Objective To explore the predictive value of radiomics nomogram based on multiparameter MRI for the status of human epidermal growth factor receptor 2(HER-2)in endometrial cancer(EC).Methods A total of 154 patients with pathologically proved EC were retrospectively selected and randomly divided into training set(108 cases)and validation set(46 cases)according to the ratio of 7∶3.Radiomics features were extracted from the preoperative multiparameter MRI images of the patients. The predictive performance of different machine learning algorithms was evaluated by receiver operating characteristic(ROC)curves, and the nomogram was constructed in combination with clinical risk factors. Results The degree of differentiation and depth of myometrial invasion were clinical risk factors for predicting HER-2 positivity in EC patients. The support vector machine(SVM)was selected as the best radiomics model. The nomogram showed the highest predictive performance in the training and validation sets, with area under the curve(AUC)of 0.926 and 0.897,respectively.Conclusion The radiomics nomogram based on multiparameter MRI can accurately predict the HER-2 status of EC patients before surgery and can be used to guide clinical treatment decisions.

Diabetic kidney disease(DKD)is one of the major complications of diabetes mellitus(DM),which significantly affects the survival and quality of life of DM patients.Currently, existing first-line treatment approaches for DKD are ineffective in effectively preventing the occurrence and progression of DKD.Traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)has the advantages of"ultiple pathways, multiple targets, and multiple mechanisms"in treating DKD,and has a broad prospect in the treatment of DKD.Aquaporin-2(AQP2)is a membrane channel protein widely expressed in the kidneys, and its physiological function is highly similar to the function of kidney filtration and reabsorption.Studies have found that various effective components and related formulae of Chinese medicine can improve symptoms in DKD patients by inhibiting the abnormal expression of AQP2.This article provides a review on the role of AQP2 in DKD and the research progress of TCM intervention, aiming to provide insights and references for the development of drugs related to the prevention and treatment of DKD.

AIM:To explore the time-dependent change of Ski protein expression in normal and activated astrocytes in rats.METHODS:The astrocytes were obtained from rat cerebral cortex and cultured in vitro. The astrocytes were treated with LPS and scratch injury for activation.Western blot analysis was used to determine glial fibrillary acidic protein (GFAP) and Ski protein levels in activated astrocytes at a series of time points. The indirect immunofluorescence staining method was performed to detect the location of Ski protein in the astrocytes.RESULTS:The protein of GFAP was naturally expressed in the astrocytes, beginning to increase after treated with LPS and scratch injury.Little protein expression of Ski in the normal astrocytes was observed. The Ski protein expression began to increase after treated with 1 mg/L LPS, peaked at 4 d (P<0.05) and then deceased, but was stills higher than that in the normal cells. The protein expression level of Ski after scratch injury was highly consistent with above mentioned.Ski was mainly observed in the nucleus of the normal cells and the cells treated with LPS for 6 d, while it was observed in the cytoplasm 2 and 4 d after treated with LPS.CONCLUSION:The protein of Ski is expressed in the astrocytes, and the expression level is increased in activated astrocytes, mainly located in the nucelus.Ski may plays an essential roles in the processes of activation and proliferation of astrocytes.

OBJECTIVETo observe the therapeutic effect of shengxuening (SXN) in treating iron-deficiency anemia (IDA) and to explore its molecular mechanism on iron metabolism balance regulation.
METHODSPatients with IDA were randomly divided into the treated group and the control group, 50 in each group. They were treated with SXN (0.1 g, three times per day) and ferrous gluconate (0.1 g, three times per day) respectively, for 30 days. Levels of serum iron (Fe), total iron binding capacity (TIBC), transferrin saturation (TS), serum ferritin (SF), transferrin (Tf), soluble transferrin receptor (sTfR) and blood routine test, as well as scoring of TCM qi-blood deficiency Syndrome were conducted before and after treatment.
RESULTSThe total effective rate in the treated group reached 92%, it was shown that SXN could improve the iron metabolism, increase levels of Fe, TS, SF and reduce levels of TIBC, Tf, sTfR, it has obvious effect in promoting erythrocyte generation and could promote formation of leucocytes and platelets. The total effective rate in the control group was 32%, which was significantly lower than that in the treated group (P < 0.01).
CONCLUSIONThe effect of SXN in treating IDA and qi-blood deficiency Syndrome is evident, it could improve the iron metabolism, increase levels of Fe, TS, SF and lower levels of TIBC, Tf, sTfR.
