Objective: To explore the association between meat consumption and anxiety symptoms in first year junior high school students in Yunnan Province, and to provide theoretical support for preventing and relieving anxiety symptoms in junior high school students. Methods: From October to December 2022, a random cluster sampling method was used to select 8 500 first year junior high school students from 11 counties in Yunnan Province as the survey subjects for a questionnaire survey. The study used Food Frequency Questionnaire and the Chinese version of the Depression Anxiety Stress Scale-21 (DASS-21) to assess the meat consumption and anxiety symptoms of junior high school students.The distribution differences in anxiety symptoms among first year junior high school students with different demographic characteristics were analyzed statistically by using the Chi-square test,and the association between meat consumption and anxiety symptoms in students was analyzed by using a generalized linear model. Results: The detection rate of anxiety symptoms was 48.47%. After controlling for demographic variables and confounding factors, the consumption of livestock meat, poultry meat, processed meat, cured meat, barbecued meat and raw skin meat was statistically significant with anxiety symptoms ( β =-0.05, 0.04, 0.04, 0.08, 0.14, 0.17, all P <0.05). Stratified by ethnicity, The consumption of livestock meat, cured meat and barbecue was statistically correlated with anxiety symptoms in Han adolescents ( β =-0.07, 0.14, 0.22 ); the consumption of processed meat and raw skin meat was statistically correlated with anxiety symptoms in ethnic minority adolescents ( β =0.08, 0.18) (all P <0.05). Conclusions There is a statistical association between meat comsumption and the risk of anxiety symptoms in first year junior high school students in Yunnan Province. Guidance on meat consumption should be strengthened to prevent the occurrence of anxiety symptoms.

Objective: To investigate the current prevalence of myopia and the progression of the axial length/corneal radius ratio(AL/CR) among primary school students in Jing an District, Shanghai, and to analyze the value of dynamic AL/CR monitoring and elucidate its longitudinal association with myopia progression, so as to provide evidences for supporting myopia prevention and control interventions. Methods: From 2019 to 2023, by using a stratified cluster random sampling method, 17 624 students from two primary schools in Jing an District, Shanghai were selected for annual vision screenings in five consecutive years. Additionally, a retrospective cohort of 480 eligible first grade students identified in 2019 was followed up until 2023. The analysis focused on the myopia prevalence and the trend in the AL/CR. Differences in screening myopia rates across different student groups from 2019 to 2023 were compared using the Chi square test. The trends in myopia rates were analyzed using the Chi square trend test. The Kruskal-Wallis H test was employed to compare AL/CR and its annual increment across groups. A linear mixed effects model was used to identify factors influencing AL/CR, and a time dependent Cox regression model was developed to predict the risk of myopia onset. Results: From 2019 to 2023, the screening myopia rates were 36.65%, 38.31%, 40.47%, 39.56%, and 39.76% for each respective year. Cohort analyses revealed Grade 5 girls had significantly greater AL/CR increments than boys ( Z =-2.05, P <0.05). Linear mixed models identified baseline AL/CR ( β =1.051, 95% CI =1.012-1.091), grade level ( β =0.040, 95% CI =0.038- 0.042 ), and first year AL/CR increment ( β =0.788, 95% CI =0.733-0.843) as primary determinants (all P <0.01). Boys showed slower AL/CR progression than girls ( β =-0.003, 95% CI =-0.005 to-0.001, P <0.01). The time dependent Cox model demonstrated that both baseline AL/CR ( Z =3.40) and its time varying effect ( Z =10.41) significantly predicted myopia risk(both P <0.01). The effect of AL/CR on myopia risk significantly increased with follow up time, and the growth rate exceeded a linear progression pattern. Conclusions AL/CR progression is primarily driven by baseline values and grade advancement, with slower progression in boys. Dynamic AL/CR monitoring outperforms baseline measurements in predicting myopia progression. Students with rapid AL/CR increments require early intervention.

Objective To analyze the risk factors for chronic cough following pulmonary surgery in patients with non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). Methods A retrospective analysis was conducted on 427 NSCLC patients who underwent pulmonary surgery in the Department of Thoracic Surgery, The First Affiliated Hospital of the University of Science and Technology of China, between January 2021 and June 2023. Patients were categorized into a chronic cough group (103 patients) and a non-chronic cough group (324 patients) based on the presence of cough at 8 weeks post-surgery. A comparative analysis was performed between the two groups, considering gender, age, smoking history, comorbidities, preoperative pulmonary function indicators, pleural adhesion, anesthesia duration, surgical site, operative techniques, lymph node dissection methods, tumor maximum diameter, and postoperative chest tube duration. Factors showing statistical significance in univariate analysis underwent multivariate logistic regression analysis. Results Among the 427 patients undergoing pulmonary surgery, there were 165 males and 262 females, with an average age of (59.93±12.11) years. The incidence of chronic cough was 24.12%. Univariate analysis revealed significant differences in smoking history, preoperative pulmonary function indicators, pleural adhesion, anesthesia duration ≥135.5 minutes, surgical site, operative techniques, lymph node dissection methods, tumor maximum diameter, and postoperative chest tube duration (P<0.05). Multivariate logistic regression analysis indicated that the surgical site (right upper lung), operative techniques (lobectomy), lymph node dissection, and anesthesia time ≥135.5 minutes were independent risk factors for chronic cough following pulmonary surgery. Conclusion Patients undergoing right upper lung surgery, lobectomy, lymph node dissection, and experiencing anesthesia duration ≥135.5 minutes are at a higher risk of developing chronic cough post-pulmonary surgery.

Objective To analyze the pathogenic bacteria and drug resistance of peritoneal dialysis-associated peritonitis(PDAP),and provide a clinical reference for the rational use of antibiotics.Methods The demographic data of PDAP patients admitted to the peritoneal dialysis(PD)Center of the First Affiliated Hospital of Soochow University from July 1,2015 to December 30,2021 were collected,and the pathogens,drug resistance and prognosis were retrospectively analyzed.Results A total of 150 episodes of PDAP occurred in 92 patients.The positive rate of PD fluid culture was 61.33％,including 65 cases(70.65％)of Gram-positive(G+)bacteria,mainly Staphylococcus and Streptococcus.Gram-negative(G-)bacteria were in 16 cases(17.39％),mainly Escherichia coli and Enterobacter cloacae.There were 11 cases(11.96％)of multiple infections,including 5 cases of combined fungal infection.From 2016 to 2021,the incidence of G+bacteria-related PDAP decreased from 14 to 8 cases.G+strains were resistant to methicillin(35.00％),and were sensitive to linezolid(100.00％),teicoplanin(100.00％)and rifampicin(100.00％).The sensitivity rate to vancomycin was 98.59％.G-strains were sensitive to ceftazidime(86.36％),ceftizoxime(88.89％)and amikacin(100.00％).The MIC of vancomycin against Staphylococcus showed an upward trend in 2019-2021.The overall cure rate of PDAP was 81.33％in patients who responded to antibiotic treatment,and the cure rate of G+bacteria was higher than that of multiple infections(89.23％vs.36.36％,P＜0.01).The outcome of patients with multiple infections,especially those with concurrent fungal infection was poor.Conclusion The incidence of PDAP in the PD center has shown a decreasing trend in recent years.G+bacteria are still the main pathogenic bacteria causing PDAP,and they are highly resistant to methicillin,so vancomycin should be used as empirical therapy.For G-bacteria,cefotaxime and amikacin can be chosen as empirical therapy.There is a drift in the MIC values of vancomycin against Staphylococcus in the study period,so it is necessary to monitor the MIC of vancomycin against Staphylococcus and its changing trend.

Objective To investigate the correlation between human leucocyte antigen-DQA1(HLA-DQA1)and clinical characteristics of patients with Sj?gren's syndrome(SS).Methods A total of 242 SS patients admitted to the First Affiliated Hospital of Baotou Medical College from August 2022 to August 2023 were selected as the study objects.According to the HLA-DQA1 test results,the patients were divided into HLA-DQA1 positive group(n=147)and HLA-DQA1 negative group(n=95).The clinical manifestations,laboratory indicators,labial gland biopsy and disease activity were compared between two groups.Receiver operating characteristic curve was used to analyze the diagnostic value of HLA-DQA1 for disease activity in SS patients.Results The proportion of dry mouth,dry eye and purpura,the proportion of anti-SSA antibodies,anti-SSB antibodies,antinuclear antibody(ANA)positive and the level of immunoglobulin G in HLA-DQA1 positive group were significantly higher than those in HLA-DQA1 negative group(P＜0.05),and the hemoglobin level was significantly lower than that in HLA-DQA1 negative group(P＜0.05).The disease activity of HLA-DQA1 positive group was significantly higher than that of HLA-DQA1 negative group(P＜0.05).The areas under the curve of HLA-DQA1,anti-SSA antibody and anti-SSB antibody to determine the disease activity of SS patients were 0.593,0.534 and 0.593,respectively.The area under the curve of disease activity of SS patients judged by the three indexes combined was 0.638.Conclusion HLA-DQA1 is correlated with the disease activity of SS patients.In HLA-DQA1 positive patients,dry mouth,dry eyes,hyperglobulinemia,anemia and purpura were more obvious.Meanwhile,the positive rates of anti-SSA/SSB antibodies and ANA were higher,suggesting that HLA-DQA1 expression is helpful in judging the disease of SS patients.

Objective:To investigate the clinical characteristics of patients with rheumatic diseases and abnormal liver function, as well as determine the proportion and severity of liver function abnormalities.Methods:Cross-sectional study. Data were collected from patients registered in the Chinese Rheumatism Date Center from 2011 to 2021. The rheumatic diseases analyzed in this study were rheumatoid arthritis (RA), systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE), Sjogren syndrome (SS), ankylosing spondylitis (AS), and gout. Patient data, including demographic characteristics [ such as age, sex, body mass index,(BMI), and smoking history], liver function test results [including alanine aminotransferase (ALT), aspartate aminotransferase, alkaline phosphatase(ALP), and total bilirubin], and use of anti-rheumatic immune drugs and liver-protective drugs, were collected and compared between groups with normal and abnormal liver functions. In addition, the proportions of abnormal liver function were compared between sex and age groups.Results:A total of 116 308 patients were included in this study, including 49 659 with RA, 17 597 with SLE, 9 039 with SS, 11 321 with AS, and 28 692 with gout. The lowest proportion of liver function abnormalities was observed in patients with RA[11.02% (5 470/49 659)], followed by those with SS[17.97% (1 624/9 039)] and AS [18.22% (2 063/11 321) ], whereas patients with SLE [21.14% (3 720/17 597) ] and gout [28.73% (8 242/28 692)] exhibited the highest proportion of these abnormalities. Elevated ALT, mostly classified as grade 1, was the most commonly noted liver function abnormality, whereas elevated ALP was the least common. Some patients who took liver-protective drugs had normal liver function, with the lowest percentage observed in patients with gout [7.45% (36/483) ] and ranging from 21.7% to 30.34% in patients with RA, SLE, SS, and AS. The proportion of liver function abnormalities was higher in males than in females for all disease types [RA: 13.8%(1 368/9 906) vs. 10.3%(4 102/39 753); SLE: 33.6% (479/1 424) vs. 20.0% (3 241/16 173); SS: 25.4%(111/437) vs. 17.6%(1 513/8 602); AS: 20.1%(1 629/8 119) vs. 13.6% (434/3 202); and gout: 29.3% (8 033/27 394) vs. 16.1% (209/1 298)]. In RA, SLE, and AS, the proportions of liver function abnormalities were similar across all age groups. In SS, the proportion of liver function abnormalities increased with age [<40 years: 14.9%(294/1 979); 40-59 years: 18.1%(858/4 741); ≥60 years: 20.4%(472/2 319)], whereas a reversal of this trend was observed in gout [<40 years: 34.9%(4 294/12 320); 40-59 years: 25.5%(2 905/11 398);≥60 years: 21.0%(1 042/4 971)].Conclusions:The proportions of combined liver function abnormalities in patients with rheumatologic diseases were high, and the utilization rates of liver-protective drugs were low. It is necessary to pay more attention to monitoring patients′ liver function, timely administer liver-protective drugs, and optimize liver-protective regimens during the treatment of rheumatic diseases.

BACKGROUND: The clinical features of enthesitis in patients with psoriatic arthritis (PsA) have been reported in some Western countries, but data in China are very limited. This study aimed to describe the characteristics of enthesitis in Chinese patients with PsA and compared them with those in other cohorts. METHODS: Patients with PsA enrolled in the Chinese Registry of Psoriatic Arthritis (CREPAR) (December 2018 to June 2021) were included. Data including demographics, clinical characteristics, disease activity measures, and treatment were collected at enrollment. Enthesitis was assessed by the Spondyloarthritis Research Consortium of Canada (SPARCC), Maastricht ankylosing spondylitis enthesitis score (MASES), and Leeds enthesitis index (LEI) indices. A multivariable logistic model was used to identify factors related to enthesitis. We also compared our results with those of other cohorts. RESULTS: In total, 1074 PsA patients were included, 308 (28.7%) of whom had enthesitis. The average number of enthesitis was 3.3 ± 2.8 (range: 1.0-18.0). More than half of the patients (165, 53.6%) had one or two tender entheseal sites. Patients with enthesitis had an earlier age of onset for both psoriasis and arthritis, reported a higher proportion of PsA duration over 5 years, and had a higher percentage of axial involvement and greater disease activity. Multivariable logistic regression showed that axial involvement (odds ratio [OR] 2.21, 95% confidence interval [CI], 1.59-3.08; P <0.001), psoriasis area and severity index (PASI) (OR: 1.03, 95% CI: 1.01-1.04; P = 0.002), and disease activity score 28-C reactive protein (DAS28-CRP) (OR: 1.25, 95% CI: 1.01-1.55; P = 0.037) were associated with enthesitis. Compared with the results of other studies, Chinese patients with enthesitis had a younger age, lower body mass index (BMI), a higher rate of positive human leukocyte antigen (HLA)-B27, more frequent dactylitis, and a higher proportion of conventional synthetic disease-modifying antirheumatic drugs' (csDMARDs) use. CONCLUSIONS Enthesitis is a common condition among Chinese patients with PsA. It is important to evaluate entheses in both peripheral and axial sites.

OBJECTIVE To develop a whole-process intelligent model of pharmaceutical care for peritoneal dialysis （PD） patients， and to provide a reference for clinical pharmacists to provide standardized PD pharmaceutical care. METHODS The pharmaceutical care mode of PD patients at home and abroad was investigated and analyzed. Based on the actual situation of the First Affiliated Hospital of Soochow University （hereinafter referred to as “our hospital”）， with “home→PD center outpatient→ inpatient department” as the main node， the recycling process of medication reconciliation was optimized. The whole-process intelligent pharmaceutical care model of PD was illustrated by improving the Chinese version of the drug-related problems （DRPs） classification tool， developing the corresponding pharmaceutical care process， and presenting specific cases. RESULTS Based on the medication therapy management （MTM） platform， our hospital had built a closed-loop PD whole-process intelligent pharmaceutical care model of “in-hospital pharmaceutical care （building document）-PD outpatient MTM-home pharmaceutical care （online App management）”. A “double cycle” workflow of “admission→discharge→outpatient” medication reconciliation cycle and “discovery-analysis-intervention-follow-up-record-evaluation” DRPs cycle was formed. CONCLUSIONS The establishment of the whole-process intelligent pharmaceutical care model for PD in our hospital provides experience for standardizing pharmaceutical care for PD patients， and can reduce DRPs.

Objective:To predicate whether China can achieve the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) 3.4.1 to reduce the age-standardized mortality rate of four major non-communicable diseases (NCDs) in residents aged 30-70 years by 2030 based on the trend of the mortality from 1990 to 2019.Methods:We collected the mortality data on cardiovascular diseases, cancers, chronic respiratory diseases, and diabetes by age, gender and year in China from the Global Disease Burden Study 2019 (GBD2019). The age-period-cohort (APC) Bayesian model was applied for modeling the age-standardized mortality rate of four major NCDs in China during 2020-2030 according to the trend of the mortality during 1990-2019, and comparing the predicted value in 2030 with the observed value in 2015 to evaluate the possibility of achieving SDGs 3.4.1.Results:The age-standardized mortality rate of the four major NCDs in China showed a downward trend during 1990-2019. It is predicted that the number of death of the four NCDs in Chinese residents aged 30-70 years would increase from 2.96 million in 2020 to 3.19 million in 2030, while the age-standardized mortality rate would decrease from 308.49/100 000 in 2020 to 277.80/100 000 in 2030. The age-standardized mortality rate in 2030 would only decrease by 15.94% (18.73% for males and 14.31% for females) compared with 330.46/100 000 in 2015, with a 25.09% decrease for cardiovascular diseases, 4.76% for cancers, 37.21% for chronic respiratory diseases, and unchanged for diabetes.Conclusion:Although the age-standardized mortality rate of four major NCDs declined from 1990 to 2019 in China, it is difficult to achieve the SDGs of a 1/3 mortality rate reduction by 2030 according to the current declining trend, suggesting more active and effective efforts for NCD prevention and control are needed.

OBJECTIVE：To provide reference for the identification and proces sing end-point determination of raw Morus alba and its processed products （honey-processed M. alba ）. METHODS ：UPLC method was adopted. The determination was performed on Waters BEH Shield RP C 18 column with mobile phase consisted of acetonitrile- 0.1％ phosphoric acid solution （gradient elution ） at the flow rate of 0.30 mL/min. The column temperature was set at 30 ℃. The program wavelengths were set at 280 nm（0-4 min） and 320 nm（4-35 min）. Similarity Evaluation System for Chromatogram Fingerprint of TCM （2012 edition）was used to establish UPLC fingerprint and carry out similarity evaluation of 13 batches of M. alba and honey-processed M. alba . The chromatographic peaks were identified with reference substance fingerprint. The colorimetric value （L，a，b） of 13 batches of M. alba and honey-processed M. alba powder were determined ，and average total colorimetric value （E）was calculated. OPLS-DA and cluster analysis were adopted to analyze the differences in fingerprints and colorimetric values of M. alba before and after processing. At the same time ，the dynamic change rule of fingerprint and colorimetric value of honey-processed M. alba at different processing time points were analyzed to determine the processing end-point. RESULTS ：There were obvious differences in fingerprints before and after processing ，and the similarity of 13 batches of M. alba and honey-processed M. alba were all higher than 0.9. Totally 21 common peaks were calibrated for M. alba ，and 23 common peaks for honey-processed M. alba ；peak 1 and peak 2 were newly produced compounds of honey-processed M. alba . Peak 2，peak 7，peak 14 and peak 19 were identified as 5-hydroxymethylfurfural， mulberry glucoside A ，oxidized resveratrol ，mulberry flavonoids G. Results of OPLS-DA showed that the peak area-sample quantity ratio of peak 1，peak 2，peak 18，peak 20 and the chromaticity values （L，a，b）were the most important factors affecting the difference of raw and processed products of M. alba . When the E ranged 75.84-80.88 as the processing end-point of honey-processed M. alba ，the processing time was determined as 22-34 min. CONCLUSIONS ： The established UPLC fingerprint and colorimetric value determination method can be used to identify the raw and processed products of M. alba as well as determine the processing end-point of honey-processed M. alba .
