Objective:To translate the Creature of Habit Scale(COHS)into Chinese version and test its va-lidity and reliability in community adults. Methods:A total of 474 adult participants(Sample 1)were recruited through social media platforms for item analysis and exploratory factor analysis.Additionally,4 102 community a-dults(Sample 2)were recruited for confirmatory factor analysis, criterion validity, and internal consistency reliabili-ty testing.Four weeks later,235 participants were randomly selected from Sample 1 for a retest. The State-Trait Anxiety Inventory-Trait Questionnaire(STAI-T),Obsessive-Compulsive Inventory-Revised(OCI-R),and Brief Barratt Impulsiveness Scale(BBIS)were used as criterion questionnaires. Results:The Chinese version of the COHS contained 23 items, grouped into two factors, namely regularity and automaticity. The item loadings ranged from 0.40 to 0.89,with the two-factor model cumulatively explaining 56.7%of the total variance.Confirmatory factor analysis indicated a good model fit(x2/df=2.17,CFI=0.86,TLI=0.85,RMSEA=0.07,SRMR=0.06).The total COHS scores were positively correlated with the STAI-T and OCI-R scores(r=0.32,0.50;Ps<0.01),and the automaticity factor scores were positively correlated with the BBIS scores(r=0.30,P<0.01).The Cron-bach's α coefficient for the total scale was 0.89,and the test-retest reliability was 0.87.Conclusion:The Chinese version of the Creature of Habit Scale is a reliable and valid tool for measuring habitual behaviors in community a-dults.

Chinese Journal of Psychiatry 2024;57(2):108-114
Childhood unpredictability is an independent dimension of adverse childhood experiences, which has a unique and important impact on the development of physical and mental health, also as a critical risk factor of psychopathology. However, few of researchers or clinical practitioners pay attention to the impact of childhood unpredictability. This article first introduces the impact of childhood unpredictability on psychiatric symptoms and behavioral selections related to survival and reproduction, then discusses the biological changes that may affect psychosomatic symptoms. Finally, this article focuses on the measurement of childhood unpredictability and aims to provide more comprehensive perspectives on the relationships between childhood adversity and psychopathology.

Compulsive behavior is a trans-diagnostic symptom. However, researchers' understanding of compulsive behavior is still argumentative. Most conventional understanding of compulsive behavior is that this symptom may be related to abnormalities in the brain goal-direct and habitual learning systems.Nevertheless, majority of studies only explore the role of goal-direct system in compulsive behavior, and they pay less attention to how the habit system affects compulsive behavior. However, individuals with compulsive behaviors will show more habitual behaviors and their abnormal brain neural circuits overlap with the brain neural structures activated by habits.Besides, starting from habit system can also explain some genetic risk factors of compulsive behavior. On top of this, habit hypothesis can bring new insights in understanding compulsive behavior from a pharmacological aspect. Therefore, in this review, the evidences from behavioral, neurobiological, genetic and pharmacological aspects were combined to explore the new insights brought by the habit hypothesis in understanding compulsive behavior, and propose the urgent problems need to be solved in current compulsive behavior habit studies.
6.Progress in research and application of the hierarchical taxonomy of psychopathology
Chinese Journal of Psychiatry 2023;56(1):3-10
The existing diagnostic systems of psychiatry are mainly based on phenomenology, and their application in scientific research and clinical practice has certain limitations. The hierarchical taxonomy of psychopathology (HiTOP) model was proposed based on the structural evidence in the past nearly 100 years. HiTOP hews closely to existing data and construct the psychopathology classification system by empirical method. Here, we review the background, content, research progress and clinical application about HiTOP model and prospect its application in psychiatry in the future.

OBJECTIVE:To investigate the role of clinical pharmacists on the individualized treatment of children with subglottic Talaromyces marneffei infection. METHODS :The clinical pharmacists participated in the medication procedure for a case of subglottic T. marneffei infection child . The clinical pharmacists suggested that Budesonide suspension for inhalation should be stopped, according to the subglottic infection pathogen type (T. marneffei );Itraconazole oral solution should be chosen and taken orally 2.5 mg/kg,q12 h,and indicators as liver function ,blood potassium should be monitored regularly. However ,as Itraconazole oral solution needed to be applied for temporary purchase ,Itraconazole capsules 2.5 mg/kg,q12 h,p.o.,was administrated temporarily ;clinical pharmacists suggested that Itraconazole capsules should be taken after meal ,and the doctor changed the feeding mode of milk from q 4 h to continuous pumping. After purchased ,Itraconazole oral solution was used instead 2.5 mg/kg,q12 h in fasting state ,and according the clinical pharmacist ’s suggestion ,the doctor changed the nursing method to q 4 h milk pumping. After purchasing and using oral solution instead ,clinical pharmacists suggested taking it at fasting state ;according to the monitoring results and target range (0.5-1 mg/L),oral dose of Itraconazole oral solution was finally adjusted to 8.3 mg/kg, q12 h. In view of the diarrhea during the treatment ,clinical pharmacists suggested to continue the original treatment after considering the effectiveness and importance of the treatment ;at the same time ,discharge medication education should be carried out. RESULTS : The doctors adopted the suggestions of the clinical pharmacists. The child got a clinical improvement and was discharged after 48 days. CONCLUSIONS :Clinical pharmacists participate in the treatment of children with T. marneffei infection, timely assist physicians to adjust and improve the medication regimen ,which improve the efficacy and safety of medication for children.
