With the popularization and development of modern imaging techniques,a phenomenon of rapid progression of coronary atherosclerosis with increasing risk of cardiovascular events has attracted more attention.Rapid progression of coronary atherosclerosis is related to a variety of pathophysiological mechanisms, such as iatrogenic injury, subclinical cycle of plaque rupture and healing, inflammation and so on.Predictive value of plaque morphological features,glycolipid-related metabolites and inflammatory factors for rapid progression of coronary atherosclerosis has been intensively studied.Lipid-lowering therapy is currently the main method to hinder the rapid plaque progression, and new effective therapeutic targets are still under investigations. In this review,we summarize the pathophysiology, predictors, evaluation methods and treatments of rapid progression of coronary atherosclerosis, aiming to provide useful information for the clinical practice.

Acute ST-segment elevation myocardial infarction with multivessel disease is one of the high-risk types of coronary heart disease.Early opening of infarct-related artery and reperfusion of myocardium could significantly reduce the mortality in acute phase. However, the presence of non-culprit lesions in non-infarct-related arteries is still at risk and has an important impact on the long-term prognosis of patients. It remains controversial on how to precisely evaluate the clinical significance and revascularization value of non-culprit lesions. This article aims to review the research status and progress of guidance strategies of non-culprit lesion revascularization in patients with ST-segment elevation myocardial infarction and multivessel disease.

Objective:
To investigate the characteristics of intestinal microflora in patients with neuromyelitis optica spectrum disorders (NMOSDs) and related clinical significance.
Methods:
The data about basic clinical features, fecal specimens as well as cerebrospinal fluid samples of 28 patients with NMOSDs, 15 patients with multiple sclerosis (MS) and 16 healthy controls admitted to the Department of Neurology, the First Affiliated Hospital of Zhengzhou University from July 2017 to January 2019 were collected. The differences about intestinal microbial characteristics and inflammatory index levels in each group were analyzed. The relevance between the diversity of intestinal microbiota and inflammatory index was explored.
Results:
Compared with healthy controls, the intestinal microfloras of patients with NMOSDs and MS respectively were structurally disordered. The levels of the microbial diversity (chao 1 index) were significantly decreased in patients with NMOSDs compared with healthy controls, while their inflammation indexes, including IL-6, IL-10 and transforming growth factor (TGF)-α, in cerebrospinal fluid were significantly increased ((12.9±4.6) pg/ml
