Objective:To understand the current status of family resilience in children with autism and explore its influencing factors, providing a basis for developing intervention measures to improve family resilience in these families. Methods:Convenience sampling was used to select children with autism and their caregivers who underwent rehabilitation training at the Department of Child Developmental Behavior, Third Affiliated Hospital of Zhengzhou University from March to September 2023. A cross-sectional survey was conducted using a general information questionnaire, the Chinese version of the Family Resilience Assessment Scale, the Chinese version of the Parenting Burnout Scale, and the Caregiver Stress Scale. Results:A total of 280 questionnaires were distributed, and 271 valid questionnaires were collected. Among the 271 children with autism, 210 were male and 61 were female, with the majority aged 3-5 years old (169 cases). Among the 271 caregivers, 21 were male and 250 were female, with the majority aged 30-39 years old (149 cases). The total score of the Chinese version of the Family Resilience Assessment Scale was (70.59 ± 14.08) points, with scores of (49.96 ± 10.23) points for family communication and problem-solving, (7.13 ± 1.62) points for social resource utilization, and (13.52 ± 3.31) points for maintaining a positive attitude. Multiple linear regression analysis showed that the child′s age, disease duration, reimbursement method, parenting burnout, and caregiver stress were influencing factors of family resilience in children with autism ( t values were -10.40-3.48, all P<0.05). Conclusions:The level of family resilience in children with autism needs improvement. Higher levels of parenting burnout and caregiver stress are associated with lower levels of family resilience. Future interventions should be developed based on these influencing factors to promote the physical and mental health of children with autism and their caregivers.

Objective:To investigate the effects of smoking cessation on lung function improvement in patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) and the related mechanisms. Methods:A case-control study was conducted involving 184 patients with COPD admitted to the Department of Respiratory and Critical Care Medicine at Lishui Central Hospital from January 2022 to May 2023. Based on smoking behavior following 6-month smoking cessation intervention, the patients were categorized into three groups: 56 patients who continued to smoke (control group), 63 patients who completely quit smoking (observation group), and the remaining 65 patients who were partial quitters. Forced vital capacity (FVC), forced expiratory volume in 1 second (FEV 1), and peak expiratory flow rate were monitored before and after the intervention in both the control and observation groups. Additionally, serum levels of interleukin-6 (IL-6), interleukin-1 beta (IL-1β), tumor necrosis factor alpha, nuclear factor kappa B (NF-κB), malondialdehyde, superoxide dismutase, and glutathione peroxidase were measured. Western blotting was performed to detect the protein levels of phosphoinositide 3-kinase (PI3K), serine/threonine kinase (Akt), Forkhead box protein O1 (FoxO1), IL-6, IL-1β, NF-κB, nuclear factor erythroid 2-related factor 2, and heme oxygenase-1 in peripheral blood cells. FoxO1 chromatin immunoprecipitation sequencing was performed to analyze FoxO1-bound chromatin. Results:After smoking cessation intervention, the FEV 1, FVC, FEV 1/FVC ratio, and peak expiratory flow rate in the observation group were (1.29 ± 0.32) L, (1.96 ± 0.36) L, (71.81 ± 8.57)%, and (2.58 ± 0.72) L/s, respectively, which were significantly higher than those in the control group [(1.10 ± 0.37) L, (1.72 ± 0.34) L, (63.17 ± 8.82)%, (2.20 ± 0.71) L/s, t = -3.00, -3.73, -5.42, -2.89, all P < 0.01]. The serum levels of IL-6, NF-κB, IL-1β, and tumor necrosis factor alpha in the observation group were (21.67 ± 3.25) ng/L, (19.58 ± 4.02) ng/L, (24.30 ± 4.03) ng/L, and (270.14 ± 32.49) ng/L, respectively, which were significantly lower than those in the control group [(39.18 ± 4.34) ng/L, (35.48 ± 4.17) ng/L, (34.42 ± 4.05) ng/L, (445.04 ± 39.12) ng/L, t = 25.08, 21.16, 13.64, 26.63, all P < 0.001]. Additionally, the serum malondialdehyde level in the observation group was significantly lower than that in the control group ( t = 29.08, P < 0.001). In contrast, the levels of superoxide dismutase and glutathione peroxidase in the observation group were significantly higher than those in the control group ( t = -9.21, -9.59, both P < 0.001). The phosphorylation levels of PI3K, Akt, and FoxO1 in peripheral blood cells were significantly lower in the observation group compared with the control group ( t = 6.64, 9.35, 7.12, all P < 0.001). FoxO1 bound to genes involved in inflammation and oxidative stress signaling pathways. The levels of nuclear factor erythroid 2-related factor 2 and heme oxygenase-1 in the observation group were significantly higher than those in the control group ( t = -4.97, -10.49, both P < 0.05). Conclusions:Smoking cessation intervention can inhibit PI3K/Akt phosphorylation in patients with COPD, and then activate FoxO1, exert anti-inflammatory and antioxidant effects, and inhibit the deterioration of lung function in patients with COPD who smoke.

ObjectiveTo explore the clinical effect of Tiaoxin formula in the treatment of patients with coronary heart disease and anxiety/depression and its impact on serum levels of 5-hydroxytryptamine (5-HT), β- thromboglobulin (β-TG) and myeloperoxidase (MPO). MethodA total of 66 patients with coronary heart disease and anxiety/depression were randomly divided into the Tiaoxin formula group and Deanxit group, 33 cases in each group. Both groups were given fundamental western treatment for coronary heart disease. Additionally, the Deanxit group was treated with flupentixol and melitracen tablets and the Tiaoxin formula group was treated with Tiaoxin Formula. The treatment lasted 8 weeks. Before and after treatment, the changes of clinical efficacy, Patient Health Questionnaire (PHQ-9), Generalized Anxiety Disorder (GAD-7) scale, Seattle Angina Questionnaire (SAQ), heart rate variability, and serum 5-HT, β-TG and MPO levels, and incidence of adverse reactions in the two groups were observed. ResultThere was no significant difference in the baseline indexes of patients in the two groups, and thus the two groups were comparable. After treatment for 8 weeks, the total effective rate for traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) syndromes in the Tiaoxin Formula group was 87.88% (29/33) higher than 63.64% (21/33) in the Deanxit group (Z=-2.653, P<0.05). Compared with those before treatment, the PHQ-9 and GAD-7 scores of the two groups were decreased at week 4 and 8 of treatment (P<0.05), and there was no statistical difference between two groups. And the SAQ dimension scores of the two groups were increased at week 4 and 8 of treatment (P<0.05). Compared with the Deanxit group, the Tiaoxin Formula group had elevation in two dimension scores: Physical limitation and angina stability (P<0.05). Compared with the conditions before treatment, the serum 5-HT level in the two groups were increased, while the β-TG and MPO levels were lowered (P<0.05), and there was no distinct difference between two groups. In addition, the standard deviation of normal-to-normal intervals (SDNN) and standard deviation of average normal-to-normal intervals (SDANN) of the heart rate variability in the Tiaoxin formula group were elevated after treatment (P<0.05), which were more significant than those of the Deanxit group (P<0.05). During the treatment period, the incidence of adverse drug reactions in the Tiaoxin formula group was lower than that in the Deanxit group (P<0.05), and no adverse events were observed in the two groups. ConclusionTiaoxin formula was effective for the treatment of patients with coronary heart disease accompanied by anxiety and depression, which improved the clinical symptoms, increased serum 5-HT levels, and decreased serum β-TG and MPO levels, and had few adverse reactions and high safety for patients, showing a high clinical value.

Chinese Journal of Medical Education Research 2013;(12):1214-1218
Objective To estimate the incentive and guidance of degree policy for the doctoral student's capacity-building. Methods Totally 1185 published SCI papers completed by 1 013 doc-toral students from 2008 to 2012 in Capital Medical University were filed and impact factors of these SCI journals taken as analysis objects were organized using Microsoft Office Excellsoftware. ANOVA was used for data procession and t-test was used for statistical analysis. P<0.05 signifies statistically significant difference. Results This study showed that 97%doctoral students can complete SCI paper publication in compliance with requirements of doctoral degree policy. Quality of SCI papers of aca-demic degree PhDs was higher than that of professional degree PhDs(P=0.00). Level of SCI papers of PhDs in basic disciplines was higher than that of PhDs in clinical disciplines (P=0.00). In addition, this study found that higher leveled SCI papers originated primarily from the national key disciplines and co-first authors. Conclusions The appropriate degree policies play an important guiding role in enhancing the quality of doctoral students' education. Degree-granting units should make more specific guidance policies according to different types of disciplines and cultures, such as raising published arti-cle requirements to the clinical professional PhDs, improving and standardizing relevant degree poli-cies about SCI papers published by co-first authors, strengthening disciplinary conditions building, etc.

OBJECTIVETo investigate the association of DNA methyltransferase 3B (DNMT3B) gene polymorphism with the development of early-onset schizophrenia.
METHODSA single nucleotide polymorphism (rs6119954) of DNMT3B gene was genotyped in 279 early-onset schizophrenic patients and 395 healthy controls, using TaqMan SNP Genotyping Assays. To detect the interaction between the DNMT3B gene and environmental factors, the prenatal information of the patients was collected.
RESULTSGenotype distribution of the rs6119954 locus was significantly different between patients and controls (Chi-square = 12.27, P< 0.01). The frequency of the G allele of this locus was significantly higher in patients than in controls (Chi-square = 12.76, P< 0.01). The G allele was highly associated with an earlier age of onset (P= 0.026). No interaction between the DNMT3B gene and environmental factors was found.
CONCLUSIONDNMT3B gene is associated with early-onset schizophrenia and rs6119954 may plays an important role in age of onset of schizophrenia.
