Purpose To compare the clinical and cardiovascular magnetic resonance(CMR)characteristics of hypertrophic cardiomyopathy(HCM)with and without diabetes mellitus, and to investigate the effect of diabetes mellitus on left ventricular remodeling in HCM patients.Materials and Methods A total of 96 HCM patients diagnosed with CMR in Chengdu Fifth People's Hospital from January 2021 to March 2023,retrospectively.They were divided into HCM with diabetes mellitus group(n=22)and HCM without diabetes mellitus group(n=74)according to whether they had diabetes mellitus. The clinical baseline and CMR data of HCM patients were analyzed, and left ventricular function and strain were compared between the two groups. Results The HCM group with diabetes mellitus was observed to have a significantly higher left ventricular mass index compared to HCM without diabetes mellitus group[(1.33±0.50)g/ml vs.(1.10±0.23)g/ml;t=3.002,P=0.003],along with a significantly lower left ventricular global circumferential strain[-19.69(-21.82,-17.06)%vs.-16.33(-20.84,-13.86)%;Z=543.000,P<0.05]and global longitudinal strain[(-8.69±3.94)%vs.(-10.74±3.62)%;t=2.227,P<0.05)].Furthermore,diabetes mellitus was identified as an independent factor associated with an increased left ventricular mass index(β=0.330,P<0.05)by multivariate linear regression analysis. Conclusion In patients with HCM,diabetes mellitus is independently associated with left ventricular remodeling. The global circumferential strain and longitudinal strain of HCM patients with diabetes mellitus decreases significantly, suggesting that diabetes mellitus has a significant impact on left ventricular strain in HCM patients.

Objective:To adapt the English version of exteroceptive body awareness questionnaire (EBA-q) into Chinese, and evaluate its reliability and validity in college students. Methods:English version EBA-q was translated and culturally adapted into Chinese, and the tests were administered from October to December 2024, with valid data collected from 1 071 college students. Item analysis, exploratory factor analysis, confirmatory factor analysis, criterion-related validity analysis, and reliability analysis were conducted by SPSS 23.0 and Mplus 8.3 softwares.Results:(1) The Chinese version of EBA-q contained seventeen items across five factors: visual awareness, tactile awareness, body coordination, awareness of body changes and awareness of clothing fit. The five-factor measurement model fitted the data well ( χ2/ df=2.24, CFI=0.95, TLI=0.94, RMSEA=0.05, SRMR=0.06). (2) The EBA-q scores were positively correlated with the scores of noticing, body listening, public self-consciousness, and private self-consciousness ( r=0.46, 0.36, 0.09, 0.25, all P<0.01). (3)The Cronbach's α coefficient, split-half reliability and test-retest reliability of the Chinese version of EBA-q were 0.79, 0.85 and 0.77, respectively(all P<0.01). Conclusion:The Chinese version of the EBA-q has demonstrated good reliability in assessing external body awareness among college students, but its validity requires further verification.

Objective:To explore the application value of the integrated situational simulation teaching model based on the "Internet+"in obstetrics and gynecology clinical clerkship.Methods:Fifty-eight undergraduate students enrolled in 2019 who participated in the clinical clerkship at the Chengdu Fifth People's Hospital from June to September 2023 were selected and divided into a research group ( n=29) and a control group ( n=29) using the random number table method. The research group received the integrated situational simulation teaching model based on "Internet+", while the control group received traditional teaching methods. After clinical clerkship, theoretical tests, teacher evaluation, and questionnaire surveys were conducted to evaluate and compare the teaching effectiveness of the two groups of students. SPSS 23.0 was used for t test and chi-square test. Results:After receiving the integrated situational simulation teaching model based on "Internet+" for clinical clerkship, the research group achieved significantly higher theoretical test scores than the control group [(83.62±4.95) vs. (72.93±4.70), t=8.43, P<0.001]. The scores of all items in the mini-clinical evaluation exercise of the research group were higher than those of the control group ( P<0.01). According to the teaching feedback questionnaire, all students were satisfied with this new teaching model and reported that this model increased their interest in learning. Moreover, 86.21% (25/29) and 96.55% (28/29) of the students believed that the new model not only improved learning efficiency but also facilitated the integration of theory and practice. Conclusions:The integrated situational simulation teaching model based on "Internet+" is feasible in obstetrics and gynecology clinical clerkship and contributes to enhancing the quality of clinical clerkship teaching. This model is worthy of further research and promotion.

Objective To investigate the risk factors of microcirculation obstruction(MVO)after reperfusion in patients with acute myocardial infarction(AMI).Methods Forty-one patients with AMI who received treatment with myocardial reperfusion were retrospectively selected.Cardiac magnetic resonance(CMR)was used to determine whether the patients had MVO.The patients were divided into MVO and non-MVO groups. The basic data, laboratory examination and CMR parameters of patients were collected and compared between the groups, and the risk factors related to MVO were screened out by logistic regression analysis. Results Delayed myocardial enhancement was observed in all 41 patients, among which 11 cases(26.8%)were with MVO.A total of 206 delayed myocardial enhancement segments were observed,of which 77 segments combined with MVO and 129 segments without MVO.AMI patients with MVO had a higher rate of transmural myocardial infarction, greater infarct volume, left ventricular myocardial mass(LVMM)and edema degree,as well as lower ejection fraction of left and right ventricles(P<0.05).Multivariate logistic regression analysis indicated that infarct volume[odds ratio(OR)=1.116,95%confidence interval(CI)1.017-1.224,P=0.020]was an independent risk factor for MVO after AMI reperfusion. Conclusion Infarct volume is an independent risk factor for MVO after AMI reperfusion, and MVO is associated with left and right ventricular function impairment.

Objective To explore the altered expression of circular RNA (circRNA) and mRNA in the mouse cortex in the early phase of subarachnoid hemorrhage (SAH) and possible biological functions of the circRNA in early brain injury (EBI).Methods A total of 18 C57BL/6J male mice were randomly divided into a sham and a SAH group (n=9).SAH models were prepared by endovascular perforation.Total RNAs of brain samples were extracted to construct the cDNA library 24 h after operation.RNA-sequencing (RNA-seq) was carried out by HiSeqTM 2500 User Guide and followed by RT-qPCR for confirmation.Reads were aligned to the mouse transcriptome to obtain expression profiles ofcircRNA and mRNA.Bioinformatic study included GO analysis,KEGG pathway analysis and forecast of targeted miRNA of circRNA.Results A total of 26 circRNA (6 up-regulated and 20 down-regulated) and 804 mRNA (396 up-regulated and 408 down-regulated) were significantly changed. These altered mRNA were mainly related to regulation of neuronal synaptic plasticity, inflammatory and immune response.Bioinformatics showed that some significantly altered circRNA contained binding sites for many miRNA.The RT-qPCR analysis of 4 randomly selected circRNA (circFoxj3,circSetbp1,circArpp21 and circ2010111 I01Rik) confirmed the accuracy of RNA-seq.Conclusions SAH alters the expression of circRNA in mouse cortex and the differentially expressed circRNA may be involved in regulation of EBI following SAH,promising a potential therapeutic target for the diagnosis, treatment and prognosis of SAH.
