Objective:
To understand the current status of short video addiction among vocational nursing students in higher vocational colleges (hereinafter referred to as "nursing students") and its related factors, so as to provide a reference for formulating online education programs in colleges.
Methods:
From March to May 2025, a stratified random sample of 2 223 nursing students from four vocational colleges in Henan Province was selected. Short Video Addiction Scale for College Students, Short form Egna Minnen av Barndoms Uppfostran for Chinese, Peer Rejection Scale, and University of California at Los Angels Loneliness Scale were used for investigation. Chi square test and multivariate Logistic regression analysis were used to explore the related factors of short video addiction among nursing students.
Results:
The detection rate of short video addiction of higher vocational nursing students was 26.95%, and the scores for avoidance, loss of control, inefficiency and withdrawal were (8.05±2.97) (10.24±3.09) (4.99±1.88) and (11.97±4.10), respectively. Multivariate Logistic regression analysis showed that sophomore year 2 ( OR=1.83, 95%CI =1.39-2.40), higher maternal education level (secondary school/vocational college: OR =1.34, 95% CI =1.06-1.68; college/undergraduate: OR =1.38, 95% CI =1.05-1.82), paternal overprotection ( OR=1.59, 95%CI =1.27-2.00), high peer rejection ( OR=1.40, 95%CI =1.19-1.66), and strong loneliness ( OR=1.57, 95%CI =1.07-2.28) were associated with a higher risk of short video addiction among nursing students (all P <0.05). Paternal affectionate and warm rearing style ( OR=0.82, 95%CI = 0.71- 0.95) was associated with a lower risk of short video addiction ( P <0.05).
Conclusions
The detection rate of short video addiction among nursing students is relatively high. Short video addiction is related to the nursing students grade, maternal education level, paternal overprotection and affectionate rearing style, peer rejection, and loneliness.

Objective:To explore the application value of cinematic rendering reconstruction technology in laparoscopic resection of giant adrenal tumors. Methods:As many as 21 patients with large adrenal tumors who underwent laparoscopic resection in Yongchuan Hospital Affiliated to Chongqing Medical University from January 2021 to January 2024 were retrospectively analyzed, with a median age of 54.0 (40.5, 58.0) years and a median tumor diameter of 7.3 (6.8, 8.8) cm. All patients underwent preoperative cinematic rendering 3D reconstruction imaging. All patients underwent enhanced CT scans. Their CT images were three-dimensionally reconstructed on the post-processing workstation platform. By changing image perspectives, adjusting the visualization of organs or blood vessels, and using physical volume rendering, real-shadow-rendered images were obtained. With these images, surgeons can intuitively understand important preoperative information, like the relationship between the tumor and surrounding organs and the path of tumor-feeding blood vessels, for preoperative planning. Following thorough preoperative preparation, laparoscopic transabdominal resection was performed. During surgery, 20 tumors were found to be located in the adrenal gland, and 1 in the retroperitoneum, with 13 on the left side and 8 on the right side. Preoperative cinematic rendering 3D imaging was consistent with intraoperative findings. Results:All 21 patients underwent successful surgeries, with an average operation time of (199.0±95.3) minutes, a median blood loss of 220 (150, 500) ml, and a median blood transfusion volume of 200 (150, 400) ml. No significant damage of vital organs or major blood vessels occurred, and there were no case of conversion to open surgery. Conclusions:For retroperitoneal giant adrenal tumors, utilizing cinematic rendering 3D reconstruction imaging enables a comprehensive understanding of the relationship between the tumor and surrounding organs and vessels preoperatively. This approach can reduce intraoperative bleeding and collateral injuries, improve the success rate of laparoscopic resection, and enhance overall surgical safety.

Objective:To evaluate the image quality and radiation dose in contrast-enhanced thoracic-abdominal-pelvic CT using automatic tube voltage modulation (ATVM) coupled with artificial intelligence iterative reconstruction (AIIR) versus routine tube voltage combined with Karl-3D iterative reconstruction (Karl-3D IR), and to determine the optimal noise level for AIIR in contrast-enhanced thoracic-abdominal-pelvic CT.Methods:A total of 100 patients who underwent contrast-enhanced thoracic-abdominal-pelvic CT examination in the Affiliated Hospital of Hebei University from April to October, 2023 were randomly divided into group A and group B using a random number table, with 50 patients in each group. Group A was scanned using ATVM, and images were reconstructed using AIIR with 1-5 noise levels. Group B was scanned using tube voltage 120 kVp and images were reconstructed with Karl-3D IR and noise level 5. The single-to-noise ratio (SNR), contrast-to-noise ratio (CNR), effective dose (E), and size-specific dose estimate (SSDE) were recorded or calculated for all patients or images. Subjective evaluations of all images were performed. The quality of the reconstructed images using AIIR with 1-5 noise levels were compared and the optimal noise level of AIIR for image reconstruction was determined. Image quality and radiation dose were statistically analyzed for Group A (image reconstruction with optimal AIIR noise level) and Group B.Results:The mean SNR and mean CNR of the reconstructed images using AIIR with noise levels 1, 2, and 3 in group A were higher than those using AIIR with noise levels 4 and 5. The images reconstructed using AIIR with noise levels 3 and 4 scored higher in subjective assessment than those reconstructed using AIIR with noise levels 1, 2, and 5. Therefore, noise level 3 was optimal for AIIR in reconstruction of contrast-enhanced thoracic-abdominal-pelvic CT images. The mean SNR, mean CNR, and subjective evaluation score of group A using AIIR with noise level 3 were higher than those of group B using Karl-3D IR with noise level 5 ( P<0.001). The mean SSDE and the mean E of group A were reduced by 46% and 41%, respectively, compared with those of group B. Conclusions:ATVM technology combined with the AIIR algorithm can improve image quality and reduced patient radiation dose in contrast-enhanced thoracic-abdominal-pelvic CT. Noise level 3 is optimal for AIIR in the reconstruction of arterial-phase and venous-phase contrast-enhanced thoracic-abdominal-pelvic CT images.

Chinese Journal of School Health 2025;46(12):1721-1726
Objective:
To explore the intervention effects of high intensity interval training (HIIT) on glucose metabolism, cortisol (Cor), and sleep quality among college students with comorbid depressive symptoms and obesity, so as to provide a reference for improving sleep quality among college students with comorbid depressive symptoms and obesity.
Methods:
In March 2023, 45 college students with comorbid depressive symptoms and obesity were recruited and randomly assigned to an exercise group ( n =23) and a control group ( n =22) by random number table method. The exercise group received HIIT intervention for 12 weeks, three times a week, while the control group received no intervention. Blood samples were collected from participants to measure fasting insulin (FINS), fasting blood glucose (FBG), homeostatic model assessment of insulin resistance (HOMA-IR), Cor, and Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index (PSQI) before and after intervention. Statistical analysis was performed using t-test, repeated measures analysis of variance (ANOVA), simple effect analysis.
Results:
The repeated measures ANOVA revealed statistically significant time×group interaction effects for body composition (weight, body mass index, percentage of body fat, fat mass, waist to hip ratio), depressive symptoms, PSQI scores and its subdimensions (subjective sleep quality, sleep onset time, sleep efficiency, sleep disorders, daytime dysfunction), as well as FBG, FINS, and HOMA-IR between the exercise group and control group before and after intervention ( F =7.10-53.38, all P <0.05). Simple effect analysis showed that compared to the control group, the exercise group demonstrated significant improvements in body composition (body mass index, fat mass, waist to hip ratio), depressive symptoms, PSQI scores and its sub dimensions (subjective sleep quality, sleep onset time, sleep efficiency, sleep disorders, daytime dysfunction), FBG, FINS, HOMA-IR, and Cor (all P <0.05).
Conclusion
HIIT can improve the sleep quality of college students with comorbid depressive symptoms and obesity by enhancing glucose metabolism and regulating Cor levels.
