 2.9% (2/69) and 2/11 in patients with tumor maximum diameters<25 mm and ≥25 mm, respectively. Conclusions Local recurrence of breast benign phyllodes tumors is closely related to the tumor size. For patients with tumor diameter<25 mm, the postoperative local recurrence rate of VAE is low, which can be used in clinical practice. Intraoperative complete resection to achieve a negative surgical margin should be guaranteed to avoid local recurrence.

Objective:To establish an evidence-based nursing practice standard for subcutaneous injection of low-molecular-weight heparin in inpatients so as to improve the evidence awareness of nurses and the standard rate of clinical practice and reduce the incidence of adverse reactions in patients.Methods:From June 2018 to June 2019, we analyzed the obstacle to evidence application and formulated available solutions according to the standard procedure of evidence-based continuous quality improvement and by combining promotion framework (i-PARIHS) . We selected 44 nurses and 80 patients of Department of Cardiovascular Medicine at a general Class Ⅲ Grade A hospital in Qingdao as the research object to carry out quality review and effect evaluation before evidence application, in the first round and the second round after evidence application.Results:In the second round of review after evidence application, the awareness and implementation rate were significantly improved, and the incidence of ecchymosis, induration, bleeding and the VAS score were significantly reduced with statistical differences ( P<0.05) . The department related work process was improved, and the evidence-based nursing practice standard for subcutaneous injection of low-molecular-weight heparin in inpatients was formed. Conclusions:The clinical development of the evidence-based project can standardize nurses' operation behavior of subcutaneous injection of low molecular weight heparin and reduce the incidence of adverse reactions in patients.

Objective:To understand the characteristics and differences of diarrhea-related symptoms caused by different pathogens, and the clinical features of various pathogens causing diarrhea.Methods:Etiology surveillance program was conducted among 20 provinces of China from 2010 to 2016. The acute diarrhea outpatients were collected from clinics or hospitals. A questionnaire was used to survey demographics and clinical features. VFeces samples were taken for laboratory detection of 22 common diarrhea pathogens, to detect and analyze the clinical symptom pattern characteristics of the patient’s.Results:A total of 38 950 outpatients were enrolled from 20 provinces of China. The positive rates of Rotavirus and Norovirus were the highest among the five diarrhea-causing viruses (Rotavirus: 18.29%, Norovirus: 13.06%). In the isolation and culture of 17 diarrhea-causing bacterial, Escherichia coli showed the highest positive rates (6.25%). The clinical features of bacterial diarrhea and viral diarrhea were mainly reflected in the results of fecal traits and routine examination, but pathogenic Vibrio infection was similar to viral diarrhea. Conclusion:Infectious diarrhea presents different characteristics due to various symptoms which can provide a basis for clinical diagnosis.
