Objective:To explore the application effect of fine skin care in patients with psoriasis, and provide evidence-based theoretical basis for the development of skin care in patients with psoriasis. Methods:A randomized controlled trial was conducted. Patients with psoriasis admitted to the People′s Hospital of Wenshan Zhuang and Miao Autonomous Prefecture, Yunnan Province from December 2022 to March 2024 were selected as the research subjects by the convenience sampling method and divided into the control group and the experimental group by the random number table method. The control group was given routine care. The experimental group was given fine skin care on the basis of control group. Before and after the intervention, the itching symptoms, skin lesions, comfort and quality of life were evaluated using 12-item Pruritus Severity Scale (12-PSS), Psoriasis Area and Severity Index (PASI), General Comfort Questionnaire (GCQ), 36-item Short Form (SF-36) and compared between the two groups. The incidence of complications and recurrence rate in the two groups were counted 3 months after intervention. Results:Finally, 96 patients were included in the study, including 48 patients in the experimental group, 28 males and 20 females, aged (59.31 ± 17.31) years old; 48 cases in the control group, 29 males and 19 females, aged (61.54 ± 18.11) years old. Before the intervention, there were no statistically significant differences in the scores of 12-PSS, PASI, GCQ and SF-36 between the two groups (all P>0.05). After the intervention, the scores of 12-PSS and PASI in the experimental group were (3.65 ± 2.96), (5.08 ± 1.15) points respectively, which were lower than (8.29 ± 2.00), (7.37 ± 1.34) points in the control group, the differences were statistically significant ( t=9.00, 8.99, both P<0.05). The scores of GCQ and SF-36 in the experimental group were (41.42 ± 4.01), (95.08 ± 4.47) points respectively, which were higher than (33.94 ± 5.74) and (84.19 ± 8.52) points in the control group, the differences were statistically significant ( t=7.40, 7.84, both P<0.05). The total incidence of complications and recurrence rate in the experimental group were 4.17% (2/48), 2.08% (1/48) respectively, which were lower than 18.75% (9/48), 14.58% (7/48) in the control group, the differences were statistically significant ( χ2=5.03, 4.91, both P<0.05). Conclusions:Fine skin care can improve the itching symptoms of patients with psoriasis and reduce the severity of skin lesions. It can also improve the comfort and quality of life of patients and reduce the incidence of complications and recurrence rate, and the clinical application effect is good.

Aim To explore the effects of D-limonene on the steatosis of primary mouse hepatocytes and its potential mechanism of action. Methods Oleic acid-induced steatosis in primary mouse hepatocytes was used as a model to observe the effects of D-limonene on cell viability, cellular lipid content, and intracellular expression of proteins such as AMP-activated protein kinase(AMPK),acetyl-coenzyme A carboxylase 1(ACC1),and carnitine palmitoyl transferase 1A(CPT1A).Results It was found that a low dose of D-limonene could effectively enhance the viability of primary mouse hepatocytes. When oleic acid at a con-centration of 300 μmol·L-1 successfully induced steatosis in primary mouse hepatocytes,D-limonene re-duced the lipid content of the cells, and D-limonene up-regulated the cellular AMPK expression level,down-regulated the cellular ACC1 and fatty acid synthetase(FAS)expression levels, which in turn promoted the overexpression of CPT1A.Conclusions D-limonene has the effect of reducing lipid deposition in primary mouse hepatocytes, and the mechanisms may be related to the activation of AMPK,the inhibitions of ACC1 and FAS,and the up-regulation of CPT1A protein expres-sion level.

Objective To predict and preliminarily validate potential shared key genes involved in cardiac complications caused by influenza A virus(IAV)and severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2(SARS-CoV-2)infections.Methods Differentially expressed genes(DEGs)associated with cardiac complications were obtained from the Gene Expression Omnibus(GEO)database.A hierarchical intersection strategy was applied.First, cardiac complication related DEGs were overlapped with 2 independent virus related gene sets:3 454 human genes linked to IAV infection in GeneCards and 333 human protein-coding genes interacting with SARS-CoV-2 in the Human Protein Atlas. The 2 overlap results were then intersected to yield 22 hub genes.Lasso regression, random forest(RF)and support vector machine algorithms(SVM)were employed to refine this list.Predicted genes were validated in vitro in H1N1-infected human cardiomyocyte AC16 cells and in vivo in IFITM3 knockout mice challenged with H1N1,assessing transcriptional changes. Results A total of 22 hub genes were identified through integrative bioinformatics analysis.Application of the 3 machine learning algorithms resulted in 5 common key genes:ACE2,TBK1,NUP210,PUSL1,and MEPCE.In vitro infection of AC16 cells with H1N1 revealed dynamic transcriptional changes in all 5 genes post-infection(P<0.05).In vivo experiments using H1N1-infected IFITM3 knockout mice confirmed the dynamic mRNA expression changes of these 5 genes, consistent with the in vitro results(P<0.05).Conclusion By combining multilayered bioinformatics analysis with 3 machine learning approaches,5 common key genes are identified:ACE2,TBK1,NUP210,PUSL1 and MEPCE.Validation in H1N1 infection models confirms their relevance to IAV-induced cardiac complications.

Objective To investigate the therapeutic effect of transcutaneous auricular vagus nerve stimulation(taVNS)on overweight/obesity patients, and to explore its central mechanism. Methods Twenty-six overweight/obesity patients were randomly divided into two groups,12 cases in the taVNS test group(shortened as the taVNS group)and 14 cases in the lifestyle intervention control group(shortened as the control group). The patients in the control group were treated with online lifestyle intervention of calorie-restricted diet(CRD),and the patients in the taVNS group were treated with taVNS on the basis of the intervention for the control group. The taVNS was performed on unilateral acupoints of spleen and endocrine, twice(in the morning and at evening)per day,for five days a week. The treatment for the two groups covered four weeks. The obesity indicators such as body weight, body mass index(BMI)and waist circumference of the patients in the two groups were observed before and after treatment. Moreover, the resting-state cerebral functional magnetic resonance imaging(fMRI)data of the patients were collected after treatment, and then the regulatory effect of taVNS on the regional homogeneity(ReHo)of local cerebral area of the patients was observed.Results(1)During the trial, one case in each group dropped off,and a total of 24 patients(including 13 cases in the control group and 11 cases in the taVNS group)were finally included in the statistical analysis of the observation indicators.(2)After treatment, the body weight,BMI and waist circumference of patients in the taVNS group were decreased compared with those before treatment(P<0.05),while the obesity indicators in the control group only showed a downward trend compared with those before treatment, the differences being not statistically significant(P>0.05).The improvement of the obesity indicators of body weight,BMI,and waist circumference in the taVNS group was significantly superior to that in the control group, and there were statistically significant differences in the post-treatment indicators and in the pre-and post-treatment difference values of the indicators between the two groups(P<0.05 or P<0.01).(3)After treatment, the taVNS group had greater ReHo values in the left prefrontal lobe and medial frontal gyrus than the control group, and the control group had greater ReHo value in the right parietal lobe than the taVNS group, which indicated that compared with the control group, the ReHo of the left prefrontal lobe and medial frontal gyrus in the taVNS group was increased and the ReHo of the right parietal lobe was decreased(Pvoxel<0.001,Pcluster<0.05,corrected by FWE level). Conclusion As a non-invasive treatment method,taVNS exerts certain efficacy for the treatment of overweight/obesity patients. The central response mechanism for treatment of obesity is probably related with the modulation of taVNS on the functional areas of left prefrontal lobe, medial frontal gyrus, and right parietal lobe of the patients.
