Objective To investigate the effects of long-term exposure to three new types of light emitting diode (LED) sources on the behavior, learning, and memory of rats. Methods A total of 160 specific pathogen-free SD rats were divided into eight groups as followed, trichromatic fluorescent lamps color temperature control group, violet-chip full-spectrum white LED group, blue-chip white LED group, and blue-chip full-spectrum white LED group based on the light sources types, with color temperature of 4 000 K and 6 500 K groups in each group using the 4×2 factorial design. There were 20 rats in each group, with half of the rats were males and half females. Rats were exposed to artificial lighting, and the illumination was set at 750 lx. The rats in each group were exposed to different lighting environments for 12 hours per day for 24 weeks. The open-field and step-down tests were conducted in rats after 24 weeks exposure, followed by sacrifice of rats and measurement of organ coefficients. Differences in body weight, organ coefficients, and neurobehavioral indexes of rats in different groups were compared. Results The spleen coefficient of female rats decreased in blue-chip white LED of 6 500 K color temperature group, and the liver coefficient of male rats decreased in the violet-chip full-spectrum white LED of 4 000 K color temperature, blue-chip full-spectrum white LED of 4 000 K color temperature, and blue-chip full-spectrum white LED of 6 500 K color temperature groups, compared with the same-sex rats in trichromatic fluorescent lamps with same-color temperature control group (all P<0.05). The result of different types of light sources compared in the open-field test showed that the index of total distance and movement speed of female rats in the blue-chip full-spectrum white LED group were lower than those in the other three groups, and the time cost to the central area was longer than that in the blue-chip white LED group and the violet-chip full-spectrum white LED group (all P<0.05). The total distance and movement speed of male rats in the blue-chip full-spectrum white LED group were longer or higher than those in the violet-chip full-spectrum white LED group (all P<0.05). Based on the comparison of color temperature, the time and total distance of male rats in 6 500 K color temperature group were lower than that in the 4 000 K color temperature group (both P<0.05). In the step-down test, both male and female rats in the blue-chip full-spectrum white LED group made more errors compared with other three groups with the same gender (all P<0.05). Conclusion Based on the experimental conditions of this study, the blue-chip full-spectrum white light LED affects behavior, learning and memory of the rats, and trichromatic fluorescent lamp has the lowest effect on neurobehavior. The color temperature also affects behavior of the rats, and high color temperature has higher risk.

Objective:To analyze the genetic evolution characteristics of hemagglutinin (HA) and neuraminidase (NA) of influenza B virus in Tongling during 2019-2022 surveillance years.Methods:Twenty-two strains of Victoria influenza B virus isolated from our laboratory during 2019-2022 were selected for whole genome sequencing. The sequence comparison and phylogenetic analysis were conducted by using bioinformatic analysis software. Results:During 2019-2022, seasonal influenza in Tongling City was predominantly caused by influenza B Victoria lineage viruses, which fell within the V1A.3 branch. Among these, 14 strains isolated in the 2021-2022 season were further classified into the V1A.3a.2 sub-branch. Compared with vaccine strains, multiple amino acid mutation sites were detected in both HA and NA proteins of the 22 influenza B Victoria lineage viruses. Notably, all four major antigenic sites (120-loop, 150-loop, 160-helix, and 190-helix regions) in the HA protein exhibited variations. Although no mutations were detected at resistance sites on the NA protein, a change occurred in the glycosylation site at position 197 NETQ in the HA protein. Conclusions:The main amino acid sites of the HA protein of the influenza B Victoria lineage viruses in Tongling City from 2019 to 2022 have undergone significant variation, which may lead to antigenic drift. Therefore, it is essential to strengthen the monitoring of influenza virus mutations.
4. Progress of Research on Factors Related to Therapeutic Effect of Perianal Fistulizing Crohn’s Disease
Chinese Journal of Gastroenterology 2022;27(1):47-51
Perianal fistulizing Crohn' s disease (pfCD) is the commonly seen perianal disease in Crohn's disease (CD), and its main treatment is the combined use of medical and surgical therapy on basis of radiological assessment. However, low response rate and high recurrence rate are found in clinical practice. It is of great importance to predict the therapeutic efficacy accurately according to the individual characteristics of patients for improving the prognosis of pfCD. This article reviewed the progress of research on factors related to the therapeutic efficacy of pfCD for helping to develop more specifically targeted treatment strategies.

Objective:To evaluate the efficacy of bupivacaine pamoate for sciatic nerve block in rats.Methods:Forty-eight SPF healthy male Sprague-Dawley rats, weighing 300-400 g, were divided into 6 groups using a random number table method: bupivacaine pamoate vehicle group (group VE), bupivacaine HCl group (group BH), liposomal bupivacaine group (group BL), low-dose bupivacaine pamoate group (group HL), moderate-dose bupivacaine pamoate group (group HM) and high-dose bupivacaine pamoate group (group HH), with 8 animals in each group. In VE, BH, BL, HL, HM and HH groups, bupivacaine pamoate vehicle 0.4 ml, bupivacaine HCl solution 0.4 ml, liposomal bupivacaine suspension 0.4 ml, and 1, 3 and 10 mg/ml bupivacaine pamoate suspension 0.4 ml were injected around the left sciatic nerve, respectively. The thermal paw withdrawal latency were measured before administration (T 0) and at 0.5, 1.5, 3, 5, 8, 12, 16, 24 and 48 h after injection (T 1-9). The percentage of maximum possible effect (MPE) of thermal paw withdrawal latency was calculated, and motor function score was simultaneously performed to evaluate the efficacy of sensory and motor block.Five and three rats in each group were sacrificed at 2 and 7 days after administration (T 9, 10), respectively, and the sciatic nerve at the injection site and the surrounding muscle tissues were harvested for microscopic examination (with a light microscope) after Luxol fast blue and HE staining.Nerve damage and inflammatory responses were assessed and scored to evaluate neurotoxicity. Results:Compared with group VE, the MPE was significantly increased at T 1-4 in group HL, at T 1-8 in group HM and at T 1-8 in group HH, the motor function scores were decreased at T 1-4 in group HL, at T 1-5 in group HM and at T 1-7 in group HH ( P<0.05), and no significant change was found in inflammatory response scores for the sciatic nerve and surrounding muscles at each time point in HL, HM and HH groups ( P>0.05). Compared with group BH, the MPE was significantly increased at T 3-8, motor function scores were decreased at T 3-5, and inflammatory response scores for the muscles around the sciatic nerve were decreased at T 9 in group HM ( P<0.05). Compared with group BL, the MPE was significantly increased at T 3-7, motor function scores were decreased at T 4, 5, and inflammatory response scores for the sciatic nerve and surrounding muscles were decreased at T 9 in group HM ( P<0.05). The nerve damage score was 0 in the six groups. Conclusion:Bupivacaine pamoate can block the sciatic nerve of rats, the duration of block is prolonged with the increase in the concentration, and the duration of motor block is not longer than that of sensory block; compared with the same concentration and equal volume of bupivacaine HCl and liposomal bupivacaine, bupivacaine pamoate produces longer duration of sciatic nerve block and less neurotoxicity.

Obstetrics & Gynecology Science 2020;63(4):448-454
Objectives:
The current study aimed to investigate whether pregnancy outcomes are affected by maternal rhesus (Rh) status by comparing the primigravida pregnancy outcomes of Rh-negative women with those of Rh-positive women.
Methods:
The study data were collected from the Korea National Health Insurance Claims Database and the National Health Screening Program for Infants and Children. In total, 1,664,882 primigravida women who gave birth between January 1, 2007 and December 31, 2014, were enrolled in this study. As the risk and severity of sensitization response increases with each subsequent pregnancy, only primigravida women were enrolled. The patients were divided into 2 groups according to Rh status, and the pregnancy outcomes were compared.
Results:
In total, 1,661,320 women in the Rh-positive group and 3,290 in the Rh-negative group were assessed. With regard to adverse pregnancy outcomes, there was no statistically significant difference between the 2 groups in terms of the prevalence of preeclampsia, postpartum hemorrhage, abruptio placenta, placenta previa, and uterine artery embolization. A univariate analysis revealed that none of the adverse pregnancy outcomes were significantly correlated to Rh status (preeclampsia: odds ratio [OR], 1.00, 95% confidence interval [CI], 0.81–1.23; postpartum hemorrhage: OR, 1.10, 95% CI, 0.98–1.24; abruptio placenta: OR, 0.80, 95% CI, 0.46–1.37; and placenta previa: OR, 1.08, 95% CI, 0.78–1.42). The adjusted ORs of postpartum hemorrhage and preterm birth did not significantly differ.
Conclusion
Maternal Rh status is not associated with adverse outcomes in primigravida women.

Objective:
The aim of this survey was to investigate the recommendations and clinical practice patterns of the Korean Society of Maternal and Fetal Medicine (KSMFM) members, regarding management of isolated oligohydramnios (IO).
Methods:
From December 2018 to February 2019, questionnaires were e-mailed to the KSMFM members at 257 institutes that are listed by the Korean Statistical Information Services (KOSIS) as suitable labor premises. Responses to the seven questions on the management of IO, from diagnosis to treatment, were evaluated.
Results:
A total of 72 KSMFM members responded to this survey. Nearly all participants (90.1%) used the amniotic fluid index (AFI) as the primary method for estimating amniotic fluid volume. The majority of the participants (73.6%) believed that IO was a risk factor for adverse pregnancy outcomes, including abnormal fetal heart rate (73.6%), need for cesarean delivery (58.3%), intrauterine fetal demise (52.8%), and meconium aspiration syndrome (50%). Almost 70% of the participants believed that induction of labor might decrease perinatal morbidities, and that late-preterm to early-term period (36–38 gestational weeks) was a suitable timeframe for delivery, if the fetus was sufficiently grown and antenatal testing revealed reassuring results. Less than half of the participants (47.2%) believed that maternal oral or intravenous hydration was a useful intervention for IO management.
Conclusions
KSMFM members preferred labor induction at late-preterm to early-term, to decrease perinatal morbidity in cases of IO, although it was still uncertain whether labor induction improved the outcomes. Further prospective studies are needed regarding IO management.

Objective:To investigate the levels of gross radioactivity in drinking water and of 90Sr in food around Sanmen nuclear power plant (NPP) before and after operation. Methods:From 2012 to 2019, 7 drinking water monitoring sites were selected around the Sanmen NPP to collect source water, factory water and peripheral water, respectively, in order to measure and analyze the total radioactivity level in drinking water. Based on the dietary habits of local residents, 4 kinds of food such as grains, vegetables, freshwater fish and marine fish grown locally were sampled to measure and analyze the activity concentration of 90Sr. Results:Before the operation of Sanmen NPP, the total α radioactivity and total β radioactivity in drinking water around the NPP were 0.001-0.063 Bq/L and 0.019-0.210 Bq/L, respectively. After operation, the total α radioactivity and total β radioactivity were 0.001-0.084 Bq/L and 0.025-0.079 Bq/L, respectively. Both were lower than the national standard value given in the GB 5749-2006 " Sanitary standards for drinking water" . There was no significant change in the radioactivity level of source water, factory water and peripheral water during the wet and dry periods. The activity concentration of 90Sr in these four types of food ranged from 0.037 to 1.216 Bq/kg before operation and from 0.049 to 0.692 Bq/kg after operation, all lower than the standard value of " Standard for the concentration in radioactive substances in food" (GB 14882-94). Conclusions:Before and after the operation of Sanmen NPP, the total α and total β radioactivity in drinking water and 90Sr activity concentration in food are stable, below the national standard limit.
