Chinese materia medica mainly prevents and treats diminished ovarian reserve by regulating PI3K/Akt, PI3K/Akt/mTOR, PI3K/Akt/FoxO3, PTEN/PI3K/Akt, TGF-β1/Smads, Nrf2/HO-1, AMPK and other signaling pathways. It also involves Hippo, Wnt / β-catenin, Notch and other signaling pathways, which can improve the ovarian environment, promote ovarian function repair, inhibit ovarian granulosa cell apoptosis, promote oocyte growth, regulate hormone levels, and play anti-inflammatory, anti-oxidation and anti-fibrosis roles.

Objective To investigate the effect of thalidomide combined with infliximab (IFX) in treatment of refractory inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) and its effects on insulin-like growth factor-1 (IGF-1) and transforming growth factor-β1 (TGF-β1). Methods A total of 120 patients with refractory IBD were randomly divided into experimental group and control group, with 60 cases in each group. The two groups were given conventional treatment (mesalazine), the control group was given IFX, and the experimental group was given IFX combined with thalidomide, continuous treatment for two months. The efficacy, intestinal flora disturbance rate, adverse reactions, Crohn's disease activity index (CDAI), Lewis score, serum IGF-1, TGF-β1 levels and nutritional status indexes[albumin (ALB), transferrin (Tf)]before and after treatment for 1 month and 2 months of the two groups were compared. Results The total effective rate of the experimental group was significantly higher than that of the control group (P < 0.05). After one month and two months of treatment, CDAI and Lewis scores of the experimental group were significantly lower than those of the control group (P < 0.05); the serum levels of IGF-1, TGF-β1 as well as ALB and Tf in the experimental group were significantly higher than those in the control group (P < 0.05). The improvement of intestinal flora disturbance rate in the experimental group was significantly better than that in the control group (P < 0.05). There was no significant difference in the incidence of oral and nasal mucosa dryness, throat discomfort, nausea and vomiting between two groups (P>0.05). Conclusion In the treatment of refractory IBD patients, thalidomide combined with IFX can regulate serum IGF-1 and TGF-β1 levels, effectively relieve clinical manifestations, inhibit inflammatory activities, and improve nutritional status and intestinal flora disorders of patients, and it has high safety.

Osteoporosis， as a systemic bone disease with high incidence rate and high disability rate， has become a research hotspot in recent years. The daidzein in soybean isoflavones can bind with estrogen receptors， simulating the prevention and treatment of osteoporosis with estrogen-like effect. Its mechanism of action includes promoting osteoblast formation and differentiation by activating the Wnt signaling pathway， increasing bone density， and improving bone tissue health； inhibiting osteoclast differentiation and slowing down bone resorption by reducing receptor activator of nuclear factors κB ligand/ osteoprotegerin ratio， downregulating the expression of macrophage colony-stimulating factor （M-CSF）； collaborating antioxidant and immune regulation to achieve the goal of preventing and treating osteoporosis. In addition， different doses of daidzein have different effects on bone density and osteoporosis， which may be related to factors such as study design， sample selection， and individual differences.

Objective:To explore the effect of electromyography biofeedback therapy combined with oxiracetam on peripheral blood heme oxidase-1 (HO-1), soluble apoptotic molecules and cognitive function in patients with senile vascular dementia (VaD).Methods:One hundred and fourteen elderly patients with VaD from May 2018 to May 2020 in Xingtai Third Hospital were selected and divided into two groups according to the random number table method, with 57 cases in each group. Both groups were given conventional treatment. On this basis, the control group was given oxiracetam, and the observation group was given electromyography biofeedback therapy combined with oxiracetam. The treatment effects after treated for 1 month was compared between the two groups. The levels of serum HO-1, soluble apoptotic molecules sFas, sFasL before and after treatment were compared between the two groups. Cognitive function evaluated by Wechsler Memory Scale (WMS), Mini Mental State Examination (MMSE). The scores of Chinese Stroke Scale (CSS), Ability of Daily Living (ADL) before and after treatment and adverse reactions were compared between the two groups.Results:After treated for 1 month, the total effective rate in the observation group was higher than that in the control group: 93.0%(53/57) vs. 77.2%(44/57), the difference was statistically significant ( P<0.05). After treated for 1 month, the level of serum HO-1 in the two groups was higher than that before treatment, and the level of serum HO-1 in the observation group was higher than that in the control group: (30.21 ± 4.05) μg/L vs. (24.19 ± 3.47) μg/L, the difference was statistically significant ( P<0.05). The levels of serum sFas and sFasL in two groups after treatment were lower than those before treatment, and the levels of serum sFas and sFasL in the observation group were lower than those the control group after treatment: (81.57 ± 16.23) ng/L vs. (118.49 ± 25.09) ng/L, (135.47 ± 24.41) ng/L vs. (200.71 ± 30.29) ng/L, the differences were statistically significant ( P<0.05). After treated for 1 month, the CSS scores in the observation group was lower than the control group: (13.48 ± 2.15) scores vs. (17.22 ± 3.02) scores; the WMS, MMSE, and ADL scores in the observation group were higher than those in the control group: (97.75 ± 10.27) scores vs. (88.43 ± 9.16) scores, (23.82 ± 2.50) scores vs. (21.38 ± 2.19) scores, (60.16 ± 6.24) scores vs. (51.29 ± 5.52) scores, the differences were statistically significant ( P<0.05). There was no significant difference in the incidence of adverse reactions between the two groups ( P>0.05). Conclusions:Electromyography biofeedback therapy combined with oxiracetam has a significant effect in the treatment of elderly patients with VaD. It can significantly improve vascular endothelial function, regulate apoptosis factors, strengthen cognitive function, promote recovery of nerve function and daily living ability without increasing adverse reactions.

Purpose: Long non-coding RNA (lncRNA) is identified as an important regulator involved in oral squamous cell carcinoma (OSCC) tumorigenesis. This study aimed to investigate the functional role and underlying mechanism of LINC00662 in OSCC. Materials and Methods: The expression levels of LINC00662, miR-144-3p, and enhancer of zeste homolog 2 (EZH2) mRNA were quantified with quantitative real-time polymerase chain reaction in OSCC tissues and cell lines. Western blot analysis was used to assay the expression levels of E-cadherin, Vimentin, and EZH2. Cell proliferation, migration, and invasion were monitored by cell counting kit-8 and Transwell assays. Dual-luciferase reporter and RNA immunoprecipitation assays were employed to verify the regulatory relationship between LINC00662 and miR-144-3p. Results: The expression of LINC00662, positively associated with the increased TNM stage and lymph node metastasis of the patients, was up-regulated in OSCC tissues and cells. The overexpression of LINC00662 facilitated the proliferation, migration, and invasion of OSCC cells. MiR-144-3p could bind to LINC00662, and the promoting effect of LINC00662 overexpression was counteracted by miR-144-3p mimic. Moreover, EZH2 expression was negatively regulated by miR-144-3p and positively regulated by LINC00662. The silencing of EZH2 attenuated the promoting effects of overexpression of LINC00662 on cell proliferation, migration, invasion, and epithelial-mesenchymal transition. Conclusion LINC00662, as an oncogenic lncRNA of OSCC, accelerates OSCC progression by repressing miR-144-3p expression and increasing EZH2 expression.

Objective:To explore the consistency of peripheral whole blood and venous serum procalcitonin (PCT) levels, and the value of peripheral whole blood PCT in evaluating pediatric bacterial infection.Methods:This multicenter cross-sectional parallel control study was conducted in 11 children′s hospital. All the 1 898 patients older than 28 days admitted to these hospitals from March 2018 to February 2019 had their peripheral whole blood and venous serum PCT detected simultaneously with unified equipment, reagent and method. According to the venous serum PCT level, the patients were stratified to subgroups. Analysis of variance and chi-square test were used to compare the demographic characteristics among groups. And the correlation between the peripheral blood and venous serum PCT level was investigated by quantitative Pearson correlation analysis.The PCT resultes were also converted into ranked data to further test the consistency between the two sampling methods by Spearman′s rank correlation test. Furthermore, the ranked data were converted into binary data to evaluate the consistency and investigate the best cut-off of peripheral blood PCT level in predicting bacterial infection.Results:A total of 1 898 valid samples were included (1 098 males, 800 females),age 27.4(12.2,56.7) months. There was a good correlation between PCT values of peripheral whole blood and venous serum ( r=0.97 , P<0.01). The linear regression equation was PCT?venous serum=0.135+0.929×PCT peripheral whole blood. However, when stratified to 5 levels, PCT results showed diverse and unsatisfied consistency between the two sampling methods ( r=0.51-0.92, all P<0.01). But after PCT was converted to ordinal categorical variables, the stratified analysis showed that the coincidence rate of the measured values by the two sampling methods in each boundary area was 84.9%-97.1%. The dichotomous variables also showed a good consistency (coincidence rate 96.8%-99.3%, Youden index 0.82-0.89). According to the severity of disease, the serum PCT value was classified into 4 intervals（<0.5、0.5-<2.0、2.0-<10.0、≥10.0 μg/L）, and the peripheral blood PCT value also showed a good predictive value (AUC value was 0.991 2-0.997 9). The optimal cut points of peripheral whole blood PCT value 0.5、1.0、2.0、10.0 μg/L corresponding to venous serum PCT values were 0.395, 0.595, 1.175 and 3.545 μg/L, respectively. Conclusions:There is a good correlation between peripheral whole blood PCT value and the venous serum PCT value, which means that the peripheral whole blood PCT could facilitate the identification of infection and clinical severity. Besides, the sampling of peripheral whole blood is simple and easy to repeat.

Objective:To investigate the correlation between specific expression of serum micro ribonucleic acid (miRNA) and dilated cardiomyopathy (DCM) in children.Methods:Sixteen children diagnosed with DCM in Pediatric Heart Center of Beijing Anzhen Hospital from November 2013 to March 2016 were enrolled in the DCM group.Meanwhile, 12 age- and gender-matched healthy children who underwent medical examinations at the same time in the same hospital were selected as the healthy control group.Their serum was collected and miRNA sequencing was performed.The sample size was expanded at the later stage (the DCM group included 30 cases, and the healthy control group included 16 cases). The real-time fluorescence quantitative polymerase chain reaction (qRT-PCR) verification experiment was conducted on 11 miRNAs with statistically significant sequencing results.Results:Serum miRNA sequencing showed that 172 miRNAs were up-regulated but no miRNAs were down-regulated in the DCM group, compared with the healthy control group (fold change>2, P<0.001). Top 11 significantly up-regulated miRNAs were verified by qRT-PCR, and it was found that 8 of the 11 miRNAs (let-7f, let-7g, miR142-5p, miR143-3p, miR26a, miR27a-3p, miR27b-3p, and miR126-3p) in the DCM group were significantly up-regulated (all P<0.05). In the receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curves of DCM patients, the area under the curves of serum miR142-5p, miR143-3p, miR27b-3p, and miR126-3p were 0.983, 0.992, 0.915 and 0.950, respectively, which were statistically significantly different from those of the healthy control group (all P<0.05). Conclusions:Four serum miRNAs (miR-142-5p, miR-126-3p, miR-143-3p and miR-27b-3p) can distinguish children with DCM from healthy children.Circulating miRNAs are effective in screening DCM children.

Objective To investigate the spectrum,diagnosis,time of therapy and management of the congeni-tal heart disease(CHD)in patients with Down′s syndrome(DS).Methods A retrospective report was undertaken of 96 cases in children with DS accompanied by CHD in Department of Pediatric Cardiology,Beijing Anzhen Hospital Af-filiated to Capital Medical University.Data were collected and analyzed about their clinical characteristics,and types of cardiovascular abnormalities,and the important laboratory examinations such as echocardiography and catheterization as well as the procedures of diagnosis and treatments were summarized.Then the interventions,complications and prognosis of different patients were estimated.Results (1)Single congenital heart disease was found in 33 cases (34.38%),a-mong which ventricular septal defect was the most common (14 cases,14.58%),followed by atrioventricular septal de-fect and atrial septal defect (equally,7 cases,7.29%).Multi -cardiovascular abnormalities were discovered in 63 ca-ses,and patent ductus arteriosus turned out to be the most common (42 cases,66.67%).(2)Cat-heterization was car-ried out in 18 cases of serious pulmonary arterial hypertension,and 8 cases were proved resistant pulmonary arterial hy-pertension without operation opportunity.The other 8 cases were estimated as high pulmonary arterial hypertension and medical therapy was suggested before reassessment to reduce surgical risks.(3)Operations were undertaken in 61 ca-ses,among which percutaneous interventional occlusion was performed in 7 cases and surgical interventions were per-formed in 54 patients,in which perioperation complications and death were found in 5 cases and 4 cases,respectively. Conclusions Operation interventions are practicable and most cases recovered well with systematic examinations and assessment in patients with DS and cardiovascular malformations.Early diagnosis and timely interventions are highly suggested.Also close attentions should be paid to follow -up and re -estimation after medical therapy.
