Chinese Journal of School Health 2025;46(5):685-689
Objective:
To explore the relationship between school sports environment and physical activity levels of middle school students, so as to provide theoretical and empirical support for optimizing school sports environment and enhance adolescent physical activity.
Methods:
Using multi-stage random cluster sampling, from September to December 2023, 1 329 junior and senior high school students from Xuancheng City of Anhui Province, Lianyungang City of Jiangsu Province, Wuhan City of Hubei Province, Qiqihar City and Suihua City of Heilongjiang Province, and Shenzhen City of Guangdong Province were selected. The International Physical Activity Questionnaire-Short Form (IPAQ-SF) assessed students physical activity levels, and the questionnaire on the characteristics of school sports environment was developed to evaluate the factors of school sports environment. Multivariate ordered Logistic regression was performed to analyze the correlation between school sports environment factors and physical activity levels, and the analytic hierarchy process determined the weight of key influencing factors.
Results:
The results showed that weekly vigorous physical activity time was [60 (25, 90)] minutes, moderate physical activity time was [60 (30, 90)] minutes, light physical activity time was [105 (40, 200)] minutes, and sedentary behavior time was [ 3 300 (2 100, 4 500)] minutes, only 10.53% of the students met World Health Organization physical activity recommendations, and 89.69% of the students averaged >8 h daily sedentary time. Multivariate ordered Logistic regression showed that adequate sports equipment significantly promoted physical activity across all intensities and reduced sedentary time ( OR = 4.97, 11.54, 4.03, 0.11); diverse sports activities improved vigorous and moderate physical activity while reducing sedentary time ( OR =4.20, 14.06, 0.17); and peer encouragement was associated with increased low-intensity physical activities and decreased sedentary time ( OR =10.40, 0.15)( P <0.05). The analytic hierarchy process weighting analysis identified the top three influential factors related to physical activity among middle school students: sufficient sports equipment, varied physical education activities, frequent peer encouragement, the influence weight accounts for 23.55% , 14.18% and 11.77% of the total, respectively.
Conclusion
Key school sports environmental factors for adolescent physical activity level include ensuring adequate sports equipment and class availability, diversifying activity content, fostering peer support, and cultivating an active sports culture and a comprehensive approach encourage students participation in extracurricular physical activities.

Objective:To explore the chain mediating role of self-management efficacy and self-perceived burden between family function and decision fatigue in gastric cancer patients. Methods:Convenience sampling was used to select 219 gastric cancer inpatients in Xinxiang Central Hospital of Henan Province from June 2023 to December 2024 as study subjects. Family Assessment Device, Chinese version of the Strategies Used by People to Promote Health, Self-Perceived Burden Scale, and Decision Fatigue Scale were used to conduct the survey. The chain mediating effect were tested using Model 6 in the SPSS PROCESS program. Results:Family function, self-management efficacy, self-perceived burden and decision fatigue scores of gastric cancer patients were (73.08±8.47), (90.15±14.33), (31.64±6.55), and (19.23±3.05), respectively. Univariate analysis showed that age, education level, per capita monthly family income, tumor stage and treatment method were the influencing factors of decision fatigue in gastric cancer patients, and the difference was statistically significant ( P<0.05). Correlation analysis showed that family function was negatively correlated with self-management efficacy ( P<0.05) and positively correlated with self-perceived burden and decision fatigue ( P<0.05), and self-management efficacy was negatively correlated with self-perceived burden and decision fatigue ( P<0.05), and self-perceived burden was positively correlated with decision fatigue ( P<0.05), and the differences of the above were statistically significant. Mediating effect analysis showed that family function positively predicted decision fatigue in gastric cancer patients, with a direct effect of 0.117, accounting for 62.57% of the total effect. Self-management efficacy and self-perceived burden realized the mediating effect between family function and decision fatigue through three mediating pathways. Mediating pathway 1 was family function → self-management efficacy → decision fatigue, with an effect value of 0.032, which accounted for 17.11% of the total effect. Mediating pathway 2 was family function→ self-perceived burden → decision fatigue, with an effect value of 0.026, which accounted for 13.90% of the total effect. Mediating path 3 was family function → self-management efficacy → self-perceived burden → decision fatigue, with an effect value of 0.012, accounting for 6.42% of the total effect. The total mediating effect was 0.070, accounting for 37.43% of the total effect. Conclusions:Family function can not only directly influence decision fatigue in gastric cancer patients, but also indirectly influence decision fatigue through the mediating role of self-management efficacy and self-perceived burden. Decision fatigue of gastric cancer patients could be reduced in the future by improving family function, increasing patients' self-management efficacy, and reducing their self-perceived burden.

Objective:To analyze the epidemiological characteristics and trend of hospitalization of the patients with herpes zoster in Beijing from 2017 to 2022.Methods:In this retrospective study, the information of hospitalization of herpes zoster patients were collected from all medical institutions at the first level and above in Xicheng, Changping, and Miyun districts of Beijing. The age and gender specific hospitalization rates and age-standardized hospitalization rates were calculated. Joinpoint regression model was used to explore the trend of the hospitalization rates, and the influencing factors of the hospital stay length and complications were analyzed. Results:The age-standardized hospitalization rate of the patients with herpes zoster was 10.82/100 000-18.43/100 000 in Beijing from 2017 to 2022 [annual percent change (APC) =5.86%, 95% CI: -2.80%-15.98%]. The age-standardized hospitalization rate of the cases with herpes zoster as the main diagnosis showed an upward trend (APC=11.35%, 95% CI: 7.21%-16.23%). The age-standardized hospitalization rate showed an upward trend in women (APC=14.34%, 95% CI: 7.95%-22.37%). The hospitalization rate showed a downward trend in age group 30-39 years (APC=-24.92%, 95% CI: -48.56% - -1.85%) and showed upward trends in age group 70-79 years and 80-109 years (APC=23.18%, 95% CI: 13.53%-35.58%; APC=4.90%, 95% CI: 1.18%-9.19%). Complications occurred in 66.28% (680/1 026) of the patients. The median hospital stay length was 9 (5,15) days, and the patients with high age (≥80 years) and two or more complications had longer hospital stay, which were 12 (6, 23) and 14 (7, 27) days respectively ( P<0.001). Conclusions:The hospitalization rate in women and the elderly aged ≥70 years with herpes zoster as the main diagnosis showed upward trends in Beijing in recent years. The elderly aged ≥80 years usually had longer hospital stay, showing a relatively disease burden level. More attention should be paid to development of intervention strategies, such as vaccine, for this population.

Objective To modify YC-1,an inhibitor of hypoxia-inducible factor-1α(HIF-1α)into nanoparticles and explore its effect on reversing chemoresistance of colorectal cancer cells. Methods Nano-inhibitor mPEG350-YC-1(MYC-1)was prepared by the carboxyl condensation reaction of the active functional group hydroxyl(-OH)in the YC-1 molecule with methoxy polyethylene glycol carboxylic acid, and was verified by 1H nuclear magnetic resonance(1H-NMR).Its morphology was analyzed by transmission electron microscope(TEM),and its particle size distribution was analyzed by dynamic light scattering(DLS).By interacting FITC-labeled MYC-1(FYC-1)with HCT15 cells, the uptake ability of FYC-1 by the cells was observed using laser confocal microscopy. The cytotoxicity of MYC-1 was measured with CCK-8 assay. The sensitization effect of MYC-1 on the chemotherapy drug 5-Fu was detected through toxicity tests of resistant HCT15 cells(resistant HCT15,R-HCT15)and live/dead cell staining. The mechanism of MYC-1 reversing drug resistance was determined with immunofluorescence staining of HIF-1α and western blotting. Finally,a subcutaneous transplanted tumor model of R-HCT15 cells was constructed. The tumor bearing mice were randomly divided into PBS,5-Fu,MYC-1,and MYF groups, with 3 mice in each group. The tumor volume and weight were observed after treatment in each group to evaluate the ability of MYC-1 to reverse 5-Fu resistance in colorectal cancer. Results The nano-inhibitor MYC-1 was successfully prepared.TEM and DLS showed that MYC-1 could self-assemble into nanoparticles with a diameter of approximately 19.96±2.97 nm in aqueous solution.FYC-1 was also successfully prepared. When FYC-1 was interacted with HCT15 cells,FYC-1 could be better taken up by the cells, indicating that the amphiphilic MYC-1 could be better endocytosed into the cells to exert its function. When MYC-1 and 5-Fu acted in combination in colon cancer R-HCT15 cells, the resistance index(RI)was decreased from 7.99 to 1.55,and the relative reversal rate(RRR)of RI was 80.6%.Live(green)/dead(red)cell staining revealed that MYC-1 increased the toxicity of 5-Fu to R-HCT15 cells.Immunofluorescence staining(P<0.01)and Western blotting indicated that MYC-1 effectively inhibited the intracellular expression of HIF-1α.The combined action of MYC-1 and 5-Fu on mice with R-HCT15 subcutaneous transplanted tumors had the best therapeutic effect when compared with PBS(P<0.001),5-Fu(P<0.01),and MYC-1(P<0.01).Immunofluorescence staining of HIF-1α in tumor tissues displayed that the expression of HIF-1α was decreased in the MYC-1 and MYF groups.HE staining showed that there was no obvious damage to the important organs in each treatment group. Conclusion Nano-inhibitor MYC-1 can reverse the drug resistance of colorectal cancer to 5-Fu chemotherapy by reducing the expression of HIF-1α protein in colorectal cancer cells, thereby effectively improving the therapeutic effect of 5-Fu.
