Objective To analyze the activity concentrations of gross α, gross β, and radionuclides in atmospheric fallout around Daya Bay Nuclear Power Plant from 2019 to 2022, and provide foundational scientific data for the healthy development of nuclear energy. Methods Five monitoring sites were set up at different distances (1.2, 6.9, 12.4, 42.3, and 69.2 km) from Daya Bay Nuclear Island 1. Stainless steel sampling barrels were used to collect atmospheric fallout, with a monitoring cycle of three months. The collected samples were ashed using radiochemical method. Subsequently, the gross α and gross β radioactivity were quantified using a low-background α/β measurement instrument. The remaining ash samples were mixed with water and left to equilibrate for over three weeks before γ-nuclide analysis using a low-background, high-purity germanium γ-spectrometer. Results The gross α activity concentration in atmospheric fallout around Daya Bay Nuclear Power Plant from 2019 to 2022 averaged (25.3 ± 10.6) Bq/m2/season and ranged from 5.8 to 73.4 Bq/m2/season. The gross α activity concentrations in sampling sites #1 to #5 were 5.8-34.4, 11.9-35.2, 14.4-46.4, 7.2-73.4, and 13.1-43.1 Bq/m2/season, respectively. The gross β activity concentration averaged (50.5 ± 23.4) Bq/m2/season and ranged from 13.9 to 139.3 Bq/m2/season. The gross β activity concentrations of sampling sites #1 to #5 were 17.1-107.4, 17.6-87.5, 25.8-102.0, 13.9-139.3, and 23.4-99.2 Bq/m2/season, resprctively. The activity concentrations of 238U, 226Ra, 232Th, 40K, 210Pb, and 7Be in atmospheric fallout were < lower limit of detection (LLD)-4.2, < LLD-5.8, < LLD-6.3, < LLD-42.1, < LLD-514.0, and 35.7-

Five meroterpenoids, rhodonoids K-M (1-2), daurichromene E (3), and grifolins A-B (4-5), together with seven known compounds (6-12), were isolated from Rhododendron anthopogonoides. The chemical structures of these compounds were elucidated through comprehensive analysis of high-resolution electrospray ionization mass spectrometry (HR-ESI-MS), ultraviolet (UV), infrared spectroscopy (IR), and nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) data. Their absolute configurations were determined by comparing experimental electronic circular dichroism (ECD) spectra with computed values. Notably, compounds 1 and 3 demonstrated significant inhibitory effects on lipopolysaccharide (LPS)-induced inflammation in RAW264.7 cells. These compounds markedly suppressed the mRNA expressions of inflammatory factors, including interleukin (IL)-1β, IL-6, and tumor necrosis factor-α (TNF-α) while also down-regulating the protein expressions of inducible nitric oxide synthase (iNOS) and cyclooxygenase-2 (COX-2).

Objective:This study aims to explore how technological innovation can promote high-quality development of hospital discipline construction. Methods:The study elucidated the connotation, significance, and current status of high-quality development in discipline construction. Taking the Orthopedic Department of a tertiary hospital in Beijing as an example, it analyzed the problems and deficiencies in hospital discipline construction in China. Additionally, specific suggestions were put forward on how technological innovation can facilitate high-quality development of hospital discipline construction in China. Results:Strengthening technological innovation capacity, actively exploring collaborative technological innovation, optimizing research platform construction, enhancing talent cultivation and recruitment, and strengthening awareness of translating clinical research findings into practice were important approaches to achieving high-quality development of hospital discipline construction. These measures provided solid support for the high-quality development of hospitals. Conclusions:By enhancing the vitality of technological innovation and promoting the integration and coordinated development of disciplinary construction and technological innovation, it can assist in the high-quality development of medical disciplines in our country. Furthermore, it can accelerate the advancement of high-level first-class disciplinary construction, serving as an inexhaustible driving force for the cohesive high-quality development of Chinese hospitals.

Objective To examine the role of c-Jun NH2-terminal kinase(JNK) 1 in cytolytic T lymphocyte (CTL) responses against virus infection. Methods Wild-type (WT) and JNK1-knockout (JNK1-/-) mice were infected with ectromelia virus(ECTV) through hind footpads.Survival and virus titers in the target organs (liver and spleen) were analyzed.Effector T cells in the spleen and popliteal lymph nodes were determined on day 3 and 7 post-infection.Proliferation and INF-γ production of CTL were also detected. Results JNK1 deficiency caused an increased susceptibility to ECTV infection in mice, indicated by higher case fatality and viral burden in target organs. The decrease in CTL response correlated with a defect in CTL proliferation and INF-γproduction.Conclusion The data suggest that JNK1 is involved in expansion of activated CTL during ECTV infection, and plays an important antiviral role in regulating the proliferation and effector function of CTL.

Objective To analyze the space-time characteristic of traumatic brain injury (TBI) caused by Chinese Wenchuan earthquake and discuss opportunity and mode of medical intervention. Methods A retrospective study was done on 92 patients with TBI admitted into our department during Chinese Wanchuan earthquake. Results All 92 patients came from champaign located at northwest of Chengdu. Of all, 76 patients were admitted within 12 hours after earthquake. Surgical operation Wag done on 10 patients, of whom 3 died. Conclusions In the early period after earthquake, TBI patients make a large proportion and have fast change of injury severity. All patients come from champaign with conven-ient transportation. For TBI patients, early emergent operation after admission can significantly elevate success rate of mcdical intervention.

Objective To evaluate the influence of different combination of anesthetics on blood pressure (BP) and heart rate (HR) of aged patients with serious illness during operation. Methods Forty patients, aged 80~92, with physical status Ⅱ~Ⅲ as categorized according to American Society of Anesthesiologists (ASA) undergoing selective surgery, were randomly divided equally into two groups: in group A ancsthesia was induced with midazolam, fentanyl and maintained with isoflurane, and in group B anesthesia was induced and maintained with etomidate, sevoflurane and nitrous oxide. Mean arterial pressure (MAP), HR and bispectral index (BIS) were observed at the points of preinduction (T0), induction (T1), intubation (T2), incision (T3), 30 minutes after incision (T4) and extubation (T5). Results After induction, BIS decreased from 95?2 to 52?4, while MAP and HR decreased from 110?11mmHg and 73?8/min to 75?9mmHg and 59?4/min respectively, in group A. While in group B BIS decreased from 94?3 to 58?3, MAP and HR decreased from 103?8 mmHg and 76?6/min to 87?7 mmHg and 67?5/min, respectively. At the point of tracheal intubation, MAP and HR increased significantly in group A compared with group B (P
