"Sinew prescription correspondence" is the principle of selecting prescriptions for channel sinew diseases. On the basis of the theory of syndrome differentiation and treatment, the pulse manifestation corresponds to the channel sinew syndrome, which can improve the flexibility and standardization of clinical prescriptions. From the perspective of systematic dialectical sphygmology, this paper explains the dialectical relationship between channel sinew theory and pulse body elements, pulse wall elements, pulse elements and blood flow elements, and clarifies the internal relationship between pulse manifestation and prescriptions at the level of channel sinew disease. The prescription is derived from the method, while the method is established with the syndrome, and the prescription is unified by the method. According to the theory of "sinew prescription correspondence", the treatment ideas of channel sinew diseases were analyzed from the perspective of channel sinew distribution, functional characteristics and structural changes. On this basis, the diagnosis of channel sinew disease and the application of prescriptions are expanded, and the research on the internal treatment and diagnosis mode of "pulse manifestation-channel sinew-zang fu (脏腑)" is prospected, so as to expand the differentiation and treatment methods of channel sinew theory.

Acta Medicinae Universitatis Scientiae et Technologiae Huazhong 2025;54(3):415-422
Objective To compare and analyze the disease burden of stroke related to high systolic blood pressure(HSBP)in China and globally. Methods Data were collected and organized from the GBD 2021 on the age-specific and sex-specific mortali-ty rates and disability-adjusted life years(DALY)rates for stroke attributable to HSBP in China and globally from 1990 to 2021.The Joinpoint regression model was used to analyze trends in the disease burden of stroke attributable to HSBP.The Bayesian age-period-cohort(BAPC)model was applied to predict future disease burden of stroke attributable to HSBP in China and globally. Results From 1990 to 2021,the age-standardized mortality rate(ASMR)and age-standardized disability-adjusted life years(ASDR)for stroke attributable to HSBP in China were both higher than the global trends, and the rate of decline was slower than that of the global trend. The decline was slower in males compared to females.By 2021,China's ASMR and ASDR had decreased to 77.73 per 100000(AAPC=-1.31%)and 1484.39 per 100000 person-years(AAPC=-1.34%),respective-ly.The disease burden of stroke attributable to HSBP both in China and globally was primarily concentrated in the elderly popu-lation.In China, except for the 25-34 age group, the mortality rate and DALY rate in all other age groups showed a downward trend. It is projected that, over the next 10 years, both China's and the global ASMR and ASDR for stroke attributable to HSBP will continue to decline, and the decline in China was expected to be greater than the global trend. Conclusion Although the ASMR and ASDR for stroke attributable to HSBP in China show a declining trend, the prevention and treatment situation re-mains challenging. The disease burden is higher among the elderly and males, and the lack of improvement in the disease burden among the 25-34 age group requires attention. In the future, preventive and treatment measures for stroke related to HSBP should be further refined based on existing experience.

Objective:To evaluate the prognosis of patients with resectable pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC) treated by gemcitabine and nab-paclitaxel (AG) or AG combined with pro-grammed death-1 (PD-1) inhibitor regimen and application value of the Cleveland Clinic Foundation (CCF) risk score. Methods:The retrospective cohort study was conducted. The clinicopathological data of 151 PDAC patients who were treated by AG regimen or AG combined with PD-1 inhibitor regimen in Zhejiang Cancer Hospital from January 2013 to March 2024 were collected. There were 84 males and 67 females, aged (64±9)years. Observation indicators: (1) comparison of clinical characteristics among resectable PDAC patients with different CCF risk score; (2) analysis of influencing factors for overall survival time of resectable PDAC patients; (3) survival of resectable PDAC patients. Comparison of measurement data with skewed distribution between groups was conducted using the Mann-Whitney U test. Comparison of count data between groups was conducted using the chi-square test. Comparison of ordinal data between groups was conducted using the rank sum test. Univariate and multivariate analyses were conducted using the Cox regression model. Kaplan-Meier method was used to calculate survival rate and plot survival curve, and Log-rank test was used for survival analysis. Results:(1) Comparison of clinical characteristics among resectable PDAC patients with different CCF risk score. Based on CCF risk score, 102 of 151 patients were classified as low risk and 49 cases were classified as intermediate-to-high risk. There were signi-ficant differences in sex, age, smoking status, alcohol consumption, hypertension, and diabetes between the two categories ( P<0.05). (2) Analysis of influencing factors for overall survival time of resectable PDAC patients. Results of multivariate analysis showed that the treatment regimen was an indepen-dent influencing factor for overall survival time of resectable PDAC patients ( hazard ratio=1.976, 95% confidence interval as 1.065?3.666, P<0.05). (3) Survival of resectable PDAC patients. The follow-up time of 151 patients was 21.8(18.7,24.2)months, and the median overall survival time was 23.3(19.0,32.4)months. The follow-up time was 22.1(18.9,30.7)months of patients treated by AG regimen and 11.2(8.1,23.3)months of patients treated by AG combined with PD-1 inhibitor regimen, respectively. The median overall survival time of the two types of patients was 24.4(17.2,31.7)months and 16.9(8.9,24.9)months. The 1-year overall survival rates were 79.1% and 60.0%, and the 2-year overall survival rates were 53.4% and 28.5%, respectively. There was a significant difference in the overall survival between the two types of patients ( hazard ratio=1.913, 95% confidence interval as 1.041?3.516, P<0.05). Of the intermediate-to-high risk patients, the follow-up time was 18.5(8.8,28.1)months of 37 patients treated by AG regimen and 8.1(7.3,9.0)months of 12 patients treated by AG combined with PD-1 inhibitor regimen. The median overall survival time of the two types of patients was 32.4(15.7,49.0)months and 8.9(5.7,12.1)months, respectively. The 1-year overall survival rates were 82.7% and 31.3%, and the 2-year overall survival rates were 66.5% and 0, respectively. There was a significant difference in the overall survival between the two types of patients ( hazard ratio=5.402, 95% confidence interval as 1.811?16.118, P<0.05). Conclusions:The treatment regimen is an independent influencing factor for overall survival in patients with resectable PDAC. Compared with the AG combined with PD-1 inhibitor regimen, AG regimen is associated with good survival of patients with resectable PDAC. For patients classified as intermediate-to-high risk based on the CCF risk score, AG regimen is assiociated with a better overall survival compared to AG combined with PD-1 inhibitor regimen.
5.Association between screen time and anxiety-depression symptoms and their comorbidity among middle school students in Taiyuan City
Chinese Journal of School Health 2025;46(7):980-984
Objective:
To investigate the association between screen time (ST) during leisure time and anxiety-depression symptoms among middle school students, so as to provide a basis for formulating relevant intervention measures.
Methods:
From November to December 2023, a stratified cluster random sampling method was used to select 2 542 students from junior and senior high school in Taiyuan City. A self designed questionnaire, the Generalized Anxiety Disorder Scale (GAD-7), and the Patient Health Questionnaire (PHQ-9) were used to investigate ST and anxiety/depression symptoms among middle school students. The Logistic regression model was used to explore the association of ST with symptoms of anxiety and depression, as well as with anxiety and depression comorbiditles (CAD).
Results:
The detection rates of anxiety symptoms, depression symptoms, and CAD were 13.69%, 15.77%, and 10.11%, respectively. The median ST was 2.00 h/d [interquartile range ( IQR =2.38) for weekly averages], with 0.33 h/d ( IQR =1.67) on work days and 5.00 h/d ( IQR=5.50) on rest days. Logistic regression analysis indicated that the total ST of mobile phones during rest days ( OR =1.07, 1.10, 1.11) and the averages ST of mobile phones over a week ( OR = 1.20 , 1.22, 1.29), as well as the total ST of all screen types during rest days ( OR =1.04, 1.04, 1.05) and the averages ST of all screen types over a week ( OR =1.08, 1.09, 1.21) were positively correlated with anxiety symptoms, depression symptoms, and CAD (all P <0.01).
Conclusions
Among middle school students in Taiyuan City, screen time is positively correlated with symptoms of anxiety or depression and the comorbidity of anxiety and depression, especially smartphone screen time and weekend screen use. Therefore, measures should be implemented to reduce unnecessary screen time among middle school students, especially the use of mobile phones, in order to mitigate the occurrence of anxiety and depression.

AIM:To investigate the role of serum high-sensitivity C-reactive protein(hsCRP)in the pathogenesis and progression of diabetic retinopathy(DR)in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus(T2DM).METHODS:A nested case-control study was conducted involving 187 T2DM patients(187 eyes)who attended at Eye Center, Beijing Tongren Hospital, Capital Medical University from June 2017 to October 2024. Patients were categorized into three groups: the diabetes mellitus(DM)group, non-proliferative DR(NPDR)group, and proliferative DR(PDR)group. Baseline information was collected, including age, sex, duration of DM, and duration of hypertension. All patients underwent fasting biochemical tests and comprehensive ophthalmic examinations.RESULTS: A positive correlation was observed between hsCRP and fasting blood glucose(FBG; P=0.004)and glycated hemoglobin A1c(HbA1c; P=0.048)by Spearman's rank correlation coefficient analysis. After adjusting for confounding factors, multivariable Logistic regression identified hsCRP as a significant risk factor for DR(OR=2.67, 95% CI: 1.19-5.96, P=0.017). CONCLUSION:Serum hsCRP is positively correlated with FBG and HbA1c and can serve as an important predictor of the severity of DR.

Microglial pyroptosis and neuroinflammation have been implicated in the pathogenesis of sepsis-associated encephalopathy (SAE). OGT-mediated O-GlcNAcylation is involved in neurodevelopment and injury. However, its regulatory function in microglial pyroptosis and involvement in SAE remains unclear. In this study, we demonstrated that OGT deficiency augmented microglial pyroptosis and exacerbated secondary neuronal injury. Furthermore, OGT inhibition impaired cognitive function in healthy mice and accelerated the progression in SAE mice. Mechanistically, OGT-mediated O-GlcNAcylation of ATF2 at Ser44 inhibited its phosphorylation and nuclear translocation, thereby amplifying NLRP3 inflammasome activation and promoting inflammatory cytokine production in microglia in response to LPS/Nigericin stimulation. In conclusion, this study uncovers the critical role of OGT-mediated O-GlcNAcylation in modulating microglial activity through the regulation of ATF2 and thus protects against SAE progression.

Chinese Journal of Clinical Nutrition 2025;33(2):134-145
Objective:To systematically evaluate the effect of the Dietary Approaches to Stop Hypertension (DASH) diet on common metabolic diseases. Methods:Following the PICOS framework to construct the search formula, we systematically searched the Web of science, PubMed, Cochrane Library, CNKI, Wanfang, and VIP databases for randomized controlled trials (RCTs) investigating the effect of the DASH diet on multiple metabolic indices including body weight, body mass index (BMI), fasting blood glucose, triglycerides, systolic blood pressure (SBP), and diastolic blood pressure (DBP) in patients with metabolic disorders (e.g., obesity, diabetes mellitus, and hypertension) published both in China and abroad from 1 January 2000 to 31 December 2023. The search terms were combinations of MeSH and free-text terms, and the raw data obtained from the search were screened according to the inclusion and exclusion criteria to determine the articles that were finally included in the analysis. The differences in these metabolic indices were compared between the intervention group group (using DASH diet) and the control group. The quality of the studies was assessed quantitatively using the modified Jadad scale and qualitatively using the Risk of Bias 2 (RoB 2) tool by two reviewers independently. Data analysis was conducted using Stata 18.0 software, with the I 2 test for heterogeneity evaluation and funnel plots for qualitative assessment of publication bias. Results:A total of 13 RCTs were included, involving 1 653 participants. Meta-analysis showed that the intervention group had more favorable effects on SBP ( SMD:-0.91, 95%CI: -1.55–-0.27; Z=-2.79, P<0.005) and DBP ( SMD: -0.98, 95%CI: -1.62–-0.33; Z=-2.96, P<0.05) than the control diet. Fasting blood glucose ( SMD: 0.21, 95% CI: 0.01–0.41; Z=2.06, P=0.04) was statistically significant. There were no significant differences in body weight, BMI, fasting blood glucose, and triglyceride outcomes betweeen these two groups. Conclusions:DASH diet is effective in controlling SBP and DBP in patients with metabolic disorders and may be useful in clinical adjunctive therapy. However, current evidence does not support an independent improvement in glycolipid metabolic markers.
