Objective To explore the dietary nutrition status and nutritional intervention strategy of patients with Alzheimer’s disease (AD). Methods Among the 1 332 patients with AD diagnosed at Xijing Hospital from January 2021 to December 2023 were enrolled as the study subjects. The dietary intake data of patients were collected through questionnaire surveys and dietary reviews. During the study period, 30 patients did not complete the intervention due to withdrawal or loss of follow-up. Based on the actual number of people who completed the intervention, AD patients were randomly divided into intervention group (n=651, individualized nutritional intervention strategy) and control group (n=651, routine nutritional intervention), and both groups were intervened for 3 months. The cognitive function (MMSE score and MoCA score), nutritional status (MNA scale, NRS-2002 scale), and quality of life (GQOL-74) of the two groups of AD patients were compared to evaluate the effectiveness of the intervention strategies. Results A total of 1 332 questionnaires were distributed, and 1 302 valid questionnaires were finally recovered, with an effective recovery rate of 97.75% (1 302/1 332). The survey results showed that there were no statistical differences in baseline characteristics and dietary nutrition status between the two groups of AD patients before intervention (P>0.05). After nutritional intervention, the cognitive function, quality of life, and nutritional status of patients in the intervention group were significantly improved. The MMSE score, MoCA score, MNA score, and GQOL-74 score of the intervention group were significantly higher than those of the control group, while the NRS-2002 score was lower than that of the control group (P<0.05). Conclusion Nutritional intervention strategy has a significant effect on improving nutritional status, cognitive function, and quality of life of AD patients.

Three taraxerane nortriterpenoids were isolated from mastic by using various modern chromatographic separation techniques. They were identified as(5R,8R,9R,10S,11S,12R,13S,17R,18R)-28-norlupa-11,12-epoxy-14-taraxerene-3,16-dione(1),(5R,8R,9R,10S,11S,12R,13S,17S,18S)-17-hydroxy-28-norlupa-11,12-epoxy-14-taraxerene-3-one(2), and(5R,8R,9R,10R,11S,12R,13R,14S,17S,18S)-14,17-epoxy-28-norlupa-11,12-oxidotaraxerone(3) through the high-resolution electrospray ionization mass spectrometry(HR-ESI-MS), infrared(IR), ultraviolet(UV), nuclear magnetic resonance(NMR), and single-crystal X-ray diffraction techniques as well as comparison with literature data. Compounds 1-3 were C-28 nortriterpenoids and isolated from mastic for the first time, and compounds 1-2 were new ones. In the model for RAW264.7 cell anti-inflammation induced by lipopolysaccharide(LPS), compound 1 demonstrates an inhibitory effect on nitric oxide(NO) [IC_(50)=(13.38±0.68) μmol·L~(-1)], comparable to the activity of the positive control dexamethasone [IC_(50)=(14.59±1.49) μmol·L~(-1)]. Compounds 2 and 3 exhibit weaker inhibitory effects, with IC_(50) values of(24.17±2.56) and(22.25±2.84) μmol·L~(-1), respectively.

To investigate the clinical value of cardiac magnetic resonance feature tracking (CMR-FT) technology in the assessment of the right ventricle function in patients with immune checkpoint inhibitor (ICIs)-related myocarditis.

Objectives:To investigate the expression and clinical implication of long non-coding RNA(lncRNA)metastasis associated lung adenocarcinoma transcript 1(MALAT1)in peripheral blood of patients with acute coronary syndrome(ACS). Methods:A total of 159 patients diagnosed with ACS who were admitted to the heart center of the First Affiliated Hospital of Xinjiang Medical University from January 2015 to December 2018 were selected as the ACS group,and 148 participants without coronary heart disease confirmed by physical examination and enhanced coronary CT examination in the physical examination center of our hospital during the same period were selected as the control group.Peripheral blood mononuclear cells of patients in two groups were extracted,and the expression level of MALAT1 was detected by real-time fluorescence quantitative polymerase chain reaction(qRT-PCR),and the correlation between the expression level of MALAT1 and ACS and the diagnostic and prognostic value of MALATI expression level for ACS were analyzed. Results:The expression level of MALAT1 in peripheral blood was significantly higher in the ACS group than in the control group(P<0.05).Multivariate logistic regression analysis showed that the expression level of MALAT1 in peripheral blood was independently correlated with ACS(OR=1.193,95%CI:1.037-1.372,P=0.014).ROC curve showed that the expression level of MALAT1 in peripheral blood was of certain diagnostic value for ACS(AUC=0.664,95%CI:0.600-0.720).Kaplan-Meier survival analysis showed that ACS patients with high expression level of MALAT1 in peripheral blood(≥0.816)had higher cumulative incidence of major adverse cardiovascular events than those with low expression level of MALAT1 in peripheral blood(<0.816)during(558±223)days follow-up(39.05%vs.30.61%,P<0.05). Conclusions:The expression level of MALAT1 in peripheral blood of patients with ACS is significantly increased,and the expression level of MALAT1 in peripheral blood has potential clinical value for the diagnosis and prognosis of patients with ACS.

Objectives:To investigate the clinical feasibility of three-dimensional(3D)high-resolution late gadolinium enhancement(LGE)MRI in accessing left atrial myocardial fibrosis in patients with atrial fibrillation(AF). Methods:A total of 34 AF patients referred for hybrid surgical ablation were retrospectively enrolled in this study.3D-LGE-MRI images were acquired by Siemens 3.0 T machine and analyzed by ADAS post-processing software by two experienced radiologists to obtain parameters such as the area and the area percentage of LGE.Regional analysis was performed by one of the two radiologists at ten left atrial segments.The Kappa test was used to assess the agreement for scoring image quality,and the interclass correlation coefficient(ICC)was used to evaluate the interobserver agreement of LGE parameters.The parameters of left atrial morphology,area(and area percentage)of LGE,and location of LGE were compared between patients with persistent AF and paroxysmal AF. Results:Images of all 34 patients were considered to have diagnostic value.The scores of the overall image quality and the clarity of the left atrial wall evaluated by two radiologists were(2.88±0.64)points and(3.26±0.75)points(radiologist 1),(2.97±0.58)points and(3.24±0.70)points(radiologist 2),respectively.The corresponding Kappa values were 0.724 and 0.859.Both the area and the area percentage of LGE showed good consistency among observers,and the ICCs were 0.969 and 0.950,respectively.The difference in the area of LGE and the area percentage of LGE between patients with paroxysmal and persistent atrial fibrillation was similar(both P＞0.05).Compared with patients with paroxysmal AF,patients with persistent AF had a higher Utah stage and more severe myocardial fibrosis in the right inferior pulmonary vein antrum and the left atrial septum(all P＜0.05). Conclusions:3D high-resolution LGE-MRI provides a non-invasive way to visualize and quantify left atrial myocardial fibrosis.The extent of left atrial fibrosis in patients with persistent AF is more severe than that in patients with paroxysmal AF,with a preferential distribution in the right inferior pulmonary vein antrum and the left atrial septum.

Objective To identify the features and effects of mHealth App interventions,so as to provide guidance for future research.Methods A literature search was performed in the PubMed,Embase,Web of Science,CINAHL,Cochrane Library,CNKI,Wanfang,VIP,and CBM databases to identify relevant studies from the establishment of databases to April 2023.The included literature was summarized and analyzed.Results A total of 42 articles were included,involving 18 Chinese articles and 24 English ones.Functional features of the mHealth App include patient history and healthcare assessment,decision support for healthcare professionals,health education development and push;presentation features are personalization,visualization and gamification.The outcome indicators evaluation was mainly on mental health,multiple risk factor control,medication adherence,self-management,quality of life,and clinical outcomes.Conclusion Mobile health Apps have been effective in the application of secondary prevention of coronary heart disease,which can be better improved by combining WeChat groups and wearable devices and presenting them in a personalized and visual way.In the future,it is necessary to improve the function of the App and carry out studies with larger scale and long-term follow-up.

Objective:To evaluate the detection rate and distribution characteristics of lesions in patients with biochemical recurrence (BCR) after radical prostatectomy for prostate cancer by 68Ga-prostate specific membrane antigen (PSMA)-11 PET/CT. Methods:From January 2020 to March 2024, 68Ga-PSMA-11 PET/CT examination results of 172 patients (age (69.4±6.5) years) with BCR after radical prostatectomy in Renji Hospital Affiliated to Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine were retrospectively analyzed. The relationship between prostate specific antigen (PSA) levels and 68Ga-PSMA-11 PET/CT detection rate was explored. The location and quantity of lesions detected by 68Ga-PSMA-11 PET/CT were analyzed in BCR patients with clear location after local treatment, and data were analyzed by Fisher exact test. Results:The detection rate of 68Ga-PSMA-11 PET/CT in patients with BCR was 70.35%(121/172). The positive detection rate increased with the increase of PSA level, with detection rates of 0.2 μg/L≤PSA<0.5 μg/L, 0.5 μg/L≤PSA<1.0 μg/L, 1.0 μg/L≤PSA<1.5 μg/L and PSA≥1.5 μg/L groups of 49.12%(28/57), 67.24%(39/58), 15/16 and 95.12%(39/41), respectively. After local treatment, 64 cases were diagnosed with 95 recurrent and metastatic lesions. Among them, 22(34.38%) had simple prostate bed recurrence, 23(35.94%) had simple lymph node metastasis, 7(10.94%) had simple bone metastasis, and 12(18.75%) had multi regional metastasis. The proportion of bone metastasis (18.75%, 12/64) was significantly lower than that of prostate bed recurrence and lymph node metastasis (both 50.00%(32/64); both P=0.002). Conclusions:68Ga-PSMA-11 PET/CT has a high detection rate in patients with BCR after radical prostatectomy, especially in patients with high PSA levels. The lesions are mainly distributed in the prostate bed and lymph nodes, while bone metastases are relatively rare, which provide a theoretical basis for the selection of more accurate treatment plans for BCR patients in the future.

Objective To evaluate the value of rs61330082 and rs4730153 polymorphisms of Visfatin locus for the diagnosis of type 2 diabetes mellitus(T2DM)in a high-risk population.Methods SNPscanTM high-throughput single nucleotide polymorphism typing technique was used to genotype Visfatin gene loci rs61330082 and rs4730153 in 346 T2DM patients(T2DM group)and 1426 normal controls(NC group).Logistic regression analysis was used to analyze T2DM risk factors.ROC curves were used to analyze the optimal cut-off values of Visfatin gene rs61330082 and rs4730153 for the diagnosis of T2DM.Results The proportion of women,age,obesity,smoking,hypertension,FPG,HbA1c and TG were higher in T2DM group than those in NC group(P<0.01)and HDL-C was lower than in NC group(P<0.01).The frequency of G allele and GG genotype was higher in T2DM group compared with NC group(P<0.05).Logistic regression analysis showed that age,female,obesity,hypertension,TG,and GG genotype at rs4730153 locus were risk factors for T2DM,HDL-C was a protective factor for T2DM.The area under the ROC curve of GG genotype at Visfatin rs4730153 mutation for diagnosis of T2DM was 0.668 and the optimal cut-off point for predicting T2DM was 20.04%,with sensitivity 60.1%and specificity 66.1%,respectively.Conclusion The GG genotype of Visfatin gene rs4730153 locus is associated with the risk of T2DM and can beused as a candidate gene for predicting phenotype of T2DM.

Objectives:To analyze the consistency of evaluating left ventricular hemodynamics (HDF) based on single plane and multi plane cine sequences of magnetic resonance mitral valve orifice.Methods:A prospective study was conducted on 48 healthy adults, and two methods were used to measure the mitral valve diameter and calculate HDF parameters. The first method was to measure the diameter of the mitral valve opening in the left ventricular three chamber cine sequence; The second method is to measure the mitral valve diameter using cine sequences of two chamber, three chamber, and four chamber hearts, and then take the average value. Paired t-tests were used to compare the differences in HDF measured by two methods, and Pearson correlation coefficient ( r), intra group correlation coefficient ( ICC), and Bland-Altman analysis were used to test the consistency and reproducibility of the two methods. Results:The root mean square (RMS) of longitudinal HDF calculated using single plane and multi plane mitral valve diameters were [(17.28±4.41)% vs (17.21±4.61)%] ( P=0.379) for the entire cardiac cycle, [(21.45±5.54)% vs (21.49±5.68)%] ( P=0.646) for systolic phase, and [(12.78±4.10)% vs (12.54±4.24)%] ( P=0.106) for diastolic phase, respectively. The difference in the calculation results of HDF parameters related to ventricular function was not statistically significant (all P>0.05), and there was good consistency ( r=0.924-0.996, ICC=0.924-0.995). The two HDF parameters related to atrial function were sensitive to the measurement method of mitral valve orifice diameter [RMS of longitudinal HDF during active atrial emptying: (3.26±1.51)% vs (3.32±1.55)%, P=0.006; longitudinal HDF pulse during active atrial emptying: (-2.60±1.28)% vs (-2.76±1.30)%, P<0.001]. Conclusions:The ventricular function related HDF parameters obtained from the analysis of mitral valve orifice diameter using single plane and multi plane methods have good consistency, and can be evaluated using relatively simple single plane methods for left ventricular HDF.

Objective:To explore the impact of treatment duration with human urinary kallidinogenase (HUK) on the efficacy and safety of acute ischemic stroke (AIS).Methods:In this subgroup analysis of RESK study, a total of 990 AIS patients recruited from 65 centers in China between August 2015 and June 2020 were included and divided into short medication group (HUK for 8 days, n=185) or long medication group (HUK for 15 days or 21 days, n=805). The proportions of patients with modified Rankin Scale (mRS) score of 0, 0-1, 0-2 at 90 days, National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) score change from baseline to 22 days, the proportions of patients with Barthel index (BI)≥95 at 90 days, and the incidences of adverse events were analyzed. Comparisons between groups were conducted using chi-square test, single factor and multivariate Logistic regression analysis, etc. Results:Multivariate regression analysis showed that the proportions of patients with 90-day mRS score of 0-2 [74.1% (137/185) vs 75.0% (604/805); OR=1.047, 95% CI 0.676-1.620, P=0.838] and 22-day NIHSS score change from baseline (4.60±2.00 vs 4.26±2.80; OR=-0.390, 95% CI -1.125-0.344, P=0.297) showed no statistically significant difference between the short medication and long medication groups; the proportions of patients with 90-day mRS score of 0-1 [48.1% (89/185) vs 59.1% (476/805); OR=0.674, 95%CI 0.463-0.983, P=0.041] and 90-day BI≥95 [43.6% (79/181) vs 55.1% (442/802); OR=0.614, 95%CI 0.420-0.897, P=0.012] were significantly lower in the short medication group than in the long medication group. There was no statistically significant difference in the incidences of adverse events between these 2 groups. Conclusions:In AIS patients, consecutive 8-day dosing of HUK improved immediate (22-day NIHSS score) and long-term outcome (90-day mRS score 0-2) and was safely tolerated. When applicable, extended duration of HUK could improve long-term disability-free rate (90-day mRS score 0-1) and quality of life (90-day BI) without increasing the risk of adverse events.
