OBJECTIVE: To observe the clinical efficacy of deep needling at Xiaguan (ST7) combined with electroacupuncture and warm acupuncture for adenoid hypertrophy (AH) in children. METHODS: Seventy-two children with AH were randomly divided into an observation group (36 cases, 5 cases dropped out, 1 case was eliminated) and a control group (36 cases, 4 cases dropped out, 2 cases were eliminated). The observation group received deep needling at Xiaguan (ST7) combined with electroacupuncture and warm acupuncture. The needle depth of Xiaguan (ST7) was 20-30 mm. Electroacupuncture was applied at Xiaguan (ST7), Yingxiang (LI20), Yintang (GV24⁺), Baihui (GV20), with continuous wave, in frequency of 2 Hz. Warm acupuncture was applied at Zusanli (ST36). The treatment was performed 30 min each time, once a week for 12 weeks. The control group was treated with mometasone furoate aqueous nasal spray, one spray per nostril each time, once a day for 12 weeks. The symptom score, adenoid-to-nasopharynx ratio (A/N), and 18-item health-related quality-of-life survey for children with obstructive sleep apnea (OSA-18) score were observed before and after treatment in the two groups, and the clinical efficacy was evaluated after treatment. RESULTS: After treatment, the total scores of symptom, A/N, and OSA-18 scores were decreased compared with those before treatment in both groups (P<0.01), the above indexes in the observation group were lower than those in the control group (P<0.01, P<0.05). The total effective rate in the observation group was 93.3% (28/30), which was higher than 83.3% (25/30) in the control group (P<0.05). CONCLUSION Deep needling at Xiaguan (ST7) combined with electroacupuncture and warm acupuncture could effectively improve symptoms, reduce adenoid volume, and improve the quality of life in children with AH.

Objective? To search and summarize the best evidence of nursing management of procedural pain in pediatric patients so as to provide guidance for clinical nursing staff in the standardized prevention and management of procedural pain. Methods? The Cochrane Database of Systematic Reviews, JBI Database of Systematic Reviews, National Guideline Clearinghouse(NGC), the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence(NICE) and Scottish Intercollegiate Guideline Network(SIGN) were searched on computer to collect literature including clinical practice guidelines, evidence summary and systemic reviews about the management of procedural pain among children 3 years old above. Two researchers independently assessed the quality and extracted data and conducted evidence extraction from the articles that met the standard of quality. Results? Totally eleven articles were enrolled including three best practice guidelines, three systematic reviews and five evidence summaries. Conclusions? Cognitive behavioral intervention, topical application of epidermal anesthetics or local cold compress, and combined operation of distraction can effectively reduce the pain and anxiety caused by procedures. The knowledge and skills of procedural pain management should be included in the education and training courses of medical institutions. Evidence should be selected pertinently to participate in the management of procedural pain in the mode of multidisciplinary cooperation.

Objective:To evaluate the standardized usage of oral antidiabetic agents in inpatients to provide reference for the pre -scription standardization .Methods:A retrospective study was used to evaluate the prescriptions of oral antidiabetic agents in inpatients during January and March in 2017 , and statistical analysis was conducted on drug usage and standardization evaluation .Results:There were 886 medication plans including 4,397 prescriptions, which involved in 13 kinds of antidiabetic agents .Metformin and acarbose a-gents were used most frequently .The non-standardization rate was 70.54％with 66.03％unlabeled accurate time for oral administra-tion and 4.51％ labeled wrong time for oral administration .Twelve antidiabetic agents existed non-standardized applications ( >50％) .Conclusion:The main problem in the non-standardized usage of antidiabetic agents is leaving the special time for oral adminis -tration of antidiabetic agents out of account , which not only affect the best efficacy , but also reduce patients ' compliance .It' s neces-sary to standardize the prescriptions of antidiabetic agents to improve the standardization of medication therapy .

The interplay between mechanoresponses and a broad range of fundamental biological processes, such as cell cycle progression, growth and differentiation, has been extensively investigated. However, metabolic regulation in mechanobiology remains largely unexplored. Here, we identified glucose transporter 1 (GLUT1)-the primary glucose transporter in various cells-as a novel mechanosensitive gene in orthodontic tooth movement (OTM). Using an in vivo rat OTM model, we demonstrated the specific induction of Glut1 proteins on the compressive side of a physically strained periodontal ligament. This transcriptional activation could be recapitulated in in vitro cultured human periodontal ligament cells (PDLCs), showing a time- and dose-dependent mechanoresponse. Importantly, application of GLUT1 specific inhibitor WZB117 greatly suppressed the efficiency of orthodontic tooth movement in a mouse OTM model, and this reduction was associated with a decline in osteoclastic activities. A mechanistic study suggested that GLUT1 inhibition affected the receptor activator for nuclear factor-κ B Ligand (RANKL)/osteoprotegerin (OPG) system by impairing compressive force-mediated RANKL upregulation. Consistently, pretreatment of PDLCs with WZB117 severely impeded the osteoclastic differentiation of co-cultured RAW264.7 cells. Further biochemical analysis indicated mutual regulation between GLUT1 and the MEK/ERK cascade to relay potential communication between glucose uptake and mechanical stress response. Together, these cross-species experiments revealed the transcriptional activation of GLUT1 as a novel and conserved linkage between metabolism and bone remodelling.

Objective To explore risk factors for coronary artery aneurysms (CAA) in children with Kawasaki disease (KD),and reduce the rate of serious sequelae of cardiovascular diseases.Methods All the patients were diagnosed as KD in Children’s Hospital Affiliated to Medical College of Zhejiang University from January 2009 to January 2014.A total of 679 cases was included,and 42 with concurrent CAA,181 with concurrent coronary artery expansion (CAD),and 456 without coronary artery damage cases (non-coronary artery lesion,NCAL).Coronary artery damage was related to factors such as gender,age,fever,white blood cell count (WBC),hemoglobin (Hb),platelet count (PLT),erythrocyte sedimentation rate (ESR),C-reactive protein (CRP),alanine aminotransferase,serum potassium,plasma amino terminal brain natriuretic peptide precursor (NT-proBNP),and acrylic ball resistance.SPSS 18.0 software package was used for risk factor analysis.Qualitative data using chi-square test,was used to analyze the high risk factors of CAA group,and logistic multivariate regression analysis was also used.Results Chi-square test showed that male,with febrile days ＞ 14 d,NT-proBNP ≥ 1 000 ng/L,immunoglobulin resistance was more likely to have KD concurrent CAA (P ＜ 0.05).Multiple Logistic regression analysis showed that male [OR =4.092,95％ CI (1.514,11.060),P =0.004],febrile days ＞14 d [OR =12.436,95％ CI (4.599,33.631),P =0.000],NT-proBNP≥ 1 000 ng/L [OR =3.305,95％ CI (1.401,7.794),P =0.005],and immunoglobulin resistance [OR =3.842,95 ％ CI (1.562,9.453),P =0.000] were independent risk factors for KD concurrent CAA.Conclusions Male children,febrile days ＞ 14 d,NT-proBNP≥ 1 000 ng/L,and immunoglobulin resistance were independent risk factors of CAA.

Objective To investigate the correlation between the positive rate of high risk human papillomavirus (HPV) mRNA E6/E7 and cervical cancer,and provide evidence for the prevention and treatment of cervical cancer.Methods A total of 100 cervical cancer cases and 100 healthy controls were selected in our hospital from January 2015 to December 2015.The fluorescence quantitative PCR and pathological examination on HPV E6/E7 mRNA were carried out.The correlation between HPV E6/E7 mRNA and cervical squamous epithelial lesions were analyzed.Results In case group,the positive rate ofHPV E6/E7 mRNA was 76.0％ (76/100).In control group,the positive rate was 13.0％ (13/100).The positive rate in case group was significantly higher than that in control group,and the difference was statistically significant (x2=24.522,P＜0.001).The positive predictive value and negative predictive value of the two groups were compared,and the difference was not significant (P＞0.05).The positive rate of HPV E6/E7 mRNA was significantly higher than high-grade squamous intraepithelial lesion (SIL) rate (26.1％),low-grade SIL rate (17.6％) and atypical squamous cell hyperplasia rate (6.7％),the difference was statistically significant (x2=7.615,P=0.001;x2=9.114,P=0.001;x2=18.241,P＜0.001).Conclusions The detection rate ofHPV E6/E7 mRNA in cervical cancer patients was high.And with the increased severity of cervical squamous epithelial lesions,the positive rate of HPV E6/E7 mRNA increased.

OBJECTIVETo evaluate the ability of several hotspot candidate sequence of DNA barcodes for identifying medicinal plant species in Verbenaceae.

METHODUsing universal primers, three chloroplast sequences, psbA-trnH, rbcL, matK, two nuclear ribosomal DNA ITS2 and ITS were amplified and sequenced. PCR amplification and sequencing efficiency, intra- and inter-specific variation, barcoding gap and identification efficiency (with BLAST 1 and Nearest Distance methods) were used to evaluate these loci.

RESULTThe rate of successful amplification using matK was too low to further analyze, and the rate of successful amplification and sequencing using psbA-trnH, ITS, and ITS2 and rbcL sequence was 83.6%, 83.6%, 96.4%, 98.2%, respectively. The rate of successful identification using psbA-trnH, ITS, and ITS2 was 100% at the species level except that rbcL was 77.8%, 75.9% for 55 samples belonging to 32 species, but ITS2 did better in intra- and inter-specific variation, barcoding gap than the other loci. The rate of successful identification of ITS2 was 89.5%, 87.6% even when joining the date of 165 samples from GenBank.

CONCLUSIONIt proposes that the combination of ITS2 and psbA-trnH senquence is promising for the identification of the species in Verbenaceae.

OBJECTIVETo investigate the influence of Shi herb (Santalum album, SA) to the tissue distribution of danshensu (DSS) which is the main hydrosoluble component of Jun herb (Salvia miltiorrhiza, SM) in rabbits by HPLC.

METHODRabbits were oral administrated decoction of SM and SM-SA, respectively. Perchloric acid (10%) was used to precipitate the tissue samples of rabbits heart, brain, liver, kidney, acetic ether was used to extracte supernatant, and the internal standard was p-hydroxybenzoic acid. The content of DSS of SM in tissues was detected.

RESULTThe content of DSS reached the highest point close to 50 min in the mentioned tissues. Before and after co-administration, the sequences of average concentration of DSS in tissues were C(kidney) > C(heart) > C(brain) > C(liver) and C(kidney) > C(liver) > C(brain) > C(heart) respectively. Compared with SM administrated singly, the content of DSS in every tissues of co-administration was higher.

CONCLUSIONIn Danshenyin Formulae, SA can increase concentration of DSS in target tissues significantly, and therefore therapeutic effect of SM for cardiovascular disease is raised.
