Objective To investigate the effect of Yiqi Wenfei Tongqiao decoction on the inflammatory response in rats with allergic rhi-nitis(AR)of lung qi deficiency and cold type based on the Janus kinase 1(JAK1)/signal transducer and activator of transcription 3(STAT3)signaling pathway.Methods A AR model of lung qi deficiency and cold type was established in rats using ovalbumin(OVA)combined with smoking and cold stimulation.After modeling,the rats were randomly divided into model,loratadine,low-dose Chinese medicine,high-dose Chinese medicine,and high-dose Chinese medicine+RO8191(JAK1/STAT3 signaling pathway activator)groups,with 12 rats per group.Twelve healthy rats were used as controls.After 14 days of drug intervention,the changes in the symptoms of lung qi deficiency and cold syndrome and AR were observed in the rats.Enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay was used to detect the serum levels of tumor necrosis factor α(TNF-α),interleukin(IL)-4,interferon-γ(IFN--γ),and ovalbumin-specific immunoglobulin E(OVA-sIgE).The number of inflammatory cells in the nasal lavage fluid was determined and the eosinophil(EOS)percentage was calculated.Pathological changes in the nasal mucosal tissue were observed after hematoxylin and eosin(HE)staining.Western blotting was used to detect the expression of JAK1/STAT3 signaling pathway-related proteins in nasal mucosal tissue.Results Compared with those in the model group,the AR symptom score,serum IL-4,TNF-α,and OVA-sIgE levels,EOS percentage in nasal lavage fluid,and levels of p-JAK1/JAK1 and p-STAT3/STAT3 in the nasal mucosal tissue of rats in the loratadine,low-dose Chinese medicine,and high-dose Chinese medicine groups were lower,whereas the serum IFN-γ level was higher(P＜0.05).RO8191 weakened the inhibitory effect of Yiqi Wenfei Tongqiao decoction on the inflammatory response in rats with AR of lung qi deficiency and cold type.Conclusion Overall,Yiqi Wenfei Tongqiao decoction can alleviate the inflammatory response in rats with AR of lung qi deficiency and cold type by inhibiting JAK1/STAT3 signaling pathway acti-vation and regulating the balance of Th1/Th2 cytokines.

Objective To explore the early brain microstructural changes in patients with alcohol use disorder(AUD)and the correlations with cognitive function.Methods Totally 81 AUD patients(AUD group)and 75 healthy volunteers(control group)were retrospectively enrolled.Gray matter volume(GMV)and cortical thickness of brain regions were calculated with voxel-based morphometry and surface-based morphometry,and the correlations of the above indexes of brain regions being significantly different between groups and clinical cognitive function scale scores were analyzed.Results In AUD group,GMV of bilateral hippocampus,insula,inferior parietal angular gyrus,straight gyrus,central posterior gyrus and cerebellar angle 1 area,of left medial superior frontal gyrus,precuneus,anterior cingulated cortex,middle temporal gyrus and middle occipital gyrus,as well as of right lingual gyrus reduced significantly compared with those in control group.The cortical thickness of bilateral superior frontal gyrus,middle frontal gyrus,inferior frontal gyrus,supramarginal gyrus,superior parietal lobule,inferior parietal lobule,central posterior gyrus,central anterior gyrus,temporal superior gyrus and middle temporal gyrus reduced in AUD group.In AUD group,GMV of left medial superior frontal gyrus was positively correlated with Pittsburgh sleep quality index score(r=0.301,P=0.006),while of the left and right straight gyrus were positively correlated with Hopkins verbal learning test-revised score(r=0.328,0.326;both P=0.003)but negatively correlated with trail making test-B score(r=-0.295,-0.312;P=0.008,0.005),while the cortical thickness of the left central anterior gyrus and the lower part of the right middle frontal gyrus were positively correlated with Beck anxiety inventory score(r=0.323,0.289;P=0.003,0.009).Conclusion Prefrontal cortex atrophy could be observed in early stage AUD patients,which was correlated with cognitive function impaired.

Objective: To investigate the epidemiological characteristics of hepatitis C in Beilin District, Xi'an City, Shaanxi Province from 2014 to 2023, so as to provide the evidence for optimizing hepatitis C prevention and control strategies. Methods: Data on hepatitis C cases in Beilin District from 2014 to 2023 were collected from the Infection Disease Surveillance System of the China Information System for Disease Control and Prevention. The crude incidence of hepatitis C was calculated, and the standardized incidence was computed using the age composition of the standard population from the Seventh National Population Census in 2020. Descriptive epidemiological methods were employed to analyze the demographic, temporal, and regional distribution characteristics of hepatitis C cases. The average annual percent change (AAPC) was used to analyze the trend in incidence of hepatitis C in Beilin District from 2014 to 2023. Results: From 2014 to 2023, a total of 2 423 hepatitis C cases were reported in Beilin District, with a crude incidence of 35.91/105 and a standardized incidence of 30.63/105. The crude and standardized incidence of hepatitis C in males were higher than in females (41.93/100 000 vs. 28.68/100 000, 36.81/100 000 vs. 22.69/100 000, both P<0.05). From 2014 to 2023, the standardized incidence among total population, males and females showed decreasing trends, with AAPC values of -7.411%, -6.147%, and -9.267%, respectively (all P<0.05). The age group of 50-<60 years had the highest number of reported hepatitis C cases, with 769 cases, accounting for 31.74%. In contrast, the age group of ≥80 years had the highest crude incidence, at 88.84/105. Occupations were predominantly characterized by housework and unemployment, with 892 cases, accounting for 36.81%. Regarding monthly distribution, the higher numbers of cases were reported in May and March, with 242 and 238 cases, respectively. Nanyuanmen Subdistrict, Zhangjiacun Subdistrict, and Wenyi Road Subdistrict ranked the top three in terms of standardized incidence of hepatitis C, with 44.15/100 000, 42.52/100 000, and 39.80/100 000, respectively. Conclusions From 2014 to 2023, the incidence of hepatitis C in Beilin District showed an overall decreasing trend. Males, middle-aged and elderly individuals, and housework or unemployed were key populations for targeted hepatitis C prevention and control. It is recommended to strengthen control measures in high-incidence areas.

Objective:To analyze the clinical characteristics of adverse reactions caused by dinutuximab β for the treatment of neuro-blastoma(NB)in China and to provide safety evidence for the rational use of dinutuximab β in clinical practice.Methods:Clinical data were retrospectively collected from 16 pediatric patients with NB who had been treated with dinutuximab β at Shanghai Children's Medical Center Affiliated to Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine from January 2022 to November 2023,and the adverse reactions caused by dinutuximab β were summarized and analyzed.Results:The male-to-female ratio was 5:3 among the 16 children with NB.The retroperitoneum was the main initial site of involvement,accounting for 75%.Thirteen(81.25%)patients had high-risk NB.The adverse reactions caused by dinutuximab β mainly included decreased hemoglobin,fever,vomiting,and diarrhea.The inci-dence of adverse reactions was highest in the first course of treatment,and the median time of adverse reactions was 2-5 days.Conclu-sion:Targeted monitoring should be carried out at an early stage during dinutuximab β administration.Adverse reactions should be de-tected and managed early to ensure the safety of medication for children.

This study aimed to delineate the characteristics and trends of scholarly publications within the domain of 131I-therapy for differentiated thyroid cancer in children and adolescents(caDTC)through a bibliometric approach.A retrieval of publications concerning 131I-therapy for caDTC from the Web of Science Core Collection(WoSCC)database was conducted,spanning from January 1993 to December 2023.Visualization analysis was performed utilizing VOSviewer 1.6.20 and CiteSpace 6.2.R6 software.A total of 150 English publications,including articles and reviews,were analyzed in this study,with the earliest work traced back to 1994.A fluctuating yet overall ascending trend in annual publication volume was observed over the three decades,with a slight recent downturn post 2020.The United States,Italy and China emerged as the most prolific contributors.International network mapping revealed robust collaboration predominantly between European and American entities.Journals featuring predominantly in this field were primarily categorized under endocrinology,metabolism or pediatrics,with Thyroid and Journal of Clinical Endocrinology&Metabolism recognized as highly influential.The"Management Guidelines for Children with Thyroid Nodules and Differentiated Thyroid Cancer",published in 2015,was the most frequently cited document.A total of 869 scholars published literature in this field,with high-producing scholars mainly coming from Europe and the United States.Huang Rui from China was ranked among the top ten.References and keywords clustering illuminated focal points of research such as"metastasis","fusion oncogene",and"late effects".The timelines viewer of keywords underscored enduring interest in"131I",complimented by significant terms like"management guidelines","2nd primary malignancy",and"term follow up",encompassing standardization,efficacy,and surveillance of adverse events in 131I-therapy for caDTC.The 131I-therapy research for caDTC is largely steered by European and American efforts.China's substantial patient demographic is positioned to enhance both domestic and international collaborative research.The current paucity of clinical standardization in 131I-therapy for caDTC needs to be addressed.Future endeavors should be scrutinizing the short and long-term efficacy of 131I-therapy of caDTC,probing into the relationship between molecular profiles such as RET fusion and the therapeutic effectiveness of 131I-therapy,and pinpointiing efficacious biomarkers for 131I-resistance,which are pivotal for informed decision-making in the therapeutic application of 131I-therapy for caDTC.
