1.Analysis of prevalence of depressive symptoms and associated factors among students in Zhejiang Province

Objective:
To investigate the prevalence of depressive symptoms and their associated factors among students in Zhejiang Province, so as to provide evidence for targeted prevention strategies.
Methods:
A stratified cluster random sampling method was used to select 23 829 college students and primary and secondary school students aged 11-22 years in Zhejiang Province from December 2019 to February 2020. Depressive symptoms were assessed using the Center for Epidemiologic Studies Depression Scale (CES-D). Three machine learning algorithms, including Logistic regression, random forest, and eXtreme Gradient Boosting (XGBoost), were applied to construct predictive models, and key associated factors were identified by comparing model performance.
Results:
The detection rate of depressive symptoms among students in Zhejiang Province was 19.92%; the rates were 17.20% in boys and 22.87% in girls( χ 2=164.89, P <0.05). The CES-D total score was 9.00(4.00,13.00). Multiple Logistic regression analysis revealed that loneliness had the strongest association with depressive symptoms ( AOR =9.58, 95% CI =8.90-10.30), while bullying exposure ( AOR =4.39, 95% CI =4.02-4.80), female students( AOR =1.81, 95% CI =1.68-1.94),never eating breakfast ( AOR = 2.34,95% CI =2.00-2.67) and overweight/obesity( AOR =1.10,95% CI =1.08-1.12) were significant associated factors of depressive symptoms among students (all P <0.05). Analysis based on the XGBoost model produced highly consistent results, identifying the above 5 factors as the core features with the highest correlation strength (all P <0.05).
Conclusions
Female, loneliness, bullying exposure, frequency of weekly breakfast and BMI are strongly associated with depressive symptoms among students. Mental health education for high risk groups should be strengthened, and coordinated prevention efforts between families and schools are recommended.

Intestinal fibrosis is a major complication of inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), leading to a high incidence of surgical interventions and significant disability. Despite its clinical relevance, no targeted pharmacological therapies are currently available. This review aims to explore the underlying mechanisms driving intestinal fibrosis and address unresolved scientific questions, offering insights into potential future therapeutic strategies. We conducted a literature review using data from PubMed up to October 2024, focusing on studies related to IBD and fibrosis. Intestinal fibrosis results from a complex network involving stromal cells, immune cells, epithelial cells, and the gut microbiota. Chronic inflammation, driven by factors such as dysbiosis, epithelial injury, and immune activation, leads to the production of cytokines like interleukin (IL)-1β, IL-17, and transforming growth factor (TGF)-β. These mediators activate various stromal cell populations, including fibroblasts, pericytes, and smooth muscle cells. The activated stromal cells secrete excessive extracellular matrix components, thereby promoting fibrosis. Additionally, stromal cells influence the immune microenvironment through cytokine production. Future research would focus on elucidating the temporal and spatial relationships between immune cell-driven inflammation and stromal cell-mediated fibrosis. Additionally, investigations are needed to clarify the differentiation origins of excessive extracellular matrix-producing cells, particularly fibroblast activation protein (FAP) + fibroblasts, in the context of intestinal fibrosis. In conclusion, aberrant stromal cell activation, triggered by upstream immune signals, is a key mechanism underlying intestinal fibrosis. Further investigations into immune-stromal cell interactions and stromal cell activation are essential for the development of therapeutic strategies to prevent, alleviate, and potentially reverse fibrosis.

Historically,with the decentralisation of county-level medical service price management,inconsistencies in large urban county medical service prices have arisen,facing a serious challenge to the allocation of regional medical resources and the fairness of patients' access to healthcare.There is therefore an urgent need to integrate and standardise county medical service prices.It provides a comprehensive overview of the integration process of county medical service prices in Zhengzhou,focusing on the establishment of integration principles,the determination of programme parameters,the initial integration phase,and the refinement of measurement mechanisms.It also puts forward a series of recommendations and strategies for enhancement,including the further rationalisation of the ratio-price relationship among items,the gradual promotion of price adjustment,and the establishment of a continuous dynamic monitoring mechanism.It also puts forward suggestions and strategies for improvement in terms of further rationalising the price relationship between items and gradually promoting price adjustment,and establishing a continuous dynamic monitoring mechanism.
5.Research progress of intraarticular injection of nano-microspheres in the treatment of osteoarthritis

This article reviews the benifits and challenges of nano-microspheres (NPs) in the treatment of osteoarthritis (OA). OA is a degenerative disease associated with aging, trauma, and excessive loading, with treatment strategies including basic therapy, drug therapy, reparative therapy, and reconstructive surgery. As emerging nanomaterials, NPs offer unique advantages in promoting cartilage repair due to their high surface area, excellent drug-loading capacity, and good biocompatibility. These advantages include facilitating chondrocyte generation through magnetic-mechanical control of mesenchymal stem cell microspheres and enhancing antioxidant levels using biomimetic liposomal NPs combined with glucosamine. Additionally, NPs can effectively modulate inflammatory responses, such as by inhibiting the formation of M1 macrophages and promoting their polarization to the M2 type to alleviate inflammation. Some NPs also enhance joint lubrication and relieve pain, such as hyaluronic acid-based NPs modified with choline phosphate groups. However, the application of NPs faces challenges such as high production costs, poor biocompatibility for certain types, and unknown long-term safety. Despite these challenges, with advancements in nanotechnology and a deeper understanding of the pathological mechanisms of OA, NPs are expected to provide new therapeutic approaches and more comprehensive and effective treatment options for OA patients in the future.
6.Association of particulate matter and ozone with the prevalence of non-alcoholic fatty liver disease in a district of Shanghai

ObjectiveTo investigate the association of particulate matter and ozone with the prevalence of non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) in a district of Shanghai, and to provide epidemiological evidence for the further identification of early health hazards of air pollution and for the prevention and control of NAFLD. MethodsBased on Songjiang Sub-cohort of Shanghai Natural Population Cohort, a cross-sectional survey design was used to recruit participants from 2016 to 2017. Annual average exposure levels to air pollution from 2009 to 2017 were matched to the participant’s residential address using a high-resolution and high-quality ambient air pollutants dataset in China. NAFLD was diagnosed according to the “Guidelines for the prevention and treatment of metabolism⁃associated (non⁃alcoholic) fatty liver disease” by the Chinese Medical Association. Multivariate logistic regression models were employed to analyze the association between air pollution and the prevalence of NAFLD, and stratified analyses were used to compare differences by age, gender, obesity, and lifestyle habits within subgroups. ResultsA total of 32 791 individuals were included in the study. The prevalence of NAFLD among community residents in suburban Shanghai was 38.88%. For every 1 μg·m-3 increase in PM1, PM2.5, PM10, or O3, the risk of NAFLD increased correspongdinglt, with the odds ratios (95%CI) of 1.071 (1.043‒1.099), 1.065 (1.042‒1.089), 1.041 (1.027‒1.055), or 1.061 (1.032‒1.091), respectively. There were differences in effects across different gender, age, and obesity status subgroups. ConclusionPM1, PM2.5, PM10, and O3 are positively associated with an increased risk of NAFLD. Stratified analyses reveal that individuals aged 65 years old or above exhibited greater susceptibility to PM1, PM2.5, and O3, whereas those aged less than 65 years old are more vulnerable to PM10. Males are more sensitive to PM1 and O3, and females are more susceptible to PM2.5 and PM10. The association between air pollutant exposure and NAFLD risk is more pronounced among obese participants compared to that in non-obese counterparts.

9.MicroRNA-148a-3p enhances sensitivity of radiotherapy of lung adenocarcinoma cells by targeting core 1β13-galactosyltransferase 1

Objective To investigate the expression and clinical significance of microRNA-148a-3p (miR-148a-3p) in lung adenocarcinoma and analyze the effect and mechanism of miR-148a-3p on radiotherapy sensitivity of lung adenocarcinoma cells by targeting the protein core 1β13-galactosyltransferase 1(C1GALT1). Methods Seventy-six patients' tumor tissues from lung adenocarcinoma tissue microarrays and lung adenocarcinoma A549 cell line were selected for the study. The miR-148a-3p in situ hybridizations (ISH) and C1GALT1 immunohistochemical staining were performed on the tissue microarrays to analyze the correlations of miR-148a-3p expression with clinical pathology, prognosis and C1GALT1 expression in the tumor tissues of the 76 patients with lung adenocarcinoma. A549 cells were transfected with miR-148a-3p overexpression plasmid by using cell transfection technique; the clone formation assay was used to detect the sensitivity of the transfected cells for radiotherapy after receiving 2 Gy radiotherapy; the protein expression level of cellular C1GALT1 was detected by western blot; the targeted regulatory relationship between miR-148a-3p and C1GALT1 was verified by dual-luciferase reporter gene experiment; the mechanism of miR-148a-3p regulating the sensitivity of A549 cells to radiotherapy was analyzed by co-transfection technique. Objective To investigate the effects of microgravity environment on hibernating myoblasts.Methods Hibernating myoblasts were cultured under real and simulated microgravity conditions for 10 days.RNA-seq analysis and immunofluorescence are used to analysis the impact of microgravity environment on cell growth and gene expression of myoblasts.Results Under the microgravity conditions,genes associated with proliferation were upregulated.Under simulated microgravity,there were more and higher proportion of Ki67 positive cells compared to normal gravity conditions.Conclusion The microgravity environment promotes the proliferation of hibernating myoblasts.
