Ferroptosis is a form of programmed cell death,which plays a crucial driving role in the onset and progression of diabetic nephropathy(DN).Ferroptosis is closely related to the damage of renal intrinsic cells in patients with diabetes.Chinese materia medica can improve DN by regulating the ferroptosis of renal intrinsic cells,with a good research and application prospect.This article reviewed the key regulatory factors and regulatory pathways of ferroptosis in DN,explained the"imbalance between yin and yang"of ferroptosis in DN based on TCM theories,and combed the research status of targeted inhibition of ferroptosis by active components of Chinese materia medica.The regulation of active components of Chinese materia medica on ferroptosis in DN has the characteristics of multiple targets,multiple links and integrity,which can provide a reference for the mechanism research and drug development of Chinese materia medica in treating DN.

The bony window technique refers to cutting the intact bone plate to form a bone window and a free bone block to get access to lesions under the bone. At the end of the surgery, the dislocated bony lid needs to be repositioned to its original position. In endodontic microsurgery, compared with conventional osteotomy, the bony window technique has the advantages of improving the view of surgery and operability, reducing postoperative bone defects, promoting bone healing, and maintaining the integrity of the jaw outline. Accurate positioning and preparation of the bony window are important prerequisites for subsequent operations during the surgery, but it′s difficult in some situations, such as when the operative area is located posteriorly or the bone cortex on the lesion surface is thick and intact. What′s more, whether the free bone block can be stabilized in situ after repositioning is closely related to the prognosis of the surgery. The complementary application of digital navigation technology and bone cavity filling materials may help to improve the bony window technique and provide more possibilities for the retention of affected teeth in difficult cases.

Objective:To analyze the detection rate of hyperuricemia (HUA) and the distribution of serum uric acid (SUA) levels by multiple correlation analysis in middle-aged and elderly population receiving health examination.Methods:In this cross-sectional study, the study object were 25 587 middle-aged and elderly people who receiving health examination in Nanfang Hospital from January to December in 2014. According to the latest diagnostic criteria, the population was divided into HUA and non-HUA groups. Furthermore, the subjects were divided into 4 groups with the level of SUA (Q 1: SUA<313 μmol/L, Q 2:313 μmol/L≤SUA<375 μmol/L, Q 3:375 μmol/L≤SUA<440 μmol/L, Q 4: SUA≥440 μmol/L). According to the data types, two independent sample t test, Mann-Whitney U test, Chi-square test and multiple correspondence analysis were used for statistical analysis. Results:The mean age of the study subjects was (54.78±8.80) years with 16 570 males (64.8%) and 9 017 females (35.2%). The overall detection rate of HUA was 31.5%, and it was higher in men (43.1%) than in women (10.1%). The body mass index(BMI), systolic blood pressure, diastolic blood pressure, total cholesterol (TC), low-density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-C), triglyceride (TG) and fasting blood glucose (FBG) in the HUA group were all higher than those in the non-HUA group (all P<0.001); and high-density lipoprotein cholesterol (HDL-C) was lower than that in the non-HUA group( P<0.001). In multiple correspondence analysis, Cronbach′s α coefficients of the first dimension and the second dimension was 0.608 and 0.237, respectively. Further analysis was performed stratified by gender, it indicated that 45-<55 years old male and overweight were closely associated with the Q 3 group, fatty liver and hyperlipidemia were closely associated with Q 4 group; the 55-<65 years old female, hyperlipidemia, fatty liver and obesity were closely associated with the Q 3 group, while hyperglycemia and hypertension were closely associated with the Q 4 group. Conclusion:The detection rate of HUA in middle-aged and elderly population receiving health examination was high, and the detection rate of HUA in male was higher than that in female. SUA levels are higher in middle-aged and elderly men who have fatty liver and hyperlipidemia. While SUA levels are higher in middle-aged and elderly women who have hyperglycemia and hypertension.

Langerhans cell histiocytosis (LCH) is a rare inflammatory myeloid neoplastic disease which is characterized by CD1a + /CD207 + dendritic cell proliferation.LCH can affect multiple systems, and the prevalence of central nervous system involved LCH (CNS-LCH) ranges from 3.4% to 57%.The pathogenesis of CNS-LCH remains unclear.CNS-LCH can be divided into the following: focal mass lesions and lesions associated with neurodegeneration (ND). The clinical manifestations of CNS-LCH vary greatly due to different involved organs.The hypothalamic pituitary-adrenal (HPA) axis is among the most commonly involved site in CNS-LCH with focal mass lesions, and HPA infiltration presents clinically as diabetes insipidus and deficiency of anterior pituitary hormone secretion.LCH-ND is a rare, long-term neurologic complication which can seriously affect patients′life quality.It is mainly characterized by neurological disorders and/or progressive imaging changes.The current standard treatment of CNS-LCH focal mass lesions is based on the Histiocyte Society LCHIII approach, while there is no established optimal therapy for patients who develop LCH-ND.The pathogenesis, clinical manifestations, diagnosis and treatment of CNS-LCH are briefly reviewed in this article in order to provide a reference for clinical diagnosis and treatment.

Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) is a neurodegenerative disease characterized by the degeneration of upper and lower motor neurons selectively. Although the motor system lesion is the most predominant clinical manifestation of ALS, with the progression of the understanding of the pathogenesis and clinical detection of the disease, more and more patients are found to have extra-motor features of ALS, such as somatosensory involvement, etc. The research results demonstrated that ALS might be a kind of disorder combined with sensory disturbance according to the electrophysiology, neuropathology, neuroimaging, animal model simulation, genetic evidence, and other methods detected. We, herein, review the prevalence and detection methods especially the aspect of genetic associations implicated in the sensory nerve disturbance of ALS.

Objective To investigate the effects of curcumin on myosin light chain kinase(MLCK)in the intestinal mucosa of rats with nonalcoholic fatty liver disease(NAFLD). Methods 35 SD rats were randomly di-vided into the normal control group ,the high fat group and the curcumin group. The high fat group ,curcumin group were given high fat diet for 16 weeks. After 8 weeks of high fat feeding in the curcumin group ,the rats were gavaged with 200 mg/(kg·d)curcumin for 8 weeks. The levels of ALT,AST,LPS and DAO in blood and expres-sion of MLCK in the intestinal mucosa were detected. The changes of liver pathology and tight junction(TJ)of the intestinal mucosa were observed. Results Compared with the control group,the blood levels of ALT,AST,LPS and DAO in the high fat group were obviously increased(P<0.05);Compared with the high fat group,the blood levels of ALT、AST、LPS and DAO in the curcumin group were obviously decreased (P < 0.05). In the high fat group ,hepatocellular steatosis was obvious ,while in the curcumin group hepatocellular steatosis was decreased. TJ was disrupted in the high fat group ,and the intercellular space was larger in the TJ group than the control group (P<0.05). The intercellular space was narrower in the curcumin group than the high fat group(P<0.05). The expression of MLCK in the high fat group was significant higher than that in the control group(P<0.05). The pos-itive staining in the curcumin group was significant lower than that in the high fat group (P < 0.05). Conclusion Curcumin can ameliorate hepatic steatosis by downregulating expression of MLCK in the intestinal mucosa of rats with NAFLD,improving TJ structure of the intestinal mucosa.

Objective To understand the academic atmosphere current situation of graduate students and put forward relevant countermeasures to protect the academic integrity of graduate students.Methods The graduate student'scientific ethics and academic atmosphere construction situation of graduate students in 10 colleges and universities in Chongqing were investigated by questionnaire survey and analyzed.Results Through 1555 questionnaires,it was found that the average investment of time on scientific research in gruduate students was insufficient,the motivation of learning was complicated,and the situation of preventing academic misconduct was serious.Conclusion This study suggests that colleges and universities should establish an academic integrity security system for graduate students,including establishment of academic integrity system and specializing academic integrity supervision institutions,and strengthing academic integrity education.

Since the implementation of synergy of medical education, the education of clinical medi-cal postgraduate of academic degree inevitably has faced problems such as the decrease quality of the source of students, unclear training objectives and confused training model, and bad job prospects. Can these problems be solved effectively or not, which is directly related to the coordinated development of clinical medicine professional degree and academic degree. This study analyzes the problems faced by the graduate education of clinical medicine after the synergy of medical education and puts forward the corresponding countermeasures:firstly, to attract excellent clinical medical undergraduates and encourage medical students of related subjects or clinical doctors having working experience to apply for academic degree;secondly, the university, supervisors and graduates need to clear the training target and ensure the quality of graduate education; thirdly, employment guidance should be carried out throughout all the study stage of graduates, and the school should guide the graduates to form correct opinion of employment and to plan their career reasonably.

AIM:To investigate the effects of glucagon-like peptide-1 (GLP-1) on mRNA expression of SOCS-3 and SREBP-1c in the rats with nonalcoholic fatty liver disease.METHODS:Male SD rats were randomly divided into normal control ( NC) group, high fat ( HF) group and HF+liraglutide ( Lira) group.The rats in HF group and HF+Lira group were given high-fat diet for 16 weeks.After 12 weeks of high-fat diet feeding in HF+Lira group, Lira (600μg? kg-1? d-1 ) was intraperitoneally injected for 4 weeks.At the end of the 16th week, the rats were killed.The pathologi-cal changes of the liver were observed under optical microscope.The serum levels of alanine aminotransferase ( ALT) , as-partate aminotransferase ( AST) , triglyceride ( TG) and total cholesterol ( TC) were detected by automatic biochemical an-alyzer.TG contents of liver were measured by GPO-PAP method.The fasting insulin ( FINS) was determined by ELISA, and insulin resistance index was assessed by homeostasis mode assessment ( HOMA-IR) .The mRNA expression of SOCS-3 and SREBP-1c in the liver tissues was detected by RT-qPCR.RESULTS:Compared with NC group, HOMA-IR, TG of liver, and the serum levels of ALT, AST, TG, TC and FINS in HF group were obviously increased (P<0.01).Compared with HF group, HOMA-IR, TG of liver, and the serum levels of ALT, AST, TG, TC and FINS in HF+Lira group were all obviously decreased (P<0.05 or P<0.01).The mRNA expression of SOCS-3 and SREBP-1c in HF group was signifi-cantly higher than that in NC group (P<0.01).The mRNA expression of SOCSV3 and SREBP-1c in HF+Lira group was significantly decreased as compared with HF group (P<0.05).CONCLUSION:Liraglutide may improve the IR and re-
duce TG of liver through decreasing the mRNA expression of SOCS-3 and SREBP-1c, so as to play a therapeutic role in nonalcoholic fatty liver disease.
