Objective:
To understand the current status of short video addiction among vocational nursing students in higher vocational colleges (hereinafter referred to as "nursing students") and its related factors, so as to provide a reference for formulating online education programs in colleges.
Methods:
From March to May 2025, a stratified random sample of 2 223 nursing students from four vocational colleges in Henan Province was selected. Short Video Addiction Scale for College Students, Short form Egna Minnen av Barndoms Uppfostran for Chinese, Peer Rejection Scale, and University of California at Los Angels Loneliness Scale were used for investigation. Chi square test and multivariate Logistic regression analysis were used to explore the related factors of short video addiction among nursing students.
Results:
The detection rate of short video addiction of higher vocational nursing students was 26.95%, and the scores for avoidance, loss of control, inefficiency and withdrawal were (8.05±2.97) (10.24±3.09) (4.99±1.88) and (11.97±4.10), respectively. Multivariate Logistic regression analysis showed that sophomore year 2 ( OR=1.83, 95%CI =1.39-2.40), higher maternal education level (secondary school/vocational college: OR =1.34, 95% CI =1.06-1.68; college/undergraduate: OR =1.38, 95% CI =1.05-1.82), paternal overprotection ( OR=1.59, 95%CI =1.27-2.00), high peer rejection ( OR=1.40, 95%CI =1.19-1.66), and strong loneliness ( OR=1.57, 95%CI =1.07-2.28) were associated with a higher risk of short video addiction among nursing students (all P <0.05). Paternal affectionate and warm rearing style ( OR=0.82, 95%CI = 0.71- 0.95) was associated with a lower risk of short video addiction ( P <0.05).
Conclusions
The detection rate of short video addiction among nursing students is relatively high. Short video addiction is related to the nursing students grade, maternal education level, paternal overprotection and affectionate rearing style, peer rejection, and loneliness.

Echinocandin B (ECB) is a key precursor of the antifungal drug anidulafungin. It is a secondary metabolite of Aspergillus nidulans, and its titer in fermentation is significantly affected by the ECB synthesis pathway and cell morphology. In this study, the key genes related to the transcription activation, hydroxylation, and cell morphology during ECB biosynthesis were investigated to increase the fermentation titer of ECB and to change the cell morphology of Aspergillus nidulans to reduce the viscosity of the fermentation broth. The results indicated that after overexpression of ecdB and ecdK, the ECB titer increased by 25.8% and 23.7%, respectively, compared with that of the wild-type strain, reaching (2 030.5±99.2) mg/L and (1 996.4±151.4) mg/L. However, the deletion of fksA associated with cell wall synthesis resulted in damage to the cell wall, affecting strain growth and product synthesis. The engineered strain overexpressing ecdB was fermented in a 50-L bioreactor, in which the ECB titer reached 2 234.5 mg/L. The findings laid a research foundation for the subsequent metabolic engineering of this strain.

Objective:To investigate the clinical characteristics and genetic etiology of Duchenne muscular dystrophy (DMD) with myogenic tumors. Methods:The clinical data of 2 children with DMD combined with myogenic tumors diagnosed in Children′s Hospital Affiliated to Zhengzhou University in July 2021 and February 2022 were collected. The relevant literature was reviewed to summarize the clinical characteristics and explore the mechanism of the dystrophin ( DMD) gene in myogenic tumors. Results:A 6-year and 10-month-old boy with DMD (deletion of exon 45) and a 12-year-old boy with DMD (deletion of exon 51) were diagnosed with tumors. They were diagnosed with DMD for delayed motor development in the Department of Neurology of Children′s Hospital Affiliated to Zhengzhou University. They presented with painless masses in the waist. Postoperative pathological diagnosis: the pathology and immunohistochemistry of case 1 showed an alveolar rhabdomyosarcoma (ARMS) and both myogenin and myogenic differentiation 1 positive; the pathology and immunohistochemistry of case 2 showed an alveolar soft part sarcoma(ASPS) and transcription factor enhancer 3 positive; both cases were myogenic tumors. Literature review (including this paper) showed that there were in total 14 cases with DMD combined with myogenic tumors including 13 cases of rhabdomyosarcoma (RMS) and 1 case of ASPS. All of them are male, and the age of onset of the tumors was 4-17 years. Pathological subtypes were described in 6 cases of ARMS and 5 cases of embryonal RMS, and were not described in 2 cases. The 9 cases described all had large deletions in the DMD gene which can change the reading frame of the DMD gene, and all gene mutations did not exceed exon 62. Conclusions:DMD gene with deletion may increase the risk of having myogenic tumors, and RMS is more common, which is manifested as painless mass in early stage. All DMD gene deletions do not exceed exon 62 and lead to change of the gene reading frame with severe clinical phenotype and degenerative changes in muscle function.

BACKGROUND:Developed by the esteemed Chinese medicine master Wei Guikang,Tongan Decoction has proven highly effective in treating knee osteoarthritis. However, the mechanism of action is yet unclear.OBJECTIVE:To elucidate how Tongan Decoction modulates synovial macrophage polarization as a therapeutic strategy for knee osteoarthritis in a rat model.METHODS:(1)We employed high-throughput microRNA sequencing and polymerase chain reaction to analyze the differentially expressed miRNA in synovial macrophages of normal and knee osteoarthritis rats.Predicted target genes of miR-27a were identified using bioinformatics databases, with subsequent validation through luciferase assays.A total of 68 Sprague-Dawley rats were randomly divided into normal control group(n=16),model group(n=16),miR-27a overexpression group(n=12),Tongan Decoction group(n=12),and Tongan Decoction+miR-27a inhibition group(n=12).The miR-27a overexpression group and the Tongan Decoction+miR-27a inhibition group were injected with miR-27a mimic and miR-27a inhibitor in the right knee joint cavity, respectively, once daily for 5 continuous days.On the 15th day after modeling, the Tongan Decoction group and the Tongan Decoction+miR-27a inhibition group were given Tongan Decoction by gastric lavage, and the other three groups were given saline by gastric lavage, once daily for 14 continuous days. After administration, behavioral tests,X-rays,hematoxylin-eosin staining of synovial and cartilage tissues of the knee joint and immunofluorescence staining of synovial tissues of the knee joint,RT-PCR,and Western blot were performed.RESULTS AND CONCLUSION:High-throughput sequencing of miRNA showed low expression of miR-27a in synovial tissues of rats with knee osteoarthritis. The target gene of miR-27a was nuclear factor κB,and luciferase assay showed that the two could bind to each other.Behavioral assays showed that miR-27a overexpression or Tongan Decoction alleviated joint dysfunction in rats with knee osteoarthritis, and miR-27a inhibition antagonized the effect of Tongan Decoction.X-ray films and hematoxylin-eosin staining showed that miR-27a overexpression or Tongan Decoction reduced the degree of knee osteoarthritis and miR-27a inhibition weakened the therapeutic effect of Tongan Decoction. The results of RT-PCR and western blot assay showed that compared with the normal control group, the expression of interleukin 10 was reduced in the model group(P<0.05),and the expression of matrix metalloproteinase 13,interleukin 1β,and nuclear factor κB was elevated in the model group(P<0.05).miR-27a overexpression or Tongan Decoction could differently reverse the changes in the above-mentioned indexes, while miR-27a inhibition weakened the effect of Tongan Decoction.Immunofluorescence staining results showed that CD86 protein expression in the model group was higher than that in the normal control group(P<0.05),and CD206 protein expression was lower than that in the normal control group(P<0.05);miR-27a overexpression group and Tongan Decoction had lower CD86 protein expression than that in the model group(P<0.05),and higher CD206 protein expression than that in the model group(P<0.05);in the Tongan Decoction+miR-27a inhibition group,CD86 protein expression was higher(P<0.05)and CD206 protein expression was lower than that in the Tongan Decoction group(P<0.05).Tongan Decoction mitigates knee osteoarthritis by upregulating miR-27a expression and suppressing nuclear factor κB activity, which improves knee joint function and further treats knee osteoarthritis.
